It's a beautiful spring day and the deadly treadlies need some dusting off. Already have the ute, so just the cache for us today.TNLN SL TFTCSubmitted via Garmin Live Geocaching
Needed to find a cache today for our Finds by Found Date calendar, so headed here after attending a funeral at Altona North Memorial. We had already tried two other caches in the area with no luck, but it was third cache lucky this time around. TFTC Robmc
Another must need month for my ausmer, oct 2019 has been difficult for me to get after multiple dnfs so I went up from Geelong and finally got it off my listThanks for the adventure
We packed the ebikes and headed to the big smoke for a couple of days. While Mr Morris conducted some business, Lady Morris joined the CO and hit the trails. Despite the smells, the blunt pencils and all the works going on - it was a great morning's ride. Thanks for adding the trail Robmc
Spent the morning with Chewinprickes on our deadly treadlies completing a maintenance run on the FT and KCT trails. All caches are now in good condition and ready to be found.Robmc.
Had a nice day traversing parts of my old stamping ground, and reliving memories fast dissapearing into the past.Refering to the name --Simple answer yes, or of courseThanks Robmc
The weather looked like it was going to be nice to us today so it was decided to head to the other side of town. We encountered a couple of snakes but they weren't interested in us and slithered off home. Most finds were made although we did have to leave a couple and search for them on the way back and a couple of others seem to be missing. We got a little bamboozled with the tracks but it was a lovely day to be out and about. Thanks for placing all these caches for us to find.
It was a lovely day for a scooter ride! I encountered tiger snakes on the path twice in different locations, and I had to swerve my scooter to avoid them quickly. Thankfully, I narrowly missed them! I ended up with a pretty bad sunburn by the end of the day. Robmc, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area.
Upon arriving at GZ after the short ride from the previous cache, I noticed a little area that may be hiding the cache. I made my way to it and, unsurprisingly, the cache was there, exactly where I expected it to be. I quickly grabbed it and signed the logbook before placing it back in its hidey hole. The cache itself was a quick find and all was in good condition. While staring around at GZ, I noticed there were indeed many new utes and small trucks nearby. Personally, I'm not a very big fan of them but sadly they're commonplace nowadays. Oh well, I guess that's what people want. TFTC
Going for a nice ride around federation trail today trying to complete the smileys around home. TFTC
Coming from the west, I already paid attention to this vehicle park. Lots of carriages indeed.
TFTC out and about with Algae on the geoscooters, grabbing some smilies. We did about 20 km.
I found this cache today on my 35,000 step walk from Sunshine to Laverton via the Kororoit Creek Trail and the Federation Trail. Shouldn't be a ute or light truck shortage anytime soon. Thanks from D B-A
Out and about with My good caching mate Omegaman1971, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles.
This is one of the caches found today.
Thanks Robmc for the cache.

Have had my eyes on the Federation Trail series of caches for a while so was grateful for the caching opportunity that presented itself today. With SpursNorth in company, we started on Fitzgerald Road and finished the day at Altona Gate shopping centre for a well deserved snack before heading home.
A blustery but mostly pleasant Friday afternoon minus the intermittent unbearable stench along the trail. With thanks to Robmc for placing and maintaining a variety of caches.

Out for the day geocaching with my brother Ketchthor. Some good spots threw out the day and no DNFs which was amazing. TFTC
I’m happy with the Ute I’ve got, but thanks for the offer. Out and about with ConnieandRick, lots of laughs and sunshine! Thanks Robmc for placing this cache and contributing to this great game. Happy trails, Deanside
Out for a few hours with Deanside, started on this trail and then went further afield. Another day of sunshine, good finds and lots of laughs.
I'm still chasing souvenirs, and attempting a 28-day caching streak for the current Wheel-of-Challenges souvenir campaign. Still have plenty of local caches to find, and still somehow maintaining the mojo and the momentum. I'm keeping this endeavour as eco-friendly as possible, so other than saving fuel and the 'environment', the additional walking and cycling will probably provide me with a few random Garmin Connect souvenirs too. (Well, I am a sucker for colourful pixels... errr... I mean digital 'art' ) .
Today's outing was a 34km loop cycling from home to Williams Landing and following the FT from far west back to Millers Rd. Who knew the FT went as far west as Hoppers Crossing?! - I thought it ended at Fitzgerald Rd as that's where the caches go up to, and that's all I see on the map .
Now determined to clean up the caching trail on this side I did another adjoining two. Finished up the day with this easy find. It still took me a while to retrieve the cache as I have a policy of not putting my hand in where I cannot see .
Plenty of Utes around here - and even more SUVs. Crazy waiting times at the moment for new cars - part of the delay is customs clearing the vehicles from any bio-hazards.
Who needs cars - for today anyway, it's "On yerrrr bike!".
Thanks, Robmc.

Day 3 of 28 - Drove to the KCT and cycled 6km to a cache.
Day 4 of 28 - Cycled 25km from home, around KCT detours, to the FT, and then found 2 caches in the northern part of the KCT.
Day 5 of 28 - Drove to Geelong, completed an adlab plus bonus.
Day 6 of 28 - Found a cache near the morning's Brimbank parkrun.
Day 7 of 28 - Drove to the KCT and cycled 9km. A DNF followed by a find.
Day 8 of 28 - Cycled 5km to and along the Seaholme foreshore. Feet wet for a cache.

