Out again to 3757 for a cache to get out streak up to 95 days. Initially I was concerned about this road but it's just a bit steep and a little rough. I wonder if we will get the Wheel of Challenges souvenir as well?
Find No. 4270. Found with FUF009 at 2.21pm.
Another day trip to Whittlesea to see if we can finish off caches we still have to find in this area.
Three months ago, back in March we done a day trip and found quite a few caches, but we still had quite a few to find, so today we hope to get most of these finished. FUF 009 came with us.
Back then we were in our van, today we are in FUF009's ute, that will go places that our van won't.
The plan today was to drive around and get as many caches as possible within daylight hours.
After completing the caches in the Yan Yean Reservoir area, and the Puzzle for Beginners Series, we continued on out this way finding caches along the way as we made our way back to Whittlesea.
After having lunch at the Community Gardens we then continued on our way getting more caches we had on our list to do for the day.
Wow what a road this was that we went up to get the next three caches. Definitely would not have made it up here in our van.

Found with Tyred n Cranky.
Take 2
Back in March we didn't finish off finding all the puzzles.
So day 2 (3months later) we back for another drive around the Whittlesea area.
Plan for the day (same as last trip) is to grab some of the caches we missed out on when we were here for the Mega. We have quite a few to choose from, as we didn't get much of the compass done back then.
A couple of premium TOTT on board required for those higher up caches.

This was a wonderful little reminder of how much Heymissjo and I have missed our 4WDing. We got to the end of the 2WD section and noted the sign that said 4WD only when.
No problem.
Artax shifted into work mode and easily got us to GZ. I’ve missed this terrain. It looks just like the tracks around Mt Eberhard - except these are drivable.
The cache was found in the only logical spot.
Thanks, 6Hinemoa2, for the flashbacks to the Dirty Horrible ?? Series

Sadly The Welder and I were not able to make it to the Rutherglen Mega, sometimes the stars just don’t align. But we unexpectedly ended up with some free time today and although Rutherglen to too far for a drive today, we thought we would head back to Whittlesea and collect some more caches from the last Mega we missed.
Glad that the rain has held off, which allowed us to explore find some caches without getting too wet. The track up here today was okay, but was definitely glad to in The Weldermobile as mine might not have been so happy. A quick find at GZ here today.

The Whittlesea Mega has been on and off for a long time due to that rotten COVID-19. The sad part is that due to MND I really think this could be my last Mega but I am in the area for a week thanks to my two great SA friends who travelled from SA visiting Ballarat for a couple of days and then moved down to Geelong only to pick me up and we are staying in Craigieburn for a week and then they are taking me back to Geelong. It’s generosity like that Geocaching folk are renowned for, plus all the help that I have received in the past few days and weeks which I will be forever grateful.
This guy was found, signed last November 2022 with my two SA friends who were looking after the ageing Bushfire.
Thanks for placing and looking after this cache. I am slowly getting a few more of these caches logged but for how long I really don't know depends on the body.
The good news is that my MND is progressing a little slower than it could so I am working on going to the Rutherglen Mega. Time will tell, thanks to Wiser than Owls & 6Hinemoa2 for placing this cache.

Hide: It’s always interesting to look at the maps and the location and try to determine just what kind of terrain you’re going to find yourself in – particularly when you have a little car with little people in it. Nothing we couldn’t handle this time.
Puzzle: I thought I was on the right track, and I was, but it led to something else and then I was stumped. Fortunately I saw something that seemed to make some kind of sense – and then I recalled hearing something that kind of put the whole thing together for me. Very devious!

Out and about in Whittlesea with my Geo Chauffer to gather up some of the Whittlesea compass cache. Some of these puzzles were good to solve other were not so easy.
Help was need on so called easy one and the harder one I could do easily. Finally, solved them and it was time to set off and find them. Some, this is where high some low and some in between. Some hard, some were even on the other side of the water, this where I used my Chauffer for help.
Another amazing series set out for the Whittlesea Mega by a great crew, it did take a while for the mega to take place, but eventually did, worth the wait...
Found it, signed it, replaced it and moved on.
A double ender puzzle, but a good one, found the puzzle quickly then solved the jibberish to get the coordinates for the final. A quick find in good condition, thanks for this one Wiser than Owls & 6Hinemoa2

So the Whittlesea Mega is done and dusted and what a great event it was and it is now time to start cleaning out the area now that I have time and mobility to concentrate on that task.
As everyone who knows me I’m not the best puzzle solver going around but with a year or two of time and of course plenty of help along the way I managed to work out the puzzles and get a set of coords to head off to find these ones.
Some were straight forward to to find others took a bit of time but I got there in the end.
I’m not sure how many times I travelled these roads in the last couple of years in the lead up to the Mega but it is nice to get these ones finally ticked off.
Thanks Wiser than Owls & 6Hinemoa2 TFTC.

