Just when you think you've had enough, you expand the search area just a tad and think slightly differently and then woot. Got it.....well nyssaflutterby did.
Was becoming very frustrated with this one, then thought what type of cache would blend in so well here. So continued searching with this different mindset, and found it. No longer frustrated, now very happy. tftc
Today I joined forces with chamad and geopup to collect some caches in 2 LGAs for a couple of challenges and to enjoy this beautiful part of our country.A quick find here, log signed, cache replaced as found. Thanks LizBeth1998 for the cache.
Today was a fun caching day with Willis007 and geodog bella. The plan was to grab a few target caches around the scenic rim area and then continue to head off to the northern rivers area and grab a few numbers. With just a few on the list, it was easy to fill the day in further with a few extra caches as we passed by. The run for the target caches were for challenge caches in Brisbane that willis007 was working on. For me it was a nice day for a drive and a couple of interesting caches to collect along the way. While there was no pressure for the day's outing, we still managed to grab a few interesting caches and a nice tally for the day. We signed all logs and returned caches as we found them.It is a very interesting area around here and I enjoy just driving around and the views, awesome.Thank you for placing the cache here and bringing me to this area.
At GZ we spotted the camo then had the cache. We had some tools in the car and had the bison open in no time. Log signed and replaced as found albeit hopefully easier to open now. Thanks LizBeth1998 for the cache.
Have had someone check on this one and its still in place but I will arrange to get the bison replaced asap. Happy hunting
What a truly beautiful swimming hole - the cache was definitely a good hide - would never had found without the keen eyes of my wife - THFC
Yesterday we spent doing NRRT caches with a large group. This morning the numbers had dwindled with only Brother Colin and myself setting out early to pick up caches on a return ride to Tyalgum for coffee and scones.
As Brother Colin mentioned this cache was both difficult to locate and impossible to open .

Teamdfl & I had planned to ride the Northern Rivers Rail Trail (NRRT) last weekend and then Ruzzelz started organizing another of his group rides, so we changed our trip to join the bigger group.
In the end there was about a dozen people (and two dogs) in the group.
On the return ride we did stop at Burringbar Pub for a meal and drinks. I would recommend a stop here.
Overall, a great day out. I ended up cycling a little over 60km.
That was yesterday. Today Ruzzlez and I cycled out to Tyalgum because the road is closed to vehicular traffic due to a section being destroyed by flood waters.
This cache had us searching the longest but eventually we found it. Like the last finder we could not get the cache open. You will need two gripping devices to open this bison tube. We only had 1.

Today I cycled a little under 60km.
Thanks for the adventure Ruzzelz.

Besides typical Ankh-Morporkian sensibilities, ordinary citizens are incapable of paying their taxes altogether simply because the amount they have to pay exceeds their income. The wealthy on the other hand, pay negligible amounts or avoid paying entirely thanks to the Guild of Accountants.
Checked on this cache yesterday can happily say it is still in place. Keep on looking DNF ers. If this isn't your first cache I can almost guarantee youve seen one before (on the Tyalgum loop). You may need to move some leaves and debris but it is there! Happy Hunting
Another trip south of the border to finish off an Adventure Lab and to catch some smiles. Make a list of the caches, print out some new border passes, pack the hand sanitizer, hoh hum!
GZ was certainly busy today with 40C heat! TFTC LizBeth1998

Yesterday we looked all around for this cache - with a pretty good idea of what to look for. This morning we met the CO's and they confirmed what we were looking for and so after another big day touring, we stopped on our way back to camp and in the very first spot that p-pprass went to - there was the cache! Just had to approach it from a different angle.
Thanks LizBeth1998.

DNF at 4:37 PM.
On our way to camp after a big day, we were picking up a few caches along the way. This one had us stumped. Is it on the ground or in the trees?

Had an afternoon free so thought I would go to a couple of spots to look for birds got my annual list and also attempt a few of the caches that had been placed since my last visit a year ago - good to see a range of new caches around Murwillumbah. Such a pleasant drive and most of the caches were quick finds - and even got a FTF to boot.
Back to Tyalgum and then along the Eungella Road back to town. This was the next one attempted and thought could be a harder find. However, searching around managed to look from the right angle and spotted the familiar hide. Container wasn’t sealed correctly but all good with log (and not cross threaded) so closed correctly and replaced as found.

No luck for us here today. We did find a syringe so be mindful where you step, at least the pig who left it here put the cap over the sharp. I shall try again when I do the lolly loop soon
Due to family health Emergency I haven't had a chance to get here yet and I won't be home from Canberra till next week will get this back up and running soon
Has been a fire in area recently and need to replace give me a few days and I'll get back there to replace.
Met up with geofriends to collect a cache or two for the souvenir challenge. Thanks.
Out and about today, after some searching the cache was found, log signed and we were on our way. TFTC
We came for a drive out here today as we were in the area delivering Christmas dinner goodies to our daughter's home so we don't have to do everything on the day. What a great chance to get out and find a couple of geocaches while in the area. Found two today and will find some more over the next week as we are up and down to here on several occasions. This one had us puzzled for a little bit but with a bit more perseverence the cache was in hand and we were signing the log. The river looks great from up here. It would have been nice for a dip today as it was pretty hot. Thanks LizBeth1998 for the new caches in the area.
Cheers and happy caching!
