I was out for a wander around some of the bush walks around Albany today, together with TheLandGirl and we took the opportunity to have a look for this cache while in the area. We initially tried applying the hint to one spot, without success, then moved along the track a little bit and found another spot that perfectly matched the hints and we soon spotted the cute camo... however no bison was attached! We hunted around a little bit, in case it was lying on the ground, but no luck. Will log as a find (and have a photo of the camo if needed) but it may need some attention. TFTC!
That feeling you have when you’re about to walk away and suddenly spot it can’t be beaten. We’ve been searching for about 30 minutes and Widened our search area but still had no joy. Mr B had called it and we were returning to the path when Mrs B made the find. We definitely earned this one and huge thanks to the cache owner.
No luck today. GPSr sending me in circles and back and forth but no find. I will return.
Glad to make the find today on this DNF from last year, I was armed with a note from a previous finder (also over a year ago) and that helped with the find. Nice wee hide here, signed and replaced as found before retreating back the way I came back to the car.
I had the following alternative coordinates at GZ - 12 metres adrift - *** S36 44.114 E174 41.733 ***
Out for a bit of a stroll over lunch time so headed over to this track which I've visited previously (just over a year ago now) from each end, but not for any of the middle part. Was keen to being my ascent to Mt Kilimanjaro via Base camp, but not in any hurry to make the peak so just the four caches today. I did also make a find of the fist stage of the nearby Fruit Bowl Multi, so that was useful for future visits. Thanks to the COs for their hides today.
In line with the NZ Geocache Reviewers guidance on what Covid Level 3, Part 1 looks like, geocaching IS permitted, but there are not to be any events or any new listings. It seems the NZ Covid website has failed to maintain pace with Lockdown level amendments and changes and is still lumping Geocaching in with Orienteering and other gathering type activities. Link from Facebook; https://www.facebook.com/NZGeocachingReviewers/ for further details.
Update - Level 3.2 due to be applied in Auckland region at 2359 09 Nov 21 will be allowing new listings to be published, still no Events though.

We all walked past this one but husband found the very clever (and pretty) cache when we walked past again. Thanks for the great cache.
Like others before us, we did a lot of searching here before keen eyed Geocchi proved his worth yet again, by spotting the very cutely camoed wee cache. Tftc
I'm glad there were three of us to find this elusive and rare low growing flower. It certainly is an inner city oasis of greenery here. Thanks for bringing us here G-2
What's going to work? Team work!
The gps jumped about a bit here, but luckily the geohound decided he needed a rest so at least he stayed still instead of tying himself up to a tree. Once I spotted the right roots, GeohoundandI made a quick find. Then we needed Daddypig123 to get the bison open. He cleaned some dirt out of the thread, whilst I signed the log as HPFamily. Beautiful decoration here, but the sparkly pompom fell off, so I shoved it inside underneath the pear.

Out and about for a spot of caching around the local neighborhoods on this sunny afternoon. I spent some time trying to find a sensible place to park and enter this network of trails. In the end I parked up on Stanford Street and entered the reserve. I managed to navigate the various paths and arrived close to GZ. After spending some time walking around in circles and failing to spot anything that substantially matched the hint I opted for the phone a friend option. I got a nudge to focus away from where the GPSr was actually pointing. It still left a large area to search but after a few minutes a looked around and spotted the hide. The GPSr was bouncing around a lot under the tree cover but I think the coords may be 8-12m out. Cheers for the cache placement!
This cache is probably great, great camo definitely as we couldn't find it, used hints & walking around & around we gave up after 30mins...….
A little too tough for me today, will need to consult with others to get a help I expect. Had zero metres and a few hint options but meh, another time
Wandered along the trail with Tracey from Team Welsh. Arriving near GZ we soon had 5 eyes looking for the cache. We at first concentrated our efforts on something that certainly fitted the concept of a hanging garden, but did not hold a cache. Read a few previous logs and spread out to widen the hunt. There was some laughter when in turned out that the man with only one working eye at present was the one to make the find. Thanks.
D/T rating was intriguing so we found a place closeish to access this one and with 2 1/2 sets of eyes we set about having a look. Found a great place for a cache but not where one was hiding so extended the search area by about 16m and the 1/2 set of eyes spotted it. Interesting camo here and very glad to get it found. TFTC
I almost had to PaF, but after going back and forwards a couple of times I eventually spotted a likely hint item, very clever. Such a nice day to be out for a wander along here, a few people out and about. Saw these young fellas in the photo who were certainly testing the theory of Darwinism in earnest, as you would expect my first thought was naturally why aren't they wearing their masks, hmmmm....
Definitely a tricky one that took us quite some time to find. We were looking round and round and for the most part not in the right area. we did eventually find it, great cache. The boys stopped looking after a while and ended up playing with pieces of woods while mum and dad were hard at it. TFTC
This cache was the one that took us the longest to find today. After searching the area and coming up empty handed, we resorted to PAF who confirmed we were indeed looking in the right area. We needed to lower our gaze to find this one, which blends in very well with its surroundings.
You can be evil at times G-2! This cache had us walking in circles for quite sometime and after a PAF we realised we had been searching a little bit further off track than we needed to but in the right area. Back to the track and I then spied something that could be the hint roots and then Mrs Jag found another one close by and came up with the tricky hide
Longest find here. Failed on first attempt. After 20 minutes of bush beating gave up and went to find The Lockdown cache. At the Lockdown cache used PAF option and also received extra hint for this little baby bison. And it was great help. Almost instant find on my way back. T4TC
A long hard serch. Eventually Supernannny tried one side of the dip and I the other. (Widen out serch)
Glad to hear a call saying found it.

No go for me, think I found scraggly roots, big tree but no garden as such unless it was those pungas, bur it wasn't hanging of those and what flower??
Had a productive day today....went out with nette and found the 11 new G-2 caches on the Shore!
This was the one that took us the longest time searching....
Was not totally sure what we were looking for!
Did not want to give up....as kiwiscot had found it!
We were both mystified....and going round in circles .
Finally we went back to path and re entered somewhere slightly different....Was examining one lot of roots....turned around and thought "what is this!"
So pleased to have no dnfs on all these today....

Heading back home after a successful outing collecting some new geocaches up at Stillwater. We noticed the DNF here earlier in the morning and since it was still unfound decided to give it a crack. Luckily for us being a Sunday school was out and we were able to park relatively close by.
Once at GZ and following the instructions given in the description and cache page hint we were confident we were searching the right spot. Still took us a while to locate. Scotty who has been on fire today spotted the hide. Kiwi believes he was at a disadvantage with this one. (FTF) number 6 for the day - No log in the container but we had some spare all weather paper on hand - most likely supplied to us by this caches CO - TFTC