The Geo-Corolla really didn’t like the track - but it made it nonetheless with just a little bumping and scraping of underbelly. TFTC, quick find but I didn’t have a spare bag for the log so it may get soggy with the next rain.

Well, after spending several days in Whittlesea over the last weekend and the Mega, the very next weekend I have some time free and where do I finish up, yep, back in Whittlesea, but at least this time I'm finding geocaches
The time to find power trail geocaches is obviously just after a Mega as the geotrails were clearly defined and lead straight to the prize, happy days
The downside to just about all the geocaches found today was that they were heavily guarded by mozzies , generally a quick in and out in all cases.
I solved the range of puzzles over the last year or two and am only finally getting around to finding them.

This was a fun puzzle to solve and it was #1 find on our big last day of cache hunting in Whittlesea. We had what we rarely have when we go caching.... a list! Hoping for no solved puzzles to be left unfound... TFTC Wiser than Owls and 6Hinemoa2.
After a long grueling day walking around the challenge trail, today was going to be a car day with nearly all park & grabs in a convoy. It was a big group effort to solve as much of the Geoart as possible, and in the end I think we got almost every one.
The bevy of cars all belong to the WCCG, being the Whittlesea Canberra Caching Group.
Thanks to all the CO's who placed caches for us to find!

Today was tiring, very successful and great fun. It was a joint effort by the group solving all these puzzles before we came down. Today was the day that we decided to go out and find them all together with some traditionals, letterboxes and multis as we passed them along the chosen route.
As I said it was a very successful day with no DNFs and all logs were signed as WCCG - Whittlesea Canberra Caching Group. Well everyone had lived in Canberra or nearby at some stage and it was great to join up with those who have moved on - without our permission I might add.
Big thanks to all the COs for the placement and maintenance of all these caches that added to the fun and excitement of the incredible MEGA.

Mrs W today joined "Team Tassie" consisting of 1toolman, stainless-steel-rat, gooseandegg, Budgietas and Tassie Trekkers to find caches around Whittlesea while attending the Mega. It was a fun day to be out with great friends finding great caches. TFTC
Today was day 2 around the Whittlesea area, and after the Escape Room, the crew (Goosenegg, Stainless Steel Rat, Tassie Trekkers and Whitewebbs) targetted the "LGA Mutlis" and other caches in the area
Thank you for the cache.

November 2022 was planned as a trip to the Mega in Melbourne, so we flew from Hobart to Adelaide to find quite a few caches that we had missed last time. Some great caches were found, but the planned boat trip was canceled due to the weather. No matter the showers we found quite a few caches on the trip (Around 600) including a number with high Terrian values.
The drive-through down the Murray river on the NSW / Victoria border showed the impacts of the current floods. A number of caches planned were canceled due to the flooding. Unfortunately, many of these caches will have been lost to the flood. The Mega, as per the whole week, was on and off a wet time, even so a number of caches were still found with Goosenegg, Stainless Steel Rat, Whitewebbs and Tassie Trekkers

28,991. Found with minniek during our Whittlesea Mega Adventure Trip. Alternatively signed as fitzy & minniek, F65 & MK, MAFS, WCCG or similar depending on who we were with at the time.
Day 4 of our Mega Trip. After three great days of our trip this was to be the biggest day plus heading home. The Canberra Region Cachers gathered for coffee and food before heading out to tackle the TWC, Letterboxes, Beginner Puzzles and anything else along the way (and there were a lot). Next cache of the day. A quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.

