Gave it a good look. Can never tell just whose chest height is the reference. Thought I knew what I was looking for. It could be there.
Took a little while to find this one - GPS had us at the wrong end! Quick find once in the right place - tftc
I did not want to pull the wall apart as it looked rather fragile. Was surprised by a muggle - just said hello with no explanation. The lowest part of the underpass is pretty wet and unpleasant to walk through!
This helped our mission to clear out a small chunk Feildings caches today and will be coming back to finish the rest another day.
We were both looking where our gps took us and the geocaching app was 6m from the Cachly app. Cachly always has better accuracy so of course I found it first HA! this container can’t fool us.
I wrote in the log and concealed it carefully back as found,
TFTCSL Thanks Popmac for this Traditional cache!

A nice little shortcut and a super quick find again by Mrs Geckoh as Mr Geckoh had again gone too far. Was a little worried on approach that this was going to be a bit harder than it actually was. TFTC

Walking around the other ide of Feilding from yesterday while GAR has the car to get to the Foxton area for a second day of dog trials. Met someone coming the other way after I made the find and counted myself lucky that while at GZ I was by myself so I no-one saw me loitering! Thanks for the nice hide Popmac!
Nice appropriate camo here and the cache was soon located and signed. I think I recall the last one here.
Onto the second part of my day and a catch up with Tommygun9 for some finds together. Just the 5 but a tricky field puzzle completed, as well as another Multi for the day, that's quite a few today.
After a relative famine of caches for me recently due to a number of factors I planned to head to Feilding and catch up with tommygun9 for a few mutual search targets, I was in two minds of what to get up to prior though, I was keen for some fishing to maintain a recent trout-less sequence (it continued!) and settled on another trip up the beautiful Pohangina Valley, it sure does turn on the style come Autumn. I've managed to track down some/most of the Wildbore Multi finals too and was keen to cache in those numbers.
A modest haul of 11 caches up the valley and 5 more in Feilding later in the day and a good day to be out and about. Then bumped into Edvern out at the wetlands entrance and a nice catch up with her and her husband. Thanks to all COs for their hides today.

This was the first cache, and meeting point for today's mission and was a well camo'ed house at the likely spot.

A break from studying for tomorrow's exam was needed and capperz had suggested a short caching mission. I checked for and local clusters of mutually unfound caches and spotted a couple in this corner of Feilding. It was an enjoyable little outing before heading back for more study (I passed if you're reading this and wondering).

Due to the postponement of the Auckland Mega, Buttels and the Crystal half decided to use the dates planned for the event to do some caching between Wellington and Palmy. Loved this one.. Glad we stumbled across it quickly haven't seen similar ones before. Thanks for the cache
Another quick cache to grab on our way around town. Was with Crystal Fairy as we headed up to Palmerston North for a weekends caching. TFTC
First find for the day. Quick find after waiting for the muggle to finish his run. Love the camo, perfect placement. Tftc
Caching around town this evening after covering most of the SHEILD caches during the day.
These containers have amazing camo.
It took me a while to spot.

Having had a brilliant day yesterday ushering in Daylight Saving for this year, I had today off work to be able to attend an event in Palmy and also to go out and find a reasonable number of caches to fulfill my personal goal of finding X caches every single month. I've pretty much cached out my immediate locale so I'm having to go further and further afield to find caches, so found myself in Feilding for a few hours.
GZ itself was nice and quiet mid morning so I was able to conduct my search without muggle issues. It only took me a moment to spot something familiar, as I have a few of these myself.
No issues with the log, which was signed and everything replaced as found before I strolled back to the car to head off for another

#9888. I was up in the Manawatu on a geocaching day trip with Infoferret to boost the numbers of Adventure labs, find some solved puzzles and grab whatever else happened to be nearby. After picking up a nearby puzzle we stopped here to do this one. Last time I was here I couldn't find it and thought I was cache blind. Infoferret pointed to it as soon as we arrived. I was feeling embarrassed as I had told her how long I spent looking for it last time. I own two caches of that type so should have known better. But I see from the past logs it was missing at that stage so my caching mojo is restored. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks Popmac for the cache.
I completely walked past this at first. I checked out the hint but normally it differs for me so I wasn’t looking in the right spot. On the second pass through it was exactly as described.
TFTC Popmac!

We didn’t know this was a short cut under the railway lines, so nice to be able to learn a bit of the urban pedestrian planning. Took a wee while to find as lots of good hiding places, but hubby was onto it and cache soon found.
Having a cruise around the area to grab a few caches. After a short search we found the clever hide. Tftc
No luck here. Looked in a number of places that matched the hint and there are some good hiding spots at that level. But could not feel the container hidden in any of them. Hopefully another newbie will confirm its still there. They seem better at finding this than experienced cachers!
This is certainly an interesting feature; I don't think I have seen one like it before. I wasn't at the site long but it was enough time for a couple of awkward encounters with muggles. After the second one, I decided to move along.
Not a very nice place to search for a cache due to the rubbish so I was super happy to have a descriptive hint that narrowed down the places this could be. A quick find once I read the hint.

Out with TharntheHalken on a caching expedition around the Manawatu. Found after a bit of a hunt. All good. Tftc!
I hatched a plan to get 2021 caches by the end of 2021. This did not go quite to plan but managed to get out and about on the 3 day of 2021 to grab some caches around Feilding, then toward Awahuri then Bulls on the way home.
All quiet here as I grabbed this cache, signed log and left as found.
Thanks for the placement Popmac.

