Relatively easy find near a pretty walk. As already mentioned, cache is waterlogged. Didnt sign but took photo as proof. TFTC!
Very nice spot, swain gardens is the best! Going off track definitely saved a bit of time Cache is very wet.
The cache was filled with water, a metal pin had rusted inside the cache leaving everything orange, and logbook + pencil were soaked needs attention. TFTC though very lovely.
Finally! How did we miss that!!Our Son and his wife moved into Killara in about 2020, think this might be try number 4 for us. We have been in Sydney from Adelaide for over a month now, time and the weather have prevented us from catching this one. Now to avenge two more blues.
Went to paint and sip then decided not to do either. We may have nearly died.It was the right choice.
Tftc. Lots of sus hiding spots. Dear owner. This cache is soaked. Maybe change it.
#5 for the day walking from Linfield Stn. Small bit of bushwhacking until we made the find. TFTC
Found, with shaneo58, We came down from Newcastle to do some easy caches on the northern line. near Lindfield and Roseville. Quick find on the nice walk.

Came down from Newey by train to grab caches in this suburb . Loved this cache and the beautiful bush walk. Gets a fav for me. TFTC exploring Dutchman.
Second time here. Got to the park and thought I have been here before not realising it when I targeted for today. The area has been cleared a little so it was a easier spot of cache
Well, today saw me travel up the line to Lindfield station and explore the area for a few caches.
This was the fourth of them, and was also the most challenging - in a wonderful woodland setting.

Happy to say after a year of no finds we made a fairly quick find after a good look tftc
We looked for ages. We also found trouble with the GPS but kept going back to one spot that looked a great place for a hide. No treasure to be found. Found a rock against a tree, thought bingo, no. Went everywhere in a 30 metre radius. It's alluded us today.
I needed an additional piece of info from a previous log before I was in the exact right place. But when there it was a quick find. SL. TNLN TFTC

Needing a find today to fill in a missing calendar, I targeted this one on my lunch break.
I parked the car and made the short walk in.
As it started to rain, I soon spotted the cache in the nice wall.
I completed signing duties and placed back as found.

A lovely area to visit with the geofam. Nice to find a good sized cache container here. Thanks for the fun.

I followed the GPS to the right place and soon found something that matched the hint. A quick search and the cache was soon found. After a few rainy days, I also "found" a couple of leeches.
GPS bounced around but stayed on the right side of the path. Spanned the search area from the path and found where it fits the description. Once we fixed the target area it was a quick find. And yes, we saw a couple of bush turkeys and lizards. TFTC!
A bit wet today but still a magical area. Thank you for bringing me to this wonderful place. TFTC!!
My GPS didn’t like this area and it took awhile to spot the item others have mentioned. From there an expanded search area revealed the container.

Initially walked past the cache and it wasn't until I walked down the stairs that I realised that I had gone too far. Spotted a rocky stone wall soon after I turned around and it was easy peasy from there on. Walking back out I spotted the biggest brush turkey mound that I've encountered. Lovely remnant of Sydney bushland here. TFTC exploring Dutchman.
Found after work today.
I spotted four brush turkeys on my way to the GZ.
This is a really lovely bit of urban bushland.
At the GZ i was able to locate the cache fairly quickly and soon had the signing duties completed.
The container is in good condition and the log is dry.
Thanks.

Have the day off if work, so decided to drive around and find some caches nearby to home.

What a nice walk into GZ and beyond to Swains Gardens. From the hiding place we spotted something moving in the bush a hundred metres or so away. Turned out it was a beautiful red waratah being swayed by the bird that had perched on it. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek

We love Swain Gardens and it is a great place for a lazy afternoon on a picnic blanket with tea, snacks and a good book.
But today it was all about a cache. I took the entrance on Nelson Rd. A red tape indicated Wombin Reserve was closed due to the storm damage. But I was not to be deterred with only 100 meters to go to the cache.
As I walked in there was a big pile of leaves with a bush turkey on top and a bit further I even saw a fox running away from me. I reached the rocky wall and started my search. The cache was found quickly and I quickly got out of the Reserve before I would be noticed.

