Thanks Macwatt for the cache. Its #2004 for us. We found your cache on Saturday 22 June 2024. Brilliant cache and well worth the walk. FP from us today for a great effort. Didnt have a pen so signed log with a muddy stick - hopefully it will leave a mark of our visit.
All repaired up 2023 standards please do not fill with water ..all the tools that are required are at the cache…all you need is a tad of patience happy caching
Someone has been rough along with that filled it with sea water..have taken away for repairs
First day of the year, visitors have left, out we go on our bikes for some well-earned ME time. Great weather for an extensive ride out to Omokoroa and - yes - the cache we didn't get to do last on our last trip, thinking then that we didn't have the right tool!
Ant city today, but that's no problem, they are soon sent packing. Worked like a charm. Cache is all good. Earns a fave from us. TFTC

Finding the cache was not a problem but extracting the log took some time. Soon worked out how to access but it did not play ball. Thankfully i got there in the end. Thank you for the placment.
Této kesky jsem se trochu bála, tak jako vsech vychytralych, ale musím říct,že překvapivě jsem to zvládla hned na první pokus, takové provedení jsem ještě neviděla, chytré, zábavné a proto uděluji své ️
After watching a train go over the nearby bridge we headed over to look for this cache not knowing quite what to expect, but our expectations were definitely exceeded.
We love caches like this and really enjoyed working out how to access the log.
So nicely done. Cache is in great condition.
A favourite point for sure.

Lol thought I was very clever finding this so quick... The trick if finding the log book! Haha. Love it tftc
Had a lot of fun with this one. Had us puzzled for a bit but then one by one things started coming together and aha the cache was found and quickly signed and returned for another find. An8ther fave from us. TFTC.
Nice little hide on a very pleasant cycleway. Not too difficult for a couple of geriatric idiots to locate the log on this one TFTC.
Found this one quickly. I thought it was broken initially, but luckily kimbathelion saved the day
Fav point for this cache. Buzzybb spotted it quickly & said it was broken so that was disappointing. But then I thought about the CO & decided further investigation was required. so the first thing I tried was only partially right. Then I had another idea & walah there was the cache & log. Out with kiwidp & showing her some really cool caches. CO really likes keeping us on our toes. TFTC
Oh wow it took a few good moments to figure out how to get into the logbook! I remember similar hide in Whanganui....
Picked up on my weekend journey.

Out for a walk along some of the trail here, and a great spot to stop and look at the river. Enjoyed the creativity and ingenuity here, great to find a cache in plain sight but required some different kind of thinking. FP.
First one on this lovely Sunny Sunday as I drive from Omokoroa to Papamoa on my geocaching holiday!
So pleased to actually do a Macwatt field puzzle.
Really loved it...have been intrigued by the name ever since it came out last year.
Favourite Point!

Got run over by the train just as I started the walk out. Interesting walk along the river . TFTC
We were heading home after a mini caching evening when R remembered he found this one with his Mum last year. He wanted to see how I'd approach it. "Oooo"...."ahhhh" success! What a contraption! Favourite point from us

Suckers for punishment we decided to do a third MacWatt cache in a row, this one sounded intriguing so we were looking forward to what to do at GZ, a few arguments were had whether we will pull the chain or not when we got there....
A nice cycle path area, there were a few people out walking, potential geocachers? Nope, he kept walking...
Got to GZ and soon spotted the likely hide, hmm how to open... ok, now, pull the chain?
Not telling... very clever hide, worked a treat what ever we decided to do...

This was a dot day excursion for us - and was an opportunity to have a look at the cycle way developments .... all going well, our plan is to bike the Te Puna/Omokoroa track as part of the BOP Garden & Art Festival later this week.
Thoroughly enjoyed the cache and it's location - and even on a week-day there were quite a few people out and about making good use of the track ... very good to see. Thanks for all the work that has gone into setting this up - great fun - and if we get the chance we'll bring our grandsons for a visit - they'd love it!

