I did not see the parking. Unfortunately my wife forced me to stop. Two caches ans a lovely beach nearby. The task was easy. Thanks for hiding.TFTC magicchicken
Took the photo for this one after finding the trad. AP+CC for AddisonPascal + CatCasper. TFTC!
Lots of people posing in front of the sign including in the middle of the road. Why be safe when you can get a great Tik Tok? Heading toward Apollo Bay. Timely find ahead of Remembrance Day. Thanks for setting.
Found with Gazania Rigens and Wombatwandering as per their logs. Teeming with teams of enthusiastic young oriental selfie-takers taking their time making those obligatory strange (and highly meaningful, I'm sure) hand gestures that seem to be de rigueur for Insta cred.It was both interesting and moving to read of the construction of this amazing road commemorated by this arch and sculpture.
We stopped here on our way to Apollo Bay. Lots of selfie taking tour groups made it a bit more difficult to get a picture with just the arch and no strangers, but we managed eventually. It sure is a beautiful road. TFTC!
Thank you for this virtual! A quick stop here to enjoy the sea breeze for a moment. Why not geocache as well then Greetings from Finland!
Chewbacca72 and I are traveling during 4 months through Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. A few caches that are on our way should not be missing. This cache is one of them. Many thanks to AusFox; for this cool virtual.Best regards, searchersab
Thank you for the cache. Meerana and Andy_Cayoon from Germany.
We were quite surprised to find the arch several dozen of kilometers from the start of the great ocean road, but it provides some nice extra information about the people who built this road.
Last stop on our way home from Warrnambool. Still heaps of people here for a Monday afternoon when school term 4 started today. Thanks for highlighting the history of this road
Many years since I've been along this stretch. Heaps of tourists hete today dodging the rain showers.Quite the history this arch has.A favourite point from me
Over for my sisters 50th, we decided to undertake a mini road trip like Thelma and Louise without the heartbreak!!! It started here and of course I couldnt possibly continue without logging this virtual!Interesting story about the archway and neat statue!Cheers
Pretty nice landmark on the way. We're stopped in the sun, buy left while raining. Tftc
Today is day one of our great ocean road adventure. Stopped here to remember those who built this road.
I went with da Bush Family went on a 2-day drive on the Great Ocean Road for some spectacular views and of course some target caches along the way. This was one of them. TFTC
#19753 - 5:18:00 PM; Day twelve of a road trip with the geohoney, taking the long way inland to Adelaide from the National Capital and back again via the coast. After spending the night in Port Campbell, we backtracked to the Bay of Islands to start our earthcache led mission along the Great Ocean Road to the 12 Apostles. Once that was completed, the road took us inland and upward for a couple of trads, including this one, before heading back downhill for the coast again. Finally made it to the end of the road where we stopped to grab a snap at the arch, before making a beeline for Melbourne. A great trip today through plenty of fabulous scenery! TFTC AusFox;
On our way back from a beautiful holiday from Lorne and decided to get a photo in front of the iconic sign. TFTC!
During our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia, we arrived in Geelong this morning by night boat from Tasmania. From Geelong we drive to Appolo Bay via the Great Ocean Road.Of course, we took a photo at the Memorial Arch for this virtual cache.**AusFox;**, thanks for the cache.
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Singapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. We had about three weeks in New Zealand which went by too quickly. The remaining five weeks are spent in Australia. The last days were spent in Cradle Mountain which we absolutely loved. Yesterday we drove to Devonport and last night the Spirit of Tasmania will ferry us back to the mainland. Our destination for today is Apolo Bay. A short drive zo we have several stops for sightseeing and/or geocaching. We also have a stop and a walk here. Very nice and interesting area. Took the required pic for this virutal. Thank you very much for this virtual.
Had quite a few stops at this structure over the years and sure we've got a photo at home. but it was taken back in the days of developed photos. No problems today as this early there was only one other group of muggles here.A great memorial and as you drive this road you can't help at marvel at the building of it.
In a bus with 20 overseas tourists and a drag queen driver, the chikins left Melbourne City for a day out on the Great Ocean Road. Of course we stopped here briefly for us all to snap a pic. Didn't get a chance to do the traditional, but thankfully we got this virtual to show that we were in the southern Parts of Victoria. It was a full day, driving around 550 kms being called doll and darling and heaing about the queens in the club. Rather hilarious fun day enjoying Victoria beauty. TFTC. The chikins from Brisbane
We kunnen terugkijken naar 2 mooie weken in Australi!NLBokkie and I are going on holiday to Australia for 4 weeks. We will go to Tasmania for the first week and then travel around on the "mainland" for 3 weeks. Along the way I'll meet my niece, I haven't seen her for 50 years. It will be a holiday full of experiences...... Our cache goal is to visit different countries. So we fly back to Dubai and forth via HongKong. We would like to score an FTF in Australia. We do that in Tasmania ?? Then the webcam caches in Adelaide and the old caches between Adelaide and Sydney. Then we end up at the Mega in Canberra. A full program which a lot of fun! Unfortunately, after 2 weeks we have to end our trip with an earlier return flight to the Netherlands. My mother passed away and we have to go back. We can look back at 2 beautiful weeks in Australia!
Day 12 of our roadtrip in Australia. Had a great night in Apollo Bay with the sounds of the ocean. Tasty breakfast in the morning and then off to Melbourne, stopping a few times along the road for Earthcaches or interesting towns. Lot's of people here but somehow managed to take a photo without anyone else. Thanks and kind regards from Switzerland, Hinni&Simo
Even though we had both been down here before neither of us could really remember what the original arch looked like. Good to see it replaced however and the tradition continued. We headed off down the Great Ocean Road for a few days for a belated wedding anniversary celebration. The weather was kind and the scenery along the road spectacular. We based ourselves in Lorne and then tripped around checking out the local places. While we had visited the area some time ago it was great to spend more time exploring the area, and of course the caching.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache AusFox;.**SKI Pair****
On secondment to Melbourne, Australia, combined with short holidays here and there. From day 49/74, I was accompanied by my dear son, geocacher Ruupertti, who travelled from Finland to visit me in Australia and to spend a holiday with me in New Zealand at the end of my secondment. Day 55/74, Saturday. This was our Great Ocean Road day. Unfortunately, we both got the flu and did not feel too well, but we decided to go anyway, because this was our only opportunity. We really enjoyed the road with the beautiful views. My favorite spot was the 12 apostles. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Vaasa, Finland! SM325 and I are on a bucket list trip to New Zealand and Australia. This is our first time here and we are having a blast. We traveled here from Ohio, USA. The scenery has been magnificent! Today we are doing a tour along the Great Ocean Road. TFTF!
Mrs. Amazing and I are on a three week trip in New Zealand and Australia as part of our bucket list. This is one of the geocaches we got along the way. It definitely gets a favorite point from me. Thanks so much for putting this one out as well as feeding my insatiable addiction!

