A straightforward find, but as the last log says, it's missing its lid. Everything was nice and dry when I arrived (after a few days of rain) so hopefully my return keeps up that trend. Thanks
Wednesday night date night with Daddypig again. This time we ventured across the harbour and parked by the fishermen. Daddypig went to one tree, I went to another, I spotted the cache, the geohound ran around in circles.
The bison is still missing its bottom, but I put everything back so that hopefully the log doesn't fall out or the bison fill with rain (or worse still a muggle hound mark it!)

Out and about with Mr P on a windy, wet afternoon. Love this type of hide - thanks Glyn. The views across the harbour was tossing waves and stormy skies.
Nice quick find, which was good, since I was running out of time.
Now that I made it to the ferry, I can log this cache.
Nice hide, it was fun.

(M23:)another nice and easy find, the bottom part of the cache is missing, so caution for future finders, when you find it, make sure the log doesnt fall out, although it wont be hard to find it since it is a big log. TFTC.
I spent the morning looking after the Grandkids while their parents worked from home. I dropped the kids off at daycare in time to have lunch then sleeps and set off on todays geocaching targets.
I was hoping to grab a few puzzles, get the last two TMGT caches and head out towards the airport in plenty of time to collect my son at 6.30pm.
I was pleased as I achieved my goals and got 26 finds plus 2 labs for the day.
I grabbed this as I was in the area finishing off the first tour. I love mysterious green dots. A quick find here. Thanks for the smile

These mysterious green spots certainly do get around. Lots of early morning muggles floating around this area but none interested in what we were up to. Still plenty of car parks, which was surprising. Managed to get nice and close and a short stroll until the cache was in hand. We are getting slightly closer to home! TFTC

Nice quick find but the end of the container is missing. Log was still in place TFTC
As MrNZT is currently working overseas, a plan was hatched to join Keylev for a ladies bike ride around the CBD to collect the waypoints for a nearby multi cache celebrating the original shoreline of Auckland. We started at Point Erin Park and turned around again at the Parnell baths. 15.3Km in total and this one of the last caches we found before finally getting back tot he car and a well earned iced coffee. Keylev already had found this one previously and she generously pointed me in the right direction for the find. the lid is missing on the cache but otherwise all in good condition. TFTC!
TFTC. Tried to find this one once before but was looking in the wrong spot. Great camo. Thanks
Continued my walk through Westhaven by passing a couple of keen fisherman with a truck load of gear next to them. Made the short stroll over to GZ where I quickly located the "Out of place" item, which sadly was missing a lid for the cache container : ( Signed log and replaced the host upside down so the logsheet won't be lying on the ground for the next finder, like it was for me. TFTC Glyn...Another great location for a cache but this time with some great views out to Chelsea Sugar Factory and Chatswood!
As the weather was beautiful this afternoon, I decided to go on a big caching trip where I would walk from Westhaven --> Herne Bay --> Westmere --> Western Springs --> Pt Chev. All in all 32 total finds, including 18 trads, 10 AL's, 2 virtual's and 2 mystery caches. Thanks very much to all CO's for their wonderful hides!

Getting here was a bit of a mission having gone round the the block a couple of times and still nearly went over the bridge. Left our calling card here. Cheers.
Day 4 - Sunday 23 January - Browns Island was on the radar for the morning with the team 'DONE BY ONE'. The afternoon was again running all over Auckland collecting some GTs and scooping up a few others along our journey. The LAB around the bays was also in our sights.
God I hate these spagetti motorway intersections. Lenny was not much help.
Zara, Toby and I are on our North Island expidition for a couple of weeks. Got The Seagnoid along for the first 4 days, heading to the Auckland Mega. PWGTs and TMGTs are on the radar for this trip. Lots of driving on gravel roads and visited lots of amazing places on our 6000km road trip snagging 200+ caches along the way. Visiting Cape Reinga, Bay of Islands, Gisborne and White Rock along our journey. Another awesome trip. Thanks to all CO's.

Came out this way primarily to pick up the virtual cache and the nearby lab cache (and totally forgot the lab cache so had to come all this way back tomorrow). And since we are here, to check out the nearby caches. Like this one. Nice straightforward find. Now that I see who the CO is, this find was much easier than I would have expected.
Day 3. Day after the Mega. In a lot of ways it didn't feel like a mega, but one of the things that did have that mega feel was being able to do the morning trip to Brown's Island. After spending 4 hours walking through knee deep kikuyu grass I am walking noticeably slower now - that wading really wears out the legs! Now for a afternoon of random cachy bits.

