I was concerned with the D rating on this cache, but thankfully I was able to spy the little blighter quickly. Lucky me! Cheers GazaCasa!Today is day four of our Hervey Bay holiday. Today I jumped in the warthog and headed to the South-eastern corner of Hervey Bay. Stopping in Wondunna, Booral, Pir'ri reserve and River Heads. After fossicking around the mangroves I headed back north and stopped for a few more on the way home to go fishing. A great, but very warm day out!Heading north on a 5-day trip to Hervey Bay with the family has allowed me to go out and cache the surrounding area. I was able to cram the tredley into the back of the warthog and travel north, stopping a few times. Once to maintain a cache, and another to find a cache. I finally set sights on my destination, Torquay. Over the course of the few days I had, I cycled the new rail trail series of geocaches, did a combined day of shelling and caching Point Vernon, took a drive through Booral and River Heads, travelled to Howard, Torbanlea, Toogoom and Dundowran. On the final day I spot cached as I made my way south, stopping in Walligan, Susan River, Beaver Rock and Owanyilla. I then fought the southbound traffic for a while, then detoured via Yengarie and through Tiaro back to the sunny coast. All things considered, a great holiday and a productive one for geocaching! a MASSIVE thank you to all the COs that I found the caches of along the way!
While camping in the area for a few days with my geodog Scruffy , We had to get out and look for a few caches ...All Good .. TFTC ..
Failed miserably. Between my husband and I and our 5 kids not found. Im not sure the clue magnetic was overly helpful- maybe had been moved?
What a wonderful journey it has been to discover this hidden gem along the Bingham Trail! The scenic drive along the Bruce Highway and through Booral offered breathtaking views of the coastal locality within the Fraser Coast Region. Finding this geocache added an extra layer of excitement to our day. It was tucked away in a clever hiding spot, but with determination and a keen eye, we successfully located it. Remembering to bring our own pen, we signed the logbook.Thank you to the cache owner for placing this cache in such a remarkable location. It truly enhanced our experience and left us with unforgettable memories. Until next time, happy caching!
Found with Dora the Explorer! This took a little while to find but we got it eventually. Nice new log to sign. TFTC

12:28:00 PM. Better half spotted the cache and I signed the log once I found a spot. Log full. Now to find the next one. Thanks for the cache GazaCasa
After a great weekend on Kgari with Beardman75, Peppa and CaptainVimes, we are back on the mainland grabbing caches as we more or less head home.BM75 spotted it straight away, the log is full now, we just managed to squeeze our names in.Tftc GazaCasaFind #4722
Only 1 space left on log now, not easily spotted, even trickier to extract but tweezers helped!
Brought my tall husband back after his fishing outing was stopped by the strong winds. He soon spotted what I couldnt, extracting it from its hiding spot also proved a little tricky but we eventually got there TFTC

Despite a long day (and over 125 finds) yesterday, it was another early start this morning for Seffnjarah and I. We planned to loop north this morning through Hervey bay before returning to Maryborough around lunch and then heading towards Mt Walsh in the afternoon, along the way cleaning up the last few caches in the JBF series that we missed yesterday.
Some very generous DT on offer here meant a stop here on the way past was a must. Some dog walkers with the open dog cages in the back of their car were parked right at GZ and were loitering nearby. This one was quickly spotted. I left Seff to sign the log whilst I took advantage of the nearby toilet facilities (as you do when on a road trip).
Signed with our initials. Many thanks GazaCasa

When other family arrangement for the Easter break fell through, I was lucky to score a ride with Crookedpete for an extended weekend geocaching road trip from Brisbane to around Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Mt Walsh and surrounding areas.
After 12 hours of solid caching yesterday in Maryborough, we were out again at first light this morning. The main goal was to clean up the remaining few caches in one of the local power trails that we had not finalised yesterday before darkness fell. But first we were heading towards Hervey Bay to focus on some of the caches out there. Much better weather today as we worked our way through the various caches on our to-do list, including this one.
I was looking in the right place for this one but I just could not spot it from my vantage point. Crookedpete walked up from the opposite way and immediately laid his hands on it. Stood back to let some dog walkers pass as we signed the logbook with our initials.

It was so tiny! And above my eye line haha I almost couldn’t log it cause out of reach but I looked like a crazy to get it!
We are staying at Maryborough for a short time and to help fill in our days we are exploring using geocaching as our guide. We found all the caches that we had targeted for today bar 1 and even with a PAF we had no luck.
One of hte caches bought us to the home of the CO where we had a lovely chat about all things geocaching and we were also offered a hint for the cache that we had not found. All the caches were in good condition and the log books did not need any attention. A huge thank you to all the CO's for placing these caches for our enjoyment.