Its Happy Cachemas time so of course had to find at least one today in between other festive activities. A bit of storm damage around but that didn't stop us making our way down into this little bit of nice bush. We soon reached a likely spot and a look in a few spots to make the find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

My daughter had a birthday nearby, so I decided to find some caches while I waited. I parked along the road and headed down the path through this pleasant piece of bush. Once at GZ I quickly determined the likely hiding style and soon had CIH - TNLNSL TFTC

We come to Swain Gardens from time to time and it's a lovely hidden gem. Deserted as usual, it didn't take too long to spot the hide without disturbing GZ. Great spring morning to be out on the hunt. Cheers!
Lots of mozzies here, so I was glad of a quick find-sign-replace-evac scenario.
Public Holiday so a great day to go for a nice nearby cache. Remember when this one got published - as we went for FTF at Tryon Oval instead.
Made the quick walk - I vaguely remember another cache here some years ago, and cache was found quickly despite the weak GPS signal.
Cache in good nick - container should do a great job for the years to come.

Once again I, Mr Cee, have never been here before but Mrs Cee has orienteered here previously. We must now walk on to see more of the park.
Very picturesque and bushy, well used track and easy strolling.
What a great structure too, someone was working hard to build this.
Thanks exploringdutchman

I have not visited this reserve and it is a really nice place for walking. We followed the track until the GPS told me to veer off, and I could soon see a very likely place to check. The cache was well hidden and in a private place where neighbours would not be troubled, so I logged our find and walked back to the car, intending to follow the track further but it was getting late. Thanks exploringdutchman for bringing us to this lovely area.
Today we were out on the caching trail to find the last of the clues, and to then start collecting some gemstones, for the "Mystery at the Museum" cache challenge. Visited Lane Cove (West & North), then Lindfield, and then finished off with one final cache at Killara. This was the 10th of 10 finds for the day.
After spending most of the day caching around Lane Cove we were now heading back towards home, but took a slight diversion to Lindfield for a couple of caches in Roseville Park, and then to Killara for this one, our last cache of the day.
Parked the geomobile on Nelson Road and then entered the reserve and followed the walking track all the way to GZ, where we were greeted by no less than six brush turkeys scratching away in the leaf litter. Quickly uncovered the hide, which could have taken much longer given the many possibilities available here, and had the nice robust cache container in hand. Signed & stamped the logbook, TNLN, then replaced as found. TFTC exploringdutchman.

I've been to this park before, in the early caching days. There was a great cache much further along the walk, maybe even past the gardens. The walk is worth doing.
Today I followed the track downhill. The creek was flowing well after all the rain and the water was cascading over the rocks. It looked lovely.
Once down into the rainforest the GPS decided it wanted me on the other side of the creek. How to cross without falling in or walking through the water? Eventually I found a place and made my way to 4m then began to search. There really wasn't much matching the hint here but at least the sun was making an appearance and with that the GPS decided I should be on the original side of the creek.
It was much harder getting back, but didn't fall in, didn't even get wet feet!
I followed the pointer and began a new search. After several minutes I found the cache, about 6m out for me.
Everything's in good condition.

After a few finds today, so headed east to Killara and East Lindfield.
Was initially after one but found that quicker than I expected, so went for a second. Got that, but with problems...
Sorry for the late logging - I've been somewhat out of commission lately and today's finds just slipped under the radar.

What a lovely spot.
Made my way down the track and after the rain the creek was running strongly. Got close and realised where I needed to be.
Quickly spotted the likely hide. CIH!
Completed signing duties and replaced. Then the walk back out.

Walked down towards GZ in an almost mythical forest, to some extent made so by the recent rain. At GZ we searched for a while, before the cache was found in a logical location.
What an interesting place. We will come back and explore the other parts later as there are three caches we have our eyes on. But for today we settled for finding this one.
It was getting a little darker so we were actually helped by using our phone torches.
Soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks
