F pound with stairman1. What a shame this piece of history has been left to crumble. Would love to have a look inside. All good here. TFTC
Found with goldielover today. One of our last caches to find while on holiday from Brisbane. A nice spot you have brought us to. That is going to be some bridge over there.Tftc
Wow, this is a great hide. I love the historical aspect of this hide. Thank you so much for the parking waypoints, too. They certainly took the worry out of where I was going to be able to park as I approached the now very busy area. The cache was found quickly, the log was signed, and all returned, ready for the next cacher. TFTC
Hi The Hancock Clan. Today I found your cache Roseneath "The Old Watch House". Continuing my quest to complete my find calendar five times over, this cache has contributed to that self imposed challenge. Thanks for hiding the cache for me to find today. A while back, jetstar had flights to Launceston from Brisbane for $150 return. What a great opportunity to grab a new state, some new caches and meet some new people. Oh there was one other purpose, North Tassie. My caching buddy feels the cold so was a little sceptical to the timing and had second thoughts to the idea when I mentioned it, however flights were booked and the weekend finally arrived. Day three and we are heading back, our time here is done, but there is still 4 hrs of time to grab a few more caches and a couple along the way. The plan today was to grab a few of the maps, meet up with EeePees for a couple of caches and then head up north with a few more on the way to the airport. It has been a good time here and we got some very nice caches. Will plan a 2 week trek here next time and finish off what was left behind and start on those geo arts.We are working our way up now and I saw this one. It was a nice quick find with very little thinking. We signed the log and replaced the cache as we found them and then went on our way to the next cache. Thanks for the hide.
Six months ago on a very warm Brisbane day, Chamad found cheap return flights to Launceston. So with little thought, but 6 months to plan, the flights were booked - for a whirlwind 3 day weekend (travel time included). This was day three with an early morning start (in the dark with the sun taking ages to appear). We spent the morning collecting caches around Hobart and met up with Eepees for a few of the trickier ones. By mid morning, we were on our way to Launceston for the plane flight back to Brisbane. Originally the plan was to drive straight to the airport, but we still managed to stop for about 10 caches along the way.Clever container so favourite point awarded.
Super fast find as we are leaving Hobart to head back to NW Coast after LittleBoo17s roller derby training . LittleBoo figured out where this one was as soon as we drove up he definitely has his cache glasses on today. We loved the logbook TFTC Found with LittleBoo17