(# 6463). Today is a trip up the line to Feilding primarily to attend the community celebration event this evening. A quick find. Everything in order. Thanks for bringing me here.
Having a day or 2 in the area collecting mainly solved caches, with the odd traditional along the way Thanks popmac??????all good here ..we were run over by a train during our search??????
Back "in town" after a long delay indirectly because of Covid. Delivering mr 7 year old home tomorrow and filling in time. The train rumbled over as we looked. Thanks for the experience and the cache popmac.
Heading back to the East Coast after a week of work in Whanganui. Thought I would make it a leisurely trip and collect a few smileys on the way. Enjoyed exploring Friendly Fielding. Nice hide here. Thanks
Found on an afternoon trip to Feilding. Good to catch up on caches here. Thanks for placing here Popmac, it certainly deserves a cache. Relieved to find it quickly!
Very nice find with woolwood9 after the International Geocaching Day Event in Palmerston North.
Great location, good effective hide here.

Just as I was approaching the train came past, poor girl came running out from the under pass, I too would not like to be under there when a train comes roaring pass, found the cache signed it and headed back to my campervan only to find the neighbour taking down my van details lol, so much for my guard dog, tftc Potomac and nice meeting you last night
Just had to find one more after attending tonight’s event and jointly claiming a FTF. Now time to drive back to Wellington. TFTC
10 June 2020 20:04. Found after tonights event with Ethness. Log signed as IE to save space. Tftc, now for the long drive back to Wellington...
Took me a while (quite a while actually!). But perseverance paid off. Nice little hide. Many thanks for the cache.
My exercise today involved a 3.8 km out and back walk. Oh, and I found a geocache too.
Walked from Port Streets. Compass gave me a bit of gyp to start with but after checking out a few empty possibilities I read the previous log and found it immediately.
I thoroughly enjoyed exploring another corner of Feilding.
Not logged until now due to pressure from fellow geocacher's interpretation of the lock-down rules. Thanks for keeping your caches active and thanks for the cache.

Well Popmac, this would be one of your easier ones, thank you! It was the logical hide for this spot. TFTC
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... We were really keen to log a Leap Day Event cache and collect the souvenir, but our nearest was the camp-out at Awhitu. We have already cached in that area and wanted to use our time a bit more effectively, so we reasoned that a trip south would be worthwhile. There were three events in the Manawatu region. Road trip...
Another Leap Day marked and confined to history - Now it’s time to head home to some normality, but not before we visit a few more caches along the way... We didn’t explore the short cut at all. We got the impression that head room under the tracks was limited, so we went straight to searching. The previous DNF didn’t deter us - The cache was hidden well but as expected. Thanks Popmac and TFTC.

Got the old one here years ago. This was easier. Now the walk home. No one around so it eas very pleadant searching quietly. Thanks for replacing a cache in this excellent location.

#11,609. A walk and grab off Makino Road in Feilding. Fortunately, GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

A bit of a chilly wet day today, but decided to pick up a cache for the 321 challenge.
The GPS was jumping around a bit here so it was a little hard to pin point the exact GZ, however it was soon located using the clue and eliminating possibilities.
Thanks for putting this here Popmac

Great wee cache in an interesting spot. Thanks for helping me tick off another dot day!
Found almost instantly by Alice, 12yrs...while I was off to find it where it wasn't!
In town, staying with Father for a couple of days. Headed off on my morning walk with this cache and it's neighbour in mind.
I instantly thought I knew what I was looking for and my instinct was correct.
Cheers

Was in Feilding for work and knew that there was a few caches around this lovely little settlement that need my attention, but as always time is off a limit , not quite sure where it has gone as there is always 24 hours in a day, but there is always two exceptions (daylight savings, starts and finishes, but thats only a technicality).
Decided to take a small break and pick up some lunch, we late lunch, coming on just after 3pm, but I hadnt eaten since breakfast. As I was eating my well deserved lunch I checked y GPSr and noticed this cache and seeing the DNF log, I decided that it was probably best to try and got this cache sooner than later.
Arriving near GZ, I soon realised where the cache was going to be, so I decided that I would drive a bit further up the road and make a U turn and park near the walkway that would take me to GZ, was able to find a safe parking spot without any issues as the area was totally clear of ant muggles at this stage.
Once I got out of the car, I was less than 50 metres from GZ, so it didnt take long to make my way down to GZ, I already had a kind of feeling as to where this cache was going to be and what sort of hide, having known what the CO is like. As I walked pass one spot I had a quick look and check the GPSr and realised that I was still 8 metres away from GZ, so decided to continue down the path. Finally arriving at another spot, I soon spotted something that roused my suspicion and knew immediately that this was the cache.
Managed to retrieve cache quickly without any other issues, opened, signed, and then replaced the cache back where I found it. Thanks Popmac for placing the cache here and for bringing me back to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (14655). Was glad that it was school holidays and the middle of a working day, this could be quite hard to gather otherwise.
Now it is time to make my way back to the car and continue on my travels to the next customer that I had on my list that I needed to see today, well time is definitely flying away today....

A quick easy find in this walkway, where we recall finding the previous cache also. TFTC
I did not know this short cut was here although may not be the best if stream was in flood. A straight forward find. Thanks for the cache and your time and interest in placing it. haydn.seek NZ
Like many others we were surprised to see the Seven Day Streak challenge pop up suddenly on Saturday, to start on Sunday! Fortunately, we do have several fairly local caches we could use, so expect to complete the streak - we've never bothered with a streak before. Now it is Day 5, and we're still going strong.
After dropping some family at the airport we headed Feilding way to do two new caches not too far apart.
This was our second cache and was found fairly quickly - albeit being pretty well concealed. We suspected what we'd need to look for and it is an effective little hide.
We remembered being here for the previous cache some years ago - the path was flooded at its lowest point (fortunately we'd entered from the correct side), and a train went overhead while we were there. No such excitements happened while we were there today. All was quiet. TFTC Popmac
