DNF. Had a quick look, couldn’t find it. Slight chance the adverse southerlies we had in the last month might have had something to do with it...
This one is missing so took a photo log to prove we were here and the next high tide doesn't take the replacement cache away.
After a late night search for a dot day cache I came up empty handed. Had a nice, quiet opportunity but couldn’t find the cache. Off to another spot before midnight to ensure my dot day gets filled. Will keep an eye on this one. Great idea for a spot for cachers in transit.
First stop on SI Road trip with TharntheHalken (plus muggle). In queue for ferry, quick grab of cache, then dash back to car as queue starts moving! Tftc!
We didn’t choose the best time as the trains were loading their wagons on to the ferry and we had to wait for the gate to open before we could wander along to GZ. Felt a little conspicuous as there were no queues left, only the odd worker. TFTC
23 August 2020 09:53 First cache of the day with BFG, a last minute decision to head up the Hutt Valley and see what there was to collect before I had to be back into Wellington for 1pm. The area was pretty much empty when we got there, and BFG found it after a quick search. TFTC!
Infoferret invited me out caching / avoiding housework together Hadn’t seen this little promenade before. Quick find, my 3rd at the ferry terminal! TFTC alecmills!
Thanks alecmills for placing this cache
It was a warm sunny spot to sit on the rocks at GZ and retrieve this one in front of a long line of traffic waiting to board.
Next stop The Mainland!!

Yes we were waiting for the ferry. We were supposed to he waiting for the Kawau Island ferry at this time but the L3 alert for Auckland has cut our trip short and we are heading home. 150m from the car to the cache on a clear morning.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Every time I got to get on a ferry caching is not the upmost on my mind so although the temptation to atow away tonight was great it was a caching only trip to interislander
How did you get this here?
Nice place for a photo of the ferry too (our ferry photo attached).
Signed log MM78, and back to the car to wait

#1108. Not waiting for the ferry, but when driving past the Interislander terminal, I remembered this cache was on my to-do list. Watched some big “rigs” drive on to the Kaiarahi, then wandered along for the easy find.

Quick find, thanks.
I was in Wellington for the weekend helping my daughter shift into her new house.
It's not much of a day for hanging around outside, but it is still nice to have a cache to log while I wait for the ferry.

Waiting for the ferry? Yes. Time for a cache before we depart. Q E F as per the hint and replaced as found.
The day to head back and with a 1600 sailing across the glass smooth Strait I left in plenty of time to get there, and get a couple of caches, just 5 for the day.
A trip across 'the ditch' was booked about a week ago in anticipation that our 12th grandchild would be with us by now after a few false starts. And so it was that Kaiah Lee joined the world late evening on 10 June and I was on the red eye ferry across the Strait on Friday morning.
Expecting Mum, Dad and bub back home mid afternoon I was in no real rush to get there as long as I was there for the arrival back home in Whanganui. Made it in plenty of time, and even had time to snag the last 3 TMGT caches, as well as a modest few others.

Out for a walk and decided to go and grab this one. As the ferry was about to leave there were no vehicles waiting to board but a lady came from know where and told us to stay on the walkway! Anyway quickly grabbed the cache but had no pen but used our stamp. Thanks CO for the cache.
I'm working in Wellington this week so headed out here during lunch to check out the ferries and grab this cache, no problems here, cheers
Nice visit to the area with tmann421 today

Arrived at the ferry queue a bit early this morning so I had time to go for a quick walk and score this cache. Fortunately GZ is a bit away from the vehicles so it was easy to hunt. No problems, an instant find in the first place checked. Signed log, TFTC.
That is a nice spot for a Cache, having to wait for our 1 PM ferry together going. A quick walk and grab, sign and back to the car. Thanks for this last North Island Cache!
Not waiting for a ferry, but a quick find needed this evening to double my find count for 3 March. Parked up near the terminal hoping to avoid a parking ticket or even a tow-away. Headed on over to GZ, avoiding the trucks that were being loaded onto to the Kaitaki. Spotted the cache as I approached so quickly grabbed and signed the log. Tucked back away and wandered back. All good here. TFTC
Ethness joined is for this one. The geocaching binge with Jude-E started on Wednesday night. We stayed another night with a friend. This was one of them.
Thanks alecmills for placing this geocache it is find 8425 for me.

Taking the Mainlanders for a wander around Wellington in the geo car. A different view of the harbour from this area of the waterfront.
Thanks for the cache .

Why yes, I was waiting for the ferry! Day 13 of our 5 week road trip in NZ finds us headed to the South Island for the rest of our visit. Greetings from Washington state. It’s a gloomy looking day just like we have in Washington . I have signed quite a few caches at/near ferry landings in Washington so it seems only fitting to get one here in NZ. TFTC

Our New Zealand tour Day 12 - Whith the ferry to south island

While we were waiting for the ferry with the cache vehicle, M ran to the cache and found it quickly.
61 finds until the 5000th find. Will we still be able to do it in New Zealand?
Since my english is very bad, I use internet translators. I hope my log is still understood.
Greetings from Saarland/Germany

#11,646. {FTF} at 10:40 and first day find. A short walk in Pipitea, Wellington. Great views of the ferry and two large cruise ships docked at the quay. Fortunately, it was not time to board for a few hours yet and the queuing lines were all empty. So GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

3TF.
I was in Porirua City when this came out so no chance of FTF, even if I had been in town I would have been pushing it to avert the inevitable.
A few muggles passing by this afternoon but I managed to grab the cache in between. A ferry had left not long ago and the one that was there wasn't due to sail so it was relatively quiet.
One muggle passed by while I was holding the cache but he took no notice, an older guy "taking his pills" draws little or no attention!
A nice breath of sea air and an interesting angle from which to view the cruise ships.
