Logs
A few late logs as they were on my phone in C:Geo found some time ago but omitted to log.All caches were in good condition unless stated otherwise.
Love the old cemeteries. Even found a monument to us! Thanks for placing these caches!
Away for the June Long Weekend with TheWhiteDogGang. We based ourselves at Orroroo and travelled far and wide over 4 days. We managed 1,500 kms during our travels. We managed to find some really old caches, one from 2001, and even managed to get all 9 terrain ratings. Not bad for 2 old farts with no coordination. The weather was dry if not cold on occasions.A good way to spend 4 days.Numbers were gathered and a quick find made.TFTC
A LWE away caching w Team WaldronToured the mid north and surroundsSome great caches foundFixed a few as wellTFTC
Nearly a dnf here but a process of elimination had us locating the cache on the ground nearby. Hopefully we replaced it in the appropriate spot.
Pick up Detofinbars mid morning for a days geocaching around nearby towns of Terowie, Peterborough, Black Rock, Orroroo and Booleroo Centre with other caches in between. Taking in a lot of different scenery and magnificent views that would not happen otherwise if there wasnt a cache to look for. All caches in good condition unless indicated otherwise in log. TFTC Eventually found this one luckily enough on the ground at GZ and made it into a smiley after not finding it 12 months ago.
Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin up along the west coast and home again through the centre and the Nullarbor, picking up caches as we go. Today, we are exploring beautiful Burra and some of the surrounding countryside. Gathered the info and found the cache
Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to Darwin, down the Centre and in the Flinders. Basing ourselves in Peterborough for a few days to grab finds in the surrounds. Thanks for the hide froghoppin
While staying in Jamestown we recently logged a string of DNF’s in Peterborough. So many nanos which always give us lots of trouble
Full time Nomads since March 2014.
Having been in Perth to visit family our stay has come to an end and we are on our way to Broken Hill for the Mundi Mundi Bash.
Stopping in Jamestown to catch up with Sylken. This morning we joined with them to attempt a new cache and try to convert some . Bumping into Chrispy was a bonus. We continued along in 3 cars, then 2 cars then it was just us caching our way back to Jamestown.
Fun Sunny day to be out and about.

While staying in Jamestown we enjoyed today caching in Peterborough and Yongala. Peterborough seems to be ‘Nano Central’ and as these types of hides are definitely our nemesis, and not our favourites we weren’t surprised to end up with a few DNF’s….even with comprehensive hints
Time for a Tuesday Trekking again.
Today it was a duo of cachers, as Brisal5, was unable to join us today.
Ttrogg picked up the Rat from the Rat's nest.
We then headed north, chasing boxes.
We came, we gathered our info.
Did the calcs, then off to GZ.
This took longer than it should have to find.
About to give up, when ttrogg said found it. Tftc

After picking up the Rat from her nest we went on a Tuesday Trek in a northerly direction . My main aim was a newish AdLab in Clare, after that we continued north where there were quite a few Used 2B Churches that needed to be found. The day's list also included a variety of physical caches and even a virtual. Another satisfying day's caching before heading home for some relaxing.
This one had us looking for quite a while before the SOS was spotted. Now have over half the series found, one day I'll have them all.
Thanks to froghoppin for adding this cache to the nice series.
Cache #13696 for me.
This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).

Didn’t blink, but found the little blighter. Thanks froghoppin for bringing us here tftc
Got the lil’ blighter
What a year Sandyofthesea and I have had. We kitted out the Prado and took off from Perth, Western Australia at the start of April 2022 to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. We started with the Nullabour, Eyre and York Peninsulas, the Riverlands, visited family in Victoria and then back in SA it got cold. Flinders and the Oodnadatta Track was amazing and we finally warmed up in Dalhousie Springs. The Alice beckoned and then a change of plan and we ended up tackling the Tanami Track to the Kimberley and Bungles Bungles. Territory Day in Darwin was unhinged - please try and do it! The Gulf, the coast and the car breaker ‘Old Tele Track’ to the top of Cape York. This is a must but it’s not easy! Eventually made it to Brisbane to get some fixes to the car….. let’s see where we end up.
froghoppin, I found Blink #02 Peterborough today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

On our travels we had stopped to to grab this cache but was unsuccessful, so on the way hame we had another go and bazinga we found it even if the rain really didn’t help, so now we have turned that frown upside down, thanks for another fun cache
Broken Hill to Peterborough
While towing the caravan we stopped along the highway where it is safe to pull over.
Once we had dropped our caravan at the camping ground we did a tour of this railway town & it's many nanno's. This was a good way to visit the town
Thanks for placing the cache.

Since the sign is gone we have given the required info in the hints for now to enable to either work out at the site or prior to visiting Happy hunting
On our travel we stopped to grab a couple of cache but when got to the coordinates this is what we found, maybe next time
After spending another morning 4WDriving , lunching in town and checking out Steamtown, it was time to catch up on some of the caches that had been put out since our last visit .
Calculating this one felt like work [|)]. TNLNSL.
Another cache where we were following Freddo today .
Thanks again Froghoppin.

