*Another big geocaching trip to Australia with woolwood9.*
Our main focus was on the "On Your Bike" Wherigo series, which we really enjoyed.
Biggest disappointment was solving all the Paddle Steamer puzzles, then driving within 4km of them before finding the roads all completely turned to sticky slush and unusable!

*We visited many other good caches and other trails on our trip and had a lot of fun!*
**Really appreciate the effort put into this cache.**

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. It is a wonderful day. albeit cold, windy and rainy with patches of sun. Just perfect for geocaching.

We are enjoying our time travelling SA. Fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs & wine. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.

The forecast temperature today was listed as reaching 39 degrees so we planned our cacheing day around spending maxium time in the A/C in the car and minium time out walking trails. Today it was fantastic that we did not find that we needed to renew any cache containers or log books/sheets. Well done everyone. All the caches we targeted today were found to be in good order.
There was, of course, the mandatory flies and dust and more dust and more flies, we can live with this as we have the technology to deal with the flies and dust.
We did encounter roads that we have never travelled on before and were very surprised when we came across a water way at Bugle Hut that had at least 300 swans on it. We traveled down a road that had the strangest collection of items attached to the trees, there was fans, lamps, boom box, frypan, stuffed toys, CD's with red reflectors, asstd computers bits - monitor keyboard etc. It felt like every road had an old house on it. We saw house's where the lawns were so green while all the land around them were as brown as can be.

Out with Mattycat for a caching trip to the riverland for the day, with temperatures 40 C we decided to pick some easier caches that didnt involve walking to far and keeping cool in the geomobile. With Loxton our starting point we head east to the Border even crossed the border for a few in the park before thunderstorms ended the day. Another old cemetery, had a quick look before finding the cache, all good found in good condition

Nothing like the lure of a 40 degree day out there to make us want to go caching!

Actually every day we want to go caching Wink

So took off with Mr froghoppin for some "east of Loxton" caching. Got a bit sidetracked and made a small incursion into Mexico along the way Big GrinRazz

Altogether a great day finding caches, mostly that were within reach of the airconditioned catmobile, and dodging any sign of people and their bugs along the way [:o)]

A friend from work moved up to work at Loxton and lived in Taplan for a while. I really wondered if it was the busy shops or wild nightlife that attracted her here... still wondering, and she's moved closer to the city now! [:o)]

Appreciation goes to crane2 for placing and maintaining this cache on our geo game map Cool

---

Searching around every day finding and signing using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck WinkCoolBig Grin Quite a lot of that actually!!!
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK of course.*

---

Please do stay as safe as possible when caching.
Keep a lookout for bogs, snakes, surprise cliffs, boxing roos, wombats, bulldust, and floods,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs from alpha to omega !!! . [xx(]

Try to keep Travel Bugs as the only bugs you share and pass on Big Grin
Now our borders are open - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!!

Much appreciation of all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting Cool

3rd cemetery cache for the day. quick find.
Out with the Mogni for a short trip out to the riverland, only 3 days. It was hot first 2 days where 40 degrees and the last day was 33 degrees. Since the rules just changed about covid 19 testing before and after entering vic to no testing, we changed our plans on the way up and decided to go via Murray Sunset National Park. The idea was to find as many caches as we could that haven't been found recently most hadn't been found in 3 months. On day 1 we replaced 10 out of the first 12 caches, all broken container and 1 log book replaced, and by the end of the day had a heaped medium bin liner bag full of broken containers, the hot mallee sun doesn't do the plastic containers any good. Day 2 saw us caching around Loch Luna and lake Bonney which is way easier driving around here in the dry then in the rain like my last visit here. Onlt 1/2 a medium bin liners back of replaced containers today, people must fix the closer to the highway caches more often. On day 3 it was back in to the mallee country and home via Pinnaroo. Getting those " out of the way caches ". Plenty of dirt roads where driven down and many, many back sandy tracks taken. It was good to explore all the country areas and stay off the highway.

Sir_spectre and I had a quick getaway to the Riverland. We were targetting the less found caches. We found an assortment of caches, and as regular for us manged to replace containers for several and put some fresh logbooks in others. It was a rather hot weather for a weekend of caching but the air conditioned car gave us some relief.
Thanks to crane2 from mogni Smile

As I am getting older and running out of time, I have decided I will take off on my own to cache in different areas of our vast country as my NGW (Non Geocaching Wife) has no interest in caching.
I have been up to Loxton for five days of full on caching with suscoe, au.fait and Phetlern and still have so many caches to log.
Heading east of Loxton with the crew we found this guy. Ross tells me that we travelled at least 250 km today.
I am afraid that for the next few days my logs are going to be a lot of cutting and pasting but that does not take away the effort that the owners have put in to provide these caches for us to find so please accept my thanks. With close to 200 caches placed I know how much work is involved with not only placing them but the ongoing maintenance.
Thanks, crane2 for placing this cache.

Another great day of caching, with Bushfire, au.fait & Suscoe, in the Riverland - between Loxton and that infamous border! The expanse of the farmland is amazing the ruins dotted along the roadsides adding interesting snap shots of local history.

Our thanks to 'crane2' for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

Suscoe headed out this morning in the terrific company of au.fait, Phetlern and Bushfire for a caching adventure to the east of Loxton.
It was a warm morning which turned into a farily hot afternoon.
We travelled around 250 kms and found a lovely range of caches in some interesting locations.
The roads were fairly quiet but we did pass quite a few shingle back lizards, who were making their way across the roads that we travelled along.

Thanks to crane2 for this hide, we have been enjoying your hides as we have wandered around the roads of this area.

A fairly warm to hot day with much driving in the area to the East of Loxton. The caches were fairly widely spaced but the excellent company of Phetlern, suscoe and Bushfire made for a very enjoyable day. Another quick find on this not quite abandoned place TFTC crane2
