Very cool hide. Got distracted by another interesting hiding spot but soon found the right one. TFTC!
DNF we think it may have been taken away as wee found something that looked like the spot
I left Hahndorf and it was misty, but it didnt deter me, I had to get out for some air and a walk. I came to Mount Barker to have another go at #1, this time with inside knowledge. I was still unable to find it. With #2 and #3 found, I continued walking in the rain and made it to this one. It was hanging out, so after signing I returned it to be flush.
Thanks for the cache hevwalker. Cache in average condition, book all good. Find #8857 at 4.59pm

This one was a lot of fun. The geo kids didn't know caches could be like this. No way I would've found without the clue
This was my last cache for the day and it was so nearly a DNF. I walked along the shared trail which, incidentally, did not appear on Google Maps! I quickly worked out where the cache 'should' be based on the cache information, but there was nothing there. I checked and double checked - nope, still nothing. I was about to walk away when I realised that something I had taken for some rubbish on the floor was actually the cache. I have no idea why it was on the floor but it has been returned to a likely spot given the hint. TFTC hevwalker
Nice sunday walk to the wetlands with the geo-fam. Bonus to pick up some caches along the way. TFTC.
Again, accurate coordinates and the interesting hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks hevwalker for the cache.
Checked my cache while in town today. Still in place as it should be. I have replaced the logbook.
Sneaky one
It's now school holidays!! Woohoo!! Today me and my mum set off to Mount Barker to find some caches! First pitstop was lunch at Carl's Jr. It was yummy, I even got a free burger!

A clever hide that took some extracting. Maybe a replacement log might be in order in the near future. Thank you for the placement of this cache hevwalker find number 7481 at 17 March 2021 3:13 pm
A nice day to be caching in Mt Barker, the temp being 28°C here, while it was 36°C down in Adelaide .
An almost instant find . TNLNSL.
Thanks again Hevwalker.

This evening, I headed to Mount Barker to visit a new few reserves and areas. It was a nice evening, and as it started to get dark, I headed home.
I parked nearby on the sidestreet, and made the short jog to GZ. I started searching around whilst thinking about some of the other log comments, having a strong suspicion what it may be. It was sort of along the lines to what I was thinking in the end, and found within a few minutes of visiting GZ. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks hevwalker for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

We planned a day out caching not thinking it would rain but alas the rain appeared to set in when we were out and about so a diversion to do some shopping in Mt Barker and of course we tackled a couple of caches whilst there!

found after work. Last one for the day. The muggle school kids are coming. quick find but not what i was expecting.
Find the odd one out. Took us a couple of minutes, but we got it.... on to next cache. TFTC
Sadly the train is not tracking through just now.
But quite a few people are exercising (at a distance) alongside the tracks.
A nice neat hide, found quickly, but well hidden from muggles
Only finding caches at an acceptable social distance,
Stay away from humans

Found with the help of Purrfect Di.
The geoson was perplexed by this hide, he had no idea what to make of it, which made this father who had seen such a hide before very happy!

When you are the right angle, you can see this one. That's all you need to be!
Thanks to hevwalker and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
Now where could it be? Some distraction occurred with all the bright new shiny plantings but eventually the clever cache was in hand. TFTC
Mr Tardis & gridge98 were hijacked by freddo and Trigger_Fish, off for a leap day caching adventure starting at 4am and caching until the evening when Mr Tardis's brain and body stopped functioning. Leap days do strange things to geocachers.
Mr Tardis eagle eyes spotted this one within a few seconds of arriving. Mojo or dumb luck? Mojo! No glasses required.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache hevwalker.
PS: Sorry for taking over a year to log my find. I really need to get my logging more organised!

Aussie Day holiday outing with Pony1966. Now we know what the hint me means! TFTC
Find No. 3019. Found with FUF009 at 3.57pm
On our annual holidays to South Australia for the Tour Down Under Bicycle Race and staying in Mount Barker Caravan Park for the week.
We arrived on Saturday and that evening while walking around the streets we worked out the multi's around town. By the time we finished it was getting dark so we had to leave the finals for another day.
Today is a Rest Day for the race and we had plans but alas with the drizzly rain our plans were changed. When the rain stopped we decided to go for a walk and grab a few caches. We managed to get 12 for the afternoon after walking 10 ks around town. We ended up with 8 multi's, and 4 trads. Included in these we were able to find 2 that were previous DNF's from years gone by.
This was a different hide to the other Train Track ones and one we spotted quite easily seeing how we have found these types of hides before. Log signed and off we now walk somewhere to a bakery. With FUF009 leading the way today we were just following on behind taking in the sights of Mount Barker as we walk.
(No. 7 of 12 for the day)

Find # 8735
Over in SA, with Tyred n Cranky, for the Tour Down Under and as normal Mount Barker is our Home for the week.
Saturday we walked the streets and got most of the Newer multi's sorted that are around the town but it got late and we only got one of them found that night.
So today after the rain and drizzle had stopped we decided to get out of the cabin and go stretch the legs a bit.
Ended up with 12 finds (8 multi and 4 trads) we had 2 caches that were previous DNFs from years gone by. It was a long and enjoyable 10k walk around the town.
We wondered what happened to "Train Tracks #1" as we could only see 2,3 and 4 on the map. it was soon apparent that the bridge we walked under had an old cache on it we had found back in 2018..... arr that is now #1.
Gottal love a cache hide like this[^][^]. I don't know how many of this style of hide I have found and also how many decoy ones I've discovered too.
Man, we have walked all down this rail line and not one single train has passed us. must be a slow line hay?

Day 240
My caching goals for 2020. May as well aim high.
Complete the Calendar to have found both a mystery and a multicache on every day. Should be able to do one probably not both. [^]
After filling the calendar to have a minimum of 5 caches per day last year, let's try for 11 this year. Possible but not probable.
So today I needed to find another multicache and a few others.
After watching yet another dismal performance by the Adelaide 36ers I set out into the night to find some caches to cheer me up. The GPS had me a little off where I needed to be but it didn't take long to spot the cache hide. I have one of these in my bag of tricks ready to go.
***Thanks hevwalker for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***
Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

Had organised to come up to Mt Barker and surrounds with Michells&hound to find some of the newer caches that we both hadn't found. We had a shaky start, but once we got into the swing we ended up having a successful day, although we had to resort to a couple of PAF's.
The day was mostly spent visiting churches and old buildings and I ended up finding 11 multis the most I have ever found in a day.
After not finding #1 then getting the previous 2 we stopped here before heading back to #1. A quick find right where the hint said it would be.
Thanks for the cache hevwalker.

Today was a day of caching in and around Mount Barker with JJ52. I think my caching mojo was way off, navigation skills poor (missed both turnoffs to Mount Barker too busy chatting so a bit of a detour to Callington!), cache hunting poor, meaning more than one Paf. But in the end 19 caches found by me and 25 by JJ52. It was a good day out despite the heat. Lots of multis found, lots of churches visited and lots of Mount Barker history gleaned.
Clever hide exactly where hint said it would be. TFTC Hevwalker

Today I headed up the freeway to do a few selected caches mostly in the Littlehampton, Nairne and Mount Barker areas, but some a bit further afield. I was a bit surprised at just how busy it was, but I guess it is Sunday, nearly Christmas and a nice mild day so everyone is out and about.
I managed to visit a number of earthcaches and complete a few multis, traditionals and letterbox caches. All were found easily and were in good condition.
Thanks hevwalker for the cache.
