29-Aug-22
That’s great little hiding spot. I had my hand on the first time round.

11-Aug-22
Well that was an excellent spot to hide a cache. We tried a number of alternatives systematically working our way through, then read some past logs that didn’t really help except to indicate that we may find a red herring. After we found the cache, we decided the red herring was missing as we could see where it likely was. Lovely day to explore this spot with bountiful birdlife on the water. Thanks KrispyKremers

Yep, that was a great sneaky hide. Found it after testing absolutely everything. Nice park.TFTC

A fun day out with Davidwazza! TFTC!

30-Jul-22
This morning, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I commenced the day with a walk in Keperra Bushland in order to attend the *Keperra Bushland Lookout Catch Up* morning event. Despite my many visits here previously, it was my first time following the bitumen path all the way to the top. We then detoured back home via a cafe venue for breakfast.
In the afternoon, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I then headed to Sherwood Arboretum for a walk around, since it was such a nice day. We were able to make a few quick stops in Chelmer and Graceville whilst baby napped in the backseat, and then we had a really enjoyable experience at the Arboretum walking around ponds, trees, and its riverside boardwalk.

We soon arrived and admired the water views overhanging from this platform, before we set to work to attempt to find this cache. After spending 10 minutes searching around, I resorted to a PAF to someone who many years ago had found this cache, and didn't reveal the cache, but advised the general area, but left it to me to make the find myself. So we continued the search, and we then soon encountered the tricky and well-hidden cache. As we started to sign the logbook (which was only a scrap piece of paper with a few names on it), I messaged my PAF my thanks and that we had found the cache. A quick follow-up advised that we had only found the red herring cache... really?

So the search continued, and with a little more insights and observations, we had turned up the actual cache. Wow, very tricky indeed! The cache container and logbook were in good shape. It is interesting to see that the last name in the logbook that I could see was misssusan79 and geokids as per their [18/08/2021 find log](https://coord.info/GL15DXX35). I think overall I quite enjoyed this cache and its construction, and if it wasn't for the red herring container, it would have gotten a Favourite Point. I honestly can't see the reason why this location needs a red herring, and as you can see, previous finders have confused this with the real container (with someone leaving a partial docket). I'm not sure if it may have had a note at some point revealing its decoy nature, that a past frustrated Geocacher has removed and left the scrap, but in the interim, I've removed the docket, and so if you find an empty container with a gold coin, then you've found the decoy only. Thanks KrispyKremers for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

I brought a PE class to this park to check out their new cross country running track and thought I would chance that this cache would still be here but alas, I assume that it is another victim of the floods!

03-Mar-22
Drove through just up the hill a couple of days ago and this area was under metres of muddy water. I would keep away for a while yet. It will need maintenance! Just like 1974 and 2011!

Could not find again today but will hopefully find tomorrow

Too tricky for 6 sets of eyes to find on our father's day outing. We looked in loads of likely places and poked, prodded and pushed but didn't find the goods. We spent quite a bit of time but sadly not enough for this family with cache blindness. Beautiful spot none the less, plenty of turtles. TFTH.

Tricky but perseverance found it

Thought this one might take a while, but the Geo GF had this in hand quickly. Didn't find the Red Herring unfortunately...Hahaha

Had to look a couple of times.make sure you look twice two

18-Aug-21
Geokids made the find again. I really should bring them to hard finds more often!

18-Aug-21
Found the red herring AND the real container. Geokids found both. Out with misssusan79 and Geokids.

18-Aug-21
Found it, it was very tricky and it took us multiple attempts as a family to locate it

14-Aug-21
Out caching with GeoM today but far too many muggles around to have a proper look. We’ll have to come back another day.

01-Jun-21
Not doing at all well today. Another DNF ️

26-May-21
I think I know where this one is but I don’t have the grip or the right tool to get at it...or I’m wrong and I don’t know where it is.

10-Mar-21
Found this one straight away which is weird seeing I couldn't find too other easy ones nearby.

05-Mar-21
Stopped by in the early night hoping to make an easy few finds in Sherwood Arboretum. Alas, I hadn't looked at the D/T ratings beforehand, so this hide quickly became more difficult than we were hoping for. We gave GZ a good look over, but decided it would definitely be more easy in the daylight.

TFTH, will be back another time

21-Feb-21
Super cool. Super tricky. A definite fave point for us.