Day 10 of 28 - Cycled from home and did a 34km loop including the FT from Williams Landing to Millers Rd, finding 2 caches out west.

Pretty nippy and grim this morning. I feel like I'm in a mish mash of a Star Wars/Mad Max/War of the Worlds movie with all the heavy industry around here. Thanks for bringing me to the area.
From GZ (where the cache was quickly found), all I could see was lots of prime movers. However, as I headed to the next cache, I could see a number of other vehicles, including a lot of utes.
My thanks for the cache, Robmc.

With dot558 and looked in obvious spot then had to look elsewhere, but after doing a real look found it
Thanks robmc nearly a dnf but geocacing gods on my side

Not as many utes out here today, mainly Haval SUVs and trucks. Didn't spot this one on the first pass and then waited out a walker until the coast was clear for a second look. TFTC
Had a small amount of time up my sleeve so decided to add a few smilies to the tally before heading home.
The 3 new caches on this stretch have been on my radar for some time as they filled a random covid gap in my Jasmer Calendar. By the time I got here it turned out I had already filled that gap on a trip to Sydney the week prior but nice to get this stretch of the map clear again. TFTC.

So last night I called up BackPAQer and like you do.. I said lets go find some caches...
so after some debate on which trail we would tackle we decided to FT and KCT track.
So early morning start with two scooter and BackPAQer and myself hit the trails.
Hot day for it considering it is spring.. 33C out there today..
Day started badly with two Did Not Finds in the first three...
But we ended up with 27 Finds and 7 Did Not Finds and picked up a trackable
It was a fun day out and even managed a great lunch and a pint in Yarraville to break up the day.
Thanks to RobMC for the trail. Sorry for the generic logs
Thanks for the cache and the hide
log book has been signed and returned

Well, that's a hat trick of DNF's for me on this trail now, hopefully no more.
I Decided to have a look for this one but no matter how much I tried I just was unable to find it.
**Thanks to Robmc for placing this cache even though I couldn’t find it.**

Knowing I had a trip out here for work I put the scooter in the car for this trail after work. Plenty of smells out here with the various factories around.
Yes. Lots to choose from here. All in good order.
Thanks to Robmc for the fun and the adventure.

I'd spent the day yesterday at the Grand Final.
I left the car in the CBD.
So back I went on the treddly to pick it up.
Great morning for a ride and some smiley's
Plenty of new vehicles here.
Thought times were tough!!

It has been a while with all the cold rainy winter weekends that we have gone a scooter ride but my smallest geokid and I headed out today to this trail. The weather was almost perfect and there was a small section I needed to revisit to avenge a couple DNF's I had a while ago as well. There were quite a few "interesting" smells emanating from some of the industrial areas.
I would like a new ute and I am still waiting for it and waiting and waiting... at least I didn't have to wait to find the cache we found it straight away.
Thanks Robmc for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Next time I'll bring a bike I think. Might make it a tad bit easier. Interesting graffiti along here, lot of rubbish however. Haven't spotted any CKA (City Krime Art) however who are the kings of the West. Fierce reputation too.
Cam finally got one on the board on todays hunt! For anyone keeping score that’s 3-1 now Thanks for the cache!
A five km walk to finish the day, and this series.
Started under the bridge and headed to The Shiny Mountain first of all.
Just one blue ute down this end today.
Some nice new bogie drive - twin steer cab chassis in there.
One of those would do just nicely, thank you very much.
Plenty of utes up the west end of the yard.
*monkey trap (plural monkey traps)*
*(literally) A cage containing a banana with a hole large enough for a monkey's hand to fit in, but not large enough for a monkey's fist (clutching a banana) to come out; anecdotally used to catch monkeys that lack the intellect to let go of the banana and run away.
(figuratively) A clever trap of any sort, that owes its success to the ineptitude or gullibility of the victim.*
You got me!
Thanks Robmc.

Today's 'brief' stint was an 18km (we thought it would be about 10) walk which took us nearly 5 hrs, along a bike track, my bike is currently in pieces.
By this point, day1976 was finding all the caches while I sat down whenever we stopped.

Found with ilukaperi on a short day stint in Melbourne's western suburbs.
Would I likea new ute? Only if it's electric.

Next up on my walk to collect a handful of caches to satisfy the Reach the Peak challenge.
Again, another easy find.

Out and about with echidna44 and au_fait for the day doing the bike trail here. We left one car at one end and one at the other. Enjoyed good company, weather excellent and mostly success. New car would be nice but sorry not my style.Nice easy find here, we are off to a good start. Cache in excellent condition. Thanks for the journey Robmc
Out with au.fait & xambo4u, we were doing the FT trail and part of the KCT trail. We had a great day with lots of talk and laughter. Many utes to choose from (over the fence). Thanks Robmc.
Out today in the excellent company of echidna44 and xambo4u on an overcast but fine day. Just perfect for doing a length of the Federation Trail. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many shiny new trucks all lined up like that TFTC Robmc
Picked up another one of these while out on the bike to get the next Basecamp souvenir. This location is like something from Bladerunner 2049!
Thanks to Robmc for this hide, there were plenty of trucks across the fence but no utes to be seen.
All good here today.
