Having a great day out with busy paws and lytteltonwitch. Stopped and found the cache just as father and son walking back from fishing. Dad was interested in what we were doing. All good here, thanks for the cache Aslan*.
Found while out on a geocaching trip with Busypaws and Coconuts3. Ended up explaining geocaching to a man and his young son. They had been fishing nearby
Left home at 8.00am for a day's caching tour of some of the northern Port Hills backroads. A few hundred metres up the road from Purau Bay (at 10.30am) I picked up a young French couple hoping to hitch hike their way to Akaroa. (They had earlier bussed to Lyttelton and ferryied to Diamond Harbour). I told them about geocaching and asked if they would like to join me to at least as far as the Hilltop Tavern. So they got their first geocache experience at this cache. A nice quick find. Thanks Aslan*
Passing through on my way beach to Christchurch after a quick circuit on the peninsula and spending the night at Pigeon Bay. Gloriously quiet here on a calm morning
In the area perfirming some cache maintenance. Quick find and sign in the late arvo as the rain started to set in. Nice spot. Thanks.
Nice easy find in a beautiful spot. Had a ride out with ex geocacher grandy today, we had a gorgeous day weatherwise and some great views. TFTC - loved the history, very interesting.

Out for a Sunday afternoon walk. We parked up at this spot and then went for a walk along the road. It was surprisingly busy with cars and motorcycles.
Daughter went and found the cache while we were still locking the car. TFTC.

#17902. We cached out Port Levy a year or two ago, and this one was published since then. I stayed in the car while Troodles retrieved the cache. Thanks for the detailed info in the cache page (and for the cache!).
StreetWalkerNZ and I decided after breakfast this morning to spend the day on Banks Peninsula, aiming to end up in Akaroa mid afternoon for the event. Weather wasn't as great as we expected as we encountered a bit of drizzle at times, but as the caches we were targeting were all pretty much drive bys, it turned out not to be a problem.
A lovely spot indeed. The last time we came here, we drove in from Little River, if my memory is correct. Not a route I'd recommend, via Purau is a lot easier . A quick park and grab. TFTC.

It was a very hot drive today. Surprised at the number of vehicles we met on the way. TFTC
WAHOO we got here at 1045 and made a quick find AND a blank log. Nice! {FTF} is a good way to start the 18,0000's, this's find number 18,001
We decided to go for a picnic at Port Levy, the possibility of a FTF helping us to decide where to go.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

With Karma Reprint at 10.45. I'm not so keen on whitebait myself. Keen on the cache tho! Thanks
