Found by The Empire + HThe morning after the Warrnambool running festival, we set off on a longer journey, driving from Warrnambool to Murray Bridge. Our route takes us through the quiet, scenic roads of western Victoria, offering us a peaceful escape as we begin our journey. Crossing the border feels like a subtle but significant transition. The open road welcomes us into South Australia, and we pass the border sign with a small sense of accomplishment, marking the next stage of our journey. Thanks for the cache GeocachingSA.-M
TFTC need to be a little taller would help alot had to laugh at EL900 who is caching with us he needs platform boots that would help.
Find # 15930Been a while since I've been out solo for a long trip. But things change over time. And I'm living the past.So with some time off work, I've jumped the border wall to chase down some long trails in South Aussie... don't know how many I'll get. But I've got quite a few downloaded. I do have a short hit list ( of 2) caches to help with a challenge. All others are just for the Adventure and countryside views. Armed with all the necessary TOTT from tweezers and magnet grab to 6m ladder and 8m fishing pole. I believe I'm prepared for all that I'll come across. (Just had to leave the Kayak at home )Day 7. Naracoorte to HomeA day to take in the sites of the Naracoorte area before jumping back over the border. To head for home. Grabbing the odd cache along the way. Yep sure is no man's land here.... ????TFTC GeoVenture2020
After completing a personal challenge in SA of finding 10,000 physical caches there we are now heading from Beachport back to Portland via Penola aiming to grab a few caches along the way on roads not normally traveled if the weather permits. As the cache page says we parked before the sign so we were obviously still in the state of SA.Not being sure whether we had the right equipment for this one we headed off anyway just as the rain started to drizzle. We had a hunt around where the hint said but didn't spot anything. The rain was now starting to get quite heavy and as we were about to declare it a dnf we spotted something not where we expected it to be so we quickly added our name to the log and returned it a bit higher than it was but didn't feel like getting the TOTT out in this rain to put it back where we think it should be,Thanks GeoVenture2020 for the cache.
We are travelling with richlink as part of our Annual Caravan Geocaching trip using geocaching as our guide. We love touring these great back roads. Thanks for the cache. LNCU.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA. This is our kind of caching - back country roads. Thanks for the hideLNCU
Found at 3:28 PM GAFF1.Another interesting high altitude cache - but wait was it really? Thanks to GeocachingSA
Found on a rather dull day. Log signed and cache replaced as found. Thanks for the Traditional Cache GeoVenture2020
The first attempt on the way to Robe for a week - and if nose bleed means high we had no ladder nor a passing giraffe, so...disappointment at the start for GrahamT and TrudyJane
This one has been on my to do list for ages.
In a final nod to my SA friends and bookending this trip I did the deed.
Cheers

I had looked at quite a few caches before leaving home and this was one. So to be prepared I put a TOTT in the cache mobile.
After changing states, I purchased another TOTT and that one proved useful with this cache.
Spotted by VK7HCH but retrieved by me.
Thanks for the cache!

Valentine's Day.
SL at 10:25am. Day out with DarthVader69 heading eventually to Mt Gambier with caching along the way of course. I knew where this one was as last time we didn't have the right TOTT with us. Today we conquered! I really do wonder what goes through drivers minds when they see this going on here, haha! TFTC!

SA Mega weekend with sir_spectre, a huge weekend of catchups and hunting geocaches. At different times over the 5 day weekend we joined up with other teams caching as either the misfits or mystery randoms depending on the numbers of people and who organised.
Unfortunately the weather was very typical of the south east and put many teams off exporing the forests and some great creative caches were only found by a few teams.
For me this was a little bit different than for others as I lived in the south east for 15 years and worked in Penola, Millicent and Mount Gambier. Strangely this also meant I kept running into people I knew each day.
Lots of wildlife seen, wombats, echidnas, snakes, kangaroos and wallabies. Luckily the snakes in particular kept leaving the paths as we were walking.
Thanks to the Mega committee for all of their hardwork organising and the many locals who have placed and maintained caches (this includes me )
Thanks to GeoVenture2020 from mogni

Stopped talked to the border guards. the cache was only 43 meters in front of them. Got the ladder out and climbed up.
Sunday. Today's target was to get to Penola for the Celebrating in Penola event and the Plant a Tree- Greenrise CITO event plus a few targeted higher terrian caches and of course any others we passed. The adventure lad caches where also done in Penola even though they weren't on the plan. The weather today was filled with rain off and on but that didn't stop me and Mogni. I was glad we had the 4x4 instead of Mogni car for the trip.

But given the hint and I am only 5ft 2 I don’t think I would have been able to reach it!!!!!! TF TC anyway.
On a very sad day after we fixed up Rex’s grave at the farm we headed out for a nice lunch at Upstairs at Hollicks to make a toast to our beloved hound.
Afterwards I convinced the husband that the hound would have wanted us to follow up with a few finds in his honor. We collected 5 before heading home to cry a little more.

As the SA border is closed to Victoria getting closer to GZ we came across the border patrols. After a quick chat to them about what we were doing and that we only needed to go 50 metres further, they allowed us to do so. TFTC
Came across the boarder unplanned as were are in the middle of walking the route of the Major Mitchell Trail which was cancelled today due to unforeseen circumstances.... a nice alternative today.
A quick park and grab, luckily we had all our equipment on board.

First find for the day out caching with team Syklen, very pleased to be able to deal with the cache during a lull in passing traffic.
A beautiful Autumn day spent caching with Nicko57 towards Penola and south to Nangwarry.....and we were chauffeured as well.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch at a cafe in Penola too.
Very easy to see this cache....not so easy to reach with our the right TOTT which fortunately Nicko57 had
Many thanks for the hide GeoVenture2020

Yeah !!
I could see this cache was on the borderline !!
And in the words of John McEnroe,
*"You've gotta be kidding me !!"*
Even I could see the cache.
Why couldn't I claim the cache find ?? [:o]
Grumble, grumble, grumble ...
... back to the geomobile I went
Even standing on the geomobile's roof wasn't going to net me this find
The ref's spoken !!
DNF !!

After a big weekend caching an camping in the mallee, I was headed for home grabbing a few last caches.
My last find of the weekend as I crossed back into Victoria, and finally got to use that ladder I've been carting around all weekend
Thanks GeoVenture2020

Well the name says it all - "borderline Madness" Borderline Rd, a different red line on the Cachly map and a stout sign announcing a "change of state!' The time change according to one of our leading telco's simply added a little more confusion.
Our thanks to 'GeoVenture2020' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.

First ro find on the 17rh of December 2019.
We turned down a side road to turn around to get closer to GZ and during the turn around time another car appeared from the dark side
We came over assuming we would meet and greet and share in a.joint ftf. But as they all piled out they posed for a photo we said hi there and waited for them to move on. Straight forward cache, geez the TOTT is getting a workout lately.
We're home, we're not we're home we're not.
Thanks GeoVenture2020 for the cache. Found it, signed it and replaced as found. TNLN

If it's in Mexico, shouldn't Bunjil have been the reviewer? Or are the co-ords dodgey? lol
