After chatting with a previous finder, I went in for another look. Hunted for around 20minutes with a helper but still unsuccessful. Even sacrificed a pair of jeans which I split during my search The barking dog is very off putting. Guess this makes this cache a nemesis cache of mine.
3 of us looked for 20minutes but the cache remained out of sight for us today. Ill return another day
Didnt find it at GZ, I dug through a whole lot of leaf litter. I might email the CO to see if I was on the right track
After a previous DNF, I was back today with micaparamedic for an event and to make 15 multi finds for a UK challenge. I was in the right place last time but the location hides this one well. Thanks for the multi.
No luck at GZ...Gave up when dog started barking...I'll re-check my co-ords. Cheers
This was our second attempt at finding this cache. Last time we were in Ballarat, we spent about 30 minutes searching, today, it took a couple of minutes. Thank you jiwilly for the history of William Cross Yuille and bringing us here today.
Following the event Micaparamedic and I decided to go get a cache or 2. I had previously DNFed this cache so I suggested we go back to the original waypoint to do the calculations again just in case. I had screwed up my maths...lol...what could go wrong?? Well Micaparamedics maths today was very questionable, maybe the heat had gotten to him...but we eventually agreed on the final coordinates (the same ones I had previously) off we walked to GZ....our GPS were out by 10 after after much searching and a PAF or 2 we finally found this cache.
Decided to find this cache after the St. Pat's point event. The coordinates were worked out quickly and, as there was nothing on at the oval today, we made a quick find. Tftc.
Found by Mary and David at 15:15. Took us ages, D misread a date and we ended up searching in the wrong place. A PAF highlighted the error and we headed off to the proper GZ. There we had to wait for several muggles before we could access GZ. Lots of steps as a result. Gets a FP. Our thanks to jiwilly.
Found with FeatherWaite on a 4-day trip to Victoria. From Adelaide. Our main aim was to complete the Ballarat Geotour and other caches of interest in the broader Ballarat area. There were also a number of events and a CITO to attend. The weather was on the warm side, but not too bad for this time of year, which made for pleasant camping each night. The cache was found in good order. Thanks jiwilly for the cache.
Found during an extended weekend in the Ballarat area with e.gregory1, with the main aim of completing the Ballarat GeoTour, but taking the opportunity to attend a number of events and CITOs, and searching for a good range of caches while touring around the district. Thanks for the cache jiwilly!
Did the calculations for the cache a couple of days ago. Out with the youngest monster today. Stopped at calculated coordinates- surely there cant be a cache hidden anywhere here. A random search and I dont want to give it away how I found it, but I did!! Clever and sneaky hide!! TFTC!!
We were in the spot but Sleepy205 and I didn't have the time needed to really give it a go.
Despite having set myself a limit on walking this far out today, I did come to GZ, but after 15 minutes of searching, I'm giving up. My check sum is right but no luck here.
Having attended a recent event in Brisbane where a fellow cacher brought my attention to the geo tour in Ballarat and its up coming finish in February, i knew this was something I had to make an effort to get to.I also quickly realised that the attribute for the geo tour is the last one I need to achieve a personal challenge so the planning began.Today is day two of the mission and Im down to only two more caches to complete the tour and have the local geo art on the radar. I. Also hoping to squeeze a CITO and an event in if time is on my side lets see how we go.I jumped in The geowagon and ventured off the o soon find a nice parking spot. A short stroll later soon found me at ground zero. It wasnt long before cache was found and my name was printed for prosperity. I returned the cache to its hiding space and made my way back to the car. Ready to head to the next adventureA big thanks to the cache owners of Ballarat for making this cache available to be found.Cheers
good fun. Walk to second location much shorter than if you follow google maps. Good hide
Got 5 days off from work so I decided to come to Ballarat and do the Geo Tour before its gone, also grabbing random caches and Adventures labs along my journey. So thanks to all who have placed caches. Sl cache replaced.
Took a bit to find, hands very dirty from digging about. Leaved it where it lay. Pika 20/8/23
In Ballarat, catching up with Happy pants and Omegaman1971 for a few days. Our main focus will be the Geo tour, but will take the opportunity to grab any other caches along the way.
Plenty of laughs and fun were had and some great hides were found.
This was one of the hides.
Thanks for placing this hide and doing the maintenance, so we can make this find.

