You asked for it, the updated nano rant thanks to James0116 and ChatGPT. Oh, nano caches, you little perplexing creatures! How you manage to frustrate and challenge me at every turn is truly a marvel. I find myself both enamored and exasperated by your minuscule presence in the geocaching world. Your diminutive size may be your claim to fame, but it's also the cause of my never-ending struggle to locate and conquer your hidden domains.Let's delve into the realm of your size, shall we? Nano caches, you're like the David of the geocaching universe, defying all odds with your small stature. But here's the thing: David had a giant to defeat, while you, nano caches, are the giants in disguise. You pack an incredible punch with your infinitesimal dimensions, testing the limits of my observation skills and pushing me to question the very nature of reality. How can something so small be so devilishly difficult to find? It's a perplexing paradox that keeps me coming back for more, even as I grumble in frustration.Ah, and let's not forget about your crafty hiding spots. Nano caches, you're the masters of disguise, the Houdinis of the geocaching world. You can be tucked away in the tiniest crevices, camouflaged amidst the natural environment, or cleverly concealed within everyday objects. I've spent countless hours searching for you, only to realize that you were nestled right under my nose the entire time. It's a testament to your cunning and my occasional lack of perception. But don't worry, nano caches, I'm determined to improve my geocaching detective skills and conquer your hidden lairs once and for all! Now, let's talk about the logbooksor should I say, the almost non-existent log snippets. Nano caches, you're not known for your spacious accommodations. Instead, you offer a mere fragment of paper, a token space for geocachers to leave their mark. It's like trying to squeeze an epic tale into a tweet, a monumental challenge in brevity. But hey, maybe that's the beauty of itforcing us to distill our geocaching experiences into concise snippets, like haikus of adventure. And let's not overlook the fragility of your petite existence. Nano caches, you're delicate creatures, delicate like a delicate thing delicately balanced on a delicate tightrope. Okay, maybe that's a bit too delicate, but you get the idea. Handling you requires the utmost care and precision, as one clumsy moment could result in irreversible damage. It's a dance of finesse, a delicate ballet between geocacher and cache, where even the slightest misstep could shatter the delicate equilibrium. So, dear nano caches, you perplexing enigmas, I both curse and embrace your existence. You challenge my skills, test my determination, and occasionally make me question my sanity. But amidst the frustration, there's an undeniable thrill, a sense of accomplishment when I finally conquer your microscopic challenges. So, here's to you, nano caches, for keeping geocaching interesting, for reminding us that adventure comes in all sizes, and for pushing us to explore the vast and tiny corners of the world.Thank you, team mono, for the cache that sparked this rant. Your nano cache has ignited a flame within me, a desire to conquer the tiny kingdoms and unravel their mysteries. I appreciate the effort you put into creating an experience that simultaneously frustrates and delights. And to all the geocachers out there, whether you love or loathe the nano caches, remember that it's the diversity of caches that keeps our geocaching journeys exciting and unpredictable.

With some decent weather today, I decided to make the most of it and get out and do some caching; especially with crappy weather still ruining potential caching days. Today the decision was made to head south to Meningie to find some of the caches that had been put out since I was last in the area. It was a decent day where I was able to find the majority of the caches that I was targeting. A nice easy park near ground zero and I made my way to the cache. It did not take long before I had the cache in hand and was signing the log. There was only one spot the cache could be, and finding it was quick and easy despite its size. Bloody nanos, spawn of Satan, burn down the nano factory and persecute anyone who sells nanos.

Find #7969, at 04:43 pm

After a couple of events, a few caches including the furore of a certain cache yesterday in Adelaide ………..I’ve headed South today to add to a paddock I’m slowly creating here

Cache was quickly found, log stamped and returned as found

TFTC

And, now for the compulsory nano rant: "Nanos Bloody Nanos! Infuriating to find, infuriating to sign and infuriating to roll. Spawn of satan. Burn down the Nano factory, and exterminate anyone who hides Nanos."

We are off on a trip to the Birdsville Races and then across to Queensland - the plan is for about 6 weeks all going well.
Day 1 was Portland to Cockatoo Lake.
Day 2 was Cockatoo Lake to Tailem Bend where we jumped on the bikes and toured around town.
Day 3 we jumped on the bikes and travelled the loop to Wellington. It was a beautiful day, a touch cool and we stopped for hot drinks and a cold beverage at the Welly.