Thanks for making us scramble around in the heat.

21-Feb-21
Had a quick look before going magnet fishing nearby, no luck today haha

11-Feb-21
Very clever..Tftc...

12-Jan-21
We hit this one on the way back to the car and had a very quick look but the turtles and ducks proved much more interesting to the geokids. After that the heat of the day finished them off, so we gave up quickly. Certainly not a search worthy of a D4, but it was just too hot in the sun here today.

01-Jan-21
No luck today.

07-Dec-20
Late in the day a couple of weeks ago, we were out in this area, and saw the general location of where we should look for this geocache. There were plenty of people in the area at that stage, so we decided to leave it and come back another day.
Fast forward to today, and in the unrelenting midday heat, we knew we would have the area to ourselves.
Mr Domsky Put his hand on it very quickly only to discover something that made us chuckle. Back to the search and pretty quickly we had our name added to the log. A definite favourite point added here.
Thanks KrispyKremers

Very clever. My first red herring. And glad to find it in the end too! I’m known for my overthinking. Lucky nobody about on this rainy day. Definite favourite cache so far! TFTC!

16-Oct-20
These ones are my favourite. Went out for a geocache afternoon and forgot the blinkin geo-pen. Got a photo of the cache of admin would like to see thanks for the hide!

03-Oct-20
Wow! What a great cache! Today I realised my 2.5year old has really been paying attention to me caching as he was the one to make the find after I quickly swept past the same spot! Fantastic cache FP from me today!

01-Oct-20
I needed to do a bit of caching before I return to work on Tuesday, but I had a unsuccessful visit last week as a friend had told me a couple of months back that this was a good cache to find and very clever. No one around today so I had the area to my self and eyeballs the whole place until I found a twitch so keeping one eye on the Park and surrounds I set to work to examine it further and found the decoy. Now what, think and think some more. I found that extremely powerful cache and all the time I was thinking " what if, what if" until I finally had it in my hand. Quickly signed the log and replaced as found as I could hear voices approaching. All done and dusted before the children arrived to look at the ducks. A very well thought out and constructed cache. TFTC

Did not find a family of ducks were lurking.

28-Aug-20
So so glad to have found this one!! Really amazing. TFTC!!

25-Aug-20
We got lucky to find the red herring quickly, but then were quite stumped. After going back to the drawing board, we got it!
Super clever! Here's a favourite point! This is our sixth successful KrispyKremers cache - they are fun.
tftc!

23-Aug-20
Out and about caching today. Trying to locate this cache took more time than I usually look for a cache. It did not help that muggles kept hanging around GZ. Finally clear, and more searching. Eventually found. TFTC> Giving FP for the setup of the cache

23-Aug-20
No luck with this one.

22-Aug-20
Out with Richmond Lad, finding a few caches. So many muggles at GZ today. It made searching very hard. Eventually I made a PAF, who confirmed that I was on the right track, but muggles had kept us away from just the right spot. We moved to the other side and I continued to chat to my friend until the muggles moved away from where I wanted to be. We quickly moved to that spot before more muggles could move in. Shortly after, We found the red herring, followed by the cache itself. With our names added to the log and everything returned as found, we continued on our way. TFTC

21-Aug-20
Woo hoo. First time finding a red herring!! Very funny. Out with PirateLinda and Peppa. It was a cheeky hide!!

21-Aug-20
Oh my gosh Peppa Giraffe and I are obviously no where near as clever as other cachers. Certainly wasn’t a quick find for us . But persistence paid off. Eventually .
Favourite point from me

21-Aug-20
Another visit... this time with reinforcements...it was PirateLinda’s actions that led me to the Red Herring... Even then it took another twenty minutes to find the cache... Fave point for the ingenuity of this hide... very satisfying to finally find a KrispyKremers cache...

16-Aug-20
Not a great one to start on with new geocachers in my company (after/during church picnic). DNF! Sad

01-Aug-20
No luck for me today, but there was a big group of muggles nearby so didn’t feel too comfortable peering and poking around!

31-Jul-20
I decided after work to take my bike here for a little ride and find. At gz i couldn't believe it. Muggles had brought their seats and were sitting so close I couldn't look. Just took a photo of this beautiful duck. Thanks for taking me here. I will be back

22-Jul-20
Oohh this was a goodie. It took me 2 visits, I must confess. My first visit was with my son and the hound. We checked most things over and favoured a certain spot based on a recent KrispyKremers adventure. But lo, that was unsuccessful.

