It's a beautiful spring day and the deadly treadlies need some dusting off. TNLN SL TFTCSubmitted via Garmin Live Geocaching
Trying to do this section of trail and that will leave only ones I couldn't find for next tripThanks for the trail
We packed the ebikes and headed to the big smoke for a couple of days. While Mr Morris conducted some business, Lady Morris joined the CO and hit the trails. Despite the smells, the blunt pencils and all the works going on - it was a great morning's ride. Thanks for adding the trail Robmc
Spent the morning with Chewinprickes on our deadly treadlies completing a maintenance run on the FT and KCT trails. All caches are now in good condition and ready to be found. Not sure where this one ended up!It is now replaced with a different hide, description and hint altered.Robmc.
Had a nice day traversing parts of my old stamping ground, and reliving memories fast dissapearing into the past. Took a moment to realize what the name refered to. Thanks Robmc
Easy find, TFTC. Like the previous cacher, this one had fallen down too. Ive put it up on a fork in the tree but wind may blow it down. The grass is quite long surrounding the tree so CO may need to do some maintenance. Another nearby cache also has a very wet logbook that needs maintenance too.
I think its fallen down from where it should be kept. Found it on the second attempt.
The weather looked like it was going to be nice to us today so it was decided to head to the other side of town. We encountered a couple of snakes but they weren't interested in us and slithered off home. Most finds were made although we did have to leave a couple and search for them on the way back and a couple of others seem to be missing. We got a little bamboozled with the tracks but it was a lovely day to be out and about. Thanks for placing all these caches for us to find.
It was a lovely day for a scooter ride! I encountered tiger snakes on the path twice in different locations, and I had to swerve my scooter to avoid them quickly. Thankfully, I narrowly missed them! I ended up with a pretty bad sunburn by the end of the day. Robmc, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area.
I made my way back to this pathway on an overcast afternoon, beginning from where I left off when I was out here last weekend. During my previous visit, I only made it as far as The NEW Bridge. Today, I parked my vehicle near Little Boundary Road and began walking down the trail to begin with this cache. As I approached GZ, the nearby mountain was indeed glistening during the brief moments the sun shone through the clouds. I managed to find the cache itself fairly quickly, however, I'm not entirely certain if CO intended on this exact location. I opened the cache to sign the logbook. The plastic bag protecting the log has a decent sized hole in it, but fortunately, the log book itself is perfectly fine.TFTC
Going for a nice ride around federation trail today trying to complete the smileys around home. TFTC
I found this cache today on my 35,000 step walk from Sunshine to Laverton via the Kororoit Creek Trail and the Federation Trail. Passed the 3rd of the old PTPP caches on route to this one. Thanks from D B-A
Out and about with My good caching mate Omegaman1971, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles.
This is one of the caches found today.
Thanks Robmc for the cache.

Have had my eyes on the Federation Trail series of caches for a while so was grateful for the caching opportunity that presented itself today. With SpursNorth in company, we started on Fitzgerald Road and finished the day at Altona Gate shopping centre for a well deserved snack before heading home.
A blustery but mostly pleasant Friday afternoon minus the intermittent unbearable stench along the trail. With thanks to Robmc for placing and maintaining a variety of caches.

Out for the day geocaching with my brother Ketchthor. Some good spots threw out the day and no DNFs which was amazing. TFTC
Certainly is a shiny mountain… so many warehousing around here and industry, although not nice to walk through, it’s good to see. Thanks Robmc for placing this cache and contributing to this great game. Happy trails, Deanside
Out for a few hours with Deanside, started on this trail and then went further afield. Another day of sunshine, good finds and lots of laughs. What a huge mound of metal, can't work out what it is for.
We were happily reflecting on how flat the trail had been so far as we try to get some k's in our legs - thrn we saw what was up ahead!! Spoke too soon.
Needed to wait out a few bike riders before retrieving, signing and replacing the cache and tackling the bridge!!

