No planes, but a lovely day to look.We missed it going south, and had to backtrack to smiltise this one.
Cool place to stop on our way north. Quick park and grab. Saw a plane on the ground. TFTC
On a caching journey up to the north with Supernannny and Net61 to find some caches. Many kilometres were driven over a few days and many caches were found. Thanks to all the cache owners for the placements. Another quick park and grab as we headed up north. TFTC
Quick easy find with good hint!Making our way to the Far North...No planes to see today....
On our trip through New Zealand today a trip to Cape Reinga. For us the most northern point we wanted to visit. Thank you very much to CO for making it possible to do our shared hobby here. With warm geocache greetings from the Netherlands
Fun to see the plane here today as we headed away from the cape. Tiny wee thing. I didn't know you could fly up here. TFTC
14:15The Swiss cacher family with Spiess, J_walk, MsSophie and Drayah visited also New Zealand and this cache. TFTC!

Looks like a very tidy operation. The plane was quietly waiting for some activity, but it was all quiet when we were there. Cache is all good. TFTC
stop on our way north. No activity while we were logging.
Thank you for the cache

A quick find. I think the airstrip needs to be mowed.
I’m on a roadie north to complete the PWGT and find other interesting caches - oldies, puzzles and ones at interesting places.
Kia ora rawa atu for the cache thedbees.

We are staying in the Bay of Islands this week, and decided to take a trip up to Kaitaia and Cape Reinga. We missed the best parking place on our way north, so stopped by on our return from the Cape. Quick find here, thanks.
Out on a maintenance run checking all the Nalawod caches I have adopted. Today was north of Awanui to the top. Replaced log and now all is good with this one.
My friend was heading up this way on a maintenance run having just taken over the nalawood caches. I enthusiasticly joined in as I have been meaning to come back up this way for ages. My last visit was in 2018 and there have been quite a lot of caches placed since then.
Lucky we weren't flying in or out from this airstrip. I'd feel a bit worried about any plane that could land here. Nice to get another cache at this location. I looked at the wrong brace at first but soon found the cache. The new CO replaced the log for me here. Thanks for adopting all these caches

One of several caches we located today between Pukenui and the “very top” of NZ. A quick find. I also made a note that the logbook is very soggy! #4667. TFTC.
No flying today. Roads very quiet. Only seen a couple of vehicle, and no planes. Quick snag and tag here. Cheers
Day 7, Wednesday 26 January - Tokerau to Cape Rienga and back today with Toby and Lenny. Then over to Mangonui and Hihi before returning to Tokerau Beach. Zara gets a rest at Tokerau Beach. Got caught in a cloud burst later today. Incredible after 15min of rain there were creeks running down the side of hills as wide as Toby where there was green grass earlier. Then it was crossing the road over 150 to 200mmm deap and there were 3 crossings withina 1 kilometer stretch. So lets get exploring!
Zara, Toby, Lenny and I are on our North Island expidition for a couple of weeks. Got The Seagnoid along for the first 4 days, heading to the Auckland Mega. PWGTs and TMGTs are on the radar for this trip. Lots of driving on gravel roads and visited lots of amazing places on our 6000km road trip snagging 200+ caches along the way. Visiting Cape Reinga, Bay of Islands, Gisborne and White Rock along our journey. Another awesome trip. Thanks to all CO's.

Quick park and grab on our way back from Cape Reinga (parking is better heading south). TFTC
Great little cache and easy park and grab. Due to parking would recommend stopping on the way back from the Cape. The log was saturated. TFGC
Log book very wet. Safer parking and grabing when heading back south. TFTC Found with Yvettetb and Travelbugtribe
I rocked up to find a muggle parked at GZ, one quick stare at me and he was off - maybe he was up to no good and didn't want a witness. quick find and off we go hunting for Mr P on his bike.
Today I decided to travel up to Cape Reinga to locate and sign off a few caches.
On my way up to the Cape there was no plane here but on my way back down it was.
Cheers for the cache.

The weather was pretty rubbish, but since we had planned to go to Cape Reinga today and our future plans had been altered somewhat because of the sudden lock down, we figured we might as well head that way anyway and just hope the worst of the weather had passed.
As it happened, the weather improved more and more as we returned so we did a slow crawl back, caching as we went.
No sign of any planes today so we'll just have to keep driving . But at least this way we have another cache find under our belts.
Thanks for putting this here for us to find

A quick easy find today. Log was a bit damp. I am glad this one has been replaced - I had found the original hide so it's great to add another smiley to the list. TFTC.
Day 3 of our trip. Group of Team Seac came up for the weekend. Really enjoyed our day out seeing our beautiful country.
Sorry for the generic logs, but thank you for taking time to put the cache out, and for bringing us here. All logs signed as “SEAC”.

With the mega being postponed a plan was hatched for some of the Team SEAC crew to head north for some fun. Today was day 3 and was a BIG day for a lot of reasons...we set off at 7.30am and got back to our accommodation at 9.00pm but more importantly NZTravellers were going to celebrate their 6000th cache, I was going to hit my 3500th cache and it was 6 years to the day since most of us first met on a caching day out to Rangitoto Island!
We were now heading in the general direction of 'home' and made a quick find.
Thanks for the cache.

With the Mega being postponed we decided to head North with the team SEAC members and see what we could find in the way of caches. We based ourselves at Cable Bay making day trips to the various spots around Northland.
Our ultimate destination today was Spirits Bay and Cape Reinga.
All Logs signed SEAC to save log paper.

Out with Team SEAC on a long weekend raid of the upper north island. This was day 3 caching in which we cached around the very top of the North Island. This was a quick find following the hint. Signed Team SEAC to save space. TFTC.
Day three of our caching adventure to the far north.....with a group from Auckland, venturing up as the Mega Event was postponed due to Covid - 19 and we just had to get caching.
Headed over to this cache, signed in and onto the next....Thanks for bringing us here, a place we might not have otherwise have visited.
Signed in as team 'SEAC' in order to save logbook space.
Thanks for bringing us here to somewhere we might otherwise not have visited.

No planes on the ground here when we stopped to grab the cache - but there were about seven in the air when we were up at the Cape. Such a clear sunny day, their views would have been amazing. TFTC
On our way to Cape Reinga we saw another new cache but this one has no entry in it !!!!!!

We stepped out of the car, a man just opened the door and we also saw the airstrip. The man told us, every day at 2 p.m. the small aircraft comes. We talked to him a while. He also knows the GZ of the cache this might have bin there before. And we learned what a strainer post is
Thx for the new cache.