We spread out a bit and came across a red herring. That sucks. Had to hide our shame when putting it back and then moved back to our favoured spot. In the end we gave up and went away to think about it some more.

I returned this afternoon with the hound and got to work. Rather than start in my favoured spot, I started on the other side. I figured starting somewhere else would open up some possibilities. Almost immediately, there she was. Unbelievable. I was right there on my first visit. This one's all about psychology. Where is the candid camera?

Great to have this one chalked up. And great to have a laugh at myself. TFTC KrispyKremers. A favourite point from 5Meerkats.

18-Jul-20
Very well hidden

17-Jul-20
This was our first cache of the day and first time around we couldn't find it so we went off to explore more of the park as it has been a while since we were here last...definately before Geocaching days.
We had good look around and grabbed a few other caches before returning to try for a more thorough search. We didn't have to wait long until we were in the clear and muggle free.
We could so easily have missed this...our determination paid off big time as we not only found a red herring but also a clever cache
We mused as to how you constructed this; its awesome and as such gets a favourite point from us today.
Thanks for the cache KrispyKremers

16-Jul-20
Thanks for making me laugh at myself Smile

04-Jul-20
Maintenance run. All good with the cache.

13-Jun-20
As Gunnie59 and I approached there was that feeling of - there is so many possibilities to where this one could be! I checked my phone and satillite pictures to get a good fix, but that did not help in the end. A check along and up and over and around. Hmm.. people arrived and we decided maybe we leave this and come back. A PAF to get some sort of idea of where we should be looking and we returned to the GZ. OK so we had an idea, and made a methodical search between the bird watchers coming and going. Soon I had a feel of something and found the cleverly built hidden cache. Good work here! TFTC

13-Jun-20
You know what I find interesting about the human psychy? It's that even though you ave found a couple of caches from a CO in th elast hour or so, when you arrive at another one, for some very obscure reason, my brain does not assemble the logic that tells me that maybe, just maybe, there could be a theme going here... Oh no, not my brain, it typically seems to reset between caches, making every hunt as difficult as it can be. [B)]

In location with NurseyJulie, we had already spent 20 minutes or so hunting this one, then decided to do the rounds of the park and secure the other icons before returning. On the second visit, I still found myself re-checking some of the places I had scanned the first time. So Gunnie, what was Einstein's definition of insanity again... Red Face

I switched up my approach, but still had nothing to show, so NJ put out a call for help to at least narrow this down. With some of the ideas I had for the hide now dismissed, it was only then the theme thing kicked in and after a methodical search, NurseyJulie moved something and aha, would you look at that. Big Grin

A great sigh of relief adding our names to the log, even though we also sufferred the same deflating feeling on discovering a red herring along the way.

A very nicely crafter cache indeed KK, bravo. Add this favourite point to the collection. [^]

07-Jun-20
After being in lockdown, we are out geocaching in this area to enjoy to fresh air and sunshine.
Maybe Sunday was not the best day to go geocaching in a park as there were so many people around. At GZ we tried to discreetly search but after about 10minutes had to call it a DNF.
Will return on another day that is not so busy.

30-May-20
Found it. Hah. Found in 2 seconds. Hah. Not hard enough. Hah.

21-May-20
Was here an afternoon recently but the place was far too busy for a thorough search.
Back in the dark tonight.
Turned out I had the right idea last time just that the cache spot was occupied by a lady with a large camera.
Good job here, have an FP
Thank you for placing this geocache KrispyKremers

I pushed, Pulled, prodded, kicked and swore at every object i could see and a lot that I couldn't see and in the end I resorted to a PAF call and was directed to a spot which I thought I had searched thoroughly. Yep! that's where the cache was located.

Started to pour down rain just as I thought I found it...such disappointment .....Seriously....we nearly left....but stayed until we found it and the log was signed.

Overall this was an amazing cache and definitely deserves a FP for the effort!!

Started to rain while searching, my crazy wouldn’t let let us leave without finding it.
We are drenched but happy to have logged this one. Really deserved the like.