On our way to the mega and went via SA just so we could finish off the OYB series, We did these with TT and marked our territory with a stamp that said Team Tassie, most of the caches we found in good order and those couple that weren't we fixed up as best we could with what we had to hand.
All found now well till some more come out anyway!
Another year, another Victorian Mega, so where do we fly into, Adelaide like you do, after a few days in the city we ventured out into the wilds of SA before heading Northeast towards the border (You remember the name of the town, don't you?) before crossing over we teamed up with Tassie Trekkers and we all finished off the OYB series.
Our attempts at a few caches as we moved South that were near rivers were as half expected we were thwarted by floods so we didn't get to those but added the odd on in here and there.
At long last we arrived in Whittlesea for the Mega late in the evening of Friday 11th and after a quick event headed to our accommodation for the next few days. While in the area we explored the area finding caches all over the place and we even got to meet up with our Victorian ex Tassie cacher 1Toolman who traveled up from down South to join us for the day
Thanks for the cache.

Sunday, and again we teamed up with Tassie Trekkers and Mrs Whitewebbs to find as many of the local caches that we could, working on the TWC series, the multis (from the wall) and returning for the farewell event. We were joined by the toolman for the day too and had lots of laughs despite the horrendous weather.
It’s become a tradition to fly to a Mega via somewhere else so Stainless steel rat, budgietas and I flew from Hobart to Adelaide a week before the big event and, after a few days around the city, worked our way up along the Murray (where we could due to flooding) via Waikerie, Mildura, Swan Reach and Echuca before heading down through Shepparton to Whittlesea where we caught up, and cached with, a few other teams including Tassie Trekkers, Whitewebbs, 1toolman and icybeetas.
Thanks for all the caches.

Whittlesea Mega Trip Day 4. The second day of the Mega was a day for a whole bunch of Canberra cachers get together and make a mass effort on the TWC puzzle caches and any other caches that are on the roads we pass along the way. A huge effort had been put in by everyone in the team to solve all of these over the past year or so. There were several cars and our full group was Kitty Katch, Joolay, Barb2e, Isopeda, Dt773, Tankengine, Youban, Aquilus, Grayhams, Sol de Lune, LuckL10n, Smitten Granny, Contesta, cosmonaut97, Nibletricecakes, Gliss!, Fitzy_1965, MinnieK & I. We signed each log as WCCG - Whittlesea Canberra Caching Group. After grabbing a coffee at the on site vendor, we headed off and started tackling caches. There were some very rutted and wet tracks, a few trees that had to be cleared and even a walk or two. There were a few highlights, I will mention those in the relevant cache. It was a long tough day, but we made it back for the farewell event and a chance to get something to eat.

With the Whittlesea Mega, its GPS maze and a number of events on over the weekend, GreyHams and myself set of for our four-day caching trip. Perhaps one of our trips with not much of a plan but we seemed to fill the days fully and ticked of what we had in mind.
The trip down was one that followed the most sensible route... past lots of virtuals and definitely not the most direct, perfect! With a number of AL's as we passed and a few caches of interest we arrived at Whittlesea in time for the evenings event.
Saturday's forecast wasn't the most favourable for caching but the challenge series at Mt disappointment was of interest, and it's a challenge series after all so what's a little rain! We did get lucky really and a few showers blew through but for the most part it was dry enough. It was a long walk and a huge push, but we made it back to the car, a little broken and sore but it was a great series and worth the suffering! (There was suffering!) The day also saw us through the maze, a few AL's, caches and events.
With the prep of the puzzles prior to the weekend it was a group approach of the solving team, the Whittlesea Canberra Caching Group, logs signed WCCG for the Sunday. So great to head out with this group, a great trail of such variety of caches and locations. The huge storm overnight made it a little tricky with so much extra water about, a few downed trees, wet feet, some walks and a couple of leaches (was that just on me!) Great to collect these caches, or at least most of the ones we could.
It's not a caching trip without collecting new LGA's and we did manage a few extras, into Melbourne and its surrounds, feeling a bit stiff and sore from our huge walk it was a limp about for the rest of the weekend but cache on, we did!
Monday saw us back at the Mega for another event, a chance to finish of the AL's and a few last caches. Our journey home taking us through a few new LGA's, more virtuals, and caches of interest. A great weekend away, we filled all the days to the fullest. Many thanks to the Committee for organising and to all the CO's in the region and as we travelled about for your caches.