Happy to avenge my DNF from 2 years ago. Still missed it on the first pass but got there. Container lid is missing but log ok.
Travelled up from Dunedin for my first Mega event and wanting to sign off some geotour caches as well in Auckland and Northland.
Thanks for the cache, G_2

Found the hint item but couldn't find the cache. Moved everything and couldn't find it
On my way back to the car and thought I would expand the search and I came up with the cache. A council worker was walking near by so had to wait for her to leave before I could open and log the cache. TFTC
Weather forecast was for bad weather but it was a beautiful day so we decided to head out and explore.
GPS pointed me to an area that fit the description but we went round and round and came up empty handed. I expanded the search area a little and found something that fit the description even better but still no luck...hmm where could it be. Suddenly NZIceman shouted 'found it!'. Woop woop back to where we had started but I think some cache creep has occurred as it had been moved away from the hint item as it was out in the open - we had probably stepped straight over it on the way into the area!! Put exactly where the GPS and hint says it should be.
Thanks for the cache - glad it wasn't a DNF.

After spending the earlier part of the day on Rangitoto Island I wandered over to this neck of the woods for the nearby virtual and then decided that I had time for this one as a bonus. Nicely done.
I went out to find a few caches this morning before heading over to my daughter's place for the day. After finding the cache at Point Erin park I wandered over to this one. Hmm - not quite sure of the best way from A to B but I got there in the end. GPS took me straight to the cache. Another clever one. TFTC, Biggles.
Near GZ I spied a bus parked on the other side of the fence so I was a bit worried about being to close to them, but GZ was a little further away. Spotted the hint object relatively quickly and was soon signing the log. It's not one that's going to walk away easily . All good here, and TFTC
Definitely found the hint item, but couldn't find a bison. At this point I might have more DNFs than finds on G-2 caches...
After an afternoon in the city, AliGle and I called in here on our way home to take a look for the nearby TMGT cache and took the opportunity to grab this one too. No problems here. TFTC!
On our way back from a trip into the city, Vistra and I did a quick park and grab for this cache. The hint was spot on. No issues here.
#8911. The TMGT caches were on my radar for this visit to Auckland but with family activities from New Year and poor weather its been a mission to get started on the tour. Yesterday I drove over here with the family after visiting the Weta Cave tour at Sky City. We had no sooner arrived and parked when a tropical downpour started and didn't relent after 20 minutes. So gave up and drove off. Today I was back. Its been raining and showery all day but it had eased back by the time I arrived. After finding the TMGT cache I headed along to locate this one. Soon noticed some suspicious objects and a nicely concealed cache amongst them. Signed the logbook and returned where found. Good to have an interesting container to find at GZ. Thanks G-2 for placing it here.
Rather bleak tonight so few muggles to worry about. Found the cache so the location of the mysterious green spot is no longer a mystery. TFTC
Thanks found with the other southerners. They Came to get the TMGT cache nearby and so found this too.
Nice to spend some time with those from Invercargill as I am from Dunedin.

Impressed with this cache object. Six people hunting, and then ‘here it is’
In lieu of Akld Mega 2020, we decided to use our air tickets anyway, and here we were. Travelling with South Island cachers, we found a number of caches including this one.
We have typically signed as mrandmrschosen1978 or occasionally MM78.

Touring around the North Island with NZ Bozzy mainly to find the TMGT caches but also to attend the non mega event in Auckland. Today we teamed up with Natalie 247 to attend an event and also find a few caches over the bridge

Darkness was falling and after a full day of caching, including a meetup with others at the event, a group of us Southlanders met up to nab a couple of virtuals and others around the area. This took a wee while but finally spotted with one of the 6 pairs eyes hunting! Nice work G-2! tftc
Mysterious (non piggy) cache found in area of Auckland = Nice. Heading along from sweet as (sugar) find at TMGT cache place, another nice addition here with more good camo. T F T C G-2
A medical appointment in the CBD today meant I had to leave work early to attend (shame). I left in good time to make sure I could find a decent parking place and a little diversion via Herne Bay first to grab another TMGT cache, and collateral nearby ones too. I only found a few but all was good, though I twisted my back getting out of the car just before the appointment so a slow walk up to Albert Street from Victoria Park.

Spectacular hint and camo as usual. I chuckled when I spotted the likely suspect and sure enough!
lots of people walking along the waters edge. different side to this area , Great views. TFTC
TFTC. A quick
Play close to home today. Lovely being down by the water.
Thanks for placing the cache.