Travelled down to Karawatha with the main objective to visit 'GC8E Queens Land', the oldest cache in Queensland. Walked the tracks finding a few caches in the area before heading back to where I was staying in Toowong, stopping several times along the way to add to the day's tally. Thanks for the cache KrispyKremers!

After lunch with T-Tech, we headed southwards to grab a few new caches. Time to tackle a few KK caches!

We found the right spot first up but didn't look close enough Red Face so wandered around a little. A similar spot gave no joy either, then I went back to the first, and diligence gave the reward [^] Very sneaky! TFTC, KrispyKremers.

15-Oct-19
Had the place to myself on this dreary overcast morning, so I got down to brass tacks and began searching. Tried looking for a couple of tricks I've seen used before, and was chuffed to find a container fairly quickly, but it turns out it was a red herring that this CO seems to enjoy using for bait.

Often that means one is getting warmer, so a bit more of a search and voila there it was!

A bit of fun and a good effort here in the construction department. A fave point seems to have dropped out of my top pocket while leaning over the railing Smile

Log signed at 10:30 and cache returned as found. Thanks for the smilie and bringing us here **KrispyKremers**. This log is trackable, mention where you saw it.

Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.

Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.

Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.

Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.

Thanks KrispyKremers (F=322 H=7) for the cache.

Time for Mrs VC to get Mr VC & Winter the Geo-Cat out of the house for some fresh air so a-caching we must go!
Having no idea where Mrs VC had in mind for today I just drove where the GPSr indicated & let Mrs VC have her way with me.
This was the third of 11 caches found today.

Parked the Geo-Beast & Mrs VC headed over to GZ with hopes of a relatively quick find while I entertained Winter the Geo-Cat.
Some time later (although I must admit there were several muggles that came & went at GZ) Mrs VC was still searching when she was joined by swaddy01, a cacher we had not met before ... nice to meet you ... & the searching continued.
I decided to hobble over & offer my assistance but as I approached Mrs VC called out in triumph ... then realised it was a red herring.
However, all was good ... the next call off 'Got it" was to herald in the cache itself.
Well done!

Made our respective marks & replaced as found.
TFTC KrispyKremers Smile
Definitely a Favourite Point for this one! Smile

Mrs Tinda and I went for a stroll through here for the first time in a long time. The general GZ seemed clear enough and I soon had the right idea but the wrong location. After a lot of fooling around, I found the decoy and after a bit more consideration, the cache. My heart bleeds for the Chappy below! I’ve done something very similar in the past.
TFTC which is very well done and all is fine with it.

Out for the day with nikid1 & we knew this one would not be easy but we love a KrispyKremers cache. There were some muggles at GZ when we arrived so we waited them out & then the searching began. We got excited as thought we had found the cache but alas it wasn't so the search continued & we eventually managed to find the sneaky beast - yippee!
Thanks for the cache KrispyKremers, a favourite point from me

05-Sep-19
Nice one! It took us a while to even find the object others find easily. That was because there were 2 muggles just there! We watched the ducks then sat under a tree to think. Boy it’s hot today and it’s only the 5th day of spring. Muggles moved and I swooped in like a hungry seagull. First object found. Ummm that was mean! After a little more searching we had the cache in hand. So much easier when you have the area to yourself.

28-Aug-19
Aha! Found it!
Krispys, you’ve done it again!! Very good.
Saw plenty of white-eye ducks here today. Then we spotted the cache.
A favourite point for sure.

Well, not much to add to our previous log as that's where the majority of the humour occurred!

After a quick back and forth with the CO we realised how close the FTF had been.

Back we came and completed the smiley! Terrific work once again , Kremers. Keep these quality caches coming and an easy FP from TC

23-Aug-19
Well it's a no for me[?]
From looking at the previous log just now, we (my wife joined me today) must have missed meeting the CO and latest finder by I'm not sure how long[?]
Anyhow, total failure at finding this one. Had a couple of ideas and the didn't work out.
I've been slacking off on Geocaching lately, as I'm currently more interested in bird watching (not a "Twitcher" though in the purest sense of the word) and amateur wildlife photography. I can certainly say this spot is excellent for doing that. Although we left without finding the cache, we did manage to spot 29 different bird species during our time here.
I'll be back some other time, to have another search for this one and a couple of other caches here I didn't bother trying for (too busy bird watching), although we did manage to find one nearby cache during our walk Smile
