Didn't manage to spot anything here, but the gps was jumping around all over the place
Rattll and I are in Tauranga on a fine Saturday morning. Unfortunately, we could find no sign of devices or gizmos here, let alone a cache. After searching for around quarter of an hour, decided to give it away.
I don't know if this is it we found it floating. Can someone tell us other this is it or not
Mission Accomplished! "**Another hidden gem found! Thanks for the adventure and the awesome hide. Logging this find and moving on to the next. Needs new log though
Out with Kiwi Does stuff and in the area, made our way to the cache and pondered for a bit till something caught our eye, nice hide! TFTC
Driving past so decided to stop in and find this one. Nicely made to fit the environment
Thanks for the fun find. Stella and I wandered round for a while until Stella finally yelled found it!!
Visiting family nearby and such a nice walkway for a walk with the grandies. clever hide...took us awhile (ages ) and nearly gave up then i spotted something...could it be..YES. Great fun. Fav point from me. Thanks for the hide.
Thanks Sabas for the cache. It’s #1719 for us. We found your cache on 2 June 2023.
What a mission! I have looked for this lonely cache on a number of occasions as I walk my dog right past almost every day. I calculate I’ve invested a couple of hours in the past 18 months since I moved to Tauranga looking for this cache! Finally a very old comment in the logs got me thinking I was looking for the wrong type of hide. GZ is spot on and once I focussed on looking for the right type of hide I had cache in hand quickly today. It’s a woohoo from me and a pesky (albeit unrecorded) DNF avenged at last. Favourite Point from me for making me work so hard

A bit more time on our hands today to come out and grab some caches. Love the pines here, although boy did the nearby pond stink! Spent ages searching high and low for this one. Eventually honed it in to one area, and with the help of a previous finder who suddenly had an ah ha moment, cache was in hand. Tftc
Our second DNF in a row. Hope it's still here but no luck for us.
We'll be back.
We'll be back.
Had to admit defeat on this after a lengthy search with the kids in tow. Soooo many possibilities for micro and didn’t see anything that looked out of place. What I would have given for a hint on this one…
So sorry I couldn't find this today....will be back.
Sounds amazing.
A family nearby having professional photos taken....so I felt dodgy...

Great walk around the reserve. Daughter and I were looking around for a wee while until it was spotted. Great hide and thanks for the only cache I managed to find in the reserve today
Very cool cache. I’ve never been down this part of the walkway. The pines are really lovely.
Nice walk through here, had only been at the start track before. Ducked off easily and had a rough idea what I might be looking for. As I was about to leave a couple were having a screaming match on the main track, so decided to stay hidden away until they'd passed. Moved on quickly as I was worried school kids would flood the area soon.
GPS doesn't like it in here. So it took perseverance. I was looking at it all wrong to begin with but then I spotted something worth investigating & there it was. TFTC

I love this area for a stroll, I remember finding a cache not far from here a year or 2 back, an awesome spot.
A few people out and about enjoying the new year weather.
Quick find after a brief search, nicely out of the way of the main thorofare of walkers and bikers

This place is amazing! The walk through the pines was so picturesque, and Mr Taylana was tempted to just lie down, stare up at the trees, and listen to the wind...but there was a cache to be found! GOS struggled a bit because of the tree cover, but after some searching, Mrs Taylana spotted something that was just a little out of place, and all of a sudden, the cache was in hand! TFTC
In Tauranga for afternoon with a couple of the kids decided to grab a few puzzle solves while we were here. Quick find here today.

Parent interviews for the kids today so thought it would be the perfect opportunity to get some caching done!
Hadn’t been in the area since Xmas so was nice to see how the season changed the scenery. Was stunning spring weather!!
Good little find especially having two fail to find’s in the area.
Thank you

This was my second find with my daughter we atrted at the wrong end of the track but eventually found it super great hiding spot
Taking the opporunity on QB W/end to get out and about on our bikes in our local back yard. It was Sunday, everything looking peaceful as we went ahead with our caching, grateful to be able enjoy our sport again. Not such an easy find here, but a delightful one and we can report that the cache is all good. Earns a fave from us. TFTC
Well this definitely made us sharpen up our geocaching skills after such a long time off being locked down at home. Perseverance paid off and being determined to find it we finally came up with the goods. Thanks for the challenging hide.
Off for a ride to Omokoroa and back today. Thought I'd start at 17th and grab this on the way.
A nicely constructed cache, but clearly the engineer forgot about the coefficient of wood swell when wet, as the container was really difficult to extract.
A nicely tucked away cache in a nice area.

This area is always a pleasure to visit - came out on our bikes today - loved the camo, well done!
Found it! GPS wasn’t playing ball so I had to widen my search and boom there it was. Good hunt and awesome container. Thanks!
Late to log this. Had a good look around in early October. Will be back for another look at some stage.
Cool cache. The gps kept jumping around a bit but I soon spotted a likely candidate and there was the cache. Cool camo. Tftc.
Visiting Tauranga for the weekend and collecting some caches. Enjoyed a walk through the park. Great little hide which deserves a favourite. Well done. TFTC
I think this is the third time I've searched for a cache down here. Happy this one didn't take quite as long as some of the previous hides. I enjoyed the craft that went into this container, well done. Cheers Sabas, TFTC

Arrived near GZ to see a familiar car parked nearby. Fellow cachers from Huntly just in front of us so this made cache find a little easier. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Today was supposed to be an assault on Tauranga caches and an early start. But family and bad weather put the kibosh on that plan. Instead, we began at a more leisurely pace.
We met our Huntly friends and proceeded to pick up a couple of caches together. This hide was of interest to us as it is a recent placement. There have been a few creative placements in the vicinity and this one is in good company. Thanks Sabas and TFTC.

We needed a couple more caches to reach a particular target and as this was only a slight detour on our way home we popped in for a visit. Eagle eyed ROS soon spotted the well camoed hide TFTC.
On my way passed, just had to come and explore. I remember the last one up this track. My GPS wasnt playing ball today and kept bouncing all over the place. I extended my search and eventually spotted somethng out of place, approx 6mtrs away. Nicely engineered, not that Ive heard of many of these books. Thanks for the placement, cheers a fp for your efforts.
On the way home after a few days in Australia wanted to get another cache today and this one close to home just did the trick. I know this area well and it is a great walking, riding or whatever area. Yes there have been a few caches in this spot but hopefully no more tree felling. This is a well done cache and suits the spot TFTC
I have enjoyed a few cleverly engineered caches in this area, but unfortunately they don't seem to last. Headed this way to enjoy another clever bit of engineering. Thanks for the cache Sabas.
After failing to find it this morning we went back for a second attempt this afternoon. 30 seconds at GZ and the cache was in hand. What were we doing the first time to miss this? Great camo.
Just walked in the door after a hard day at the salt mine...noticed a new cache had been launched...I thought this would a good chance for an FTF ...and some leisure therapy so off I head ..at GZ all is quiet ..the GPS say woaha and there it is ...unbelievable some one who should be working beat me by less the 2 minutes...signed and replaced the nicely crafted cache as found....this wood has had many a cache but they don't seem to stand the test of time ...thanks great we cache
Sitting in the New World car park waiting for MRStryfyn to grab some bread and milk when this popped up. Mmmm...not too far away. MRStryfyn returned to be told we were caching. She elected to stay in the car. No-one at GZ. Good. The search took far longer than it should have as my GPS had me about 6m away. Extended the search and spotted something suspicious... and it moved. Clever camouflage and...best of all, a clean log. [FTF] 5.15pm. TFTC.