We are having a short stay in lovely Hervey Bay and had a great afternoon finding caches on our way in albeit we took a long way around. Most of the caches we found were placed by the same CO. This was one we found in a great park. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks GazaCasa.
Two TASSIES still in Hervey Bay. In fact we have extended our stay because we don't want to break camp in forecast wet conditions on Friday. As it turns out, things are still dry at 5pm this afternoon. BUT never mind ........ good caching conditions ! Got this litter bugger quick enough. All good here, room still available in the log. Thanks for another one GazaCasa.
How many cachers does it take to find a wee cache? Too many until the right tool is used. And we did search every nook, cranny and granny within arms length. With extendible arms, the cache was quickly found but I did get a few dirty looks from my companions when I said I was taking away their phones while I was elevated. Thanks GazaCasa for the hide.
A fun cache, thanks to Team ARF for doing the duties here. No fun about the phones though

Found while visiting friends in the Harvey Bay area for a few days. This was a quick find and the cache was OK. TFTC
My wife and I had no real plans and were just following caches out to the place where Fraser barges leave from. It’s a part of the country we hadn’t seen and I just wanted to admit that I had been there. On the way we were picking up all the caches we could. tftc
We are currently travelling along Queensland’s coast to see and snorkel with humpback whales in Hervey Bay. Of course some target caches were also on the list of must do’s along the way. It was a great pleasure getting this little cache
Heading to Hervey Bay today with Selva Girls and picked up caches along the way and this was one of them. Once at GZ the search began and we eventually managed to find the cache. Log signed and all returned as found.

On a road trip to Emerald and back to get the geoart. We spent 3 nights in Hervey Bay. Took a little while to find. Glad I had thrown in the little foldable step at the last minute when packing. Between that and a taller-than-me teenager, we had the cache in hand.
Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that i can claim the finds or not as the case may be. TFTC.
29/6/21 Staying in Harvey Bay catching up with my Parents who have travelled here for a visit. I am on holidays from Mackay. Beautiful sunny weather today. TFTC SL
Tftc GazaCasa, out for a days caching in the area.

Having spent night #2 camped at Maryborough Showgrounds (after an exhaustive day collecting the nearby powertrail caches plus a few extras) we scoffed down a quick breakfast before bidding new friends a fare thee well, with a promise to return tonight, and headed towards Hervey Bay for a little R&R ... well, a few more cache finds that is!
The weather has been amazing, all sunshine & fresh breezes ... so far ... so we thought we would tempt fate a little further.
#25 of 42 smilies today.
Eagle-eyed Mrs VC spotted this one while I played with Winter the Geo-Cat.
I did, however, have to go to her aid for the retrieval. .
A Spangled Drongo (yes that is a REAL thing ... it's a shiny black bird) watched from it's perch in a nearby tree.
Cache guardian perhaps? [?]
Made our mark & replaced as found.
Winter the Geo-Cat had a wonderful roll in the dirt then we headed off to our next target.

We thought a climb might be involved, but found it, looking for something tiny. TFTC
Thought I’d have no chance of finding this with the difficulty level but was very easy. Tftc!
We have a couple of hours to fill in before getting the ferry to Kingfisher Bay resort. What to do?? Thanks GazaCasa for the cache. Lucky I’m fairly tall!!
A return visit with a taller friend to assist with the find. Definitely a T2 here

With the weather being grey we decided to head towards Riverhead caching the Bingham Trail & some of the Route 57 and Booral trail & others inbetween. This proved a great way to visit the lcal area.
We discovered new housing estates & places with great views of the ocean.
Thanks for placing this amazing series GazaCasa

I left Bargara at 5am and arrived in Childers just on sunrise. Did some caching there and on the way down to the Route 57 Trail and the Bingham Trail. All good here. Apologies for the boiler plate logs. If there is any thing different I will add it to the appropriate log. I sort of suspected this one would not be down low so stepped up and soon had the Nano in hand. Can not be seen from the ground.
The majority of the logs were signed with my YOF to save space on the paper. Where I could write youngoldfella I did. 54 finds for the day and arrived at the Urangan Motel at 1615pm. That is enough for the day. TFTC GazaCasa

Heading to Hervey Bay for a few nights for my eldest daughters birthday. Day 1 found 2 caches, day 2 found 1 cache, day 3 found 29, day 4 found 56.
Few DNF's, and recovering from an MCL tear in my knee, there were a few I didn't even attempt, and some I shouldn't have attempted but did...and now sititng on the couch having a celebatory scotch, am certainly paying for it.
On a high after meeting the CO's at their letterbox cache, this was next on my list. I looked and I looked and I looked and then thought, surely not and there it was, sitting in it's little spot. Cache was quickly retreived and signed, replaced and onto the next one. Light was fading rapidly
Thanks for the cache **GazaCasa**
