Up in Mildura with LittleBoss2, Geo the puppy for a week of caching and golf. Today was a quieter day than yesterday where we managed to almost complete the Paddle Steamer series. Today we introduced a couple of Octogenarian friends to our game who completely outdid us in their ingenuity to solve various clever caches in this town with more than its share. This was thankfully a quick find with the accurate coords and a well placed container. Never seen anything like this before, adding to the faves

A great fun cache to finish the day. Another favourite from us.Today we headed out of town to Wentworth and then worked our way back through Merbein and surrounds to Mildura. It was a clear sunny day, but wind kept the temperatures down and at time we were greatful to be in the car. Some lovely scenery was encountered from desert like scrub through farming land and the banks of the Murray. We managed Earthcaches, a Wherigo, multis and trads as well as puzzles. We also encountered a number of great cache containers.A busy but enjoyable day.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache TheMoules.**SKI Pair****

With a huge portion of the Victorian caching community enjoying their pilgrimage north to Longreach, chook(nchunk) and I decided to plan our own little mini-adventure, targetting adlabs, solved puzzles, faves, TDOCs and anything else that piques our interest along the way. Day Two: Jerilderie, Swan Hill, Mildura, Merbein. As we were running out of daylight, we nearly took this off the list, but decided to give it a go. So glad we did, as CnC retrieved the cache in record time. Great cache! A fav point heading your way. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, TheMoules ~~

Day 2 of Chook and OzHockeyChick's "QOGM-consolation" roadtrip, targeting caches in three states over four days of fun, friendship, laughter and adventure. It was dark by the time we attempted this cache, and nearly didn't go there because of that. However parking nearby was easy, no one was around, cache was spotted quickly and to everyone's surprise, including Chook's, the cache was retrieved on first attempt. Bingo! Good fun! TFTC 4Moule.

Southern Autumn adventure Day 55. Mildura Paddle Steamer Trip Day 4. The final day with my Canberra friends in Mildura rolled around. Today the team was five of us, Nibletricecakes, Gliss!, Kitty Katch, Joolay and Albida33. We set ourselves to visit caches spread out around town and some short riverside walks. There was quite a bit of rain, so some of the riverside drives were not an option. It turned into another long day, but some of the multi's we managed to complete were very satisfying. There was also some time for some LAB caches as well.

Thanks for the cache TheMoules

Out for an early morning stroll today (since my bike was stolen from the caravan park I’m staying at) and picked up a number of caches . All quick finds. This was one of them. Love the contraption here. Have only seen one other like this, but this was made much better and should really stand the rest of time. Tftc and a fav point from me!

Catching up on logs. Apologies for the very late log.
Travelling with SpidermonkeysMum and CPwanderer for the weekend. Our goal being the tri-state events and whatever caches we can also find along the way.
This was one of the caches that we found on our journey.

Day 2 found us checking out of our accommodation (after greeting some of our fellow geocachers who were also guests) and heading to the Morning After breakfast event. After a delicious and value for money breakfast we vacated our seats for the next round of attendees.

Our aim for the day was to complete the nearby Adventure Labs and whatever other caches caught our eye before heading home to SA.

Loved this hide! A definite favourite. Glad we stopped for this one.

Wowee!! Have a favourite point for a super fabulous cache.

Big weekend on the road! Overnighted in mega town (Murray bridge) after chasing some large caches for a challenge I have been working on for many years. Also made it to 4000 cache finds

Picked up CPWanderer and gizmos gang bright and early to get to Berri fir Brekky, Wentworth for lunch and back to Mildura for dinner. Then another Brekky and a cito the following day. Well that’s the plan anyway.

We are picking up whatever caches we can on the way, over 300 to chose from the CP hasn’t found and probably the odd one he has (that doesn’t include the PS series) which will have to wait to return for.

Apologies for the generic log, but where possible I will return to add a comment.
Thank you for placing it for us to find. Thank you for contributing to the geo map and maintaining when required. TFTC

Wandered off with Purrfect Di [:X] , and met up with the Froghoppin duo [^] [^] and a whole bunch of other crazy cachers around the place too. Saw some sights, cached three states, and ate a whole lot of pub and cafe meals! Found far fewer mint tins than usual - gold star to Vic and NSW for that one!!! Wink

Happy Geocaching Day weekend! Big Grin

A fun little cache like one back home - the log was soon expelled from its holder and signed. [:o)]

Much thanks to TheMoules for locating and maintaining this cache on our VIC geo-map Cool

Wandering the countryside - searching, spotting strange items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guyess or plain old dumb luck WinkCoolBig Grin
Heaps of that luck stuff actually !!!