**Found whilst out and about for the day** The thing I love about caching is the interesting stories, the extra interest and attention you take when traveling, the sight-seeing, the history, the interests of the individual COs, *the fantastic photo opportunities* and sometimes finding places that even some locals dont know about. I, like most cachers, look for more that a mint tin or a container under a bush. I appreciate the time that most COs take to construct a cache and write up a comprehensive listing and to create an interesting cache. **I love traveling this big land of ours.** I love taking the roads less traveled. I love the diversity of the land, the different scenes in the different seasons, the fresh air, the open plains, the lofty vistas and the magnificent waters. I even enjoy the longer scenic walks although I'm not as young and as fit as I used to be. I love the different coffee shops I find. I enjoy the times I cache with others but I usually cache on my own. Power trails just aren't as much fun by yourself. The weather was glorious, the vistas stunning the tracks were dry and quiet and the geotrails were well defined. Thank you jiwilly for highlighting this area and for providing this game piece for our enjoyment. Appreciate your efforts. - P*Took*: Nothing*Left*: Nothing**Warning**, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to learning new things and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Cache on! **#18786**(Apologies for the late log)
After collecting the info, and doing the sums, the check sum didn't work
After find an error, than other error, we had a good ground zero.
Out caching with D@Geo

On a caching long week end with gwd.aussie.
Popped up from Geelong to attend an event and CITO stayed to grab some caches. With the Begonia festival in full swing a few caches we had to abandoned or come back to but thankfully after gathering the required information and crunching the numbers we were able to claim the smiley. I should admit our first set if coordinates did not match the check sum so we rechecked our information found our mistake (doh).
Thanks jiwilly

Found with JJ52 and Michells&hound on our Ballarat Geo Tour trip. We left Adelaide early Friday morning and travelled home Sunday. We found all the Ballarat Geo Tour caches over the weekend aswell as a few others along the way. We even attended a event in Sebastopol on Sunday before we headed home.We did a few Adventure Labs to when we were close. Yep we found it right where it should be. The grandstand is magnificent the time that has gone into that would have cost a fortune. Fav from me, thanks jiwilly for bringing us here.
Came for a weekend of caching in Ballarat with JJ52 and Allisterw primarily for the Geotour but naturally added in others that took our fancy.
We stayed in a cool airBNB and enjoyed some nice pub dinners. The tour was great and we had a great time in Ballarat as the tour really did show us the local area.
This was day 2 and we tried to make a good dent on the tour today and also added in some other fun hides.
Trying to get as many multis as we can so it was nice to pick this one up. Made the crew walk to this one rather than drive around . TFTC

On a road trip with Michells&hound and allister w over to Ballarat to complete the GeoTour as well as other highly favourited caches and odd ones we were going past. We had a great weekend with four seasons of weather over the three days and even managed to attend an event in Sebastopol before heading home. Saw lots of the countryside and very interesting places in and around Ballarat. [^]
We saw the previous DNF's but we had a bit of intel regarding the hide and we found the cache right where we thought it would be.
Thanks for the cache jiwilly.

We felt like right spot going by everyones comments and even after much leaf induced hayfever could not find
Nope lots of leaves at GZ but couldn't locate the cache, maybe my calculations were wrong.
We decided to grab this one in between our tour visits. A nice day for the short walk and the information was easy to grab! It was a semi quick find once we reach GZ with a small search.

quick solve and then a quick find.Another multi closer to 1000, currently 905
Found with mogni, we are supposed to be targeting the nearby geo tour caches but seem to get side tracked on the way. this was one of the many caches that side tracked us. quick find
Left with Mogni the day before Christmas to go down to Mount Gambier for Christmas Day. Then on the 27th left for Victoria. Plan A was to go to the Ottway Rangers, complete the Geo tour in Ballarat and then head to Geelong and take the Queenscliff ferry over to Sorrento then grabbing new LGA's on route to almost the New South Wales/Victoria border and the old 2001 cache near there. Also attending a community day event, a CITO and a couple of other events as well. Then head in to the high country and come back to SA in 11 days. Things didn't go to plan. Turns out that one of my almost new tyres was defective ( side wall blown out ) and blew in the ottway ranges on a narrow road in the rainforest, Drove to Melton to stay overnight and get a new tyre there, tyre machine broken and the other 5 tyre companies not open so off to geelong for a new tyre ( and some caches on the way and in geelong ) . The event we where going to attend in geelong didn't turn out, he was late by ALOT to his own event. Then to ballarat to same day since we had a b&b booked for the next few nights. Planned on getting the ferry at 1200 and ended up on the 400 pm ferry but we did attend a event and CITO in geelong. Then we drive into the rear end of a thunder storm with forecast 20 mm dropping for the next few days. Cancel the high country and change targets to letterbox D/T for fizzy grid only using letterboxes and same wirh the multi fizzy grid plus fizzy grid only using victorian caches plus any challenge caches we where near. Plus getting a few more victorian 2001 caches. And finally any caches that had 40 more more favourite points. Only got soaked to the bone for a couple of days but the water on the tracks was noticeable. On the return home tried to get the rest of the missing LGA's around the Melbourne CBD i missed in the last mega. Still a fun trip was had if not the planned one.

