Logs
It's December, and to help me achieve one of my Geocaching goals I need to log 300+ caches this month, which means an average of ten a day. I started off well, but had a glitch in the middle which has left me behind on my target. As I leave home on a road trip to Hawkes Bay to see a band play, and then return to Wellington to see the same band play again for New Years Eve, I have only 108 left to find to meet my target. I have a list of caches to look for, and this was one of them. All good here, although the log paper is very close to full --- Thanks to wordedpoet for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues. [DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge
Even this camouflaged was a nice easy find. Watch out for the muggles in their cars
Found on a day trip targeted at the Maths Journey series and a few other stragglers nearby that I hadn't found to date. Managed to find the Maths series at a rate of 12/hr, so it was all done in just over 1.5hrs, leaving plenty of time for the extra caches I had my eye on.

Day 2 of the holiday trip. Boys are cycling between Masterton and Pahiatua, while I act as support crew and cache where I can.
A quick find once I looked beyond the obvious. Wow cars tear along this road, keep a watch out!

A nice quick find, once the traffic had cleared. The mall metal ring on the container has rusted away, so I hooked the big ring through the hole slightly. Thanks for placing and maintaining your cache.
Ms_KR and I are off on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland to visit family. Today we cruised up to Napier from Greytown. Rain and drizzle were the name of the game today, dodging showers all the way.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

On a day out with CF and have now moved on to picking random caches neither of us have claimed. Interesting seeing the State Hydro-Electric Department frontage. Quick find, thanks wordedpoet ️
Found it. Today the WiFi crashed so I had to do a bit of walking around but I found it #12
(# 6876) Day trip over the hill for a touch of caching. Even better that it is a pleasantly fine day. A quick find. Thanks for bringing me here.
After my swim I decided to find this cache. All good and dry inside.
The view of the valley is great from here, especially seeing the Tararuas. I have included a photo of this road in February when the USAAF B-52 Stratofortress bomber flew over as part of the Wings Over Wairarapa festival. TFTC wordedpoet.

On the road mainly chasing down archived Skindo puzzles, many of which are still in place, plus of course, any unfound caches along the way. The intention is to do as much of the travelling as possible by bike (hence the emphasis on "local") as a means to improving health and fitness while enjoying the Wairarapa countryside.
This was an unfound 'nearby' cache; a nice hide and quickly spotted. TFTC

My Dad was a linesman for the Wairarapa Electric Power Board from the 1960s through to 1993 and would have spent time here at the Masterton Sub-station. TFTC.
A quick find here. My wife's getting a bit sick of me coming home with my socks full of grass seed, LOL. TFTC
I went for a quick drive around today to pick up a few geocaches that I had left in town and just outside of town that I hadn't found yet. TFTC to all the geocache owners, it was fun to find all of these.
Stayed a night in Greytown, stopped here on our way home after being to Cape Palliser on this very hot day. Soon had cache in hand, signed log and return as found. Thanks wordedpoet for the cache.
Probably not the best one to do on a wet day with all of the long grass, but it was good to tidy up some unfound caches in the area.
Thanks for putting this here for us to find.

We went to masterton for the day to locate the few newer caches there i did not have , plus The walk around henley lake and the fenshaw wetland bush walk all of which we did although not getting home until nearly 9,00pm after starting off at 8.00am.
I took some photos of the lake and today there was the BIG waka race day with teams from as far north as Tutukaha . the teams were really working and ploughing through the water.
thank you for this cache. i took nothing and left nothing

Rocks put me wrong, but back on the right path again. Glad it's sunny and dry today! Tftc
#12,074. Park and grab on Cornwall Road in East Taratahi. GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find. The cache container was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Found with Tufty on a day's caching in the lower Wairarapa. After having achieved our objectives in the Martinborough area, we came north to clean up a few unfound Masterton caches. A quick find here - signed log, TFTC
I teamed up with agcnz to go and locate the new caches out at White Rocks today and seeing that we had a bit of spare time before dinner there were a couple of close ones to the restaurant.
The muggles across the road were too busy talking to notice us.
Cheers for the cache.

Visiting Masterton for a weekend of work at the hospital. Had some spare time in the afternoon so ventured out to clear up some of the view remaining local caches. No problems finding and signing this one. Thanks
#7877. Finally a find. After 2 DNF's in a row I was starting to wonder if I made the right choice coming over to the Wairarapa to geocache. But nothing like a find to boost the confidence. The weather over here today is stunning. Warm, sunny and the clearest air I have seen. The tops of the Tararuas looked so inviting. Parked by the power station and headed to GZ. The paddocks are so brown and dry at the moment. Poor sheep looked like they had nothing to eat. The cache was quickly spotted. Signed the logbook and returned everything as found. Thanks for the cache wordedpoet.
This one was a bit of a struggle today because, for some bizarre reason, my GPSr turned on in some kind of demo mode. Everything on the screen looked normal and it was showing me to be within a couple of metres of the cache so I began looking. After coming up empty I noticed the cursor on the screen wasn't showing any movement. I shut down the unit and restarted it, got a quick connection and spotted the cache shortly after (even though the GPS was still sending me several metres away). TFTC as I needed one today to get the souvenir )
One of ten located today in Masterton and nearby, starting with three in the countryside south of town (this being one of those three). Another quick find. #3182. TFTC.
I did a wee side track to find Taratahi since I did a bit of work at Telford and got this one on the way. Possibly the Transpower grid exit point for the area? Cheers
I enjoy caching in the Wairarapa so it was good to see a few new caches for me to have a crack at finding. My GPSr led me a bit astray here but I soon found what I was after in a sensible spot.
Another very warm day in the Wairarapa....nice to more coaches popping up in Carterton.
Thank you for the cache

Knew where we were coming to as our school bus used to stop here each day. There used to be quite a few more houses around here then. Quick find - tftc
