We loved your workmanship here, dghoffy. Very impressive and certainly deserving of another favourite point. Thanks for keeping us entertained as we continue our expedition.
Reperio 12:34Day 5 of our NSW south eastern caching tour, and Master Vitruvius and I travelled from Eden to Canberra, and it was another long but fantastic day of geocaching. As it had rained overnight, the bush land we had to walk through in the morning was quite wet, and so getting to some of the caches was made a little more tedious and difficult. Our goal for today was to complete the VB series, and then head towards Canberra later in the evening. Fortunately most of the caches we searched for were found, and there were certainly some fantastic containers along the way.Gratias dghoffyAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Accompanied by ALL7, parts of the VB series run on the road to pick up each cache on the way to the end. We enjoyed a trip to the country for an interesting view of the old cottage, huts, etc! TFTC
Got lucky and found the sneaky cache quickly. Two guardians (water skinks) looked on. TFTC

Love this type of cache - it’s similar to another in the local area which I think helped Geo husband work it out.

Found with the Adventure Boys (Dan, Seb, Loci) on a trip to the deep South. Signed dsd or darksidedan or Adventure Boys or AB to save space in the log. Thanks for the cache and the adventure.
I gave the VB series 3 favorite points in total. So many good caches. A few damp logs but nothing to bad accept for one that we couldnt sign.
Note: photos are not spoiler photos. The photo attached is from my geocaching adventures or a photo from my family life.

**This Cache**
Wow, this one is absolutely perfect! What an incredible hide! I have found several similar caches before in the past, but not many, and this one is VERY well executed. I was really impressed by the creativity and labor put into this one. This is the sort of cache that the CO had to visit GZ at least twice to prepare placement which is commendable to make the finder smile!
FAVOURITE for sure!

**Day 3: VB Series**
Today we had the goal of completing the VB series, we had 19 finds in the series today and 2 DNF's. Only 4 DNF's over the entire series which we were pretty happy about
Once completed, DSD had to rush back to Canberra whilst myself and sebass19 had a leisurely afternoon, picking up some more awesome caches in coastal towns! We were keen to get home before dusk however so soon enough we also hit the road back home!
Thanks once again for an amazing weekend away dghoffy! Absolutely fantastic series, easily one of the best in NSW! I'm not a big fan of power trails but this was far from one! Just a cluster of awesome caches, on quiet roads with plenty of parking and lots of creativity and fun to be had!
Day 10 of our 2 week road trip south from Brisbane. After overcoming floods, a bogged car and vehicle electrical issues, we finally reached Canberra to spend a few days with relatives before continuing south for a loop around the Snowy Mountains.
After spending last night in a hotel in Thredbo it was then time to continue our trip with a drive up towards Charlottes Pass, then a stop in Jindabyne before heading towards Eden for the run home up along the coast. To break up the drive I had a few caches earmarked along this road and stopped off here for a visit.
Some days the geocaching gods are against you and you are flummoxed by even the simplest, most obvious of hides, and on others everything you touch turns to gold. Today I was on song and the very first thing I touched revealed the cache hide. I must say that despite the instant success I did feel rather disappointed. If I had spent the next 20 minutes going around in circles before I found the cache I would have tipped my hat and acknowledged being defeated by a worthy adversary, such was the brilliance of this cache hide. Truly one of the best cache I have found so far this trip. TFTC

Now that was an interesting find. I'm suspecting the team must have some contacts with the construction party.
Had me guessing for a few minutes. But then I thought. What about...... Nice cache. A favourite point from me

Spending the school holidays with the geofamily at the beach, a little caching on the side. Continuing with a second day out on the VB series. Another great hide, well thought out and nicely hidden. Unfortunately there is a lot road works in the area at the moment affecting a good number of this series. Some may be gone, others only disturbed, hopefully most sitting safe and sound.
Apologies for the generic log. Additional details or anything vaguely interesting added to the end of log.