Ah... I love turning these green dots into yellow smiley faces . The view of the bridge was very nice tonight. Found the cache in between showers. TFTC
After having a few DNFs recently I’d begun to lose my caching confidence and probably wouldn’t have tried but for a previous log that said ‘not as difficult as I thought’ ... and they were right! Cache acquisition was very quick - as were wet muddy shoes from the walk across the long grass, but that’s no big surprise after so much rain! TFTC
Nice quick early morning find! The place was getting busy so it was good to be a little further away from action! TFTC!!
Checked and found it about 6m away from original place, have repositioned it in a different place altogether.

Unfortunately the previous dnf's on this one put us off a bit with our search. We did have a pretty good look but came up with nothing. Oh well onto the next!
Unfortunately a DNF for us here today. Searched trees at GZ & then moved further afield...yes we know it's a G-2 cache so searched extra hard for "unusual" objects, but no nothing turned up......
searched for 15 minutes, then gave up. also too many muggles around on this sunny good Friday.
Had the good fortune to walk up as another geocaching couple were collecting the cache so managed to sign in - took a look to see some typically very fine G--2 work. Thanks for the cache.
Wow... That was a quick find and log and of course great camo...
Thank you for the cache

After attending nearby event, waited for gorby to arrive with pen. A quick find with a group of cachers in the shade.
Found this one with IuryBR, Line_Moh, VibhaHB, LostCourse and Kumar93 after attending the event Watchman Island. There were other cachers from the event who found it first, so it was an easy find!
We had just attended the nearby kayak event to Watchman's Island, and decided to bring the car down for an easy walk to GZ. Well we had our sons car, so no pen, luckily gorby was on his way, so we patiently waited for him to arrive, so the log could be signed.
In the meantime we had a mini geomob as CC & co, plus a Team SEAC representative arrived to claim the cache.

Found this one with a nice group of veterans and beginners, I, Line_Moh, VibhaHB, LostCourse and Kumar93 did a short walk after attending the event Watchman Island GC8K522, when we got there there were other veterans in action, so it was a very easy found, heheh.

Wandered down here with Aiden29 after putting my TMGT cache back together and replacing the log book. Super quick find here and loved the camo on this one. Cheers
After the nearby event and subsequent kayak adventure a group of us took new recruit Kumar93 (his literal first day of caching) to find a few nearby taditional type caches. After finding the TMGT cache just along from this one we continued our walk to this one. We met up with another group of cachers also heading for this one. Once at GZ the cache was soon uncovered and the formalities completed. Cheers for the cache placement!
I was attending the nearby kayaking event for the Watchman's Island virtual cache and made the walk down here with Team Welsh after checking on their TMGT cache nearby. Didn't take us too long to uncover the cache. True G2 camo here.
We were in the area for the Watchman's Island event today and headed to find the nearby caches after. We thought this would be our last cahce of the day, then as we approached we noticed a group of cachers already here. We admired the cache hide, signed our name on the log and then the discussion began as it does. As a result we headed around the coast a little and another kayaking adventure ensued to try "walking on water". A beautiful day for caching today.
Came here after I had packed up the Gorby cafe back into my car, arranged then to meet up with rustynz and Rebel98 here at GZ, I had the only pen... dear of dear... the company I keep... then HeMaLuDy showed up while the cache was in hand. then quickly followed by CyclicalCaching and PJRBO, quite a busy little cache here today G-2.
Then since I have my kayak on the car as does Rebel and HeMaLuDy, CC asked if we could do FMZ's cache under the boardwalk a T5 cache, so off we went.

It has been found today but I looked for ages without luck. The obvious tree had nothing and there were too many other trees and leaf little for a micro. Stopped searching the leaf litter when I found a dog poo. Tried the old coords and they sort of agreed with the obvious tree. Then I noticed my pen had fallen out of my pocket and spent another 10 mins looking for that!
D2 got the better of me today.

This one took us longer than it should have and we had to read a few logs and expand our search a little. Got it in the end
Quick find on my lunchtime run today. As others have noted, coordinates appear to be a bit out, but no problem based on the hint. Thanks!
In Auckland today hunting for TMGT caches and it was only a short walk on for this one. The coordinates were about 12 metres out for me and were placing me into an enclosed yard which had me scratching my head a bit. So I just used the hint and a bit of instinct and found it fairly quickly. Signed log, TFTC.
Heading home, we stopped at Westhaven to collect a couple more caches. Headed straight to this one without any problems. Tftc
After what felt like the longest day stuck in a stuffy office I decided a walk along the seafront would air me out a bit, and of course grab a cache along the way. It was a lovely day for a walk, enough of a breeze to cancel out the heat, meaning by the time I arrived at GZ I was not too hot and sweaty.
I wandered over in the rough direction of the cache, saw what I thought was the appropriate area and started a search. It was moments before I spotted what seemed appropriate and just a few moments on top of that before I was signing the log. Thanks for the cache. #922