Out on a Christmas break with sir_spectre, exploring southern Victoria grabbing lots of smilies, finding caches in LGA's and of course signing a few more challenges.

Ballarat and Rutherglen Christmas 2022 Trip. Day 2. After a long day driving yesterday today we were all keen to get on and do as many of the Ballarat Geo Tour caches as possible. The group that joined up for the days journey was Sol de Lune, Fitzy_1965, Smitten Granny, Kitty Katch, Joolay and albida33. We signed each log as BCI22 for Ballarat Christmas Invasion and we enjoyed the challenge of the days caching. There were some very interesting location to visit, some were over run with holiday makers, most areas we were alone to enjoy the location. We managed to locate a foe other caches as we went. The day ended with an event where we were able to meet up with locals and fellow travelers alike.
As we were passing the locations for this one, we had to stop in for this find in between tour caches.
Thanks for the cache jiwilly

With a main aim of the Ballarat GeoTour, the Rutherglen Easter Series, Brolga Bill's Bike Trail (BBBT), and Brolga Bill's Puzzles (BBP), a group of us headed down from Canberra/Goulburn. Today's main aim was the GeoTour. What a great day it was driving around Ballarat. A Beautiful City. This cache took us to many wonderful locations. Quick find once at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, them continued on to the next cache on our list.
Thanks jiwilly !!

Today I am travelling with Sol de Lune, Fitzy_1965, Albida33, Joolay and Kittykatch. We are signing as Ballarat Christmas Invasion as we target the Ballarat Geotour and any others that show up nearby.
It is a beautiful day but promises to get quite hot later. All caches attempted have been found and signed BCI, unless of course it shows up as a DNF. It has certainly shown me that I need to come back to Ballarat to explore and enjoy the wonderful architecture and history of this city.
Thanks to everyone involved in placing this tour.

Now living in Ballarat after moving from Canberra, and over the holiday period a few mates from Canberra came down so we could hit up the BallaratGeoTour.
We found various non GeoTour caches as well during the day (mostly multi's as we enjoy them) and this was another one. No issues at GZ and the log was son being signed.

After a wonderful few days at Whittlesea GLISS! and I decided we had time to swing out here and finish off the Ballarat GeoTour and anything else we could get our hands on. Lots of fun checking out the great caches in the area, solving multis and collecting the many AL's. Thanks for another great caching adventure!
Quickly found after rummaging around the leaf litter. I do love a quick multi. TFTC.
Whittlesea Mega Wobble and Wade Tour: Day 3: More Ballarat Geotour then off to Geelong.
Once again myself and Anymules were in Victoria on our way to a Mega event. Having spent all day yesterday juggling GPS and phone to try and do caches and labs simultaneously we fell well short of finishing the tour. So it was well into the afternoon before we left for Geelong. Once in Geelong it was a time to walk to get some caching down there too. Many caches were found and unless something stood out these will be generic logs.
This should have been hard as my calculated coords were parked on when we made our way to GZ. So I thought like a hider and said, I would put it THERE. Removed some leaf litter, saw something odd, removed that and there was the container. SNEAKY
20178***Thanks jiwilly for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***
Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

I found your D1.5/T1.5 Small Multi-Cache called William Cross Yuille at 12:51 on 16 November 2022. It was find #16021 for me. Thank you jiwilly for placing this cache for our enjoyment in the wonderful state of Victoria.

Absolutely icy day, almost froze my fingers off solving the coords! Thanks for bringing us here, GeoMum says she's driven past here beyond a thousand times but has never even seen this statue.
As for the cache: second time trying to find (which meant second time getting coords as I forgot where I put the note). First time had a lot of muggles and I had to dodge footballs kicked astray. This time was a success! So well hidden, just proves my geosenses are sharpening.