I've been here before...a long time ago....and although today was sunny I didn't think the shiny mountain was as sparkly this time round. Maybe my glasses just need cleaning. TFTC and the walk.
Heading East we only had to peddle once coming down that bridge with a tailwind to get to this cache. Whilst it wasn't as shiny in today's light, we did spot a rat who was surprised to see us in this location and went back to its nest underneath the fence. TFTC
So last night I called up BackPAQer and like you do.. I said lets go find some caches...
so after some debate on which trail we would tackle we decided to FT and KCT track.
So early morning start with two scooter and BackPAQer and myself hit the trails.
Hot day for it considering it is spring.. 33C out there today..
Day started badly with two Did Not Finds in the first three...
But we ended up with 27 Finds and 7 Did Not Finds and picked up a trackable
It was a fun day out and even managed a great lunch and a pint in Yarraville to break up the day.
Thanks to RobMC for the trail. Sorry for the generic logs
Thanks for the cache and the hide
log book has been signed and returned

This part of this trail has been sitting there on the map looking at my every time I look at it, so today I decided to finally head across the painful bridge to see if I could find them.
This one was spotted quickly but you have to be quick and watch out for the bomb's from above, one just missed me as I went to retrieve the log.
**Thanks to Robmc for placing this cache.**

Knowing I had a trip out here for work I put the scooter in the car for this trail after work. Plenty of smells out here with the various factories around.
Another quick find here.
Thanks to Robmc for the fun and the adventure.

I'd spent the day yesterday at the Grand Final.
I left the car in the CBD.
So back I went on the treddly to pick it up.
Great morning for a ride and some smiley's.
Always amazed at the piles around here.
They don't seem to alter.

It has been a while with all the cold rainy winter weekends that we have gone a scooter ride but my smallest geokid and I headed out today to this trail. The weather was almost perfect and there was a small section I needed to revisit to avenge a couple DNF's I had a while ago as well. There were quite a few "interesting" smells emanating from some of the industrial areas.
Geokid spotted this one while parking the scooter.
Thanks Robmc for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

I'm glad I found the cache so quickly... didn't want Tamatoa crawling over the mountain to eat me.
Thanks heaps, Robmc.

Not sure if shiny mountain is the power line or if shiny mountain is the mound of minerals. Either way cute cache! Cam 4 - Steph 3
A five km walk to finish the day, and this series.
Started under the bridge and headed to The Shiny Mountain first of all.
A well camouflaged cache hidden in plain sight.
This put a smile on my face and my account.
Thanks Robmc.

Today's 'brief' stint was an 18km (we thought it would be about 10) walk which took us nearly 5 hrs, along a bike track, my bike is currently in pieces.
Not much shade through here.

Found with ilukaperi on a short day stint in Melbourne's western suburbs.
I don't remember this one, but as its on my list of found caches for the day, I found it.

Maintenance run today along the Federation Trail.
Replaced containner, log and rehid in a new spot. Same co-ordinates.
Now ready to be found.

I'm logging using photo proof. The log book is moldy given the container has no lid.
Might be worth a bit of maintenance.

Out and about with echidna44 and au_fait for the day doing the bike trail here. We left one car at one end and one at the other. Enjoyed good company, weather excellent and mostly success. Nice easy find here but the smell was overwhelming. Glad to move on. Cache in excellent condition. Thanks for the journey Robmc
Out with au.fait & xambo4u, we were doing the FT trail and part of the KCT trail. We had a great day with lots of talk and laughter. Very smelly here, wish the wind would blow the other way . Thanks Robmc.
Out today in the excellent company of echidna44 and xambo4u on an overcast but fine day. Just perfect for doing a length of the Federation Trail. A quick find here just where we expected TFTC Robmc

Slowly working our way along the Federation Trail series, HerIndoorsOutdoors and I picked this one up today. Not being much by way of bicyclists, it was a stop and walk to GZ effort today. The mountain was shiny today with all the bright sunshine.
The find was quick, in part thanks to the cache being uncovered - probably thanks to all the high winds and heavy rain recently. We presumed it was where it belonged, so replaced it where we found it and did our best to cover it up so it wasn't quite so obvious. We weren't particularly optimistic about the cover staying in place beyond the next strong wind.
Otherwise, the cache is in good condition.

RGSBruce and I were taking the long way to the shops today, with a view to making this caching year start to look better. We had a plan A for the Federation Trail today that might have got us three finds, but should have looked at the satellite view of the map before assuming we could access the trail from the point we had chosen. So, it was plan B and only one find today.

Suscoe's last find for this morning.
With an appointment on the other side of the city it was time to head back to the car.
Thankful for a quick find here today.
This has been a nice introduction to this section of the Federation Trail.
Suscoe will head back here soon enough to continue the journey, maybe from the other end next time.
Thanks Robmc for this trail.

They were removing some of the mountain into large bulk trailers, so maybe the price has finally risen! T4TC
Well, it’s a lot quieter here than the last time we past when there was work going on and the mountain was still growing.
Who knows where all the hard plastic goes to now?

Nice easy find. Back to new bridge to try find it. Thanks the caches. Almost completed this series.
Happy New Year!
The chance to get out early and walk today along this trail was very tempting. All caches were found without trouble. I enjoyed the sights and the path.
