Continuing our journey east from WA and home to Vic. Had a great weekend at WAGB and now seeing the sights and ticking off LGA's.We have now collected our van and heading NE with 3 goals today, complete another 2 SA LGA's, reach 8000 finds and complete our D/T grid. This cache has us closer to our finds goal. Cache in good condition.TFTC TB's visited
Wasn't exactly sure what to look for, but rechecked coords and found it immediately. Seen this type several times before, good hide. TFTC.
The weather was okay for a bike ride so the plan was to drive to Gawler, collect a few caches on the way, then ride the Meat Trail and look for a few of the caches along there. Its a good thing I took my gravel bike because I underestimated the degree of ruts and sandy sections along the Meat Trail - and that only made the ride even more fun...at times collecting caches broke the flow and rhythm of the ride so I didn't stop to look for all caches. Great ride, although the plan to grab a bite to eat at the Wasleys Hotel didn't work out as they dont open the kitchen for lunch - but the person behind the bar was extremely friendly and a beer and pack of barbecue chips sufficed. By the end of the ride I had looked for 21 caches and found 20. Oddest location was pet cemetery. TFTC
Day 6 of the SA trip and after many great caches, bike rides and sights my car is turned for home. Some sad tales here at this lonely crossing.Easy find too.Cheers
Today out and about on 194 of 274 days to get my daily cacher Emerald Using my Garmin Etrex 22X and MacBook Air!Thanks for the cacheTFTC

In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - British Meat [^]
Something special or unusual goes here:Seen plenty of these before so made for a quick find. The Generic Bit:It has been a couple of months since I was in South Australia and available for a Tuesday trek with some others of our Puzzle Solving Group. [^] Today however was all about clearing some new caches that had popped up around the S.A. Sewer Rat's Nest whilst I was interstate. So I met her and Ttrogg at the Rat's nest and set of in search of some newer caches, to complete the nearby meat trail and anything else we were close too. **SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. - BOING*****Thanks BritishMeat for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
BritishMeat and AussieGal88 have given the Meat trail a huge overhaul, including 27 MILE CROSSING. Everything is in working order.
A GeoDay out with the CO himself, Britishmeats! Two birds one stone, I find the cache and they do a maintenance check! Love these cache types! Like this type of cache, road a bit muddy and the doggo across the road, not happy with me. TFTC BritishMeat.

Love this one. So simple to find. Love the little history lesson too. As a Gawler local this was a piece of history I didn't know about.

NEW CACHE!! I know how much you guys LOVE Nano's But the Nano is now gone. New log book! Enjoy everyone
I hit the trail, but the log was totally full and disintegrating. I had to write my name over others. Thanks BritishMeat for the hide.
Yet another reason why I love geocaching, the stories, happy or like this one, so tragic, and history of places that you would just pass-by never knowing.
Out and about with my walking buddies on a nice autumn day, enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of the countryside while chasing a few caches. What can I say.... just living the dream

Found during a caching foray around Gawler for the afternoon before attending the Sandy Creek Sandybration event. Thanks for the cache BritishMeat!
Today was Gawler Day. After doing all my chores I headed off to Gawler on the new road which makes the drive much shorter.
Had a long list of caches to tick off but a later than anticipated start coupled with some hideous hay fever meant I didn’t get as many finds as I’d hoped for. Just wasn’t having caching feels today.
I didn’t have any dnf though which was good and converted one prior frownie into a smile which was also good.
At the end of the day had some fab food at the very well patronized Geocaching day event. Not quite Seattle where I should have been today but still a fabulous event and was great to see so many fellow cachers. After tea found a final 3 caches with JJ52 and then took my pollen infested head home, still suffering the Wattle side effects the next day.
It was pouring with rain when I arrived here to start this walk so sat in the car for a bit before donning the raincoat and walking the entire trail and back. Enjoyed the walk out but then the hay fever took hold thought I was going to have to call it a day but struggled on with the thought of a nice dinner at the end of the day.
TFTC and the walk.

Out on a beautiful day to cache and try our hand at Magnet fishing! After a successful "fishing" expedition with the magnet at the Kapunda lake, Had a quick find here .TFTC
Some terrible history here, worthy of a cache, thanks for placing. Cache and log in great shape.
A poignant read for sure re: the accidents at 27 Mile crossing.
This crossing and line a kilometre north of it were the scene of many a trains seen from my uncle's property west of it on Krieg Rd. [The Nottles, relatives lived there in the 70's].
All ANR diesel locomotive freight trains with the odd Bluebird from Peterborough / Adelaide aswell were seen much to me and my brother's interest [^]
The cache was an immediate find and sign at 10:45 on Tue 26 May 2020.