We have been planning our Whittlesea Mega trip for quite a while now, and then it was postponed, so new plans were made. It was finally time to make our way down with a convoy of myself and the FFLL ladies. We had a big weekend around Whittlesea with the ever-changing weather, fighting some hay fever, and finding a range of cache types. We also managed to catch up with a few cachers we had not seen for a while. We had a great time away, so thanks to all the COs and event hosts. Apologies in advance for the generic logs across the weekend finds, it in no way devalues any of the hides, we just have a lot of logs to write up.
Officially day 2 of the Mega, however day 3 for us in Whittlesea. Back to the Whittlesea showgrounds, a day of some more Showtime multis, TWC puzzles, labs and whatever we come across along the way. After a lovely walk along the Yan Yean Reservoir wall, we continued grabbing some more caches. Well that was an interesting way to solve and no issues with the hide, log stamped with our FFLL & RWLD stamp.
Many thanks to all the COs (including the event hosts) and thanks to the FFLL ladies for another funfilled weekend away.

After much planning and waiting, the time had come to head south for a few days to attend the Whittlesea Mega.
So, with the car packed, the convoy consisting of us and Rapidlywild hit the road. Our plans for the weekend included grabbing this series as well as others around the area.
The Victorian weather was interesting, definitely agree with the four seasons in a day, but it didn’t dampen our plans too much.
Day 3 of our adventures and today we headed back into Whittlesea to do some more Showtime multi’s, labs and TWC puzzles and anything else that crossed our path along the way.
Apologies for the generic logs, thanks to all the CO’s for the placements, we had a great time solving the puzzles and collecting them and many others along our journey. Most if not all were stamped with our FFLL and RWLD stamp.

Whittlesea day 3 with fitzy_1965
Last full day of caching before heading home.
Throughout the weekend we signed as fitzy & minniek, F65 & MK, MAFS, WCCG or similar depending on who we were with at the time.
Today we cached the TWC with our friends from Canberra. Unless otherwise mentioned, all caches were found quickly and easily.

Great to be picking up some of the many puzzles and multis solved over many months and trips, as well as collecting some letterboxes and trads and whatever else was in our path.
Today were some joint finds with Whittlesea Canberra Caching Group and signed WCCG. Caches in good condition unless otherwise stated. Many are the worse for wear from all of the flooding and wet weather events.
Thanks so much Wiser than Owls for getting us out and about, and for the adventure highlights around Whittlesea.

Thanks to all the CO’s for hiding your particular cache.

Out with LuckyL10n today, and a load of other Canberra Cachers to do the TWC series and other caches in the area. One cache we couldn't access, otherwise all caches were found and logged as WCCG (Whittlesea Canberra Cachers Group).

#16956 - 10:42:00 AM; Up early and on the road with Sol de lune ahead of a full day of caching planned for today. First stop was the showgrounds to officially check-in for the Mega and meet up with the rest of the Whittlesea Canberra Caching Group (WCCG) before we set off to collect a couple of power trails (TWC and Beginners) plus the Showtime multis and other caches along our planned route. All caches were found without incident (although at times the antics and efforts of our interpid cachers were rather amusing), and they were all in unsurprisingly good order given recent maintenance runs by the CO's and helpers. All logs were signed WCCG to evidence our visit. Apologies for the largely generic logs. TFTC Wiser than Owls
Chooo ooo [Found] with dty73, youban and a whole bunch of other Canberra/ex Canberra cachers on our Whittlesea Mega trip down south! We had dedicated today to collecting as many of these caches for which the puzzles had been solved prior to the Mega (and a few others) ... After last night's storms and much rain, it was lovely to see the sun again today! Mind you, almost everywhere we went was flooded, and it didn't take long for our shoes and pant legs to be completely soaked! Some lovely caches/locations amongst these! Signed as WCCG (Whittlesea Canberra Caching Group) - Thanks heaps for the cache!
Out with a big group of caching friends picking out the puzzles that we worked on for a few months and got a few others on the way. We signed as WCCG - Whittlesea Canberra Caching Group, which was comprised of barb2e, Joolay, Kittykatch, albida33, fitzy_1965, Minniek, Nibbletricecake, Gliss!, Cosmonaut97, Silverfox71, Firebatman88, Contesta, DTY79, Tankengine, Youban, Greyhams, SolDeLune, LuckyLion10, SmittenGranny, Aquilus1 and me.
Sorry for the generic logs, but we moved so fast, I just couldn't log on the run. We managed to get back to the closing event.
Thank you for all the puzzles, multis and trads.

