Good parking from our direction and a nice sturdy container.We stayed at the Finch Hatten Show grounds last night. A busy campground not realising they had a country music festival going on in the hall there. All good as room to set up and entertainment as a bonus. A pretty location in the hills and that iconic NQ scenery. A late start to the morning with some puzzle solving and collection of them before we left. Pinnacle was a great stop advertising Australia's best pies, well... is it really? Only one way to find out, and yes, they are a treat to try!Fueled up and ready to cache it was into Mackay for a black sand earthcache and coastal scenery. A strange yet fascinating sight but good to understand this black sand more.Caching along the way of different types as we passed, pulling into a busy rest stop half way between Mackay and Rockhampton after dark. Thanks for your cache to enjoy on our travels!
Finished another long trip around Australia. The 6th. Next up to Townsville to grab the Palm Island LGA. Only 2 LGAs to complete Australia.Firstly heading back south for some Canberra time.TFTC. Camped at the showground of Finch Hatton for the night. There happen to be a country music festival on right there. Bands played late into the night.A slow start in the morning getting some Jigidies done. Then it was back into Mackay to finish the last Earth Cache. Now heading south to Rockhampton to find lots of ECs, Virtuals and Ad Labs... and of course any other type that looks interesting, or not.Nice quick find. No TBs today.
Been meaning to get to this one for what seems like years as I pass it a lot but usually when it's a busy intersection.Job done todayCache is in good condition and was guarded by a decent size lizard.TFTC
On my walk to this one, I found a golf ball which became my SWAG drop off. Ha ha a golf ball in Golf links TB
i think a blind man on a galloping horse would almost see this one its in plain sight large cache plenty of swag on board took log pics and returned all of the booty to cache and cache to almost hiding spot tftc
Found in the last place we looked 
. We've been holding onto a TB for way too long so we decided to search out somewhere to drop it off. Job done but I couldn't help taking 2 more, 1 to the other side of the world and 1 maybe just to the other side of town. TFTC!

Having a 3 night stay to find some of the many caches in the area.
Headed to the northern beach area of MacKay this morning.
We found a good variety of caches some in places we had not visited before.

It’s Mega time once again!! Woo hoo!! Love these epic road trips. After an amazing drive up Canberra - Narromine - Cunnamulla - Blackall - Winton - Charters Towers - Townsville. We had a blast at the main event. Now it is time for the trip home - with the plan being chances to explore Bowen, Rockhampton, Emerald, Roma, Lightning Ridge and Dubbo. Will see if the April rains and flooding detour us! Thanks to everyone in the region for the top quality caching. Appreciate your efforts.
Out caching with grandson FireDemon8, teaching him the ropes. He found the cache and we picked up the trackables to move on. T4T$

Our fourth big day in a row out and about in Mackay with Temingi. We’ve had a great time driving all over the area looking for caches, and have had a pretty good find rate. Today is a bit of a contrast with an overcast sky and some drizzle in the air, quite different from the clear, sunny skies we’ve had up until now. Makes for very comfortable caching though, which is good.
Thanks again to all of the local CO’s. You make this fantastic pastime possible, and open up your local area to us blow ins from the south. Your efforts are very appreciated.

Nice quick find, good, safe location. Left something for little kids and there is plenty of room for more gifts
Found it! Took the kids to look a couple of times but got there in the end. Signed log, didn't take anything but left a little something for someone else
It’s nice to see some TB hotels popping up in Mackay. Thanks alphag_25. We are heading to the Gold Coast tomorrow so grabbed the TB. Hope to bring one back to drop back here when we return. TFTC.
Stopped today to grab this cache and leave a TB from Yungaburra, quick easy fins TFTC
Passed it heaps of times on the way to sister cacher,'s place. Finally snagged sister cacher to find it together.
Found on a busy afternoon, man do the cars stop they were coming from all directions. Lucky the cache is well hidden up the steps

Loaded them on to my GPSr and headed out to pick up geodaughter and find some caches.
Got to GZ just before the really busy time.
Plenty of foliage to hide from passing muggles.
Quickly had the GC in hand and stamped the clean sheet.
This is a shared FTF with geogirl.
Nice size container fitting its intended purpose.
