Was off on a solo caching raid from Runanga to Lake Brunner. A nice easy find before I started to walk the loop gathering 3 more caches (hopefully). TFTC gracie7 and Mum.
Today's caching road trip is from Stillwater to Moana. It is still a bit of a distance to the actual dam.Cheers for the cache, Gracie7 + Mum.
Another West Coast hydro scheme I knew nothing about. There was some discussion regarding the West Coast and if it will be self-sufficient just after "the big one". Let's hope that that'll be a long way in the future so none of us will find out. Thanks for being our tour guide.
All quiet until a group of Kayakers arrived. We had found and signed the log and were heading back to the car. TFTC
What a beautiful walk.came here to photograph blue mushrooms but really enjoyed the area
After hanging around home for an extra day so that we could cart our hay in we finally headed to the Coast for a couple of days - have to be back at work on Wednesday so a very short summer holiday for us this year.
We didn't really have a plan for where exactly on the Coast we were headed but when I spotted a couple of potential ftfs nearby and with gk willing to go to try to find them, this was the area we headed.
After he had successfully accomplished that mission I spotted this little cluster of caches so we came to have a look for them.
This was an immediate find - not where we expected it to be, but a super quick find. There were no other people around so it was perfect timing to come and have a look.
Happy New Year to you.
Thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

Spending the winter woofing, tramping and exploring the west coast caching along the way ..of course..
Back in greymouth for a while working at the Noah's ark backpackers...so a good base to tick off a few more..
Set myself a mission to hit 8000 finds by the end of the year...that's an average of 6 a day ..
Cracking day so out for a drive and a stroll to see what turns up...bit confused with the lack of signs at the entrance to where to go but got there eventually..cache was a quick find tftc

Decided on doing a loop walk with a group of family and friends. And grabbing a couple of caches along the way. With three cars arriving we managed to grab this one first. A nice easy find. TFTC
After a train ride and other stuff at Shantytown, Grandma and Papa (andy.gail) took me on a short bike ride to find some 'treasure' on the bike track. The other members of Gingertribe we back at Lake Brunner wake-boarding. I like finding 'treasure'. We are heading back to Lake Brunner and stopped here.TFTC gracie7 + Mum
Still plenty of daylight, so why not another little walking adventure? The place was absolutely deserted! TFTC!!
Quickly found. Didn't get to see as much pf the water coming out as I thought I could. Skipped the walk, it can wait for another day.
A great day to be on the coast, this would be a cool wee campsite.
Cheers and thanks,
S.t.

Had a bit a look for this at the start of the walk without success. After the walk I was prepared to spend a bit of time searching but quickly lucked in . Thanks for the placement.
A nice quick find thanks. We'll be back to do the walk another time.
How novel, a weekend away! Off to the Coast for a weekend, first time in ages!!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

We came to do a check on one of the caches on this track so decided to check them all while we were here.
All good here we just replaced the floral logstrip with a proper waterproof one. Happy Caching

Was about to get in my car after my run when I realised I had not checked the area for caches for a while. Bingo! Thanks for the hide.
Last one. Day three and our last day of our West Coast holiday. My wife sent in the answers.
It's Queen's Birthday weekend and we are at level 2 so geocaching is permitted. Traveling is also permitted. So, we traveled to Greymouth in our camper. Now we are heading home via Lake Brunner. Thanks for the hide gracie7 + Mum. We really enjoyed the walk, we ended up doing the circuit.

Found with StreetWalkerNZ on our first post COVID-19 lock down weekend away. The forecast for the West Coast this Queens Birthday weekend is sun, sun, and more sun so that's where we are heading .
I had turned off my GPSr as it was a while between caches, and SW was navigating, so he was quickly onto the hide while I was sorting out the Oregon. TFTC.

#18176. Our first visit to this hydro scheme, and we enjoyed checking it out (an interesting setup). TFTC.
**Found on our February - March tour around the South Island. Logging back home in Auckland in Lockdown isolation**
Yesterday we drove up the coast from Greymouth to Westport, and today we are travelling back via the inland route.
A quick find after doing the nearby field puzzle, thanks.

Had a great day travling from the West Coast back to Oamaru, 3 days of great weather, many thanks for the caches. - Bitsprayer
Found on a three day caching journey over to the West Coast. We really enjoyed the challenging hours spent in solving the many puzzle caches and now the signing off on the log books. We had a great spell of weather as we traveled along the many roads in the area. Many thanks to the various cache owners for placing and maintaining their caches. TFTC
(# 5357). Today is day 5 of my West Coast trip. All I can say is rain, rain and more rain. Today's order of the day was to go to Moana and have a look around. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC

We had considered detouring to this area on our way back to the Coast yesterday but decided to leave it until today when we could take as much time as we liked since we'd never walked this track before despite being frequent visitors to the area for several years.
We arrived at the car park to find another car there and as soon as we saw the FTF name on this log we figured who it might be.
After signing the log we set off to find the other caches along this loop track.
Thank you gracie7 + Mum.

When we looked at the long range forecast yesterday or today would be the best. The plan was pretty loose and only after lunch and enough gardening for the day did we decide to do the Arnold Power Station walk. We noticed when we downloaded the caches for off line use that no logs had been filed yet and when another car was spotted on the car park how bizarre it would be to be beaten at the draw while the caches had been out here for over a week. Our thoughts were confirmed when we signed the log and we wondered if we should go clockwise or anti-clockwise so we could meet. It proved we made the wrong choice and we never met. We had a nice walk and unexpectedly met a number of people on the way too. A spring day and five caches to be found. What could go wrong! Thank you gracie7 + Mum
