Once again, as it is every couple of weeks, I find myself spending the weekend in Wanganui (from Wellington), and after my real life responsibilities had been dealt with for the day I headed over to Feilding as the nearest location of geocaches I have not yet found. I had no set plan for the day other than driving around (somewhat in concentric circles) finding geocaches, and this was one of them.

No problems here as the cache was found, safe and well, exactly as described.

Thanks to emmacbl for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.

[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

08-May-22
Quick find. Looked down !! TFTC

08-May-22
Walked down the road in the Autumnal sunshine and soon arrived at GZ. A quick search then fished up the container for signing duties. Released back into the wild as was a little undersized.

Onto the second part of my day and a catch up with Tommygun9 for some finds together. Just the 5 but a tricky field puzzle completed, as well as another Multi for the day, that's quite a few today.
After a relative famine of caches for me recently due to a number of factors I planned to head to Feilding and catch up with tommygun9 for a few mutual search targets, I was in two minds of what to get up to prior though, I was keen for some fishing to maintain a recent trout-less sequence (it continued!) and settled on another trip up the beautiful Pohangina Valley, it sure does turn on the style come Autumn. I've managed to track down some/most of the Wildbore Multi finals too and was keen to cache in those numbers.
A modest haul of 11 caches up the valley and 5 more in Feilding later in the day and a good day to be out and about. Then bumped into Edvern out at the wetlands entrance and a nice catch up with her and her husband. Thanks to all COs for their hides today.

08-May-22
A short walk down to this cache for a nice easy find at the most likely location.
T F T C emmacbl.

A break from studying for tomorrow's exam was needed and capperz had suggested a short caching mission. I checked for and local clusters of mutually unfound caches and spotted a couple in this corner of Feilding. It was an enjoyable little outing before heading back for more study (I passed if you're reading this and wondering).

17-Apr-22
Easter Monday, and that dreaded back to work tomorrow feeling starts to kick in. But luckily for me I have a fantastic cure for the return-to-work blues, geocaching Smile
But where to go? Ahhh, how about having a crack at avenging a couple of previous DNF's?

And with that in mind, I set off this morning to head to Feilding. It was a beautiful day so the drive up was pleasant and before I knew it I had reversed my fortune with the two pesky blue frowns and was looking at what other caches I might look for.

This was clearly one of those, and was a quick find at GZ. Encountering no issues at all, the log soon had my name in it before the whole lot was replaced as found.

Thanks for setting up this cache.

#9082. I decided today to visit the Manawatu to pick up some geocaches. Managed to get 40 done before heading back home to Wellington. My main target was a bunch of Shield series puzzle finals but I decided to grab a couple of the new geotour caches along the way. Heading north through Feilding now. Parked nearby and wandered over to the reserve and had the cache in hand immediately. It was still fairly visible though others have tried to camo it a bit more with small stones. Signed the logbook and replaced everything as found. Thanks emmacbl for hiding the cache here and congratulations on your first cache hide.

29-Jan-21
The cache was quite exposed, so I tried to hide it a bit better. TFTC.

23-Jan-21
This find was a lot easier than I expected as the cache was quite visible from a distance. I tried to cover it up a bit better but this is probably not a lasting solution. Thanks for providing the excuse to visit this lovely area.

I pulled up and waited for some muggles to pass by - I didn't mind as it gave me more time with the lovely air conditioning in the car Big Grin. Once the coast was clear I made short work of the cache hide.

TFTC Smile

03-Jan-21
I hatched a plan to get 2021 caches by the end of 2021. This did not go quite to plan but managed to get out and about on the 3 day of 2021 to grab some caches around Feilding, then toward Awahuri then Bulls on the way home.

Saw this cache as I approached as it was not covered, log signed and left with some leaf litter on it to conceal it some.

Thanks for the placement emmacbl.
