Found while on holiday with mates - bucket list trip to the top - so far having a ball. TFTC
Last day at Iron Range and so instead of banging we went birdwatching, touristing and having a yummy lunch at Portland Roads. On the way we stopped at Chil(l)I Beach. Such a nice spot - though always windy. More people than I have ever seen here ( though my first visit it was deep sand low range 4wd track all the way in from the main road).Visited the rocks (and sent the answers) while birding along the beach. This is my northernmost cache so far (and last I suspect for the Cape) this trip. So glad I got here and there is an interesting cache as well.TFTC The Rats
Heading Cape York with Team Crackers, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506, after visiting Longreach for the last QOGM.Very pretty location, but very windy The answers were discussed as a group and sent in to the CO.Many thanks for placing this earthcache, The Rats, a favourite point given.
Travelling further north than I have been before with Papi4506, Team Crackers and The Drovers. I used to have a number of olivine bombs and inclusions. Such a pretty crystal. Thanks for bringing us to this great location with this cache.
Team Crackers, The Drovers, Geoturtle37 and myself are all heading for the tip of Cape York. Can't say our vehicle is as excited as we are though. What a great location for an earthcache. Thank you so much for bringing us here. The views are stunning.
Travelling to the tip of Australia with The Drovers, Geoturtle37 & Paqpi4506 was the aim of this trip stopping at geocaches and historic sites as well as picking up some new LGA'sWe were in the area checking out some WW2 history but were not going to go past an earth cache and we are so glad we made that choice. This was a really spectacular location and we had a great time soaking up the views while collecting the information required. Once we had a set of answers that we hope our good enough we sent then answers off to the CO for the group, they will hopefully pass muster and this log will remain. Many thanks The Rats for bringing us here, a favourite point from us.
Another fantastic day on the road. Frenchman's Track done, Wenlock River done, Pascoe River done. WOW WHAT A TRIP!, And Chilli Beach to tp it all off. After an afternoon walking around the low tide, chatting with some of the local kids getting oysters off the rocks, and working out the answers for the earth cache, it was time for dinner and bed, but not before Campfire Smores and a medical event (falling and hitting a head of a fellow traveller). What a day! Thanks for the EC
About a year ago, Swellerfungus invited me to join a trip to Cape York that he was organising. I have been to the Cape by boat in the late 80's, but I thought it would be interesting to return by air and land.
With other commitments for the first prt of their trip, I opted to fly to Bamaga and join the crew. After a few days exploring the Cape and a trip to TI, the road south now beckons.
After a nigh at Bramwell Station, we stopped in at Moreton Station for some (bad) coffee and then headed south before turning east on Frenchman's Track. What an adventure this was - some easy driving, a soft crossing of the Wenlock and then the adrenaline pumping challenge of the Pascoe crossing.
Traversing the range, we finally made it to Portland Rd and an easy drive to our camp at Chilli Beach and this earth cache.
Our campsite was very close to GZ and we enjoyed sundowners looking at the granite outcrops before the nightly show by the Starlings.
I had heard mixed reviews about Chilli Beach, but was glad we made the effort to get here. Answers sent. Many thanks, Rats.

Departed Melbourne a couple of weeks ago and travelling north for the winter, well, for the northern warmth actually (hopefully ), passing through as many small towns as I can grabbing the odd cache here and there as I travel.
Finally made the northern warmth and I'm loving it
Heading north now, Cape York bound! Yesterday we are headed into Chilli (or is it Chili) Beach for two nights for some R&R. Left the van at Archer River and came in with a swag.
Just a beautiful spot, loved the white beach and we had a little wind but just enough to blow the bugs away.
**Thanks for creating this earthcache The Rats**

Unbelievable adventures and fun times – that's what this trip is all about. Australia's diversity has blown us away, and Cape York, with its crazy rough roads, has a special place in our hearts. Our second trip to the Cape, part of our first lap around Australia, and we've almost hit 92,000km in 2.5 years. Prepared for the worst, but ended up with smooth roads up and crazy rough roads down two weeks later. Nature's beauty surrounds us – lush rainforests, sandy beaches, and hidden gems everywhere – Cape York is an absolute stunner! Memories to cherish forever!
Big shoutout to the cache owners who made geocaching a fantastic part of our journey. Sorry for the copy and paste logs, but with so much ground to cover, it's the best way to stay on top of them all!

Most impressed to find a cache up here at Chilli Beach. I’m up for a couple of weeks teaching in Lockhart River. Chilli Beach is simply magical.
Thanks for the Earthcache

On our multi-week adventure trip on the Cape York Peninsula with a 4x4 camper we not only traveled along the Old Telegraph Line to the northernmost point of Australia, but also made many exciting detours and one of them led us to the lonely, romantic Chilli Beach. Such a vast country with a huge variation of beautiful landscapes and lakes and geologically phenomena! Fabulous area and well worth a visit. Very nice and beautiful geocaching site. Answers has been sent to the Owner. Thanks for placing this Earth cache in the stunning area and greetings from Germany!
We like to take up this challenge of sympathy.

Just posting this one as a DNF because I visited the location but didn't have much time or the questions with me to answer specifically. The information about the granite rocks and formations was very interesting. And the rocks themselves were very cool to look at and see the different colours. The sparkly ones were a fav. 5
We can imagine this place would be idyllic but for us it was just hard work, the wind was horrendous and even trying to stand up in it was hard. We managed the beach walk and explored the rocks, they are a surprising addition to the area. Found some awesome shells too. Thanks for the earthcache.
After taking three weeks to meander my way up from Adelaide to Cairns on my own, I met up with FeatherWaite and another friend to head further north to the tip of Cape York.
We visited Chilli Beach and this earthcache while camped nearby in the much more sheltered rainforest camping area. Quite a spectacular beach!
Thanks The Rats for another interesting earthcache.

Visited Chilli Beach during a trip from Adelaide to the northern tip of Australia. Traveling up solo through central Queensland, I met up with e.gregory1 and a non-cacher friend near Cairns for the rest of the trip northwards, finding caches along the way. Thanks for the insights into the geology of the area and interesting earthcache The Rats!
what an adventure from adelaide to the the tip of cape york, such an adventure. we thank all cache owners for adding to our adventure and most of all making it such an amazing way to explore as we drove through this fantastic country side. TFTCSL
