It's a stunning day to pull out the bike and get out on the trail. Was looking for a secret spot, but then it jumped out at me. TFTC
I found this cache on my Mega Walk #28 - a 23,000 step walk through Hawkestowe, South Morang and Keon Park. Continuing on the path up to Childs Road, my next stop was here. I just liked the placement of this one so much. Never have I seen one of these types of containers fit in so well. Thanks from D B-A
With much thanks to RoamingHowie, the cache has been returned to normal. RoamingHowie kindly replaced a missing component while we, the CO, are travelling Oz.
Things dont always pan out as you expect them to. Today was definitely one of those days. I found myself in the area all day and night and managed to pop out for some fresh air and a quick bite to eat. It was late and hardly anyone was around. I needed to clear my head and since I was just around the corner I stopped in here.My mind was on other things so it took me much longer to find the cache than it should have. It appears one part of the cache seems to be missing leaving the log exposed although it was still in good condition. I did a quick search nearby to see if it was lying around but didnt have any replacements with me so it will need a CO visit.A big thanks goes to napier92 for taking the time to add Pedalling along Darebin Creek Trail to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Nominations for the **2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards** are now open and will close on **17 April 2024**. I parked across the road near the Dyson's bus depot and made the walk to GZ. Great clue and a superb hide that blends in well. Log signed and a great hide. TFTC
Busy... busy... busy! Christmas is almost here and lots to do still... hardly any time for caching but I had to get out this morning and find a heap of caches if I was going to earn the *December Solstice souvenir*. And so I was up early and heading over the the City of Whittlesea where I still had lots of caches to look for. The first hour was really productive... every cache a quick find... but not so the next couple of hours. As is the way of caching, my targets were either hard to find or possibly missing... Still, with perseverance, I got there... I got the souvenir. Thanks **napier92** for this cache... a nice easy find.
We seem to be on this side of town quite a bit lately. Once we had done what was needed, GT37 reminded me that she needed a cache for her streak so we decided to find one whilst we were here and leave those closer to home for another day. We found the cache without any problems. Great hide, thank you for placing it.
Here we are again. Papi4506 and I had some errands to run so we grabbed a cache whilst we were here. So pleased we did as this was a fun hide. Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.
That was tiny even though I was pretty sure just where to look.
Thanks for the fun napier92

Arrived to Thomastown for an afternoon walk and a few caches. This one blends in really well!
Easy find for a walking cyclist, but had heaps of trouble getting the log out. Might be to do with the end of native logging in Victoria: David
Was pedaling along the Darebin Creek Trail and decided this was a good spot for a short break and cache. I looked in all the obvious places before reading the hint and instantly spotting it. Blends in so well.

I was needing a few more finds in the Whittlesea LGA to try and qualify For one of the Mega challenges so I decided to head back over this way and go for a ride along some of the trails.
I stopped by this one on my travels and was able to find it, the log was signed and I was on my way to the next one.
**Thanks to napier92 for placing this cache.**

After finding a certain cache on the other side of town I had some maintenance business to attend in Woodlands then in Whittlesea and to finish of the WEGT trail that has been on my radar for awhile
I have been laid up with a bung knee so not much walking could be done lately but finally it has recovered enough to get me out and about and finding a few caches.
Continuing my travels along McKimmies Road picking off green dots on my map that I pass.
This one is the last one for the day and I must admit it did take me longer than it should have as I looked else where before spotting the sneaky cache.
The log is full on this one.
A fav goes out to you for this clever cache.
Thanks napier62 TFTC.
We’re all going to Rutherglen to participate in Victoria’s next Mega!

Tracks were quiet today which was good! I have to say this cache kept me thinking for a bit and almost had me stumped.
No pedalling here tonight.
After a 7 km hike through Plenty Gorge this was almost a park and grab.

Nice walk on a quiet path, it's not the fine day that was expected. TFTC. Great placement. Walked past 20 metres to avoid muggles, which made easy spot, reach & sign. Walk back to the tennis club for the car TFTC
Out on the Geo-EUC filling in the calendar while in the city for work. Recommend pedalling the tracks if you can. I did 44k into the CBD from Epping, all on the trails. TFTC.
Love the concept of this cache. My pen is nearly dry but I left a small mark at no. 21 in the log. Thanks for the cache
This was the first of this little cluster of 3 for me today while on my walk along the bike path. A surprisingly quick find of the sneakily 'camoed' stash at 14:30 and it was off to number 2.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks napier92.

This was a lovely hide! Log book a bit full to sign, but the cache was brilliant!
Geo Grandkids had it worked out before we got there, but couldn’t quite get their hands on it.

This was a clever hide and we liked it, a favourite from us,
A nice walk from across the road and after admiring the info we found the cache.
The mist was still annoying us, but it was so fine.

A great day out with Omegaman1971, Our trip last weekend got canceled due to the five day lock down so we were glad we could get out again this weekend, we had a great day out exploring new areas.
This is one of the caches we found on our travels.
Thanks napier92 for the cache.

Walking along the bike track and then crossed McKimmies Road. A little further on and I came to GZ. A glance to make sure I was mostly unobserved and then a quick grab. I retreated to sign the log elsewhere given the length of time they always take to re-pack.
Nice hide... well placed. We overlooked the second side, initially. Go figure.
A fav point because it’s so in your face!