Today I headed to Ballarat for a couple of events, stopping first in Bacchus Marsh for some AdLabs, then some caching later with Alansee. This was our last cache of the day.

Heading towards "Another Ballarat Community Celebration Event" this is one of the slight detours we couldn't resist along the way. We actually collected the info for this one last weekend, luckily all the muggles were concentrating on the footy, so we were easily able to log in.
Thanks to jiwilly for adding interesting caches to the geo-gameboard.

Had four goes at this one before I got it. The first two times it was missing, the third there was plenty of people around GZ, and the fourth it was clear! Found with Muzza.
I got the coordinates for this multi a couple of years ago but we couldn’t get into the sports ground that afternoon as there was football on there. Today I needed a multi to fill in a gap in my calendar I’m working on and didn’t have much time on our way to St Arnaud for Easter. We entered the wrong gate, but found our way to GZ being able to park within 10 metres. The coordinates were pretty good at leading us to the cache, despite the tree cover. The_Evil_Muggle spotted the cache as we approached and a quick find was made. I like it when everything falls into place like that! What an amazing grandstand!
Found with Roostaman on our Feb/March Vic trip down South.
Another fun caching trip and lots of smilies too. .

Some good friends had decided to head to Ballarat for a few weeks so I decided I needed a break and joined them, we had a great time out caching as well as sharing stories and laughs around a meal or two. I really love the area of Ballarat there is so much history and I am sure it has the largest population of Oak trees in the Country.
This is one of the caches found today.
Some caches logged as RASP rebel acts &Ski pair.

With work encouraging us to take some holidays and Mr SKI having quite a few weeks up his sleeve it was time to take another short break and do some sightseeing and caching in parts of Victoria we seldom visit.
This time we decided it would be Ballarat. There is a wide variety of cache types and quite a number of Adventure Labs to do, so the area is quite attractive. And that doesn't include the historical and interest aspects as well.
We organized to meet up with some friends while there so we would have the opportunity to do some joint as well as solo caching.
We have already had some great adventures on a few challenging caches that generated a lot of fun and as usual always good to find some pre-solved puzzles.
All logs signed as SKI Pair, RASP (Rebel Acts & SKI Pair or SP depending on size of logs and availability of space.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache jiwilly.

Plenty of walkers on the path around the lake on a sunny morning. We collected the answers and checked the checksum - all good. At GZ a few vehicles were parked - at least they were facing away from where we would be searching. Cache found after a few minutes when the GPSr settled down. Thanks to jiwilly for the cache.
Last time we visited Ballarat we were unable to locate this one. Thanks jiwilly for replacing it.
Today with dalerious and Catnap777, en route to the event at Buninyong, this time I was the lucky finder.

Found it this time.
Knowing a wayward one was recently replaced, Cybergran V, catnap777 and I had a lot more luck finding the new container this time.
And it was CV that earned the vindication first while facing away from the action that kept all the muggles' attention.
Thanks jiwilly for a great little multi and a better insight into one who helped "make" this amazing city. [^]
Our appologies for not posting a DNF last time we were here, but we were time poor and had assumed a rushed error on our own part.

Found with dalerious and Cybergran V on a weekend visit to Ballarat to attend the Geotour event in Buninyong.
We had searched for this one last time we were here, but forgot to place a dnf on it as we did not find it. No problems here today as Cybergran V caught sight of it first.
Thank you to Shumba7 who alerted the CO of the suspected missing container.
Thanks for the cache jiwilly .

This took a minute or two to locate but locate it we did. There was a game going on on the nearby field but no muggles near where we needed to be. Thanks for the cache.
A lovely day for a day trip to Ballarat with RoamingHowie, Papi4506 & Geoturtle37.
Gathered the information at the posted coords and made our way to gz, where a game was in play keeping everyone busy watching, too busy to be concerned with what we were up to.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, jiwilly

TFTC, solved this while ago. Collected today with Algae on the way get fish and chips for dinner. Quick easy find, and not the first to find by Algae
Have replaced cache - appears our ever efficient council may have scooped it up whilst cleaning leaves. Added a few small swaps. Please BYO pen.
We have been advised this cache has gone walkabouts - will inspect and being new cache by within the week.
No container any where here. Searched and searched under leaves etc I reckon it’s missing.
We are back in Ballarat for a visit to the doctor so of course we decided to do some caches while we were at it. It was not until we arrived at GZ that we realised that we had found this one sometime in the past. It could possibility have been in March 2021 or November 2020.

