A long planned trip away finally came to fruition as we headed off to Geelong after a gap of some years to catch up with caching friends. There is always a good variety of caches and hides to search for and Geelong itself is a pretty spot with lots of places to explore. Plenty of history and lovely scenery with the bay, riverside, open paddocks and bushland. We particularly enjoyed the many trails and riverside paths where Mrs SKI could give her new ebike a workoutA great time was had with lots of laughs and ribbing as we searched for the various caches and wondered what we might find next. We also had the chance to catch up with some great local cachers on a lovely evening out.Logs signed as SKI Pair, SP or RASP.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Alansee.**SKI Pair****
Found on a typical Summer day with Roostaman and friends, on a a short trip to Vic. . Lots of travelling and caches as well. Thanks for the cache Alansee, ***MrsRoosta***

Found on a short Vic trip with MrsRoosta and friends. We had an excellent adventure around the Geelong area. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cachefor all of us to find, Alansee, ***Roostaman***
What a fantastic day of geocaching around Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula! The weather was perfect, and the landscapes were stunning. Our group ventured through a mix of urban areas, lush parks, and coastal paths in search of hidden caches. The camaraderie among our caching crew made the day even more enjoyable, with plenty of laughs and shared triumphs as we uncovered each cache. As the sun began to set, we gathered to celebrate our successes and swap stories from the day's adventures.Geocaching around Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula was truly a memorable experience, and we can't wait to return for more caching adventures in the future! This is one of the caches found today. Thanks Alansee for the cache.
What a cache! This is by far the longest cache weve ever seen with great space for swag and trackable. Thank you . Very pleasant scenery nearby as well.
Out for a day of caching by myself today out of the 13 I was chasing I found 9, 3 DNFs and one note as I wasn't going to get my feet wet. Picked the right one first shot. Great little cache.
Out today after I was told about this one. We all looked a brothers gf found it first go. TFTC
Got here only to find the cache safely tucked away in it's hidey-hole. And despite telling people where to look! You have to look just that bit harder.
Found the top that come off but it was left off and no cache left inside
Out and about down to Portarlington today for a maintenance mission. Of course we took the opportunity to do some finding while we were out and about. After clearing out most of Portarlington we headed off in this direction in search of some power trail action and stopped here en route. A quick find here as our own first hide uses the same approach. Nicely done, TFTC.
Jinky and John decided to wander east and have a coffee and pastry at Ket Baker's bakery. Having done that, what should be next? Caching!! We had a fair idea what to expect, as one of our Miller Homes caches has a very similar setup. The cache gets a 5/5, we only got a 4/5! Many thanks for this fun cache.
Today is definitely the day after, the day after the Inaugural Great Cache Crawl. We are pleased to be able to say that we made it from beginning to end and had an awesome time.
Today is a bit of a slower pace.
We arrived here to find a guy had just pulled up in his ute, waiting for his dog to race up the road to him. Once the dog arrived, they were on their way. The cache was found it the first place that was searched but as a little cajoling was needed ,we did look elsewhere as well. Thanks for the cache.

After a huge inaugural Great Victorian Cache Crawl yesterday with well over 100 cachers joining the crawl throughout the day, it was time for a more leisurely caching journey today on the way back to Melbourne.
This one took a little coaxing but we eventually found the never ending cache.
Thanks Alansee for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

So after years... no, months.. no, weeks... well a couple of weeks planning, it's finally the day.
Not sure where this hair-brained idea came from, but stoked RoamingHowie managed to pull it all together.
The inaugural Great Victorian Cache Crawl 2022. Beginning with Saturday's event at 7am in Phillip Island, we'll be travelling via Lang Lang, Cranbourne East, Devilbend Reservoir, Mount Waverley, Altona Meadows and Lara before finishing for dinner in Queenscliff.
Day Three: The Recovery.
Needed a bit of persuasion but got there in the end.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Alansee

Spot on the first time. Thanks for your description that made for an entertaining read.
Thanks Alansee for the cache too even if I did have to stretch for it.

Found on Boxing Day. It was a fun drive going 100km/h through the Bellarine Peninsula listening to music en route to this cache. I managed to park right up next to GZ where I soon understood the name of the cache. A fun find. TFTC!
Partner found it before me… that’s why he’s handy to bring along!

Two years after placing the cache I can reveal the following -
9 finders found it in the first place they looked,
2 found it in the second
2 found it in the third
0 found it in the fourth
8 found it in the fifth
and 35 didn't say.
Which I think goes to show how unreliable statistics are!