Having a blast down at the Whittlesea Mega. Teamed up today with a group of friends from Canberra to tackle the puzzles and caches around town. Signed as WCCG (Whittlesea Canberra Caching Group). Have come home covered head to toe in mud and smiles. Thanks for a great day. Thanks for the cache!
Found this while attending the Whittlesea mega.
Depending on the log size and who I was with this is signed as nikid1, ND1 or TQ5 (team Queensland).
This series was solved back in Brisbane over quite a period. Some of these were easy and some just plan hard, lucky I have smart friends to help.
Thank you for all your efforts in setting up this series Wiser than Owls I do love a piece of geoart

Ilukaperi, Nakarra and myself thoroughly enjoyed our mega weekend, despite the weather. We camped away from it all at Anderson’s campground and headed into town every day. From smashing out some power trails where we worked together very well, as always, to the maze, the puzzle rooms. We had a ball. Thankyou to all those who placed and maintain these caches for us to find and to all the volunteer hours to run not just the mega, but all the satellite events as well. Brilliantly done.

We camped at Anderson's Gardens campground which was really nice as there weren't many people around with the weather forecast being what it was. We headed into town every day, about a 30 minute drive, but we weren't getting back to camp until fairly late each evening.
We had a great weekend, racing other geocachers along the dirt roads, and each other, to finding the caches.

According to all known laws
of aviation,
there is no way a bee
should be able to fly.
Its wings are too small to get
its fat little body off the ground.
The bee, of course, flies anyway
because bees don't care

Yellow, black. Yellow, black.
Yellow, black. Yellow, black.
Ooh, black and yellow!
Let's shake it up a little.
Barry! Breakfast is ready!
Ooming!
Hang on a second.
Hello?
- Barry?
- Adam?
- Oan you believe this is happening?
- I can't. I'll pick you up.
Looking sharp.
Use the stairs. Your father
paid good money for those.
Sorry. I'm excited.
Here's the graduate.
We're very proud of you, son.
A perfect report card, all B's.
Very proud.
Ma! I got a thing going here.
- You got lint on your fuzz.
- Ow! That's me!
- Wave to us! We'll be in row 118,000.
- Bye!
Barry, I told you,
stop flying in the house!
- Hey, Adam.
- Hey, Barry.
- Is that fuzz gel?
- A little. Special day, graduation.
Never thought I'd make it.
Three days grade school,
three days high school.
Those were awkward.
Three days college. I'm glad I took
a day and hitchhiked around the hive.
You did come back different.
- Hi, Barry.
- Artie, growing a mustache? Looks good.
- Hear about Frankie?
- Yeah.
- You going to the funeral?
- No, I'm not going.
Everybody knows,
sting someone, you die.
Don't waste it on a squirrel.
Such a hothead.
I guess he could have
just gotten out of the way.
I love this incorporating
an amusement park into our day.
That's why we don't need vacations.

Enjoying the Whittlesea Mega, TWC puzzles solved in lockdown and now was the time for finding the caches. Fortunately coords were spot on and no DNFs. Met several cachers along the way. Thanks Wiser than Owls and 6Hinemoa2 for the geocaching experience.
**This Cache:**
Between 7pm - 8pm tonight we managed to grab another 8 caches in the TWC series! Unfortunately we had another "Adventure Boy" member have to drop out and head back to family in Melbourne, but we continued on with the remaining members who were keen to finish the series tonight as best as we could despite the few gaps!
*Signed the log as **AB!** for "Adventure Boys! which for this cache consisted of Loci612, DARKSIDEDAN, injuryman and sebass19*

**Today:**
After being around Melbourne since Monday, the weekend had finally come and it was MEGA day!
After being split up in numerous places during the week, the "Adventure Boys" finally got all together in 2-3 cars for a day of fun! We all met at the "Welcome to Whittlesea" event and had a plan to smash out every single TWC cache we could, whilst detouring to each event that was held when the time came! We started off with the Maze & gadget caches on site, which took us to about 11am
We started this assault with the first TWC cache found at 11am, and after a busy day we had visited and signed every cache except for five of them by 9pm at night! pantspeople and Sui_001 had to leave a little bit early, but myself, DSD and sebass19 stuck together throughout the day. We also had numerous people join us for small sections including Roostaman, FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild and BellaHappyChappy. Apologies if I have missed anyone!
Thanks to all the CO's