Worked this out walking around the lake last night, then promptly forgot. Tonight we looked again and realised what we’d forgotten. Lockbrain down for the win
Thanks to the lovely CO for some help. Great bit of information about the town’s founder, and a brief walk to the GZ. There was plenty of leaves in the area, and a few muggles, and. I don’t think these will be uncommon. TFTC
A day out with my old geocaching buddies kenare and kenbryl. Big day in Ballarat for heritage week. After attending some events we decided to do some locals. Got the numbers and headed here. Don’t know if we took too long or old mate was singing in the mosh pit but he was let’s say HARD tftc rip old mate
Poor Jenno3 was upset about old mate hanging out with his fly tribe here. She was a bit distracted and forgot about finding the cache. Luckily we found it in the end! Tftc
Spiffy- had some time off work and decided to head to Ballarat for 3 nights. He made me sufficiently jealous so I had to join him for 1 day of caching and took the train up and back to hang with him.
Clues gathered then the dash over to GZ. Thought it was something else on arrival then refocused and spottes it.
Thanks to jiwilly for the placement and fun.

With some forced annual leave from work to keep our outstanding leave days low I ended up extending the Easter break and coming to stay in the Ballarat area for a few days mainly to complete the Geo Tour since I missed doing the last one at Lake Eildon. I also had some solved puzzles, and plenty of adventure labs for times when it was raining. I also targeted a couple of virtuals and some whereIGo's as well. Even my buddy Fleabag- popped up for a visit one of the days. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable few days and managed to complete almost everything I wanted to.
This third day Fleabag- arrived because he was missing out on all the finds so he had to come up here. It was good to have him here so I could send him into the dangerous blackberries, water, spiky bushes, etc first.
After being out and about collecting puzzles we came back to town and went on a tour around the lake on the electric scooters instead of driving. It was really nice.
This was our 1st one on the tour which immediately took us away from the lake. Not to worry, all good in the end and back on track.
Thanks jiwilly for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Spending the weekend around Ballarat finding some excellent caches.
This cache was another enjoyable cache that we were happy to add to our find list.
Thank you for highlighting this area and history with your cache.

Today we headed to Ballarat with the main focus on completing the new Geotour. It was mission accomplished - over 40 caches found, many different types covered, no DNFs, and even a surprise FTF. A day full of smilies in many ways.
After lunch we took a walk around Lake Wendouree to find this one and others on our target list.
Imagine - Ballarat could have been called Yuille instead! Somehow Lake Wendouree has a better ring to it than Yuille’s Swamp .
It was a short walk to a fortunately deserted GZ where the cache was quickly found.
Thanks, jiwilly.

Great little multi here, thanks for the history. New spot to visit at GZ. Hard to imagine this place as described!
Nice multi.
Took a few goes to get a chance to visit GZ as each time we thought about it the area close to GZ was packed with people.
Today was quiet and the find was quick and easy.
Thanks for the hide.

Got the necessary information, sorted the numbers and thumbs up the co ords were right. We ventured to GZ and there we located the cache. Very happy to have this one ticked off the ‘to do ‘ list. Thanks jiwilly
Already in Ballarat for the geo tour launch event, so spent my time before the event collecting some solved puzzles and riding the deadly treadly around town doing a few odd caches on the way.
After the event I was joined by half of Chook'n'Chunk and we continued collecting, but some Geo Tour caches entered the mix.
After dinner we joined with Wassel68, Mica, and GoodLook for a few at night, taking in the sights and sounds of Ballarat after dark.
Chook had an interesting story about Williams that she regaled me with while we did this multi.
Great grandstand near GZ.
Thanks, Robmc.

Today was the strangest day of caching for a while the meant we covered the same ground or should I say roads three times. Once because we didn't check the Lab cache app while doing normal caches and then to do the Labs and finally looking for my glasses which I lost along the way. So many extra Kilometers that could have been avoided.
While heading to Ballarat AusFox; had his on on some unloved we started a multi that turned into a second multi when we were at one of the stages. This has us finally here at GZ for the quick find and a bit of bonus unloved for AusFox;
Thank you jiwilly for the multi

With an fun early morning bush walk SimsFamily, Neville Devil and I continued our day around Ballarat for a day which will be know as “Ground Hog day” for recurring locations.
The weather was perfect to visit so many interesting locations in Ballarat.
As we were heading towards our first stop we made a detour to gather the interesting information and on the GZ to make a quick find.
