Logs
Thank goodness for old logs and spoiler photos as the name and GPS had me much more adventurous than I needed to be. TFTC.
Reperio 21:07Day 4 of our NSW south eastern caching tour, and Master Vitruvius and I travelled from Batemans Bay to Eden. The biggest factor of our travels today was the wind. Often blowing so hard it was a challenge to both get the log signed and hang onto zip lock bags. The journey along the coast was fantastic. With rain threatening to arrive early the next day, we aimed to get as much done as we could, and so concentrated our effort on ticking off the caches along Bengello Beach. As we continued down the coast, we turned our focus to finding the SST series as well as a few others along the way. As we had planned to do the VB series the next day, we made a start on it this evening. Found most of the caches we searched for, so it was a great day out.Gratias dghoffyAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Down the coast for annual holiday found on a day trip to EdenQuick find, could have park closer
Out and about road tripping with a muggle friend. Only doing Adventure Labs and the occasional cache. A dead roo right next to the cache was certainly on the nose. Thankfully a quick find and off to find another

After chasing the GPS from one side to the other and going under and over the e we were ready to give up. I then sat in the car and started to read the previous Fonda and passed to Mr Shadow who was still looking the information and he had it spotter instantly. Great spot. TFTC
Caching down the south coast for a while. TFTC.
A nice hidden in plain sight cache. Well done.

It took us far too long to locate what should have been an easy find. Miz Wacket came up with the goods just as I was ready to call it. The satellite map view had me on the wrong side of the road.
Thanks for the cache, dghoffy

I can't believe how long it took to find the obvious! Crikey, I am getting cache blind! Thanks.
The eldest boys ventured further than they needed too. They just needed to be on guard more.

Found this cache on our East Coast Trip Day 5 in company of Bazzars. On route to Pambula, we found a few extra on the VB series. Thanks from D B-A
Found a note pad with unlogged geocaches from The Stumble's annual caching trip so doing a lot of retrospective logging.

Exactly as the hint says. Great spot here, even if we did have to wait for a muggle-mobile to move along. TFTC!
Checked on this one today after reading previous finders logs. It appears that the structure has been up dated and our original hidey hole has vanished. Cache is now a little exposed but will leave it in place and hope if survives.
**This Cache**
It wasn't exactly "up and under" at all, so we replaced it in the same spot of course, but more inline with the hint to keep it less exposed from muggle eyes & the weather & to match the hint once more

**All caches were signed *AB ! 11 / 9***
Adventure Boys! consisted of: Loci612, DARKSIDEDAN and sebass19 for this trip

**Day 2: VB Series**
Today our main focus was the VB series, plus a few extras along the coastline section of the loop! We started nice and early at 7am and had a jam packed day until we decided to leave the last 20 or so for the next morning! We didn't expect the series to take quite as long as it did, but with some tricky hides, tough bush bashing through thick regrowth and a couple of DNF's the time added up quickly! Thankfully we almost had the roads to ourselves, at one point we saw less than a handful of cars over several hours! We did see a big bikie group coming through the forest at one stage also!
Absolutely fantastic series, easily one of the best in NSW! I'm not a big fan of power trails but this was far from one! Just a cluster of awesome caches, on quiet roads with plenty of parking and lots of creativity and fun to be had!
Thanks dghoffy!

Found with the Adventure Boys (Dan, Seb, Loci) on a trip to the deep South. Signed dsd or darksidedan or Adventure Boys or AB to save space in the log. Thanks for the cache and the adventure.
Excellent hide in plain sight! Partner walked past it twice looking for something less obvious TFTC
We picked up a few more VBs on our way to Eden this morning. Found on a weekend trip to Merimbula with GrimRaider, Joolay and barb2e Capital Crunchers). Thanks for your hide here dghoffy
Quick pick up on our way past. Great to get a few VB’s Visiting the coast for events and a few caches with barb2e and Kittykatch. Weather is fabulous.
Thanks For getting me out and about dghoffy

Tftc. Our GPS had me across the road but we widened the search and fit immediately.
With our masks and sanitizer we are out in the area for a couple of days, adventuring for my birthday with nibletricecakes and GLISS! TFTC
Normally I’m good on the photos but today I was a little off my game so here is a photo of my pixie kitty instead.

