Thank you for hosting this geocaching Event! The date of the Event has passed. We automatically archive Events after 30 days (60 days for Mega- and Giga-Events). Attendees can still log archived Events, log trackables, and share their experiences.
Great to be in town for this one. Dragged the mugchers (cachers that insist they're muggles...with accounts - lol). Enjoyed catching up with everyone. TFTE.
A great opportunity to catch up with everyone for a chat before Christmas mayhem hit. I was a little late arriving but thankfully made it in time for the all important Secret Santa draw. Very happy with my pressie. Thanks for being a lovely host, La Kedi.
Good to catch up with everyone and meet some new faces as well. Weather was great and everyone enjoyed sharing plates of food and grabbing a present. Thank you La Kedi for organising this event.
Travelling and caching with RoddyC Patrol14 snickersallan and imbunda on our way to the Christmas events on the northside picking up some Adventure Labs, bonuses, trads and puzzles.
Our last event for the day. Another great time to catchup with geofriends.
.
Happy Christmas everyone.

For some strange reason, I had made a note that this event was on Sunday. I had planned my 2 days to take in all the events on my calendar (geocaching as well as Christmas functions). While at my first event earlier in the day, I was asked if I was going to this event. I said that it was tomorrow. I then found out it was on today...
Well a change of plans and googling directions to this event, I made my way here in time to see others arriving as well. What a great crowd and a few new geocachers to meet. Was also lovely to meet up with a few cachers who I haven't seen in ages.
Due to my dates being wrong, I didn't have a secret santa gift to exchange but was fun to see the many different gifts on offer. Unfortunately I had to leave a bit earlier to be able to be on time for my other Christmas function later in the evening.
Thanks La Kedi for hosting this event and for the yummy treats on offer.

Today, baby Warren and I had an early start with a northern drive to Caboolture to participate in parkrun, and we used the opportunity to complete [Central Lakes Caboolture](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/a7df1f4d-e91c-4a0f-adb0-023897a20506) Adventure Lab. It was then followed by [JaT's Community Celebration Event](https://coord.info/GC8K07H), where we had a lovely walk around the lakes area completing the [Caboolture - Centenary Lakes Park](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/9c0d34cf-53ca-4489-8daf-9b64d9ef7e7a) Adventure Lab. We finished our half-day excursion with a hike up Saddleback Mountain / Mount Elimbah, which was a pleasant and scenic walk.
In the afternoon, I took a drive to Mitchelton's [Secret Santa Picnic - Community Celebration Event](https://coord.info/GC8K08T), and then visited a few geocaches around Ferny Grove, of which I had been meaning to return to after not having the correct TOTT when we walked [I'm Hooked on Geocaching](https://coord.info/GC38CEN).
What a great event! I read the description ahead of time, and came prepared with a gift from/for Santa, although I was a little disappointed that we weren't stealing! Perhaps feedback that can be considered for the CO's future Christmas Community Celebration Event! It appeared to be great atmosphere that was well attended, and despite living in Brisbane for 18 months now, I was still meeting new Geocacher faces for the first time. The food spread also turned out well, and it goes to show that you can ask everyone to contribute, and that appears to be a true community success. After the gift giving formalities, I thought I'd check out the play area on behalf of the rest of the family, and this is an area that I think we will return to in the future. Thanks La Kedi for the Community Celebration Event organisation and hosting. At least I will have closure now, knowing who was that random person who said hello to me in Abbotsford!

Thank you for organising this event La Kedi.
I love Christmas so a chance to do a bit of secret Santa gift exchanging was appreciated. I ended up with some caches so I guess I better organise to put them out at one stage. I had some snacks. But most importantly I had some chats.
Thank you and merry Christmas to all ??

Got to drop of daughter to work but hope to get there in time for secret Santa. Have my present packed
The weather is perfect for these kinds of events and there was a good turnout today. Thanks for the event La Kedi. It was great to catch up with everyone
A fantastic catch up & I met some new faces to put to the caching names that I frequently see on the activity logs. TFTE
A short appearance for me here, had time to chat to EO, thank you, and a few others.
Good to have a solid reason to get out of the house.
Thank you La Kedi for organising.

I had that feeling like I hadn’t been caching in forever and I was surprised to see it was only last weekend that we were out. I’m pretty sure I had the same feeling last weekend. It’s just that time of year where there are so many Xmas things planned and so many bottles of wine that are most probably at their best during the holiday period, that you don’t actually have that much time to cache.
I was actually on an Xmas mission this morning in Everton Hills (dreaming about caching, nudity and caching in the nude) when I opened the app preying for anything nearby to keep me ticking along. That’s when I saw this event and I made it my target for the day. I went home to Redcliffe and did some dump runs (that were Xmas related) and waited for the drive back.
When I arrived I enjoyed a really good conversation with tuppens and alisnan (not much Xmas, wine or nudity talk), but some other really good topics. Normally a bunch of strangers all meeting each other for the first time is about as awkward as seeing your mother in law naked, but we were really kicking it off and I didn’t get the chance to catch up with everyone. Thanks for organising the event and keeping my caching mojo sated. tftc

This was my second Christmas related event for the day. The first being Christmas Drinks Brewery Ride with my mates and at the end of the day my ride concluded only a km or 2 away from here.
A good day was had trying various different ales / lagers or ginger beers during the ride across from Richlands. That was a nice 60 km trip for a geocaching event for ruzzelz today.
Fortunately there were a few snacks and sweets to feed a hungry cyclist who had not actually focused on food earlier in the day other than morning coffee and cakes.
Had a good chat to a few people about things of old from early caching, Norfolk Island holidays and some old time coins thanks to Roddy C.
Did you know that Tuppence is the sum of two pennies.
Merry Christmas to all. See you in 2023

An early start today and headed north with geo friends to get our second Event for the day. We had a great time, enjoyed the snacks etc. Will have to change my eating habit next year as these treats are going to my hips. While at the Event we were able to get a few Smilies before heading off to do more caching. Great catching up with the usual crew and others that I have never met before and some I rarely see. Secret Santa was great exchanging gifts.

A great bit of fun and laughs at event I didn’t realise was even on until a message from a friend at 1pm. The stuff I was doing just has to wait so I can rush off to the Northside and catch up with some of the mob. Secret Santa gave me a cool voice changing toy so I raved to the car for batteries and started to play
A good time talking geocaching and swapping gifts. That’s the biggest picnic shelter ever! Thanks for the event.
What a fun sounding day. Unable to attend for health reasons but hope everyone who does has fun
I'm planning on attending this Event. It's after the heat of the day so should be good. See you there.
Looking forward to meeting new geocachers and celebrating community. Barbara HB
Love secret Santa's. There should be @3@ of us attending including silverfox1970 and firebatman88. Thanks for organising.
This event isn't too far away from home, so the family and I will try to attend.
Another Secret santa event, i'm free.
Seems its not a secret if its published. a bit like Victoria's Secret, but she doesn't have many secrets left, lol.

Regrettably, the restrictions in place for the latest Covid19 outbreak will not be lifted in time for this event to go ahead. Stay home, stay safe, and when we get through this, we’ll all be able to gather together safely again.
I think I can. I may be on leave, but it is too far away for me to remember. If I am not on leave I am on night shift, so could attend before work.
Will be there. Putting in a leave day in now from work so I don’t forget when it’s closer.
It's a bit far off but I'll put it in my calendar and hope I remember to be there
Celebrate Geocaching!