First try and boom!! Thanks for this cache very cold and foggy morning so noone to be seen picked up a TB to rehome too
One in 5 it could be, but all were stuck! A bit if wood helped with that. Haven't been down this road before, never really had a need. The cache itself was a delight, thanks for the effort put into this.
Our son had already found this with a friend, so gave it away for us. But it was very exciting to find and so impressive.
On our way back from tackling a few around St. Leonards and this one beckoned our party of five. A feature of this area is the lack of features and so it promised either a boring long search, or, if thinking was inspired, a seemingly quick hunt. Without saying which was needed, we were successful and acknowledged, and appreciated, yet another cache from this owner.
After using the scientific 'eenie meenie minie mo' selection technique, this still ended up being in the fifth location I searched.
Thanks for the longest cache I have seen!

Set of for the arvo to find some caches while the rest of our family and friends were busy at home
Had a young fellow with me and he loved the size of this one, took me a bit to get it but I was confident I had it right

First time I’ve been up this way for ages so stopped of here to make this interesting find. along this quiet road TFTC Alansee
A quiet little side road and 5 choices. How hard can that be? Not hard at all as it turned out but the cap needed a good prod though. I have recently put out a cache like this in Gisborne.
Nice job here
Cheers

One in five was a great title allowing for an easy find. We must say we were impressed with the hide as we pulled it out and out and out , very unexpected.
A favourite point added.
Thanks Alansee for the good size placement here.

Find #2335 for me. Found at 12:40 pm while visiting the area from Bendigo. I was with my aging mum and two kids on our way to Portarlington (from Point Lonsdale) for lunch. The others weren't interested in treasure-hunting today but I was allowed to have this single stop along the way. After reading several logs before leaving Point Lonsdale I knew which one to go to and sure enough, with a little coaxing the top was removed to reveal the prize. And what a beauty! I've found many caches over the years, and many similar to this one regarding the type of hide, but, I admit that this one was the first that I've found like this regarding its size. I definitely loved it! Thanks for the great cache Alansee!
It was number 5 for me. I didn't quite understand the size of the cache when reading the cache notes but then the cache just kept on coming. Certainly the largest of this type of hide I've seen. Thanks for the cache.
This morning was a nice cool Boxing Day morning on the bellarine. Today is the start of the holiday crew heading down from Melbourne for the Christmas holidays. Tftc
We read through the cache notes with Pacman on the way and decided to make a determination when we arrived at GZ. Would have to say the force was with us today and we got it in one. A fun experiment Alansee and nice to see something different to a micro in one of these. TFTC
Met up with an Easter Bunny today to tour a little of our own Bellarine Peninsula. The expected 37 degree temperature wasn't going to deter us. We were ready for kayaking, swimming, tree climbs, walks... and even donuts!
*"I am the one in ten, even though I don't exist"* sang UB40 back in 1981.
The odds here seemed better, and the topic much more entertaining - 1 in 5, and the cache does exist.
Reading the cache page had us second guessing ourselves. "That will be assumed... so then it will be changed... but it will be assumed you will assume that... so that will be changed..."
As it turns out EB1 guessed right on his first go, and I was on the one right next to it. I reckon he should buy a lottery ticket!
Thanks Alansee.

Once at GZ we had a good old belly laugh with this cache, quite innovative. The cache is in good condition. SL TFTC
Very appropriate name for this cache and I’m glad I picked the right 1 in 5 to start with!

Out and about with my caching buddy suscoe down on the Bellarine to change a few caches to smilies and this was on the list to hopefully find and find we did.
Well I tried all but to no joy so on a closer inspection something was not quite right but none of them would budge so spying a tool closeby it did the trick.
I would have to admit to it being the fifth try that I found it.
On the retrieval it reminded me of my Mum and Eclipse cache but I think mine is a little longer.
All that aside another well thought out hide from one of our newer members who has decided to shift to out area.

After working through the night I found myself in the early hours of Sunday morning in the Drysdale/ Clifton Springs area and thought I would grab my cache for the day while I was somewhere that I had some unfound caches. A quick check of the map found this regular sized cache and I thought I would be able to make a quick find before I headed home for some much needed sleep.
Understanding the name my first guess was where the cache was hiding and I was surprised on the size of container when I pulled it out of its hiding place.
Thank you Alansee for hiding this for our pleasure.

A fun detour on the way to work from Portarlington - a larger than expected container too! tftc