GAP YEAR BIG LAP PART 2: THE ROAD TRIP - Day 59 Wandering along the Great Ocean Road heading west on our big adventure, we stopped here for the obligatory photo. It took a while to get one without any muggles in it, but eventually it was achieved.Had a great time at Split Point climbing the lighthouse & would have liked to explore Airey's Inlet more but we still have a fair way to go before our camping spot at Apollo Bay.Next on for a look at Lorne. We did try for another cache here but could not reach without attracting too much muggle & traffic attention.#4128 @ 1420hTFTC AusFox; ?? ??? ??? ???

#2966 This is my day 274, and the longest physical cache find streak so far. I want to see how far I go. I am on a family vacation in Australia. After visiting Brisbane, Tasmania, and South Australia, now we are at our final stop, Melbourne. Today, we signed up for the Great Ocean Road day tour and found caches along the way. This was the last stop of the trip. Thank you for the cache!-crystaloops from Taipei, Taiwan @ March 4, 2024 16:41:45

Almost 300 so far!Not counting excisting geocaching-friends that is!So cudos to all participants and co/eo! Well done!!That is now two days history, and today was time to make new history!Teres a lot of old caches here in Australia, so i picked those who filled the holes in etergs hidden month/Jasmer-calendar,wich i think and hope shes happy about!Today we got to Ballarat, from Mt Gambier, about 200 km before Melbourne, from Adelaide, and yet again we tried the "Golden Ocean Road",wich supposed to be nice.Well, we are from Norway, so it dindt impress us. At all. But today we got a view over the ocean for a while. We hoped to get to Melbourne today, but that plan fell apart, so we try again tomorrow. From Ballarat were heading the other direction, for about 25 km, for yet another old cache, before we give a shot at Melbourne. If youre cache is receiving this log, that means we visited it, found it,signed it - unless if it was a Virtual ofcourse - as TA = Team Avensis, wich was eterg and me, and replaced it!Thank you all for all the caches!Greetings from Norway!TA = Team Avensis = eterg and stensbye

