We found this cache on our explorer trip through this area. It's a beautifull region. The cacche is NOT a micro but a nano.Team Mavos - Albert and Maria
Thanks a nice easy one although grass is very long and wet today. *The generic bit for this trip*We are on now on our way south after heading north for warmer weather. From Cooktown back to Notth East Victoria, weaving inland and to the coast, caching as we go. No real plans, just taking each day as it comes and enjoying the adventure in our converted ambulance. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining caches for our enjoyment.
First find for team PPandB! Found this time by second P.Very good clues, made you think and look hard. This gave us lots of fun for Mother's day and a great time out and about.*Note: the log is getting very full*
This one took us a while, tiny little thing. It is full though. Needs new log book.
A day on the southern Atherton Tableland - collecting a few more caches (lots of nanos today) and collecting AdLab waypoints. No luck with multis though. Quite a few kilometres covered and some interesting spots visited.GPS was a bit out and looked at one spot first before finding another tiny one.TFTC GRUFTYS
Didn't bring a pen sry. Searched and searched and found it eventually. Tftf

On our morning caching expedition and after having coffee and milkshake creations in town we headed out to work off our brunch. After a quick stop and search we located GZ. TFTC
Went out to visit the historic village today and had a great time. Will be returning tomorrow to see the stuff we missed.
On our return we stopped and grabbed this cache.

Great walking trail! Thankyou for bringing us here. Stopping at a few select spots as we drive Mena Creek to Cairns back to Townsville
A great trip over to Queensland.
Was able to put a few smileys on the map.
This was one of them.
Now catching up with logging them with five minutes on the computer.

We are doing the A.L just up the road, so we stopped and grabbed this smile at the same time.. tftc
Took a small detour on my way back to Townsville to pick this one up. A nice quick find. TFTC
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 45. Cooktown to Atherton travel day. I headed off after packing up in the rain and getting quite wet, but of course as I got a bit out of town it stopped raining. The Black mountain rocks looked very broody in the mist, and I dove straight past Lakeland. A quick stop in Mount Molloy and on past Mareeba. At last as I reached Tolga there was some caching to do. I moved onto Atherton and set up camp in a town van park and went out for a few more in the late afternoon. A longer day than I have had for a bit now.
It was getting dark, so with torch in hand I headed the short distance down the rail trail to visit this spot. Nice and simple I am happy to say.
Thanks for the cache Gruftys

On our way to Malanda for the morning, our GPS lead us this way out of Atherton and we noticed there was a cache nearby!
Nice!
So we stopped and had a look at the rail trail that runs along here.
What a great idea, to create a pathway from an old disused railway.
Log signed. Thanks GRUFTYS

Checking out the Atherton tablelands after being inTownsville for the mega. Did your TRAIN-RAID? today. 12 May 2022 10:35 am Tyfc GRUFTYS total caches now 4818 .
We woke up this morning and the predicted rains hadn't turned up yet so we thought that we would have a bit of fun and try our luck with the RRR series of caches.
The roads were a little bit slippery in places but we had a ball and finished quicker than we expected..
After finishing this lot the rain had eased a little so we continued on a few more around town.
This was the next and as we pulled up we both guessed where the cache would be and were very happy when it was.
To save room we signed with T.C.
Many thanks GRUFTYS for the cache, unfortunately it was not the weather to go for a walk.

Found after having lunch nearby. The log is very very wet and needs replacing
It is so wet that GT37 and I have resolved that when the rain gives us a window, we will find whatever cache we are near. It is incredibly wet but the window appeared and we found this cache. Thank you for placing it for us to find.
Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.
Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??
Thanks Gruftys (F=3573 H=26) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

Gps wouldnt behave itself, wandered around like idiots for awhile then on returning to the car to get new device spied the cache. Tftc
Nice quick park and grab, these keep reminding me I need to do the cycle trail one day.
We enjoyed a visit to the Yungaburra Markets this morning. Fortunately the rain held off long enough for a lap of all the stalls. One the way back to Mareeba via Atherton we detoured to find this cache. A small, sneaky hide that was easily found once at the GZ.
Thanks Gruftys for placing and maintaining this hide.

Easy park and grab! Looks like a nice track along the train line for biking or walking. TFTC
A quick cache raid here by the rusty rails
But them rails ain't quite as rusty as they should be ! [:o]
I reckon that this railway has been used in the last few months
Dunno ??

Love this concept of the multi purposes track beside the disused track.
This kicks off our 1st for the day on our 2nd day of caching on the tablelands . Loving that it's not raining