Found the orignal nano cache. Not the replacement nano cache. Or did you just make an nano adjustment? Bloody nanos.
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

We did the calculations twice but I'm confident we're looking in the wrong area. Will have to come back another time with fresh eyes/ minds.
Found during a caching trip to SA's mid north staying at Orroroo for two nights and Jamestown for one night. Spent the day caching around Peterborough and Yongala, then down to Jamestown. Made the observations, did the calculations and wandered over for the search. Took a long time to spot the container though! Thanks for the cache froghoppin.
In town for a night to look up some shonky family history. I found my great great great grandmother's grave. She passed in 1914 and was a bit of a party girl back in the day apparently.
Cache coords were worked out first time and cache was right where I felt.
Thanks for the angel Mr Froghoppin

The last unfound in town for me, and an interesting way to calculate the GZ... calculated correct first time though, and soon after found the cache.
Love this series, only 1 left to find over in Pirie.

Thanks

I was getting itchy feet and wanting to get out in the bush camping again, so decided to do an overnighter to the mid-north.
Unfortunately the weather forecast wasn’t great, but aside from a couple of showers in the morning as I was heading north from Adelaide, the occasional bit of patchy light rain on and off through the day was not enough to detract. And the temperatures in the mid-20s were very pleasant!
My main targets were multis. Most seemed to be Used2Bs or simple 2-stage multis and didn’t take too long. Only one was a multi-stage cache.
I was happy with my tally of 24 multis and one Traditional cache for the day. All of the caches except one were found relatively easily and were in good condition.
Thanks froghoppin for the cache.

The Non Wangaratta Event Tour 2021!
Covid has postponed the Mega in Victoria until January but leave had been granted for AnyMules to attend with me and Bushfire. So Anymules and I went on a tour to Eyre Peninsular and mid north South Australia instead whilst Bushfire joined us in spirit only as covid meant he couldn't come here either. Not needing anything for my yearly goals I hoped I didn't add too many to the DNFs [B)]
DAY 4: Grab a few move solved puzzles and head to Terowie.
this one took a little searching but we soon had the little bugger in hand.
But it was a nano and so the Freddo rant MUST be invoked. [^] Poor kitten. [xx(]
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks froghoppin for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Thought we’d found something that indicated this one might be missing, but searching a little higher we found the dastardly critter.

Called in to check on this one, have now changed cache to a magnetic so wind will no longer be a factor, clue remains the same, cheers
Cache has been blown out of its hidey hole and has been picked up by a local. I have given them a place to leave it where it should be but will need checking properly
Found after a short search, I don't know how tall the CO is but they must be more than 2.7m tall

Blink and you could miss this angel - well hardly. I said a prayer and the cache was cached. I had two goes at this and the second set of numbers made more sense. My halo was a help!! A good hide which is a good welcoming in St Peter style.
Thanks to froghoppin and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
Found while staying in Peterborough with my muggle friend, Bron, who caches with me and caught up with caching friends too...
Waiting for SnappyTomCats to join us...
This is a nice neat cemetery and found the location easily...
Worked out the coordinates and headed to GZ...
Found after a short search...nicely hidden away...
There is a lovely plaque at the entrance to the cemetery that reads:
*"Do not stand
At my grave and weep
I am not there
I do not sleep
I am a thousands winds that blow
I am the diamonds gilt on snow*
*I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumns rain
When you awaken in the mornings hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars
That shine at night*
*Do not stand
at my grave
and cry*
*I am not there
I did not die"*

We had planned to visit Peterborough for the weekend to attend an event and do some caching. and as we had to deliver a heap of Crystal Decanters that we had engraved for the Clare wine show, to them, we figured we are halfway there..might as well carry on, so we organised a day off and are having a "long Weekend' up North! Today we teamed up with hevwalker and Bron. Attempted yesterday but wasnt sure that we had worked out the coord properley. After confirmation that we had, we continued A quick find here todayTFTC
Arrived at the posted co ords and soon worked out what I had to do, after a bit of stuffing around I soon had some co ords that looked good, off I went to GZ where a cache was found, signed and replaced.
Today I headed from Adelaide up north caching my way along from cache to cache and found myself in Peterborough for the evening. Stopped at Clare and Burra along the way as well as doing a few lab caches. Roughly 80 finds for the day.
Thanks for the cache

The angel was found. Blink. The numbers were crunched in the comfort of the car. The numbers were obviously wrong. The numbers were crunched again. This time they looked much better. Blink. Check previous logs and the mention of a small crate soon had the cache in hand. Blink blink. TFTC
This weekend, I joined Laighside Legends on a trip up north, with the main plan to visit the Bendleby Ranges on Saturday, followed by a hike in the Southern Flinders Ranges at Rawnsley Bluff. We managed to escape the rain and poor weather in Adelaide, and we were only affected by minor drizzles and some cold winds on Sunday morning.
Today we headed from Adelaide to Peterborough in the late afternoon, so more driving, and less so geocaching. We did take the opportunity to make a quick stop at Saddleworth and Burra, before finding a few geocachers in Peterborough before resting for the evening.
It was quite dark by the time we arrived here at this cemetery, which may have added to the eerie atmosphere. We found the correct letters, and within the warmth and comfort of our car, went abouts to making the translation to numbers and coordinates. It was then a short drive/walk to GZ, where after a few minutes of looking, I managed to find the sneaky hide. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks froghoppin for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

A nice little multi and a quick find here in the dark. I think I might have finished the Blink series, well for now at least...

A nice puzzle and a clever hide! I’m short so I knew to adjust my search and spotted something that didn’t quite look right. A favourite point from me! TFTC

WOWSER Another FTF & it was a multi! One I managed to solve reasonably quickly (it’s a rare thing believe me) lol
This afternoon out & about has been brilliant & very productive to say the least even if we did have a DNF along the way.