*All the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course.*

Caution! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for germs and bugs !!! . [xx(]

Make Travel Bugs the Only bugs you share and pass on Wink
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside Big Grin

Truly fantastic of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting Cool

Appreciate you reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Wink Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!

Big day today out with Jams crew attempting the tri state event challenge. Challenge accepted.
Early 5am start and pick up at 5.45am and then a big drive to Berri. One cache in Kingston and a loo stop before the first event in Berri. A welcome spot for a coffee by the river.
Onwards to Wentworth and our second state for the day and another lovely location by the river. Afternoon caching around Wentworth, sand dunes, Merbein for adventure labs. Great new series by the oxbow lake.
Then it was time for the fabulous 3rd state celebration event in Victoria. Followed by an adventure doing a night cache.
Finally to euston back in NSW for an event, a beer and 3 caches and to our accommodation at Gol Gol arriving at 10. Yes it was a big day out! Huge day lots of fun, lots of events, lots of caches and adventure labs. 20000 steps for the day, yahoo! Much thanks to all the COs and event holders.

I did enjoy this field puzzle. I am firing another fav point to you.
The JAMS crew ( all 5 of us this trip JJ52,Allister w, Mogni, Michells&hound plus Sir_Spectre ) where headed to the 3 Community Celebration events in 3 states in one day plus a side trip down Euston
( it's only 55 km from our B&B one way ) for another geocaching event then a brief sleep. Then another geocaching event before Michells&hound hosted a CITO event in NSW. Of course there was time for finding of finding caches over 60 in the first day. Thanking those co for placing them and extra, extra thanks for the co for placing the gadget/field puzzle/creative caches. I left some fav points to let you know to keep up the good work. The way home was longer than getting there since we stopped and solved/stamped some multi's and off set letter box hides. Another good weekend away for us.

20-Aug-22
A JAMS weekend away was organised so that we could attend the tri state celebration eventsa plus a couple of other events and a CITO over the two days. We had a very early start and arrived at the Berri event only a half an hour after it started. After a coffee and some catching up we headed east over to Wentworth for the next event and a few caches along the way. More catching up, an AL and a visit to the sandhills, then on to Merbein for a couple of new AL's and more caching between there and Mildura. On to the 5pm event with lots of snags and slices that went down very well. Then a night cache before heading to Euston for the last event of the day. Only had time for a drink there, then found 3 caches and finally headed to our accommodation in Gol Gol. Slept very well, then up and about making our way to the breakfast event and more catching up. Found a few gadget caches before the CITO, picked up some rubbish and then started our drive home. Still managed to get a few caches along the way.
All in all a great weekend with thanks to all the CO's and organisers of the events. Cool

Another quick find while completing the Adventure Labs around Merbein. Big Grin

Thanks for the cache TheMoules. Smile

The last day in Mildura with BettyBoo3747.
We uncovered the deadly treadlies and road along the river picking up the occasional cache.
Some beautiful views along the bike track, and some good caches too.
The geo-doggies enjoyed their runs and traveling along in the bike trailer too.

We have driven past this cache a few time in going to the shops, today we were determined to stop in on the bikes.
Not where we expected to find the cache, and definitely not the style we expected.
An excellent idea for a cache all the same!
We had fun with this one.
Thanks for all of your caches we have done this trip, we enjoyed them immensely. We will be back.
Thanks, Robmc.

#18756. Our last day in Mildura on a glorious autumn day. Touring on our bicycles with the doggies in their trailer and enjoying a great ride along the trails near the river between Merbein and Apex Park in Mildura. So beautiful to be enjoying the river scenery and gathering some caches on the way.

After an unsuccessful visit to Merbein Lookout and then being interrupted by two young fellows wanting to try our electric bikes we came to search for this one. Rob was being half-hearted in his efforts until I told him what I thought should be done. So much fun. Didn't launch any spiders however. Another favourite point from me.

Thanks TheMoules

Spending a few days in Mildura, joined by the rest of the Goldy clan for a family getaway.

We've been coming here since our first visit in 2008, it's a Goldy family favourite so I'm excited for the opportunity to find a few geocaches here and in some of the surrounding towns.

I'm also looking forward to experiencing some different hides in another state, as all my finds so far have been in South Australia.

I won't be able to get to all the caches due to having other plans with family, family always comes first.

So a high majority of caches on the "to be found" list are ones where I can learn local history and ones that are relatively quick and easy.

I've been primarily eyeing off the turtle series geoart and adventure labs.

Suffered from a bit of cache blindness for a minute before finally realising where the cache was hidden.

I will admit that I did have a bit of fun with this one... I tried it a few times for my amusement.

Dropping a favourite point for the hide.

Put my signature in the log book and returned the cache to its hiding spot.

Signed as "P.Goldy"

Thanks to TheMoules for this cache.
