Logs
A sunny Saturday in the area and we enjoyed markets and local crafts as well as local caches. At GZ the cache name made sense and Mr NZT made the find. TFTC!
It has been a while since I have cached in Warkworth so today I decided to go there to sign off a few caches.I like being behind these things when I see the idiots behind the wheel.Cheers for the cache, G-2.
Passing through Warkworth today and needed to make a stop for a carsick passenger ( thx Brynderwyns detour .. ), so picked the side of the road here to kill two birds with one stone - quack quack .. A nice quick easy find and despite the lid being missing, the log inside was still nice and dry. TFTC
A quick stop on our way to Warkworth. We have passed here a few times and finally remembered to stop and look for the cache, which ended up being a nice quick find.Awesome sign nearby too.The weather forecast today wasn't great with a lot of rain predicted but apart from a bit of wind it was a lovely day so far.TFTC
Im back in New Zealand for the first time in four and a half years. Im here for just over three weeks visiting the family. Nice to see a number of new caches about, in places that I have found caches before. Road trip today to head down the island to visit more family. I dont have any time constraints so can stop for a cache or two on the way. Decided to stop in Warkworth for some lunch before heading to the motorway through Auckland. A quick find here. Tftc.
We put a new paper in it and plastic around and located closer to where we think the coordinates were originally. Loved showing our NZ friends geocaching.
I got a bit excited and overstepped the mark in my search, as mentioned in another log, coords might be a tad out. These days the road is so quiet you can count the cars passing. TFTC
I'm off to Auckland today to spend the weekend with the my grown up kids and their families who live down there. Saturday's plan is to join the Auckland Geocachers in the morning for a walk in the Waitakere Ranges. Sunday's plan is to watch my Grandkid play hockey then hang out and relax at their place.
I'm very short of points for this month's souvenir challenge so today I'm hoping to collect a good 250 points. With tomorrow's tally I'll be within reach of my target.
I've eyed this one up for some time but I was saving it for a challenge to find 50 caches each 1km apart. Decided I needed points today instead. I parked at the new bus park along the road and walked to this one. A quick find between the groups of traffic. Thanks for the cache

... and again *Filser1* and I were allowed to search for and find a cache of the CO, who is very much appreciated by us.

On our way to Auckland TEMBO! and I managed a short stop at "Quack Quack". We found the cache quickly and put our nicks in the logbook. There are a lot of traffic at this time.
Thanks to skullznxbones— now G-2 for hiding and maintaining the cache.

TFTC. Found while staying locally for a few days. Managed to get here while it was not to busy on the main road. Cache was in good condition but not where I initially thought. GPS was a little off.
I'm on a week's annual leave, choosing to spend time traveling north to visit and reconnect with a few friends up here, and naturally that also gives me an opportunity to do some caching up this way again. Today is day 4, which involves driving south from Kaiwaka to Auckland.
I was here in early March 2020 to attend the wedding of some friends. This is the first time I've spent time here since then so it was a good chance to stop and look for this new cache since then.
The co-ords are a bit out (about 8-10m), as the cache was found in the more obvious location. No issues otherwise and I was able to sign the log and replace as found before setting off again.
Thanks for placing this one.

Coordinates are out. So took a little bit of looking. But found it in a good place!
Traffic wasn't too bad so it was easy to pull over and grab this cache as I was heading south

After spending the better part of the day at a family event, north of Dargaville, with the elder future finder this Boxing Day, it is time to head for home. Of course, we broke the return trip up by finding a couple of caches along the way. This was the last stop/search/find of the evening. We have travelled past GZ many times but hadn't stopped before now as I wasn't sure if this was a park in grab or not (The GPSr points well into the park). Well, on approach to this one I finally checked the cache page and confirmed that it was, in fact, a park and grab. As such, and given the light traffic this evening, I did just that--parked up and made the grab. As the coordinates are clearly out I relied on the information on the cache page to make a quick find. Right, time for the last leg of the homeward drive. Cheers for the cache placement skullznxbones!
Was heading back into Warkworth for other adventures and approaching this one from the right angle meant a park n grab approach was made. Coordinates were about 12-15 metres adrift, found it with the hint, thanks, all good and replaced as found.
Took a days leave today for a couple of reasons. Firstly it's my birthday today and with mrs c scheduled to be at work (she was off sick in the end though, and stayed at home), and secondly I wanted to head up to the Northernmost Regional Park at Te Arai, East of Wellsford. The sun came out, I was on the road nice and early and I managed to find the 20+ G_2 caches that would get me into 4 figures of finds by him. Thanks to all COs for their hides today, and the final cache find was 33. Like my age. Once upon a time!

Alert level change
Due to my new job I am struggling to maintain my caches, cache is up for adoption for someone who has the time to put into them

We had to make a mercy dash back up north in the afternoon to pick up our dogs before what we anticipated would be an another level 4 lockdown announcement. The roads were deadly quiet around Walkworth which is a once in a lifetime opportunity to take, and take we did! Thanks for the stress free P&G
Walked back from Kowhai Park as a bit tricky parking camper. Instant find as had read logs re ignoring GPS!
Thanks
Thanks
Damn, took longer to find than it should have because at GZ it showed we still had 21m to go.
Quick find once we ignored the duck. So many muggles in cars tho - hard to be sneaky
This one wins the award for the farthest away from the published coords. I knew that I didn't have to go into the grassy area, but I did spend some time with Mr. Duck before realizing where I needed to be. TFTC.
A group of us were heading over to Kawau Island for the day, but seeing as there were a lot of new caches in Warkworth I was planning on heading up early to find them before we had to catch the ferry over to the island. Gorby asked if he could come with me and I convinced him that I would be leaving at 7am. It was a nice quiet drive up and we had plenty of time to find all the caches in the area and arrive in time to meet the ferry.
Tried to approach this from the wrong way and had trouble locating the cache. This time, as the tracks were closed we decided to try a different approach and ended up finding this straight away.

Eventually me and Aiden29 will arrive at Sandspit to head over to Kawau Island along with 6 others, but in the mean time she and I are discussing which caches she and I haven't done before. This is one of them.
So we head north, then do a quick u-turn to swing around Danielle's cool new vehicle so the cache becomes on our LH side and easy parking was provided in between the barriers. We get out and despite the co-ords being quite a distance out, the hint get's us to the cache! Danielle finds the cache in the first spot she checked. Love it when that happens! We happily sign with her cool pen she carries around on her neck. Then we head back into Warkworth to find a few more caches before we head to Kawau. Thanks for bringing us here skullznxbones. We really have enjoyed your caches today.

Parked up where I thought it should be and following the hint I was able to make a quick find. Coords about 13m out for me, have added coords to this log.

So sorry we couldn't get the last one in Warkworth ...
Went to 4 diff access points and found fences or Track closed due to Kauri Die Back signs.
Unless there is a way we are permitted to enter....
if so could C.O. please advise us...and future hunters...

GAR told me there was a new cache in Warkworth - but we were in Te HiHi. However, by the time we did everything we had set out to do in Auckland it was late afternoon, traffic was building up and, if not for hint, we'd be looking in the wrong place. Took a while what with traffic etc but I made the find and found a blank log {FTF}! Thanks for placing skullznxbones. Managed to CITO a whole bag full from near GZ, as we were wlaking back to Showgrounds we could have used another bag or two but only had the one.
