A very cool micro cache that ended up being the favourite of the little one for the day. TFTC!!
Very funny, I like it. GPS seemed to pull me the wrong way, but then turned around and spotted it, have a FP, cheers
Not what I was expecting but certainly fits the description. Great cache and I do like these that are off the beaten track. Thanks.
25 June 2023 10:53 am. Walking the side road and going in at the closest point is definitely the way to go!
Loved the sense of humor 8ManAfter (and BostonBrewins). Another FP from me.

Today I got up early and hit the road to see how many caches I could find between Christchurch and Springfield. The weather was quite good, not too hot and not too cold. I really enjoyed my time exploring the back roads of Canterbury. This was the second cache I found in the forest. It was definitely not what I was expecting but did remind me of one other cache that I have found like this. Took me longer to find than it should have done though. TFTC, Biggles.
Loved this one so much, was our first day of caching ever and what an inventive hide! Thanks
Caching with Little Horrible we've signed the Log Books as 'Little Wombles'..Love this one AND not what we expected Deserves a Favorite from us TFTH
Awesome cache, wasn't sure about where we were being lead at first. Thanks for the cache and the adventure
This one took me a bit longer to find than I had expected but that's often the way it goes when searching through a forest. Great camo and well crafted although it almost gave me a zap loved it ... Thanks 8ManAfter, have a favourite point.
Out with the kids on a hot, northwest day. Found all 10 caches in this area so a good haul.
The first cache of the day, what a great cache that was. Need to ring a sparkie though, I think a fuse is blown somewhere. Cheers, dropped 3 TB and took 1
Had trouble trying to find this "Micro".....but after standing still and doing a sweep of all the possible "Micros" it could be.....I spied something outta the ordinary.....Found my first Trackable (Whoop Whoop!!!!)........This one defeinately get a Fav point from me......Thanx for an AWESOME Cache!!!!!

Found on a dog walk.
Micro in the woods! This one definitely took me by surprise! Wow, caches like these really remind me how cool geocaching can be! Everybody loves hunting micros in the woods, right!? Hell, this should have been a nano! ;D
I think I chose the wrong side for approach, so long way throught the young pine trees.
IN - TB
Kia ora! Paldies!
TFTC, 8ManAfter (and BostonBrewins)! +Fav!

Omg!! Thought we were way off track, what a cache!!! All I can imagin is someone walking through the forest with that!!!
It was fitting that this was our final cache of our walk. We made a big loop around the forest and found the other caches. Now to this one. The dogs were exhausted after running around looking for rabbits, so we questioned whether we should go for this one or not since we didn't see any direct route to GZ. We split up, with Choco taking the path and me bushbashing, sort of. When I got to GZ it was more than just joy I felt. Definitely worth the effort.
We wondered where the GPS was taking us and very happy to find this micro in the woods. Container is nice and dry.
Brilliant. An FP definitely deserved here. Thanks for the wonderful cache, 8ManAfter.

Found with StreetWalkerNZ on lunchtime foray to Mcleans Island on a damp, miserable winters day. We both needed cache finds today for a calendar day, I needed 5, and he needed 3 so Mcleans Island was chosen as he had 3 unfound ones here, and I had 6.
There wasn't much drizzle on this section of the walk. We parked as close to the cache as possible (no horsey types here today) and so didn't take long to walk to GZ. I had a fair idea of what I would find here as we had found a Micro on Rabbit Island a few years ago, and I was not disappointed. Nicely done .
Darn, forgot to look for the TB, sorry. TFTC.

#18364. We stuck to the 4WD tracks until we reached the closest point to GZ. We'd hoped to find a bit of a track to take us to GZ, but in the end had to go cross country. Travel wasn't too hard and we were soon at GZ. Loved the outer container (the plug is a nice touch!). TFTC.

Found with NZDi. We were down here in Canterbury for the third time since September for follow-up treatment on NZDi's ongoing health issues. The specialist appointment was yesterday and after some big city retail therapy this morning, we allocated some time for a bit of geocaching this afternoon.
We chose the McLeans Island horse riding area as it had a good looking circuit which would not tax NZDi too much. Funnily enough the only horse we saw was being put into it's float at the end of a ride. Other than ourselves, the predominant users of the track appeared to be women walking their dogs or pushing their babies in buggies, and in a couple of case doing both.
This was our eighth find of the afternoon and was a bit of a bush bash to GZ with some tricky footing. We were a bit apprehensive looking for a micro in the woods but surprisingly found the cache reasonable easy. Despite being a micro there was sufficient space to drop one of the smaller TBs in the collection we've been carrying around for a while. Nice camo and the only non Kiwi864 we found this afternoon, worthy of another FP.
Logs were signed with the date and our caching names in full where the space allowed or the date and KM & ND where space was limited.

Came out with a friend, Isaacss as they had to see this awesome cache. Plus, dropped off a trackable.
Bush bashed our way to GZ then wondered how we were ever going to find a micro in all these trees! As luck would have it, I turned round and there it was, staring right back at me. Great cache! Gets a favourite from us. TFTC.
We bushbashed our way to this cache and I spotted it first. I must have had a huge grin on my face when I said to Busypaws that I can see it. Loved it. Best micro cache that I have ever found.
This was a subject of do we or don't we? 2 grey haired females needing to bush bash and then get back to a formed path. Well, decision made and compass available for return trek, we got there and a LOL moment when the micro cache was spied. incredibly turned on ready to go!! Well done for giving us a laugh and a Fav.
Outstanding....
I've been spending a bit of time in the big city recently which is enabling me to get my numbers up...set myself a target of 100 a month and this one was to be #100...
Couldn't have picked a better cache (just by chance)...
Had a feeling I knew what it "wasn't"going to be...
That came as a nice surprise ,made it harder by coming in from the other direction..
Would have been fun to see the Co bring that past all the horse folk!!! No question this get a fav great job fellas..

