#19908. This wasn't on "the list", but we were passing, so stopped to make the find. Someone watching tennis nearby came over to see if we were prospective hall-hirers, though he recognised that we both had GPS receivers, so figured we were probably geocachers (which we confirmed). Took a while to spot the cache, but got there in the end. TFTC.

26-Apr-21
Found with StreetWalkerNZ as we travel from Nelson to Brightwater, Wakefield and beyond, (then back again). Our object today is to find the ad labs in the area as well as solved puzzles and anything else that takes our fancy Smile.
As we were driving past, we stopped to look for the cache. Muggled in the process, but the muggle had seen our GPSrs and wondered if we were geocachers. SW tracked this one down. TFTC.

Down low or up high, where will it be? Cleaned some spiderwebs before spotting the container. Should come back one day to play Tennis Smile
Container and log in great conditions. Just coming from a House viewing in Brightwater and had some minutes only to find a cache, this one fitted in nicely.

20-Nov-20
I always enjoy coming to this area. Have I been here for a cache before. I can't quite remember? Not that coming back is a problem, found in a nice shady spot. TFTC

Hmmm big day of caching and all devices were losing power fast and we searched the porch all over several times to no avail. Time to dnf but shellsadventure and I have to try one last time. It's a stretch but surely if we keep looking we will find. We were getting watched by muggles. It was dark. We left with another find for the day tftc. #41 for the day.

This one took forever to find. As if i was on my own would have been impossible to get to. Perhaps the Difficulty rating needs slightly changing?.
last one of the day for us. TFTC

I've been here before! Was that cache archived and another installed? (checks publish date)... Yep!
Statue of Zeus found...

Taybeedragon and are in Nelson yet again - three objectives this time. Some lab caches, a challenge cache, and hunting down the wonders of the world. With the geocaching app, the wonders are easy - each time we find a cache we removed its wonder from the filter, leaving only wonders we hadn't found yet - made for a nice fast solution.
Oh - and to find a rare cache type. So rare, that in all my 14,000 finds, I had only ever found one other. Now it's two. Modern Wonders found, now working the Ancient.

15-Aug-20
Hey been here before. Was checking out the trees before checking out the hint. OK not here so redirected our search in there. Finally caught up with this elusive one and left our calling card. Cheers

Another weekend exploring Nelson with The Seagnoid, Zara and Toby. Early start from Blenheim on Saturday. We are after The Wonders of the World, some LAB caches, also Nanzies Event to visit our caching family and visiting family in Motueka. Cold morning and beautiful days made for an awesome weekend.

07-Aug-20
Out on a quick lunchtime caching trip and back to a place I first (and last) visited about six years ago to the day for a now-archived cache.

School was most definitely 'out' and with no tennis players either I had the place to myself to take a good look.

Not there, or there, or there....Ah, there you are!

Thanks Sidewaze

Quick find on a nice afternoon caching

24-Jun-20
I stopped here a couple of weeks ago after finding a few other caches. It was only as I pulled up i thought about the fact it was now dark, the torch in the car and my cellphone both had flat batteries so all I had was a dim glow on the GPS screen. I had a bit of a look before giving up and going to find a Seagnoid railway cache that would be easier to find in the dark. Back after work today in daylight and spotted it straight away. Retrieving was a bit harder but found a tool nearby that allowed me to get it. Thanks Sidewaze

GK was on his way home from work and it is a fairly rare day that this area is not in use by locals, so as there was no one around he called in to have a look.
The cache was an easy find for him, so all in all it was a quick visit for a successful find.
He signed the log and returned it to where he found it ready for the next person.
We are sure we have been near here to find another cache in years gone past, but it was not in the same spot.
We do enjoy visiting these old school buildings as we travel around the country, but funny how it is we don't really tend to visit them in our own home town. We drive past them and know that they are there, but don't really take the time to stop and have a look around.
Thanks for placing this cache and thanks for the smiley

I disabled my caches during Level 4 lockdown to encourage everyone to do the right thing. Now we’re moving to Level 3 I’m going to leave the decision to search for a cache or not to each individual. Remember you still need to stay in your bubble and a bit of hand sanitiser before and after handling a cache would be appropriate. Keep yourself and others safe.

Tregearp and I had looked for this one sometime previously without success. We were passing today and stopped and had a quick find - the sunglasses are still there. Some wasp nests too but not near the cache. All in good order, signed log and replaced as found. Thanks Sidewaze for the cache.

29-Dec-19
Had looked for this previously but today while SJT_NZ and I were heading home after a walk it was a quick find, Thanks Sidewaze for the cache

28-Dec-19
Out on a maintenance run. One replaced and the other one there. Then home via this cache and a vegiestop. There were sunglasses near the cache which we left but logging incase the last finder left them.
Thanks.

24-Dec-19
Went out to check on a couple of caches that had DNF/maintainance reports on them after spending yesterday and today pruning our hedge. After sorting those caches, we needed to pass this one on the way home so of course we had to stop for it as we haven't done any caching for a couple of weeks. Nice quick find here. tftc

19-Dec-19
Hazedarus had this one in his hands before I even decided where to start my search so all I had to do was make sure my name was on the log. I recall finding another cache here several years ago too.
Thank you Sidewaze.

19-Dec-19
I recall finding a cache here years ago. We parked on the grounds and followed the GPS. With the coords spot on it was a quick find. Not one for the Cretan Runners. I always think of them with these caches Big Grin Thank you Sidewaze

14-Dec-19
Quick find using the hint here - could only replay be high or low I guess and there were no problems. No heroics from me today, left the cape at home anyway...... TFTC Sidewaze!

Another day in Nelson/Tasman today, and the aim is to get some bike friendly ones. So I targeted a few trails and loops, then winged the rest of the day. Brightwater was the general area today, as there are also a few COs that I want to increase my find tallies on, and this area was a good start. A handful of DNFs but overall pretty happy with about 35 found. Thanks all COs.

Nup, the velcro is just for decoration .

I've previously found the last iteration of a cache here so was pleased to be back here for another visit. Nice and quiet here this afternoon and after heading into the area I quickly spotted the cache and stepped up to the challenge of finding it. Added my name to the list and replaced as found. Not sure it's in the intended place as there's a Velcro strip attached, but replaced as found. T F T C Sidewaze.

Am over the hill during the week for a change, it's normally weekend visits only. This time the former cacher known as nightowl19 is signing her intention to join the NZDF in RNZAF and is doing her fitness testing and briefs at the Nelson Careers office. That took a few hours and was most enlightening, and after a bite of lunch in Richmond it was time to split up for other duties. Both adults of capperz had to 'secretly' get each others xmas presents, from the same shop I suspect. So, I decided to do a large inefficient loop of 5 caches and get to the shops just before pick-up time.

Out finding the nearby Multi when an awful lot of rain started falling out of the sky.
Well, now I'm in the neighbourhood lets go have a look.
Thankfully a sheltered search area. Definitely nobody thinking of playing tennis today.
Only $2 per hour for a game. Cheap as chips.
Now off home to dry out.

01-Dec-19
Big Grin FTF Big Grin Nice one! I was mowing the lawn when this cache was published but when I was done I checked my phone and saw it. Jumped in the car and headed for GZ. There were a few people playing tennis on the back courts but no one on the courts out front so I could approach the cache location unobserved. Found the cache after a short search. TFTC, Biggles.
