Visiting Taupo from Auckland for the Kinloch offroad marathon. Sunday morning, came over here to explore, first found the cache near the seat, then continued here. Pumphouse not what we expected, a bit shrunk, but meets the description, and soon found the cache. All good here. TFTC
There is access from Acacia Bay road down the driveway between 811 and 809... But we parked on Te Kopua st and enjoyed the stroll. Found with pdnz
Lots of spots to look here but eventually spotted something out of the ordinary. Cheers
Fairly quick find - interesting structure - thanks for sharing the history tftc
Tftc! Found it a few weeks back with my sister. Bugs aren't quite her thing so it made her a little apprehensive.
Wanting a change of scenery, myself and Reschedule opted to head to Taupo for the day. We made our way around the bay, with the coordinates trying to push us into a houses back shed.We opted for the hint which had us looking all over at many different moss covered items. I headed in 1 direction, reschedule the other and he managed to locate it some distance away
Made our way down to GZ with Kiwi Does Stuff, coordinates were struggling to settle and had us off course a bit but a bit of fine tuning and rerouting we had the cache in hand. Neat walkway, TFTC
Thanks for your amazing cache leewtkinsnz. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Found with Fisha1288 Took us a while to spotEarns a Favourite from me. Cheers, Cympull.
#14,004. I am making my way south to Wellington but as you all know geocaching is not the quickest path between two points. Parked nearby and wandered down to the bush reserve. Eventually found the dollhouse size pumphouse and followed the pipe but nothing up that way. Spent a good 10 minutes searching after reading the description. Then I searched the big rock and had more success. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks leewatkinsnz for hiding it here.
I really loved this little secret walkway.....But I didn't read the description carefully...and was expecting a much larger pumphouse! All good in the end... and eventually found the cache in a logical place. Thanks for bringing me to a peaceful hidden place .
Blimey there are some expensive looking houses here, it felt a bit like intruding on their private beach. Took a bit of finding. We found it on our second pass TFTC
Visiting Acacia Bay with the Geo kids this afternoon. That pump house was hard to spot. Well camoed. After that we made a fairly quick find. Some rather nice holiday homes around here.TFTC
Geopup enjoyed the walk & swim. This one had us going until we read some previous logs & then I spotted it.
This one took a bit of searching, but after reading some previous logs managed to find the cache. Tftc
The GPS was off by quite a bit so we almost gave up. Said we were in the sea at one point so be aware. Did find in the end thanks to the clue.
Found it! Awesome, took a while as coordinates aren't too accurate, but clue in the description about the pipe helps! Tftc
School holidays so time for some travelling and caches. Hadn’t planned to visit Taupo however as the road north of Gisborne is closed we had no alternative but a long detour via Napier. Well at least it gave us the opportunity to collect some new caches in the area. Stopped further down the road and enjoyed a beautiful walk near the lake. Cache was all fine, but needed to look by the prominent hint object. Thanks for the smiley.
A lovely spot for a cache. GPS coordinates on my phone were wrong by about 12 metres. Thanks for placing the cache
Found it with grandkids having internally walked straight past.young granddaughter goes " I saw something back there .lol. this great white hunter didn't even notice .Great fun .pleasant walk.
Staying in Taupo for Easter, popped in to visit this one, no problem with the find TFTC.
The first of the day. I found this one. Container cracked and log soaked. Put a dry log i. TFTC

We drove right passed this one, so decided to grab it on the way back from the far cache we were heading to. Thankfully it was still early enough for most muggles to still be inside and we only had to contend with a few hardcore walkers, enjoying the morning. A nice quick find and we were off on our way towards the birthday event that had brought us this way. TFTC

We are staying in Acacia Bay, so took the opportunity for a walk before the rain arrives. Of course there happened to be several caches along the way.

Easy find once I located the pump house. Log was sodden so I left some new paper strips in a dry plastic bag. TFTC
Found by eagle eyed son. The container is cracked slightly though and the log is getting pretty wet and damaged. Could do with some maintenance so that it survives the winter.
Once the gps settled cache soon found signed and returned, found with ABCDF4 whilst in Taupo. TFTC.

On a week long trip up and down the middle part of the North Island. Same weekend as the Mega event in Auckland (but that's not where I ended up). Targeting a few specific caches, and a few others. This is one of them.
A nice peaceful walk this morning. GPS wouldn't settle so took a fair bit of searching to find this one. All good here. TFTC.

The cool thing is you never stop learning, in this case to read about the pump houses wHich was interesting , thx for that.
Spoiler alert: .... Try to find such a pump (housing is more the size of a large box), on lake side of track. then follow the black hose towards dwelling, and then check out the large stone close to the track

Bit of rummaging in a lot of leaf litter and found it. Leaving our tag for the next finder as a keepsake. TFTC Team Mouse
Coordinates were about 12m out for us, the description makes this find possible. Great little track.
A nice quick find thanks.
Ms_KR and I are off on a wee tour of the North Island. A lovely sunny day in Taupo today. I biked the Huka falls loop track up to SH 1 and back. I'm a bit tired after that.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Thankfully it was fairly quiet on the track, no worries about muggles. Some flash houses around here!
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
No wonder we couldn't find it last time we were miles away-no probs today when I read the description more carefully-tftc
First time geocaching out of our hometown Auckland. A nice little explore thanks!
Snaffled after looking at what seemed like a likely spot. All quiet here today. TFTC!
We saw there had been a few DNFs but thought we would give this one a try.
The tree cover definitely made things difficult as our GPs was all over the place but when we asked ourselves "Where would we hide the cache?" it became much easier and we were soon signing the log.
This is a lovely secluded walkway, thanks leewatkinsnz for bringing us here.

Will try another time. The moss clue was tricky! Everything is mossy there at the moment!