Greetings from Seattle! I'm down under for the first time with jtcoffee to attend the Great Leap Forward in Adelaide. While here, we're naturally trying to pack in as many "bonus" activities as possible, including (but not limited to) the following: ??? Log our find finds in the southern hemisphere ????? Find Lane Cove, Australia's Oldest ??? Experience Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Sydney ??? Drive the Great Ocean Road ???? Visit the Lord of the Rings filming locations in New Zealand ????Tackle a challenge cache requiring 31 Earthcaches, and 31 Virtuals in 31 days (GC32TBZ and GC32TC2) ?? ??Today is Great Ocean Road Day and this was our first Virtual of the day, and for those keeping score (aka me), our 15th of the trip. If applicable, answers will be sent in (or already have been) by Jessie. Thanks for keeping this one in play and thus contributing to our amazing adventure in Oz! ??
Greetings from Seattle! ??I am lucky enough to attend the Great Leap Forward Mega-Event in Adelaide with my fellow Lackey and best geo-buddy giacaches, and we hit the road to take the scenic route to get there. ?? We're heading from Melbourne to Warrnambool today via the Great Ocean Road and I've been so excited to see this place since so many people have recommended it! It was great to see this iconic road with all of the great wildlife and scenery. We definitely had to stop here to take some photos and find the caches here. There was a lot to see and even more people here seeing it, but we got what we needed! Thanks for adding to a beautiful day and amazing trip!
6 months ago, during a frenzy, we said to ourselves "why not going to the mega in Adelaide for the leapday". From scratch we moved on to preparing an 18-day project in Australia. Our objectives are simple, visit a small part of this immense continent while validating a few caches. There are so many caches (impossible to do everything) that we will select. Our plan will allow us to visit Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Mount Gambier and finish in Adelaide for the famous Mega.During our stay we will log PestiHoot for Pestinette and Blackhoot. Today, we take the great road sea to go to Mount Gambier. We halt to see this spotThere are a lot of people here. Lucky, this cache is virtual cache. Thanks for the cache and the discovery of beautiful or original spots
Ich bedanke mich bei AusFox; fr den Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch: Virtual Reward 2.0 .On my tour through Australia and New Zealand I was part of the DownUnder24 team. In some caches, the task was solved as a group, but individuals also submitted the solutions. Conclusion: every virtual event was an experience and I saw and learned a lot. I would like to thank AusFox; for the Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch: Virtual Reward 2.0 .
Together with 37 Cachers, we start a journey to Australia and New Zealand via Doha.In Qatar we spent one night and had almost one full day before heading to Sydney. In Australia we visit the cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Cairns. In New Zealand will be Aukland, Rotorua, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown. To safe Logbook space, we signed the logbooks with our team-name "DownUnder24".Our Teammembers are:\_gc_, AmoebeST, AndyausDu, B@cker-1, Biggidag, Brummelbren, CacheTaucher, cooljo, Fotopinguin, Freizeit-Tina, Gazelle5111, GEO Karen, GoanToni, Hfi1, hupsi-1, karrai*, Leilah03, lenny love, Lupus54, Maxipimpf, muschel3, Ollilein, Opaundenkel, penalty96, Rheins, Simowl, sozioma, Sr. Elli, Team Zyanor, viko76, Webmasterrollerin, Whlhase, XenSuoThank you for the Cache.
Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna. To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well. This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Many thanks to the event owners!Of course we would like to thank all the owners for showing us the great locations, the sometimes tricky puzzles, exciting multis and wherigos, as well as the interesting virtuals and earth caches - TFTC!!!---In der Besetzung KiSt unternahmen wir zusammen mit 36 weiteren Geocachern fr drei Wochen eine sehr weite Reise nach Australien ???? und Neuseeland ????.

Danke fr diesen Geocache. Danke fr die Ausarbeitung. Danke frs Zeigen.Lieber Gru aus Duisburg / DeutschlandAndyDieser Logeintrag wird mit Hilfe von Google bersetzt.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We set off on a long journey with 37 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
