We were very exited to go on a geocash journey we went to different spots had no luck this spot took a bit to find it was over a fence in a little container it was wet and damp to write in book as our last geocash spot for the day were happy to find it
All on pace. Travel bug still there. Logbook very damp could do with a tune up. Nice wee place I would never have come to.
The dew was still on the ground when we got to this one, nice park with plenty to do, there wasnt any freedom campers when we came. Quickly located the cache and took the TB for a ride. TFTC
We have driven past many times and had no idea this reserve was here until we noticed this cache. What a peaceful little haven. We drove past the squash club and parked near the croquet club where there were a few games in progress. The club members briefly looked up to see who had arrived but when they saw it was us and not another player they moved their attention back to what they were doing and we headed off towards GZ.We enjoyed exploring the park before heading over to GZ where we soon had the cache in hand. Once the log was signed and the cache returned we headed back to the car and noticed a rather curious circle on a patch of grass behind a tree. Its difficult to say what caused it but being circular in shape it made us think of a UFO. And what better place for aliens to land unnoticed than this secluded little park? Who really knows, but we are sure that "The Truth Is Out There". Once back at the car we were about to head off when we realised our umbrella was missing so it was a quick dash back to GZ where we found it lying in the grass. Whew, it was lucky we remembered as we needed it later in the day. Thanks willbuild for this memorable cache.
Very quiet little spot, some birds chirping and cicadas buzzing. Found the cache in a shady spot after a little bit of searching. Tftc
Took a little bit of hunting to find this one. But eventually found after jumping the fence
Nice quick find once eyes accustomed to cover and camouflage. Trackable lifted and ready for travel. TFTC
Our 2nd cache of the day ... what a beautiful area ... just lovely, with a few people playing croquet too. Dropped trackable: Unicorn
What a great little park. Good place for a cache as it's not too busy for a leisurely look. Cache is all good. TFTC
#989 - Girls trip to get as many caches in Katikati area. Grass really wet, but found it coords spot on.
Out a day of adventures with katbowersnz getting them all in Katikati. Wet feet but right on where it should be
Wow, had no clue this park was even here! Were congratulated with the find by 2 very cute fantails, we made sure to kick up as many bugs for them as possible. Thanks for bringing us here.
Wir haben ihn gefunden nehmen ihn nach Auckland mit, vielleicht kann er ja dieses Jahr Richtung Deutschland fliegen
Beautiful little area and a nice quick find. Dropped a TB and took TB. TFTC
Heading north for the school holidays. Stopped in Katikati for a couple of caches. A well hidden reserve which we may consider staying at next time. Cache all fine. Have dropped a TB. Thanks.
Headed over this way to clear a few non-smilies off the map with Cats&Dragons. The plan was to start in Waihi and head South along the coast and see how far we can get before our other halves call and tell us to head home. To make the most of this a 4am start was on the cards to cram as much caching in as possible.
GPS was taking us one a weird tangent to this cache, but trusted the logically spot and got the find.

Headed over here with HKCB for a clean up of the area an the chance to work our way south along the coast collecting what we can.
Departed home at 4am on a clear morning and hoping the day stays that way.
Heading south now and a great opportunity for the day to improve as we now have daylight to help us. Nice little collection of caches along here, as there are deffinatly more than I remember in this area. think this is about the most luck that I have ever had at finding caches in Katikati
Well now that we are all in lockdown its a chance to catch up on the logging that I have been dutifully ignoring for the past several months. Thanks to all the cache owners that placed these out there
Thanks for the cache, thanks for the placement

With Gap (of Fap and Gap) and nieces... We have revised and updated our Caching Hit List for 2020 - This is a collection of hides we really want to tackle while we have summer holidays and Daylight Saving... Our plan is to incorporate at least some of these caches into our adventures. Our big Hit List target for today was to tackle the NTA Trail at Aongatete. However, Gap had some commitments around town which meant a small tweak to the plan - Instead of a morning walk, let's do it this afternoon...
A couple of vehicles were parked nearby, so we approached this hide quickly. No problems getting in and out with this straightforward find. Thanks willbuild and TFTC.

Nice quick find in a quiet reserve today. First one for 2020 for young girls!
A day out clearing some new caches in the area. Overthought this to start with then retraced my steps for quick find.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Just dropped the youngest at their friend's for a play date and saw the reserve tucked away... There must be a cache here... Log on, have a look, 2 minutes later I'm logging the cache. Tftc!
On a trip with Hairy (KayGeeDee) to get some caches. Nice spot and no one about today tftc
On this side of town with a few hours to kill and I spotted a couple of stray caches in need of smileys. This cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placement. Judging by the log book I wasn’t the only one out and about today and from memory I think Ive even cached here before. Cheers & TFTC
Nice easy find thank goodness!
Seem to be following in the footsteps of Happy Bogan and Dot today!.
Thanks so much willbuild for these new caches to come down here and find.
I have definitely been to Hunters Reserve in the past.
Pleasant spot.

We had a free day so came over to Katikati to walk some of the local tracks and of cause check out any new caches on the way, Thanks for this cache.??
The satnav had us well out but I quickly remembered this reserve. Followed the GPS but initially couldn't spot the cache. Looked more carefully and there it was. TFTC.
Find number 6167. I had a morning free so came to get some caches in this area with the possibility of a FTF. FTF achieved so had time to stop for this one. I remember coming for a cache here before. In a similar area. GPS took me straight to GZ and cache was quickly found. Signed and returned. Thank you for the placement.

This did turn out to be a hunt too! We were out this way yesterday with young grandson. Eternally hopeful, I hoped that a new cache would be published while we were in the area, but no of course not. Today we planned to be in Auckland by lunchtime. Mmmm..it seems to be close to that time anyway. Oh well we may as well stop in for this cache on the way. Neither of us could get closer than 9 meters on our gps so we hunted in all the potential places. No luck. Spread out further and further, and further. Looked on satellite and, given the T rating realised it couldn't be there- so where? After reaching out to the CO, the cache was finally located in a sensible spot but a long way from where we had been looking. CO has now corrected one digit to get the right coordinates. Glad we weren't in a hurry lol. As we brought out second home with us we could now enjoy lunch in Katikati and not Auckland. Thanks for the placement Willbuild- and I'm glad that you are finding new places for us to visit. {FTF} Joint.
