Hey everyone! I was blown away with the success of my second Festivus event: the weather was perfect; and everyone came enthusiastic and full of grievances! A tonne of people got photos with the Festivus pole; and everyone seemed to have a great time with the Feats of Strength. It was so great to see so many local geocachers working together in teams to solve the newly published mystery cache. And well done to InnocentApple for making the find of the oh-so-dreaded Eclipse tin! Apologies for the mistakes made in the mystery cache description, but it can only mean for an even better Feats of Strength next year!

Thank you so much to all those who brought food and drink to share; it made for a wonderful Festivus dinner and one which fit very well with the Seinfeld theme! A special thanks also to Simmey1980 and dty73 for watching the picnic table while the rest of the group went for the FTF during the Feats of Strength - apologies for not thinking this through earlier, but I aim to remedy this next year. Thank you to contesta for helping me run the event at numerous points throughout the evening; and thank you to StarsAlign for your photography! And also, congrats to Kittykatch on being awared FTF for this event - it's a Festivus miracle!

Most of all, a huge thank you to everyone for attending. The experience of all geocaching events is made only through its attendees; and its the geocaching community that make geocaching one of the best activities I could've dreamed of doing. It's what these Community Celebration events epitomise. I know this event was meant to be for grievances; but there are times where you have to have to really appreciate the positives of our great game.

I will be attaching some photos here from yesterday; please feel free to post as many of your own photos as you'd like! I will be archiving this event on 19 Janurary 2021. Happy Festivus; and stay safe! See you again on 23 December 2021.

Yay!!!! So great!!!! A really fun way to get us all together. I particularly loved the trivia based puzzle to get us all socialising and working together. A very clever idea. Thanks for once again for pulling us all together for a great event. I appreciate the effort you put into it.

I was very disappointed that I missed this event last year.

But I made it today and it was a lot of fun. The food was great and drinks appreciated and the fun of solving and finding a new cache was an extra bonus.

I joined in for this fun varied event with several highlights today at Black Mountain peninsula. Well attended and spaced out. I liked the surprise feat of strength solving exercise and a generous First to find hunt. It was good to hear some many plans being hatched for the Christmas break, I hope to get away early next year.

It was fun to attend another Festivus Event. Great to see this Seinfeld celebration become a regular part of the ACT Geocaching Calendar. The massive group ftf was an added bonus. TFTE ToyHunters.

What an epic event! I could only stay for the first hour until 6:30pm as I had plans with a friend that I almost forgot about because of how enjoyable the event was, until they called me!

I love the theme of this event, and all the effort gone into it with the Festivus pole, related snacks and games. I missed the "Feats of Strength" which was starting when I left, but will look forward to doing it in my own time instead soon!

Good to see my photo made the cut into the CO's log as well, love it!

Thanks Toy Hunters, definitely one of the more unique and well planned events in Canberra! Would give it two favourites if I could!

Travelled yesterday from Northern NSW to Canberra. Arrived at 1am this morning. As long as my lack of sleep last night doesn't hold me back from coming around I'll be there, with Callum185 and possibly the rest of my Family x5.

For A: It’s the sign; not what it is online
For B: Site is different to the app; B = 6
For V: Add 4
For W: Subtract 10
For Z: Add 5

Another fun Community Celebration event. Thanks for the drink and snacks. A pleasant evening to gather and catch up with fellow cachers regarding caching exploits past and future. TFTC.

Another must-attend event! Arrived to hear grievances already being aired and Seinfield friendly food being deposited by all and sundry! Lots of catching up and even grievances leveled at the CO ??. I had to leave early, but congratulations to those who got FTF on the newly published surprise puzzle!

Arrived early but was unable to stay for the Feats of Strength and the group FTF on a newly published cache.

22,284. Attended with minniek and many many other Cachers all ready and willing to celebrate Festivus 2020.

Another year - a crappy one at that - another Festivus Celebration. And Young (he was 9 when I first met him - therefore he will always be young) Toy Hunters did not disappoint. The Festivus pole was erected and meatloaf, muffin tops and cantaloupe (among other things) were consumed. A great event. Unfortunately we could not stay for long and thus we missed out on the Feats of Strength cache and first to find - oh well.

We are staying with family (Hogwarts85) in Canberra, on border leave from our Qld Premier . We have waited a long time to escape and head to the serene beauty of Canberra. Today did not disappoint and we had a great time catching up with a few familiar faces, and meeting some that were new to us.

Just claiming my find for this event. Once I have my photos uploaded, I will write my full log as an announcement and will upload photos there.

Didn't think we were going to make it to this one today with a mini crisis going on at work. Major for some I guess, not getting paid on Christmas eve, yeah that could be a problem for some.
Anyway finally escaped from work just in-time to greet some mates at the event then wander off to a FTF close by. Nice to see a great turn out and I heard that it was a pretty good event too.

After a very long (short) week at work, I was looking for any excuse to escape the office and this was tonights. Arrived not long after start time and then the work phone rang just as I arrived into the carpark.... typical.... luckily the issue was resolved over the phone and some directions so I didnt have to race back to the office.

Was nice to meet up with so many people just before xmas, usually Canberra is deserted at this time of the year, but thanks to COVID, many people are staying put. A large attendance and it was an enjoyable event. Enjoyed the puzzle being released during the event and was quickly solved for a large group joint ftf.

Thanks for the event Toy Hunters, look forward to attending the third.

What a blast. A great event, grievances aired centred around lack of travel due to covid restrictions lots of cachers, lots of food and lots of plans made and caches confirmed - what could be better? Not much Thanks Toy Hunters for such a great event - we really appreciate the effort you went to for this. And then, a mystery got published in close proximity to the event - winning. TFTE.

TFTC Great day for caching again today, thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining this cache.

As my Christmas plans with family were cancelled due to the new NSW outbreak, the upside was I could now go to this event!

Swung by a little after starting time and gathered with a couple of my geobuddies and a few other regulars. We shared a few chats and laughs before the "Feats of Strength"Mystery cache was published, solved and found Great to see a decent turn out!