We weren’t actually out caching today. My husband set the net last night in hopes of finding a fish (unfortunately no luck but a TON of pāpaka ).
We also had my daughters friend staying with us this weekend.
We decided to re-set the near on the river and try again.
So we threw all 5 kids into the truck and off we went. I was distracted by the amazing weather we are having and took way too long into the day to check for caches
Anyways eventually occurred to me to check my phone and found this ripper of a cache!!
Made xtra special because it was our xtra babies first eva cache!!
Really cleverly done and intuitive!!
TFTC
P.s this is also why we didn’t sign the log, no pen. So here’s our photo

Sunday walks with my nieces...
This cache kick started a mini run of Macwatt-Kahluis caches... This was the first time we have visited the area since the construction of the Omokoroa-Tauranga Cycleway. We were very impressed. Cycle and pedestrian traffic was constant, and it allowed us to take our time to enjoy the scenery.
My niece spotted this hide while I was reading the description and notes. We figured out how to obtain the logbook quite quickly, and my niece also insisted on having a turn. We were all suitably fascinated by this cache and the workmanship of its design. One favourite point isn’t really enough. Thanks Macwatt and TFTC.

Nice little hide. We enjoyed the puzzle. Didn't have a pen with us, but you'll know we found it because of our minty fresh breath.
We were staying nearby so had to find this cache while in the area. It didn’t take long for us to figure it out as we’ve seen one like it before, no less deserving of a fave for this well constructed and enjoyable cache. TFTC Macwatt!
TFTC. Took a bit to figure out, but got it! No pen to sign, so just had a look and moved on Nice spot to see the spoonbill birds as well
Nice to get out and a bit of fresh air and to see how this cycleway is going . The trail is looking good but still few bits to tidy up but it is getting there. Arrived at GZ and spotted cache as I was walking up to it. Now what ?? Couple of tries and soon had it Sussex. Nice cache and looks so well made it should last well TFTC
Found 1.05pm
Great cache container. Soon worked out what we had to do. Fav from us. SLTFTC

Being at a loose end this morning, decided to have a stroll out here. After reading an earlier log, I knew what to expect and yip was exactly what I thought. Nicely crafted again McW and will be great to cycle along here when the track in finished. Cheers
Every few years we are gifted and extra day.... to Geocache! I decided to head out West to clear some of the stragglers and this was our first stop. As with every Macwatt cache, we tend to be treated with something slightly different and this was no exception. I can't recall finding one of these before but everything was self explanatory and worked out nicely as the log was quickly in hand.
On the way back to the car I spotted a couple in the distance - I always feel slightly less crazy when I meet other cachers in the field - Cheers Happy Bogan.
All in all - another good cache worthy of a favourite - good work Macwatt, TFTC

Today was all about getting the leap day mark off on the grid. Now I can be more proactive about marking off the rest of them. Off to watch the drift racing today so one in the area was required. Yours is the chosen one. On our way to gz and a familiar smiling face approaches us. Lol. Good to catch up with you Philip Perry. Carry on and spot want I assume I would be looking for. Lucky we have done a couple of these so knew what had to be done. Totally enjoyed the find here today. Plan to do the cycle when it's completed. Thanks for well constructed cache.
FYI...There are workers at the Station Rd end ...under rail way ...the track is closed until 5pm daily until completed, weekends are ok....access is available from the Western end of this section of track...cheers Macwatt
Having seen a similar cache in Napier and talked to the CO about it, I knew exactly what this cache was about as soon as I saw the notification pop up. Trouble was, I was at work. Checked at the end of the day and still no logs. Drove out without any expectations, talked nicely to the workman on the bridge, and made my way to GZ. Yup. Just what I thought. Made quick work of the mechanism and...woohoo...clean log! Got to give it an FP. [FTF] 4.29PM 27/2/20. TFTC.