Kato Potato and I had booked accommodation in Mill Park for the Whittlesea MEGA event.....non-refundable accommodation which thankfully opened up to us regional Victorians this very week. Despite not being able to attend the now-cancelled MEGA, we got back in the saddle of geocaching and realised how much we'd missed it in 2020.
A final cache on this trail as my knee was giving in on me. We guessed what this would be as we approached and were utterly delighted to be right. TFTC napier92 a favourite point for the fun

After a particularly long caching hiatus thanks to COVID-19, Mummy Short Legs and I finally got to hit the road again for our annual caching weekend away. This weekend was originally planned to be celebrated with the nearby Mega event, cancelled for obvious reasons. We still had an accommodation booking though and thought waste not, want not! A great weekend away and an opportunity to just enjoy the area.
I was getting to the point of desperation at this stage of our walk, given the lack of open toilet facilities in the area (shakes fist at COVID). I am so glad we made it to this point of the trail though, because this one tickled my funny bone. I spotted something on the approached but thought, no surely not! That's just too in your face. But it was it! Golden job napier92. Favourite for placement.

Had to travel across to Campbellfield this morning to drop some essential deliveries off and stopped to stretch my legs on the way back.
A quick find of a very nice hide, had me looking in a number of logical locations before I spotted something that looked out of place
Cache logged with sanitised hands.

It was lovely and sunny this afternoon... and I was indoors helping a friend make the leap from his old feature phone and almost defunct tablet to a shiny new smartphone. He's gonna hate it.
Anyway...
I finally rode out the gate as the sun was setting, and the temperature cooling rapidly. But I warned up fairly quickly, especially once I'd gone over the Ring Road on the bridge to the west.
A few finds later, and I reached the Darebin Creek. Now, I've cached, played Ingress and ridden the creek trail many times and tonight, was impressed by two things: firstly, that the squares of reflective tape I placed near the entrance to the trail are holding up surprisingly well, and the trail and the creek in general continue to be improved by various interest groups.
A mate of mine drove for the bus company over yonder.
This takes the prize as the cheekiest hide tonight by far, napier92. Well played indeed... a prime example of hiding in plain sight.

I have seen one cache very much like this, and it was in NSW. Very good and thanks napier92. A fave coming your way.
With uncertain times ahead and the weather being spot on, we needed to get the geoboys out to expel some energy (for everyone's sanity!!). Fortunately, we live just off this track, so it was the perfect spot to set them free without having to worry about maintaining social distancing. Geoboys found it, I retrieved it. TFTC napier92!
Parking was tricky here, best to do on bike, great hide

Always nice to make a find after a dnf. Spotted straight away. Continued along the trail but upon returning past, noticed it’d been moved. We are not alone! Lol.
Replaced it back where it should be according to the hint.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, napier92

Well I didn't go away anywhere for the long weekend and neither did OzHockeyChick. So today we went on a bike ride along a couple of trails and this was one of them.
After completing the aqueduct trail in Research/Eltham area we headed over here for another nice and not too hilly ride. It was a busy little trail along here today with the beautiful weather but it was handy having the bikes and a companion so we looked a lot less suspicious.
Took a few seconds to notice this one and on the way back we noticed it had moved so we put it back again to match the hint.
Thanks napier92 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Just riding by for a quick check...Cache has gone missing in the last couple of days. I will replace.
Out and about with Trailstevo, on a 10km walk, which went wrong and ended up at 16km. Having reviewed the map and seen a few more cache being published in the area I thought we would do a lap. Certainly know we had covered some distance by the time we got back, but were rewarded with 14 (I think ) cache. Two of which were prior DNFs. Thanks for the exercise and adventure Napier92.
You better be tall is all I can say ! Found with caching friend OzArtek.

Another find with 2peasinapod2012. And again I found it. Maybe its cause I've got new glasses, . TFTC napier92.
Well, that 10km walk with Gunks to do a Mill Park loop collecting caches turned into a 16km trek. Found all except one. Good mixture of hides. Plenty of muggles out early but got a bit lonelier once darkness descended. TFTC
At completely the wrong informative sign. I wasted quite a bit of time searching high and low. Then the penny dropped. TFTC Napieryh92
Found the cache after a bit of searching. I didn't have the tools to extract the log but was able to record it as a find with the CO's permission. TFTC.
Out with xambo4u, we set out early to cache in Mill Park. A lovely day with some interesting caches along the way. On foot, not bike, we encountered a problem which we were able to solve without much difficulty. Thanks napier92
Out and about with echidna44 for an other enjoyable day of caching. This was our last for the day and you cant end on a no find. We spied where it was but where was that stool. Back at the car and we were tired. There should have been a utube going for a good laugh. Two 70 plus ladies trying to make the retrieve and return. Success with the cache and ending rolling around laughing. That is what caching has bought to use friendship and fun. Thanks napier92 for all your variety of caches and spaces that you have led us today.
Nothing like a good ride along the track. Spotted just there.
BNSOS....
Thanks to napier92 and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
It has been many years since I have not had to work on Christmas Eve. All my preparations for tomorrow have been delegated to my sons and I am free to geocache for a few hours.
Plenty of information to read while waiting for muggles to pass by and then I quickly signed the log and returned the cache.
Thank you napier92 for this well camouflaged cache.

I know grasslands are an important habitat for many plants and animals, but they are so uninviting. Today was mild, so the lack of shade didn't matter, but even then I'd take my walk in Warrendyte in 38 degree heat yesterday over this. But enough of the grouching - it's a good hide. Thanks napier92

Read the E-mail at about 9.30pm and noticed no-one had found this cache, so I thought I would give it a go. Jumped on the Geo-motorcycle and rode right to GZ. Motorcycle Geocaching really makes it so much easier. A quick search in the dark soon had the little blighter in hand. It blends in really well. Great bike path. Thanks for the thrill of getting an FTF.