The Canberra day long weekend falls on the first weekend in March so we usually take this time to head out of town. So this year, the caching troupe of us and Rapidlywild decided to head to the Merimbula to Eden coastline to collect a few smiley's.
Day 3 of the adventure and the weather was yet again lovely. Just right for caching although it did warm up along the way. Sorry for the generic logs.
Bit of a search here before coming up with the goods. Gets fav point too.

With the Canberra Day Long Weekend upon us, the FFLL ladies and I usually take off towards SA or the likes for some caching, however with the unpredictability of COVID on the borders, we decided we would try for something a little closer to home. We decided that we would come down and have a crack at the VB trail around Eden and Merimbula. It was a great weekend away with both the FFLL ladies and it was nice to see the ocean and get some sun on our faces.
Time for day 3 out and about. Not so quick on this one but we got there eventually lol ️Cache found, ️ signed and ️ replaced.
Thanks for the cache placement dghoffy and thanks for the wonderful weekend away FFLL ladies Always enjoyable and always something to look forward to.

The last cache on the trip back from Wyndham. As expected another fine bit of work.
No chance of skool chids interrupting me search here today
Unless they were playing Hooky
But after a wander around GZ,
there were scant cache hiding opportunities [:o]
So what does the clue mean ??
I mused over a can of fizzy 'thinking' cola for a while,
while staring at GZ intently.
Hang on a mo' !!
There's something screwy about this place [:o]
And in my long caching experience ...
.. if something looks a bit screwy ...
... it's always the cache
Gotcha !!
That's just damn sneaky
Have a fave dance on me [^]

I visited this cache in the company of IamCoust, who had looked for this one before but was now back armed with a hint.
Unfortunately even the hint was enough and we left empty handed. Oh well.

DNF yesterday, in part due to the nearby presence of muggles which hindered our search. Today the area was deserted and after inspecting a couple of likely spots, happened on the correct one. Fabulous creative hide and well worth a FP. TFTC dghoffy
Obviously going to be a tough one to spot based on previous logs. There were 3 vehicles parked close by awaiting the school bus so we just had a perfunctory search and quickly moved on. Another time.
What a great series. Good caches and awesome scenery. This was one we found. Fav point alloc. Our thanks to dghoffy for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Found with gwd.aussie.
This series is one of our main aims while holidaying in the area. We headed out with no idea how much of the series we will get to in one day.
Thankfully gwd.aussie thought outside the square to find this good hide.

Day 3 of our variety bash along the back roads saw us start out near Wyndham and finish the loop back near Pambula. Today was hot, hot and more hot. We took our time with these finds so as not to suck too much energy out of us.....probably a bit late for me.
Surprisingly I had my square thinking on and found this one within about a minute. Sneaky!

19,958. Found with minniek as we completed the wonderful VB series.
With 30-odd caches left in the VB series we headed out today to try to find them. Once again we were not disappointed in the high quality of the caches. All were found pretty quickly and in good condition. This was an excellent cache - and very happy minniek came up with the find nice and quickly. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and headed off to the next one.
Thanks dghoffy !!

My favourite cache for the morning. Favourite point. My sensors zeroed right in here pronto. A really nice hide I was pleased to find quickly.

Day nine of Xmas in Eden with BettyBoo3747.
A late start just to finish off the VB trail. Back home for lunch and a swim.
Excellent hide. I would like to say I found this one, but it was BB who came up with the goods.
Thanks, Robmc.

Today is the 2nd day of our 4 day Cup weekend and mini road trip. Last night we stayed at a farm stay at Wyndham overnight.
This was a great cache to finish the morning on. Definitely a favourite. Now we are going to spend some relaxing time with friends in this lovely NSW weather.
Thank you for your cache and adding to our road trip memories.
Apologies for the late logs.