We stopped for second lunch and enjoyed the views, the builders and the pelicans.
Thanks for contribution to our holiday team mono

Our second day in Tailem bend with BettyBoo3747 and the geodoggies.
A nice day forecasted so we unloaded the deadly treadlies and did the ride on the Murray Coorong Trail down to Wellington and back. Found a few caches on the way.
I haven't seen this area since they did all this development - very flash!
We pulled into the car park and a caravan was just leaving - iluvtrekking. We stopped for a chat and let the geodoggies socialise.
Grabbed the cache after reading the information boards.
Thanks, Robmc.

#20085. Day 15 of our holiday in SA and today Robmc, I and the geodoggies headed out from base at Tailem Bend to ride along the River Bend Heritage Trail to Wellington East before crossing on the Ferry. After a very nice lunch on the terrace at the Pub we rode back through Jervois to the top ferry and across to Tailem Bend. A 37km ride that I would not classify as an easy ride. So much bumping and bouncing on the way down and a head wind on the way back.

We rode around the corner and there was the caravan of iluvtrekking. That was a surprise as we have been following them at various spots all around SA recently. We had a chat for a while before parting ways. Off we went to GZ for a very quick find here. A lovely spot for a picnic at the new shelter and the houses are very impressive along the waterways.

Thanks team mono

Found at 10:57 during a fantastic extended weekend away with Shonkylogic and Southern Cross Caching. We had grand plans to complete swathes of powertrails and solved puzzles, but the weather slowed us down a bit. Even so, it was a lot of fun, and we passed my goal - to get my 9000th find

Friday, day 1, had us driving and caching from morning in Adelaide until the 6pm event in Millicent.

Day 2 focussed on the fishing series, wine bottle, and numerous other caches in that vicinity.

Day 3 was our slowest, due to the worse weather, but still a lot of fun.

Day four, after doing SFE series and nearby caches, plus those we passed, I arrived home at about 8pm, after finding my 9000th cache along the way.

Great to catch up with many of the usual faces, some others we hadn't seen for a long time, and a few new faces too.

Thanks for the hides

Apologies for the generic log.

Uni and Medusa, Southern Cross Caching, and I ... shonkylogic spent the October Long Weekend in 2021 attending the Easter 2020 Mega Event at Millicent.

Along the way we stopped to find as many caches as we could - because we somehow convinced our better halves not to accompany us. Or perhaps it was because they really don't like caching as much as us.

We came well equipeed in the Pahero, with not one, not two but THREE TOTTs to help us. Even that wasn't sufficient for all the hides, sometimes you just don't have the right tool for the job.

We enjoyed meeting up with old friends, in these days of Covid is really is very special to be able to hold an event like this.

Thanks team mono for placing and maintaining the cache

So many caches to find in the area around Murray Bridge but with recent hand surgery it was decided a relatively easy day was the go grabbing just a few local caches on each side of the river between the Bridge and Wellington. A delicious lunch was also enjoyed at the Wellington pub

We have been to Wellington several times over the years but have never had a look around the marina so it was nice to have a squizzy on the way to this cache

Many thanks for the hide team mono

This weekend, I headed to the limestone coast / south-east for cave diving. On Friday night, I drove via the Coorong rode via Kingston, Beachport, and Millicent to Glencoe. Saturday was spent cave diving near Tantanoola and Engelbrecht Cave in Mount Gambier, and then Sunday after a cave dive, I returned to Adelaide via Mount Gambier, and the wine bottle/glass geoart in Kalangadoo. I was expecting a nice weekend of sunny weather, but instead, there was wind and rain for the most part.

Today, I travelled from Adelaide to Glencoe, and made stops in Meningie, along the Coorong, Kingston, Beachport, and Rendelsham. A really nice sunny evening, and subsequently arrived very late at my destination.

Some really nice picturesque views of the Murray from the boat ramp today. I had seen this cache hide type before, so this didn't take long for me to find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks team mono for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

I had a very early start to the day with an event in the city then a drive to Meningie to stay with friends for a few days. With all this extra time I had, I stopped for a few caches along the way (as you do). [^]

There have been a few new caches published in Wellington since I was last here so this was a good time to come and find them. Big Grin

I waited for a boating muggle to leave before heading over to GZ and the cache was soon found and the log signed. Cool