Today is the fourth day of this trip; my first ever to Tasmania. I'm down here to attend a two-day business intensive and it has been full on. A whole lot of thinking about business strategy and filling whiteboards with plans and promises. But today it's all over, and MissSpondonicle and I now have a hire car and a lunch catch-up to make. But first, we want to try some cheese! And so that takes us on the scenic route, enjoying the morning and me suggesting a careful smattering of geocaches to stop for. We head down across the Derwent for this geocache. The new construction offers a long line of barges that have fantastic names that capture our attention for the crossing. And then we arrive in this park.I found it fascinating, to read the history of this place. And to think it's over 200 years of crossings just here. I quite prefer the current method in a BMW, rather than fearing solitary confinement for not wheelbarrowing hard enough.Around the building, we found ourselves at GZ. The poor area needs a bit of a tidy up, but safe to assume we needn't be hunting through rubbish. A bit of looking about until something not quite right is seen. Sure enough, a very sneaky but sizable geocache is found. What a perfect way to hide it. At 12:15 we'd signed names and replaced as found. Now off to the lunch meeting! Thanks for this geocache, The Hancock Clan
What a cool old building. Wish I could see the solitary "box". But I did see a bunch of rabbits at the back. Cache itself was pretty obvious being the only thing there. But what I didn't expect was the massive log. Could it be any bigger hahahaha.TFTC at a wonderful spot I've driven past many times without realising the history. Favourite from me.
[8957] Holiday in Tasmania, day 4. Today we spent quite some time on the road, driving from Hobart to Strahan. To fight boredom we integrated several stops for geocaches and short walks at Mount Field, Franklin River and Nelson Falls. We also stamped the logbook of this geocache successfully. A very nice container. TFTC!
Found my first ever cache today and what a way to start my caching journey.Thank you Hancock Clan for the cache; it's very clever!
21198During our great trip around the world we arrived in Australia after visiting Canada, US, and some places in the Caribean Sea and Central America as well as Fiji. Besides lots of sightseeing, we can't do without caching, of course. That's why we also passed by this place, searched for the cache, found it and successfully signed the logbook.Thank you for hiding and maintaining the cache. Only thanks to dedicated owners is this beautiful game possible.Wir danken alle Cache-Ownern fr ihren Einsatz, denn ohne die Gemeinschaft ist dieses tolle weltweite Hobby nicht zu realisieren.
I had noticed that this cache had many favourite points, so while driving by today I decided to nip in to the parking area and check it out. Now I can see why! Very clever hide. Favourite point given TFTC
Find # 10584On a brief work trip to Tassie and I have a long list of caches to collect so no time for spinning the wheels Couldnt believe my luck to land this trip before year end so I can soon qualify for a number of different challenges requiring a visit to the 8 S/T in the year. Picked up the trusty SUV hire car on arrival and off I got. Making the most of the opportunity to duck out for a few hours of caching fun. Seeking out the occasional challenge or two, or trying to mop up as many solves as I can to keep that long list under control. Seems to increase faster than it decreases . Quick easy find here as Im heading up to Launie to get some oldies. Cute hide Fav point Thanks so much for the many caches The Hancock Clan and of course for giving me a reason and incentive to get out here, and to experience this part of the world in a different light
Nice quick find here after I noticed someone had written a hint on the cache, lol. Cool building. Tftc
Checked on this one today and it had been muggled. Will sort it out soon...
Today Zozetta and I went caching at New Norfolk, starting the day with a find at Granton, then went up the Lyell Highway, finding a few more caches along the way. We found thirteen caches in New Norfolk, then made our way back down the Highway, finding a few more caches along the way. We ended the day with another find at Granton, a multi which I DNFed a year ago, so it was good to turn that into a smiley. A great day out with twenty caches found, ten traditionals, five adventure lab locations, two mysteries, two multis, and an EarthCache.
This our first stop today, and at GZ we had a quick find. Great hide.
Thanks for the cache The Hancock Clan!

Nearly didn’t look, but given the easy coments it had to be there. On the way to Bruny from West Kentish this morning. Thanks for breaking up our drive. Nice park with toilets too.
Always nice to find something a bit different. Thanks for the effort on this one.
YAY - we found The Old Watch House. Find 16 of Day 6 of our Great Tassie 2023 Caching Adventure. A nice piece of history and a well constructed cache. Log signed and we were off. TFHC
It was a good find we struggled for a bit but all the other comments really helped. We left a trinket we found at a previous find today took this one.
We did find the cache , fantastic hiding spot , however , while putting it back we accidentally dropped it , and cannot retrieve it from the pipe. someone would be able to do it with a long utensil , but we have nothing on hand, we are extremely sorry!! was a complete accident. TFTC nonetheless
So after shashabear9 's video call I had to come see this place for myself.
Loved reading the little bit of history about the place.

Video called my geocache buddy Eviloffspring back in Victoria and went for a drive to find this one. Have driven past it a few times and always wondered what the building was. Was a quick find but nice to see the building up close and learn about it. TFTC.
Moved from Brighton to Hobart showground today out this afternoon for a few caches, TFTC. Favorite point for this cache
These creative options are very cool. Lots of muggles but managed a grab. Lots of history. TY

Really good to have a look at these old buildings close up. Great hide. Thanks The Hancock Clan
Awesome cache! We must have driven past in ignorance many times- as we did unintentionally today too, coming from New Norfolk... the GPS sent us sightseeing. The cache was found within a minute, but it’s an excellent hide! Thanks!!
Driven pass here every time we come to Tassie. Never taken any notice of this building before. Nice hide gets a FAV from us TFTC
