We have been in Portland visiting dad for a couple of weeks and we decided to have a couple of days caching in the SE corner of SA hoping to get our 10,000th SA find .The rain eased to a drizzle as we pulled up near Gnome hill. That was a blessing as this one took us longer than it should to locate. We decoded the clue to speed things up but somehow could not find the required gnome.Once he was spotted we were able to quickly add our name to the log and returned every thing as found. Many thanks Davidwazza for showing us this fun little place

Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on. SA caching foray. Staying in Mount Gambier for a week to grab some of the local hides. Its been sixteen years since since we were last here so enjoying the re-visit. Love the country roads caching. Reminds us of Gnomesville back in WA - but there are thousands! Thanks for the hideLNCU

We are travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are in Beautiful Mt Gambier for a few days, soaking up the amazing things this area has to offer. We especially love the bush, the back roads, and the wild southern seas. TFTC LNCU.

It is always hopefully just a few more caches, so that is what we did today along with ilook4geo. This one was a very easy find as we arrived at GZ and a couple more names were soon added to the log book. Everything was in good condition and was replaced as found. Thank you to Davidwazza for this cache placement.

This was a nice easy find after getting to GZ with goingplaces2. Cache was retrieved, log was signed, all was replaced. Job done! TFTC.

Grabbed this cache on the way back from some events and heading back to Millicent HQ for the final farewell. Mr M looked right at home with the other gnomes.

Day 1 of the Mega weekend. Stayed in Robe overnight and was raring to go. A new lab cache series in Beachport meant a detour there before starting the cray fish. The weather was nice to begin with but then turned Millicent with grey dreary drizzle. Did a multi in Rendlesham where I saw the Misfits drive out from the crayfish they had sone them all before I even started .
The long wet grass and grey day made for a hard slog on the crayfish. Had to keep wringing out my socks. Lunch was eaten by 9.30am oops. Had a break at real lunch time and went to mega central which was very quiet but managed to do the 30 labs in town and find a couple of local caches and rectify an 8 year dnf. Back to the crayfish and finally they were all done - yay! That was a long hard slog.
Saw lots of interesting wildlife birds and lots of young beasties. Thankfully no snakes in fact prefer grey dreariness to snakes.
Then headed home via a few more caches and a few dnf at Glencoe.
An excellent first day at the Mega. Back to the farm to eat pizza and drink beers.
TFTC this was a fun find!

With border restrictions and cases coming close to Portland we weren't sure we were going to make it to Millicent. Then the house sitter said they weren't available so once the border approvals came through it was decided that Mr Morris would nurture the dog and Lady Morris would do the border run.

Today was a bit drizzly but it didn't' really rain so she was able to pick up a few caches along the way. Coordinates had me a about 12 metres away so I had to check quite a few before the correct one was located.

Chauffeur got bogged on the opposite side of the road. Nearby farmer gave a hand which we were grateful for. While Chauffeur was fixing the grass area I was left to find the sneaky cache. By the time Chauffeur had finished his job, I found the cache.

The great Southeast Saunter with Anymules down to the Millicent area to find caches associated with the postponed GV2020 mega. Surprised But with leave organized and accommodation booked the caching trip was not postponed! [^]

Day 10: All good things must come to an end. [^] Today was travel home day but of course there was always the chance to find a few more caches on the way. Cool

We had a NDF here a week ago but were advised that the cache had been replaced. [^] So back we came and made a quick find this time to clear that DNF off the map. Smile

***Thanks Davidwazza for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

Had a caching day planned with LiB, earthlight and the X-Trailers out in the pine forests targeting some high D/T caches as well as some of LiB's cool creations. Cool We ended up having a fun day that took us to Glencoe, Nangwarry and Kalangadoo, managing some group finds at the start of the day then leaving the group to do our thing. [^]
We had been told about this one so had to stop and see the gnomes, and of course find the cache. Big Grin
Thanks for the cache Davidwazza. Smile

Spent the morning group caching ticking off a couple higher D/T trads. We left the group to cache our way back towards Millicent... with JJ52, earthlight and The X-Trailers.
Targeted a couple of caches while passing by, enjoyed an ice-cream from the local deli too!
A fun GZ... we spent an extra couple of minutes looking at the characters. Although not a gnome, the metal art dude was my fave, and a FP for bringing us here??

Day 4: Today we set off in search of some unusual D/T traditional combinations, just in case an SFE for that grid appears in the future. Wink Of course there were plenty of stops along the way as we were passing. Cool

We came, we frisked every gnome but they wouldn't give us the cache. It looks like some gnomes have got walkabout judging by the empty flat areas! Sad you pwned us noobs.

**Thanks Davidwazza for the search anyway. ** Razz

what logical reason is this for being here ? Or even a illogical reason will do.
found with mogni. Today we cleared some more stray caches off the highway and did some smiles on your dial, the Honan Mint Trail, shades of ( insert cachers name here ) and started on the DRB ( Dead Ringer Band ) trail plus any other caches we passed along the way.

Why is this here? Thanks to the hint the cache was quickly found and is all good

Today I started out at cockatoo lake after camping there for the evening before making my way to Mt gambier today cleaning up as many caches as I could along the way. A solid day with the weather in mint condition which is unusual for the south east. 85 finds for the day and 5 labs.

Thanks for the cache

Heading down to Millicent with the GV2020 crew to discuss our postponement with the local Council. After all was taken care of Freddo, Trigger Fish and I went for a caching adventure. Sadly around an hour and a half was all I could spare before I had to head back home, where work was waiting. Slowly making my way through all the new caches in the South East, and this was small dent in that to-do list.

This was find number 6 of 11 for the day for me. TFTC Davidwazza!

Old yellow shirt has had a change of wardrobe. He is now wearing a pink shirt.

Cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

Easter 2020 was supposed to see South Australia Geocaching hosting the next Easter big MEGA event, GeoVenture 2020 at Millicent. GC82DAN. The event is now postponed six months to early October. Check out the event page and our website for new details. We would love to see you at this three day event. Mega event sponsored by Wattle Range Council, Geocaching.com and many other supporters. Lots of caches to find including two classic geo art trails.

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Headed out with sylken for a full day caching. We thought we would be home in time for happy hour but alas after lunch we were taking way longer to arrive at GZ and then find the relevant cache! [8)] That'll teach Mrs F to complement herself on 'the list' being 'just right' duh. [B)]