Sometimes should just trust your instincts! Today we did not lol.
Down at the coast with GLISS! to help K8TYBEE celebrate her birthday. Perfect time to grab some funky caches, check out some antique shops and stare at the beautiful beach. Been watching the news in case the dreaded Covid rears it’s head down this way. So far things are looking all clear. Thanks for the cache.

Exploring the area with Nibletricecakes and k8tybee. Love the variety of dghoffy hides. Thanks for the entertaining day.
Another quick park and grab. This wasn’t what I was expecting but the name certainly makes sense. Had a look at the gorgeous view of the river today before we headed off for the next one.
Little Miss 4 enjoys it when we give her the opportunity to find the cache. This was a god sized cache and another quick find. Thanks for the fun.
Near a bridge I was expecting a different up and under. Finally, some trackables. Description said we would find 5 but only found 3 to take to our TBL hotel in Wollongong. TFTC.
Picked up this one on the return journey after missing the stopping point on the way out. Got fooled by the GPSr for a while, crossing the road and back as it danced around near the cliff.
Always pays to check the obvious first!
Dropped of 4 Travel Bugs and picked one up. Have had some for too long, so hopefully they will be on their way quickly.
Its been a while since we have made it up to the southern New South Wales coast but we are back for a week or so. Haven't chosen our time well with all the wind an rain that is about but it is still great to be away. But this has been of benefit to the local cafes as we have visited a few!
With a bit of a break in the weather we thought it was time to head out and look for a few local caches. There is quite a bit of new activity in the area since we were last here and with most of it by D G Hoffy, we knew there would be good and varied hides on the agenda. We weren't disappointed!
We managed to dodge most of the heavy showers during our time out and were treated to some magnificent scenery. All in all a great day.

The Canberra day long weekend falls on the first weekend in March so we usually take this time to head out of town. So this year, the caching troupe of us and Rapidlywild decided to head to the Merimbula to Eden coastline to collect a few smiley's.
The weather was lovely and it was really nice to get some sea breeze on our faces and sand between our toes.
A lovely view of the river, a quick park and grab.
Thanks for placement and the series dghoffy.

With the Canberra Day Long Weekend upon us, the FFLL ladies and I usually take off towards SA or the likes for some caching, however with the unpredictability of COVID on the borders, we decided we would try for something a little closer to home. We decided that we would come down and have a crack at the VB trail around Eden and Merimbula. It was a great weekend away with both the FFLL ladies and it was nice to see the ocean and get some sun on our faces.
Day 2 of our weekend away and time to collect some more smilies. A nice quick find here with lovely views of the Yowaka River.
Thanks for the cache placement dghoffy and thanks for the wonderful weekend away FFLL ladies Always enjoyable and always something to look forward to.

Heading south today, from Tomakin, destination Bairnsdale and yes we have our Victorian border entry permits on board.
Having loved doing the SST series, it would be great to complete the VB tour sometime.
Thanks dghoffy for placing such interesting caches on the gameboard.

I almost never hunt down easy caches, and this was no exception. I had just come up from the river and spotted it with even knowing it was there
I almost fell for the name of the cache here [:o]
Luckily I didn't,
and feel like a complete waka
Lucky fer me I spied the cache before going too far under

Gorgeous arvo, stopped raining so swimming and caching, M-A-S-S-I-V-E spider under cache, size of my hand.
A family holiday in Pambula with some early morning caching. Unfortunately the weather wasn't so great with overcast and rainy conditions on most days. Didn't stop the geokids hitting the surf and nearby river, but a few more degrees and blue sky would have been nice.
Spent a few hours most mornings before everyone else was up caching the local area.
Apologies for the generic logs, specific or interesting details added as appropriate.
A well planned and thought through series, well done!!. TNLNSL TFTC

We were heading north from Eden to Tathra, i.e., not in the intended direction for optimal caching on this series. However, we were not in too much of a hurry, and there was a safe place to pull over on the side of the road. Thus, it was merely a matter of crossing the road when it was safe to do so. I did miss out on several of the other caches in this series, but that's the life when the rest of the family isn't all that interested in caching.
I overshot GZ initially, and headed off under the bridge. But I soon realised that my GPSr had changed its mind about where it wanted me to be. After that it was a quick look in the obvious place, and soon the cache was in hand.

What a great series. Good caches and awesome scenery. This was one we found. Left trackable. Our thanks to dghoffy for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