Whittlesea Mega Wobble and Wade Tour: Day 6: Lets do some serious caching
Once again myself and Anymules were in Victoria on our way to a Mega event. We made a detour via Geelong and picked up Bushfire. It had been three years since we last all cached together. [^] Many laughs with friends at events and on the trails, many caches were found and unless something stood out these will be generic logs.
***Thanks Wiser than Owls for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***
Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

A tough puzzle but able to solve it eventually and easier find at the GZ somewhat!
A day trip down the highway from Bacchus Marsh to the mega with Sorceysal and Geo the puppy had us catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. This was a quick find with perfect coords. Thanks for placing.
I arrived at Whittlesea for the mega event. What a great place, and so much going on. I meet up with my caching buddies for the weekend and off we went, chasing caches all over the place. There are some fantastic views from up in those hills. It was a great weekend and I got a lot of caching completed. It was nice to see the rewards for the hard work solving those puzzles. Sorry for the generic log but I am sure others will supply hints in their logs. But as you know there lots of caches found on weekends like this.
This TWC series had us all over the place, some of the puzzles I found worthy, but then a few were really challenging. The hides were in nice locations, thanks for working on these.

Our 2nd MEGA Event, congratulations to the Whittlesea Committee !!!
Completing the TWC series was the main objective of this MEGA, it's one of the best series of puzzles undertaken in our short 3+ years of geocaching, very challenging, and many new puzzling techniques learned, along with some awesome new puzzling group buddies !!!
Bumped into weirdobiker, ConnieandRick, Larafolk, and some GC HQ folk in our TWC travels and shared our TOTT as required, so glad my beach fishing rod turned out to be the most awesome pole retrieval TOTT
Some improvisation required at certain GZ's such as Mrs poolpool climbing on to Mr poolpool's shoulders, and best of all NOT 1 DNF in 4 days of caching:
Day 1: 32 caches
Day 2: 38 caches
Day 3: 33 caches
Day 4: 4 caches (more TWC finds foiled due to the flash flooding)
Escaped the puzzle room with GC team: Hexograb, Riddell and Ronice88
The gadget caches were just SOOOO COOL
We left Whittlesea with 7 TWC caches remaining out of 78, pretty damn happy with that effort !!!
Thanks to all the COs for their placements, gadget creations, and all the effort that goes into making a MEGA memorable

This weekend was mega weekend and we headed over with Freddo, team Waldron, e.gregory1 and Davidwazza as part of our team called: ‘Aussies on Tour’, the log books were either signed with the name, AOT or our individual caching names.
A great weekend away and a very well organised mega despite the horrible weather thrown at us we still managed to find quite a few caches
Thanks for the cache

November 2022. Time for the second Victorian Mega of the year. This time in Whittlesea. What is it with W's? Time for another epic road trip. Who will join our merry crew? We traveled from South Australia and camped in the pig pen. It rained. It blew. It was sunny. It was not sunny. All four seasons. Beautiful location and some awesome caches.
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.
Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.
Grub62 and I were out replacing cache containers for Wiser than Owls and this happened to be one of them. We couldn't help ourselves so we signed the logbook of each one as we went around just prior to the Whittlesea Mega. We found/maintained a cache now in good condition. TFTC
It's Mega time, finally and after setting up camp and caching for an hour or two before the first event, Friday night Social Dinner. Now the dinner was over and there are plenty more caches to find. At the Dinner Neville_devil and I teamed up with n0w0rries for the night of fun and caching.
The aim for the night was to grab some outstanding compass geoart and an others that crossed our path in doing so. All caches were found in good order.
Thank you all involved with Wiser than Owls for the series

Day two of four days of caching together as TQ5 (Team Queensland Five) Our team members were chamad, Willis007, nikid1, KerriMG and Snickersallan.
Another long but enjoyable day had by all that went well into the night once again.
All caches found were in good condition and were quick to find with many eyes on the prize.
Thanks Wiser than Owls & 6Hinemoa2 and sorry for the late logs.

I needed help with this one. I had to ditch my little car as it wouldn’t handle this track. We hitched a ride with frilk and then walked to this one
We decided to stick around and find some caches after dinner.
Found during MEGA weekend. With the Geelong crew.

A beautiful sunny morning greeted me as I spent the morning grabbing the caches around the Whittlesea area in preparation for the Mega. I have solved most of this series. Time to get my name on the log. Connie (of ConnieandRick) and wierdobiker let me join them as we walked to the cache. TNLN. TFTC.
Have abandoned the car and walked to this one as we only have a 2WD and will continue along to get the others reasonably close by.
Found while in the area to attend the Mega Event at Whittlesea.
Today I joined up with Team Waldron, Freddo, gridge98 and Davidwazza as we made our way to Whittlesea and targeted caches of interest. All caches were signed A.O.T.

