Auf unserer Camper-Tour von Cairns nach Sydney haben wir hier in Bowen einen Zwischenstopp eingelegt und sind eine Runde Wandern gegangen. Hierbei sind wir auch an diesem Cache vorbeigekommen und konnten die tolle Aussicht genieen.Thanks for the Cache

The kids loved our first find

A long weekend in Airlie for Mrs Gunnie and I, we decided to head North for a day and check out this part of the country. We covered some ground and saw a lot of town, deciding we come back some time and spend a little while to enjoy what it has to offer. Mrs Gunnie is not a cacher, so while I got close to a lot of icons, this was the only one I managed to grab while we were checking out the sights. As we approached the lookout, the container was out in the open, so very easily spotted. I nipped in, added my name to the log, tucked it back and added a little more camo to at least keep it out of sight. All done, it was time to enjoy the view from the top, before continuing out sight seeing tour. Cheers TrackingTodds, while it was a little grey today, the area was fantastic and well worth a visit.

Anchored in Grays Bay for the night after leaving Gloucester Island this morning and visiting the lighthouse at North Head Island on the way. We're on our sailing trip along the Qld coast on our catamaran, Montage, from Moreton Bay. Today is Day #73 of our gap year off.
We droppe off some rubbish at the bins near the boat ramp and filled up water bottles then set off for a little walk around Horseshoe Bay. This cache was conveniently very close so we checked out the lookout, waited for a couple of muggles to pass and swooped in.
Quick find, could nearly see it from the path if you look in the right direction.

Continuing our tour around Bowen, Konie and I made our way to this cache. A quick find was made and the log signed. With everything returned as found, we continued on our way. TFTC

In the area with Selva Girls today to pick up some caches and this was one of them. Parked nearby and once at GZ made a quick find.

Just arrived in Bowen less than an hour ago and I’m already out grabbing this finds to boost me past Hosan on the leader boards and then have some finds ready to get signal out of his next problem. Quick find with me spotting the hiding hole before I even got to GZ.

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 100. Bowen day 1. Today was a day of ups and downs. I went of a few nice walks, I found some well hidden caches and I chased my tail for a few DNFs that always leaves a sour taste. I am staying by the highway, but the resorts by the bay look fantastic, maybe one day I will feel justified staying at one.

With no one on this side of the road I quickly found this cache before going up to the shelter for a look over the bay. Plenty of people over the road at the BBQs.

Looking back over our trip from WA to the CacheQld Mega, Townsville, we have a few spare moments to put a smiley on some more of the caches we have signed as TC along our journey.

Stunning table views to have a picnic with though the wind would have cleared the bench of anything on it today. Only just replaced the cache when two others arrived... we were to see these two, two more times today. TFTC TrackingTodds.

We walked an entire circuit today, and every moment was absolutely beautiful. From one view to the next!
This was our final find on the circuit and we were surprised to find two containers at GZ. One small black bison, and one 200 mill sistema. We have put the bison log inside the plastic container, so that they are together.
We then had a 500 meter walk back to where we had parked the car this morning.

Caching today in and from Bowen to Townsville as we are attending the Mega this weekend. After a short search the cache was found, the log signed and cache returned where found. TFTC. Signed as TC

Heading north for the Townsville Mega, taking 5 days and finding caches along the way. Thanks to the COs for placing these caches to show us more of your local area.

Today’s plan was to make my way from Mackay and arrive in Townsville but nightfall. Caching along the way and grabbing a few important to me caches, lol. It is just a 3.5 hr drive normally however this drive will take me all day and some. I had to be ready for work in the morning so it was a day of find what I could. Some were stops to stretch the legs. I am sorry if I did not write a note below as some caches stood out and others I just do not remember. I signed the log and replaced the cache as I found it. Thanks for placing it here.

We walked up to the look out great view of the bay... Found cache out in the open and full of water...washed cache out, installed new log and zip tie bag, and something for the kids...Replaced cache on the big rock s close to g.p.s as we could..All good here now .

Found the cache, but the container was filled with water. We poured the water out and dried all the stuff the best we could and put everything in a zip lock bag. Log was unsalvagable, will need replacing. But over all nice cache.

Went for a little bike ride from the caravan park with F&T to get this one on our first afternoon in Bowen. Nice easy find with a pretty view.

After a wonderful trip to Hamilton Island, geohubby and I stopped in Bowen for a couple of days to catch up with a muggle friend. After taking in breakfast at the local markets, we decided to quickly drop in and locate this sneaky little cache!

We clambered over the rocks and saw an ideal location, but alas, nothing was to be found. A quick further search had us in the exact location. A quick extraction, log signed, and cache returned while taking in the lovely views.

Nice quick find in a gorgeous part of the world

After a few tough searches it was nice to walk up and find one straight off. We had already had lunch, so no chance for another one here!

Today was moving day as we travelled from Airlie Beach to Bowen where we will be having a short stop. After setting up camp and a quick cuppa we set off to look around and see what caches we could find. We had forgotten what a truly beautiful place Bowen is. Incredibly spread out, but beautiful bays, lookouts and beaches spread out as well.
We experienced some tough searches and straightforward finds, with a couple of DNFs for the day.
Thank you to the local COs for establishing and maintaining the caches for us to find as we explored the area.

No picnic today but enjoyed the view thanks.

A quick park and grab, although there were plenty of muggles walking and jogging.