I come this way quite often for work and this new VB trail is a must to do.
Knowing the types of hides Dghoffy does, I was looking forward to it.
I worked my way down to Eden and will continue tomorrow for the rest of the VB.
Once again a great efforts has been executed with the variety and clever hides. TFTC

Having completed most of the Sapphire Surprise Tour caches it was decided, along with ilook4geo, that we should also try the Variety Bash series. We found this to be another fun series and found so many interesting caches.
As before, the nearby safe parking places were much appreciated, the titles were well chosen and the camo of so many caches was well done. All caches found today had their logs signed and were put back as they had been found. This cache was really well made and fitted into its environment well too.
Thank you, dghoffy, for placing this fun series of caches. Well done!

Came along today with goingplaces2 to make a start on this VB series. We really enjoyed the day as so many of the caches were a lot of fun. Good camo used, names were relevant. All logs signed. TFTC.
Third day of my far south coast road trip. A start in Eden today with some numbers in the VB series before slowly working my way north again. Again good quality caches all day, thanks for that. Best bus stop cache i have seen

*FTF* with Tankengine, Aquilus1 and AddictedGamer.
When the Canberra Community saw these caches come out it caused a bit of a stir. But some of the ones were already being found and so there was no more thought about them. Until it was noticed that there were a few still up for grabs.
We had a good crew - Tankengine was our driver, Aquilus1 was our chef and AddictedGamer reminded us when we past a cache and I was just great company to have around ; )
A plan was hatched and we packed an overnight bag each and headed to Youban's for the night. This had us just that little bit closer in the morning to start our adventure.
The day was long, but fruitful with a great trail from the COs. I liked many of these caches for different reasons, but I loved that there was easy parking at all of them and we went the direction recommended in the listing which was perfect. I can see why this was named VB! We had a lot of fun moments and with all being quick to find it didn't take us long to finish the trail, however we left the ones that had already been found so that we can come another time and spend the weekend picking them up. Awesome work as always and tftcs dghoffy!!!
This cache: I REALLY liked this one! Very well done indeed!

*FTF* With dty73, Tankengine and Addicted Gamer. We were aware that this trail of caches had been published and perhaps a bit surprised that most of them sat waiting for a find for so long, but then it took us some time before we could coordinate ourselves to be free to go down there to find them ourselves.
Friday afternoon and they were still free so a hurried packing after work and we made the wet and foggy drive down to the coast where we had waiting accommodations thanks to Youban.
With a closer than home start to the day we were organised well for a good start, taking note of the clock wise direction we drove right around and headed off in the direction that had us parking in good locations for all the caches.
A good and sunny day with 62 FTF's but the highlight was the quality and variety of the caches we found. All very unique and a lot of effort has gone into putting out this trail. This is NOT a power trail and we thoroughly enjoyed our leisurely pace as we went about enjoying each location and cache.
Thanks for the trail and this cache dghoffy, so much effort and attention to detail made for a great caching day in this lovely location. Looking forward to returning for the ones we didn't get time for this trip.
THIS CACHE: FP Great hide very well done! Loved it!

Chooo ooo [FTF] - with dty73, Aquilus1 and AddictedGamer. Being a long weekend, we decided we could venture a little further afield to collect some caches, and all these FTFs down here on the Victorian Border (that is what I thought VB stood for ) were calling! So down the coast we went! We started on this trail bright and early, concentrating on the unfound ones! We knew we didn't have enough time to do the whole trail but were happy to clean up on the FTFs! We will have to come down another day to finish this off!
This was a fun trail! Yes, lots of variety in the caches – that’s for sure, just to keep us on the ball! And we certainly got some laughs at some of them! We were happy to see that we made good progress along the way, no really long searches, and certainly no DNFs - got to be happy with that! Clearly a lot of work has gone into this series, so thanks for the fun dghoffy, and thanks for the company dty73, Aquilus1 and AddictedGamer. - I for one certainly had a great time!
This one took a little while - but not too long before dty73 mand the cool discovery! A favourite from me!