Day two of our Whittlesea collection effort.
We have solved all the Whittlesea caches, but had not gone to find any. As the Mega is quickly sneaking up on us, BettyBoo3747 and the geodoggies and I decided to drive out to Whittlesea and collect a few.
The roads were quite busy for a weekday, and apart from the 400ml square containers most caches were in reasonable condition. (all the 400ml's we emptied out!)
Thanks for maintaining this great series.
I hope your fruitcake will last as the Show has been delayed until January!
Nice puzzle, fun to solve.
Thanks, Robmc.

#20469. Day 2 and we headed back for more smilie faces. With the Mega less than 2 weeks away Robmc and I decided to head out to Whittlesea and surrounds to sign off on many of the puzzles we have solved and collect a few others that popped up on the radar. The scenery was beautiful and fortunately there were no DNFs. My total was 58 for the day. Unfortunately, as so many others have mentioned those square 400ml Sistemas seem to need emptying every time a cacher visits and this is exactly what we did at each one. Found 26 caches today.
Rob did part 1 and I sussed out what we needed to do for part 2. Great puzzle, most enjoyable. Unfortunately, a horrible access road to GZ and we left the others along here. Glad we could put a smilie on this one.
Thanks Wiser than Owls

After attending the Mernda event and getting our fill from those delicious sausages, it was time to head to Whittlesea with Crustyvarmint and his 2 geo dogs, Sook & Pilot, to try and pickup as many of the TWC caches as time and weather permitted.
The first part of the puzzle was the easy part, then the next step didn’t look too difficult until after a few attempts and not getting anywhere, I realised there must be a bit of a twist involved, but I couldn’t see it until a PAF pointed it out. Clever!
Steve sat this one out while Crusty & I walked very carefully down the slippery muddy track. Crusty won the race, having the cache in hand by the time I had caught up with him.
Thank you 6Hinemoa2 for the fun puzzle and Wiser than Owls for placing and maintaining this cache.

This looked interesting. I thought we might need to walk along here but, although the rain had made some patches of the road rather slick, Knight_shift and I managed to drive through. The cache was soon found, and the signing duties completed.

I’m on a rare trip to Melbourne kid and wife free so I thought I’d try and pick up a few of the TWC caches I’ve had solved for a long time. Today was day 2 and I was heading home, so I wasn’t going to let the rain and wet long grass deter me from grabbing a few smileys before jumping onto the freeway home.
The rain was persistent and steady, I was again wearing thongs to save my runners getting soaked.
Most caches were found quickly but a couple took a few minutes of searching before they were found. I managed 27 finds before calling it a day. Still plenty of reasons to return to the area!
Thanks for all the effort in this series, placing and maintaining the caches for the community.

Spiffy- and I along with my geopartner decided to head out this way and make some Inroads into these puzzles so we could relax and enjoy the actual Mega weekend more with the hard work of cache finding mostly done.
This cache was a quick find and we appreciated the effort on the containers.
Thanks to Wiser than Owls & 6Hinemoa2 for the fun and the adventure.

Today we headed out to Whittlesea area to look for some of the puzzles so we had less distractions and less things to do on Mega event day.
We started off on the beginners puzzles and just as we stopped at the first spot, a guy was saddling up his horse called Midnight and the first thing he said before we even went in the bush to look was "Are you geocaching?". That was perfect because we leapfrogged him a few times up the road collecting these and a few of the normal TWC puzzles as well and we didn't need to worry about him muggling us out.
After finding all the beginner series we then headed off randomly for other puzzles we had solved and had to turn back at one point because the road was washed out from all the rain a couple of days ago. It was also a successful test of Fleabag's home made retrieval pole on a couple of caches today as well.
Thanks Wiser than Owls for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Suscoe was caching today with our very good friends Phetlern.
We had been planning a trip to Whittlesea for quite some time and we can't believe our luck with the glorious weather that we have for today and Tuesday.
Sunny skies, no wind and mild temperatures. How lucky were we to pick the days between rain events. Terrific countryside to enjoy and some good caches to find.
Thanks to Wiser Than Owls and 6Hinemoa2 for this cache, Fruitcake is a winner on any day in our books.