I am keeping my exercise streek up. What better way to do it than searching for micros in the woods. My poor head was spinning looking for this one. Thanks 8ManAfter (and BostonBrewins) for placing this geocache it is find 8139 for me.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

Just, wow!!!! Trekking through the woods, expecting to be in for the long search, but not so. Made us laugh, made us smile. This has to be the best yet, more than deserving of a FP. Did take some photos to show the family, but not for sharing here. Thank you so much for this cache, what a highlight.
This was no. 10 in our 24 caches in 24hrs attempt.

Found on New Years' Day with Trifolia Argentea. This one is really impressive - I love the detail of the powerpoint! Excellent work 8ManAfter and BostonBrewins. TA collected some trackables from this cache, and some will go with me back to Australia in a few days (because maybe they didn't get enough taste of smoke and heat here!)
Thanks for the cache!

Found on a New Year's Day caching walk in West Melton Forest with Ilmari_the_Red. We bush-bashed part of the way from [GC81VR2 Local Boy Chops Wood](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC81VR2). Well, this is a superbly crafted cache. Another well-deserved favourite point from us. We grabbed 4 TBs - but mysteriously one, [Chip](https://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?guid=9edde7f2-37eb-46b8-abc6-eaf6ffa8b65b) was listed as missing until we logged it, while another of the TBs, [Cache Across America 22 U.S. Flag Micro Geocoin](https://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?guid=07a9cf62-9f1e-4579-abcb-0082550ea8bb) was not there - unless we overlooked it, maybe the wrong trackable drop was logged by the CO. TFTC, 8ManAfter!
Ah, the dreaded micro in the woods.
I suspected what I would find at GZ as this is not my first find of this type, but that is very well done. Nice detail. I wish I could say more. How can you not give this a FP? TFTC 8manafter.
Today I was at McLeans island, mainly because there are a series of dog walk friendly caches here and my main job while here is keeping my sister’s dog with me at all times.
So Jed the reluctant geo-terrier was along for the ride, and I think he appreciated the flat nature of the terrain today. It took us almost 2 hours to saunter through the caches in the area by which time my other sister gave me a call, on cue, and my priorities for the day changed.
But a very successful walk, in that all caches were found and in good condition, so thanks all COs, especially Kiwi864.

Found it. What can I say - amazing cache. Thanks for really going to the effort. Awesome
What a great cache. Well worth a fav point. Haven't walked in this area before
I took my bike for a ride in this forest area mid-afternoon with the hope of picking up at least six caches. As it turned out, I located 15 of the 16 I looked for. It’s a great setting here, providing a very enjoyable and rewarding outing!
Wasn’t sure where the best “point of entry” was for this one. I left the track with the GPSr indicating GZ was about 40m away. Fortunately it wasn’t too difficult making my way through the trees until the cache suddenly appeared in view! Well done on the effort that’s gone into this hide! #2907. TFTC.

You cooked up a good one here! Crashing thru the plantation behind Karma Reprint on a hot day, I lost my enthusiasm. Surely the only possible outcome to this trip would be some Christmas tree rustling? Nah, that also would have been hard work with only KRs multitool to use. I'd better put up and shut up. Plod, plod ah, haha! Awesome. Tftc
A nice quick find today with Ms_KR. Picking a pathway was the hardest part. Cheers.
Time to finish off the new set of Smurfs today. The weather was just right for a few Park and Grabs.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

Superb container great camouflage blends in perfectly and was much easier to find than I was expecting. As I approached I thought was it that nearby an then I knew. TFTH FP from me.
After a morning watching replays of the Sydney Rugby League 9's and performing some household chores I felt that I deserved a reward - possibly a hike up Mt Herbert or a cyclocache ride somewhere. Oh, what's that in my email inbox? "A Micro in the Woods' cache new from 8ManAfter. Out McLeans Island way! Well, that decides it. A cyclocache ride it will be starting from McLeans Island, and I'll extend the ride a little further by riding up to West Melton and sign off that 8ManAfter puzzle OTNE cache that I had recently finally solved after so many years.
After riding up the MTB tracks from McLeans, ducking my rather heavy ebike under some forestry gates, dodging many clumps of horse poo on the tracks I found myselfl about 40m from GZ. With no chance to ride any closer, I braved getting scragged by the flora. Made GZ with only 1 hydraulic leak. [^] The administration duties were soon completed. Not surprisingly I found I was 2TF - TG had beaten me by 1hr 40 mins - and I was then free to head off to my next target. Thanks for the Micro in the Woods. 8ManAfter.

This looked a little charmer so put off chasing some of Jude's TMGTs and went to find this. After all we knew the area after finding most of previous caches in the immediate area. Were we in for a surprise!!!----- Access was the biggie for us oldies but made it and was very surprised at the find. Waited patiently for the BING and then dealt with a rather special cache. Thank you.
