Logs
Following recent comments about expansion of the blackberry thicket making access difficult, we have decided to archive this cache and relocate the container and contents as a brand new cache.
Not sure whether to put this as a note or a not found.
My brother-in-law and I approached this one from the wrong side of the river initially (that'll teach us to read everything).
We eventually approached from the recommended path and hopped the rocks. As per the frustration experienced by TeamAstro, the closest we could get was 9m.
The blackberries grow over 8 feet tall now and there is no safe way to get through them. We did try to use some logs we found nearby to make a kind of road, but I think the only thing that will defeat this infestation is either chain mail or a flamethrower.
Even though we couldn't get to GZ, we've chosen to log a didn't rather than a note. This might help others in the future make a decision as to whether to bring suitable attire.
Thanks for the cache anyway, it's an interesting kitchen.

I heeded the Maccas advice and took the south trail from the broken down sign. I ended up skirting the cache and made my way down. How close could I get with all the blackberries? 9m. Yep, 9m, yet I might as well have been 90m. The blackberries have formed an impenetrable barrier between my every position and the cache….. from every angle I could try. I spent the better part of 90 minutes here trying to get in. Alas, no bingo this time.
It is a lovely spot. I met some locals here who thought I had car trouble (I was here so long). Very nice people. While parked opposite the old sign, next to the old picnic table, look just up the road. Note the Avoca Fault, the white sedimentary rock. This structure has a lot of geological significance. Do a Google to learn more.
I have logged as not a find, but maybe should be a note as I could not get to GZ. Oh well.
Clear skies, John.
I am not sure if we went in the wrong way or not but we could not find a way in with out a bit of pain. We pushed on and soon found GZ and the cache. Must have been a fantastic spot before the blackberries took over.
Took $100 dollar eraser
Left Soap ( to cleanse future cachers wounds) & aussie flag
Thanks maccamob for another enjoyable cache. No pain, no gain.
PS:After reading the logs at GZ we have to take our hats off to Team Frogger who were unable to use the creek for access.

Found it at 16:00. We were staying only 2.5kms away from here celebrating our 1st Wedding Anniversary so this one was a must. The Black berry bushes have certainly taken this area over. Did the 'Rock Hopping' trip to the cache. A quick search and the cache was found.
Took: Toy scooter
Left: $100.00 eraser.
Thanks Maccamob.

ok, the track is totally overrun with blackberries now, couldn't go that way. Had to rock hop down the creek and scramble, hands and knees under low bushes and shutie eyes and push through a couple of bramble patches (still pulling out thorns.)Finally arrived at GZ and found it fairly easily after that. Then took a few deep breaths and scrambled/dived and pushed my way back out again. Swapped yoyo out for Frog tin in. Definitely need tough clothing/footwear for this one.
When we parked the car I started off down a set of steps while the other three, (Kiwideb, Alan-san and Latina (Holly)) took off up the hill. I joined them and later found myself peering over a cliff edge somewhere close to GZ. After a little backtracking, we found the correct route and headed out to the cache.
Holly, not having been told what to wear, had street shoes not really suitable for bushwalking/rockhopping. Alan, being the gentleman he is, helped her our while Kiwideb and myself headed for the cache. Having arrived at GZ, the cache was easily found but left untouched for Alan-san and Holly to find.
I left TB Croc and also a Yo-Yo, whilst taking some finger paint. Thanks Maccamob, for an enjoyable cache in a most spectacular area.
Note: When I picked up TB Croc, it wasn't in the inventory of the cache where I retrieved it, so it is not in my inventory, thus I haven't been able to deposit it here officially.

Found in the company of Muzza, Alan-san and Holly.
We went barging up the hill to this cache until Muzza yelled from somewhere above that there was a track and this wasn't it!!! We were making a track of our own. Poor Holly was in elevated street shoes and stuggling. Alan-san came to her rescue. Considering he didn't tell her what caching involved, I should think so.
After a few scratches and boulder climbing found my way to GZ. Muzza found the cache before me . Oh well better 2nd then last.
Found at 1450 Swapped finger paint for a coin.
Thanks for the cache. What a spectacular view.
But oh those prickles . They hurt!!!

Found at 3pm by Muzza, Kiwideb, myself and Latina (Holly). Initially us boys raced off following the gps pointers, but soon found ourselves near GZ but way too high. So after a little back tracking the boys and girls followed the correct path through the spiky plants and over rocks unliked by Holly. At the true GZ the cache was well hidden but obvious to a geocacher. In the background we heard frogs and crickets, but they were very well hidden.
Swaps: Alan-san, keytag (out) for a ball bearing puzzle (in), and Latina, a shell (out) for a toy scooter (in).

Stopped by for a check today. Found the cache still in place and in good condition. The track is becoming a bit overgrown by blackberries in one or two spots now, so you will need suitable clothing to protect your limbs. We've bumped up the terrain rating to reflect this.
Found by Team Piggy.
A nice easy one that could have been thorny !
Thanks maccamob. Interesting rock formations nearby.

Found at 2.50pm. An easy find after we picked the right approach, no scratches, just a few rocks.
An easy find as Meredith walked straight to cache location.
No exchange made as we had no small items with us.
Interesting area we have not visited previously.
Thanks Maccamob

Found 11:25, having; “battled the blackberries, frolicked in the furze, gamboled in the gorse and tangled with the thistles”. Thanks for some more scratches and prickles, Maccamob.
Took dice from Jupiter’s and left USSR 3 kopek.

Found at 7.15PM We love daylight saving - it would have been dark at this time a couple of weeks ago. We were lucky and picked the right direction to approach this cache from and found it without any difficulty. Nothing exchanged. Greg and Bev
Found by Ray and Maya (The Nomads) at 4:50PM, our third for the day. We managed to avoid all the obstacles refered to in the notes, but it took a long walk. Twice in and out for me as we mucked up the co-ords on the GPS and I had to return to the car to get the correct ones. It seems the co-ords must have been updated from those on the original print out we had with us. Once we had the correct co-ords, in the general area of the cache, we found it without any difficulty. Whilst I returned to the car for the correct co-ords, Maya sat on a rock and waited, even took a photo of herself sitting there on the rock. Guess which rock she sat on. We swapped a Snoopy Keyring for a Teddy. Thanks Maccamob, from Ray and Maya.
What a lovely location just the sort of place we like - impressive rocks and still, calm water. Thanks to Team Frogger who had blazed the trail the previous day getting to the cache wasn't too bad from the Devils Kitchen side. Found the cache reasonable easily and rewarded ourselves with a couple of Chocolate Freddos - thanks to Team Frogger. Left a SA Badge. Thanks Maccamob.

First to find it....WooHooo!
....but had a devil of a time getting there
Not sure if the blackberies have grown like crazy during the past 2 months or if the water level has changed, or perhaps we just missed something obvious (we think we 'got' the clues), but to us terrain 2.5 seems a bit low (even made the Junior member of Team Frogger and Guests sit this one out, and very glad that we did). After running out of rocks, our approach can best be described as 'See the wombat, feel the wombat, BE the wombat!'
Amazing place, the colours and textures are fantastic.
Exchanged the dolphin notes for some froggy energy boosters, the only thing we had small enough.
We decided to exit by climbing up the gully wall, rather than return the way we came in.

Well I had a little spare time so thought I'd try to find this cache. I know the area very well and have even considered placing a cache here. Infact way back before cache 10,000 we where considering placing one here. Anyway back to the story. After 15 or so minutes looking I had no luck and was running out of time to try and find this one. All becsuse of work . I will try it again when I have more time.