Two days of perfect weather! How lucky could we be, to be caching with our special friends Suscoe. A well planned trip, with a set of plotted cache loops centred around Whittlesea.
We enjoyed the variety of puzzles, hides and locations amongst some amazing views.
Thanks to Wiser than Owls for your continued contribution to the gameboard.

Off for a day of geocaching with the destination of the Whittlesea puzzles and a few multi Way Points of some Multicaches I'm working on and what ever other caches caught my eye while passing thru. Pretty happy with 42 finds, with only 1 DNF.
Glad that I cam see patterns pretty well as it helped with this puzzle.
2wd car just made it. Glad it had beendry for a few days.

We started to solve these puzzles very soon after they were published. We managed to solve most relatively quickly, but needed extra effort and some nudges to complete the rest. The COVID reared its ugly head and the solved puzzles sat in a pile as we had to take Victoria off our caching schedule for about two years. Earlier this year, with COVID restrictions easing, we came back into Victoria to cache and we had some time to look for TWC caches. Today, after the event in Whittlesea, we looked for a few more.
This cache took some time to solve, and we needed a little help from the creator of the puzzle when we got stuck. Today we went to look for the cache. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Wiser than Owls for the puzzle and cache.

Loved the show animals n the puzzle. Once we parked near the final we quickly located the cache hide.
Thanks for the fun puzzle and maintaining this cache hide.

The Whittlesea puzzles and letterbox caches have been taunting to get out and give them a visit. It’s been a while since using the grey matter to solve them, now to get out and find them.
Plus a few Trads and Adventure Labs.
Struggled with traction get to here so I didn’t continue on. But I was able to make a quick find of the cache.
Log signed and replaced as found.

After attending the event at Mernda Bunnings we headed off to find some caches north and east of Whittlesea. Goodness you certainly need to take notice of the sign on this road!! Dry weather road only. It was dry today so that was ok and the section to this cache wasnt tooooo bad lol JMelb solved this puzzle and GMelb made the find.

It was time to visit Whittlesea and put my name in the array of Mystery caches brought out for the Mega .
I had enough in the solved list to keep us occupied for the day, and actually to be quite honest, I didn't really think we would get my shopping list all marked off in one day, but we did, and not only these ones, but we sniffed out another mystery cache that dalerious had not done yet, which was pretty much the only cache left here that he hasn't done , which lead us to a generous bag full of traditional's linked to this Paul_the_Hippy mystery.
So to say we were busy this fine day would be an understatement [:o)].
This set of mystery caches were varied and interesting. Some were frustrating, but most were enjoyable. Some had twists and turns that deserved a higher D rating, in my opinion .
Some I worked out solo, some all I needed was a single prompt, one or two I would not have been able to do without alot of help. In saying all that, I can't wait to get cracking on the one's I have left to do, although most of those require plenty of thought processing to provide a correct answer .
I have started on the Letterboxe's and I do enjoy the old style form of Letterboxing .
Thank you Wiser than Owls, and the rest of the brains trust whoo, whoo contributed to provide us with so much joy and frustration .

The sun was out this morning so it seemed like a good day to head up to Whittlesea and complete the maintenance run on the rest of The Whittlesea Compass series. I found some of these when they were first released, but the rest were solved over numerous lockdowns and have been sitting in ny solve pipe ever since.
This was a creative puzzle that took a little bit to get to the end. Found the cache at home today and signed the log.
Thanks Wiser than Owls for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Checked on the cache today. The log book and cache are in good condition and ready to be found.
Out and about with Mrs 80 d clearing out some more of the TWC series. Had the answers for quite some time for these and glad to get more similes here. Nice and dry this one. Great work with puzzles and effort here Wiser than Owls. Thanks for your time and efforts here. So glad to see some green open spaces still.
Today was another ladies day as Mrs80 and xambo4u went out to tackle some more of the TWC series. Unfortunately we forgot some necessary equipment so another trip will be required shortly however if we could reach them in most cases we found them. Many of the logs were damp but we were able to sign. The clue made for a quick find. TFTC
Today we had an opportunity to collect some of this enjoyable series.
This puzzle was great fun to solve and a bit of a twist to finish off.
It’s good to tick off some more solved puzzles before the next planned Event. Found in good condition and dry log. Thanks so much for the cache.
