Leeches galore! Spent more time peeling leeches off me than it did to find the cache. Found signed and got out of there. TFTC
After having lunch nearby, Bear and I decided that we had time to find a cache. We headed over here. What a beautiful little spot. Bear found the cache, whilst I made the pen work.Cheers
Im visiting from Canberra at the moment, and left it until about sunset to come out for a walk to get my daily cache today. I have never spent much time in cemeteries (outside of geocaching, that is) but from what I can tell, this is quite a beautiful one. Its quite large in size yet all of the graves and grounds look to be taken well care of, and theres a small church building here which I imagine to be a nice place for a sit and a quiet reflection. It also seems to be a popular area for people to visit with their dogs, as there are many people here walking them around the grounds and down the aisles, as a kookaburra watched from a nearby tree.Making my way into the bush, I admired some of the tree roots that spiralled around and around each other. As the gps was bouncing around a bit, I checked the logs after Id tried a few places to no avail to see if I could find any hints. One log mentioned finding a rubber duck - which I then found and gave a little pat on the head before continuing on. That same log also mentioned being attacked by leeches, and I remembered that those are particularly a problem up here (I shant mention the nightmares I endure when I was last staying up here in March lol). Just like that, an otherwise peaceful afternoon turned into me worriedly checking my shoes every minute or so. Luckily, instead of coming across any leeches, I found the cache As I emerged from the bush, the clouds were a beautiful mauve colour and the kookaburras were laughing away. Thanks for the cache
I parked a little way from the cemetery and as soon as I turned my car off it started pouring rain. I waited it out and soon found the little bush path to the cache. Found a rubber duck on the ground that I originally thought might be cache related, but I guess not, so I left him in a nice perch. After checking many plausible spots and smacking mozzies I signed the log and made a swap. Did a leech check and found 3, so I quickly got out of the bushy area!! Once I got back to the gravel I did a more thorough check and found another leech laying flat inside my shoe, luckily hadn't latched on yet maybe going here in rainy weather was a bad idea but thanks for the cache
Little bit of a bush bash for this one... Watch out for the leeches Found with SpinnaWin
Parked up the top inside the cemetery and a short walk to GZ.Walked past the brush turkey nest, with the hint, eventually found, thanks for the hide Wonka
This was such an adventure it was so cool. Just be aware of magpies they followed us into the bush. TFTC
Finally found after missing previously thanks you for photo from previous comments really helped! Kids Left some goodies for next people.
Asoltly loved this find, the trail marking made it so simple for the kidlets and they lived all the birds, found with 4opossums
This was such a fun cache to find. Left some prizes for other little explorers. Found with my4monkeys
Oooh a cemetery. Love visiting them. Lovely bit of bush here. Not too hard. Log is damp and has no pen.
I had no idea this place was here. Restful peace indeed. Looks as though it hasn't been found in a while. Found it in a likely looking spot but had to dig a bit as it was half buried in leaves. The log is damp but was still able to sign.
A quick little walk into the bush along a faint trail brought us to GZ where a short search had the cache found.
Thanks for the cache !
Thanks for the cache !
Took me a few minutes to find this one! I was too caught up on the "Roots" hint, but felt like it was more "Stump" once I had located it! Coordinates are pretty good though so stumbled across it after checking all the roots first!
Thanks
Thanks
We are on a five day holiday to the Central Coast, staying at the NRMA/Big4 Ocean Beach Holiday Resort (caravan Park) in Umina Beach. Looking to do some of the many Central Coast Adventure Labs, visit some previously solved Puzzle/Mystery cache GZs, and to collect any other caches we come across during our daily travels. This was the 3rd of 5 finds for the day, and 3rd find of the holiday.
Drove down to the end of the road within the cemetery, then headed off into the scrub and down to GZ. The GPSr was struggling under the dense tree canopy, but we eventually tracked down the hide and had CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. It's always nice to have a visit to a cemetery. TFTC Wønka.

Visiting my Mum and Dad’s graves here at Point Clare but couldn’t find this one. A rather pissed off funnel web spider also contributed to the early departure! Ha ha.
Nice little hide. There was once another cache nearby. The wet weather has not affected this one. However the walk in is still damp and the leeches are taking advantage. Took marbles. Left space man. Tftc.
A very peaceful place for a cache but be aware of leaches. Just attacked by a very large one who wants to guard the cache.
It’s been moved from the gps spot slightly but still in the general area, the hint is now also a bit inaccurate but still a good find
Hi everyone, quick update
With cases on the coast I was afraid the virus would spread through contact of my caches and that people would be bored and break restrictions to find caches outside their area (I know I’ve found most of the caches in the area I’m limited to) which is why I disabled them. I disabled them once I found out a Sydney-sider came to the coast to do some caching during restrictions illegally.
I’d like to thank Coasties for following restrictions and not letting it get out of control here. With that in mind and the Central Coast no longer classified as greater Sydney for covid restrictions, I’ll re-enable all my caches within the next week. I’ll just do a quick checkup on all of them since I haven’t checked them in a few months.

From 6pm today the Central Coast is in lockdown.
While I understand you can still go out and exercise (and presumably Geocache) I will be temporarily disabling all my caches for the 2 week lockdown.
I’m doing this purely because if an infectious person find one of the caches and another Cacher comes along they could become infected from the previous finder.
I hope you understand and that this is only for 2 weeks (or until lockdown ends if extended)

Went up north from home to do some caching on a beautiful Saturday. Parked nearby and walked down to the cache, accompanied by the barking of one of the neighbour's dog.
Found with Shaneo58, while down at the Central Coast, trying to do a Adventure Lab in the area. Nice little hide, The hint had us looking a lot lower than required.
**Thanks For The Cache** Wønka.
This is the 1st cache of 7 for today making a grand total of 3166 at 9:13:00 AM on ThursdayMay2021

Found it. Usually this serene quiet area of bushland would be enjoyable, but this felt really creepy, probably just because of the babies buried right at the back of the cemetery that I had to walk passed on my way to GZ. Once I found a stick to help relocate some webs it was an easy find. Thanks!
Always enjoy a good graveyard. So much life, even if it's passed into the past. Found a little higher than expected and in good order. Thanks Wønka.
Found on the ground out in the open, but still sealed. Everything in good nick. Have placed it back where I think it should be. Hint: Waist height. Sorry if that isn't the correct spot.
Thanks for the cache and bringing me to this area. I never knew there was a cemetery here !

Covid is back on the coast so to prevent another outbreak here, I’m temporarily disabling all of my caches.
A quick park and grab despite the GPS playing silly buggers. Cache was found out in open and we suspect recent rains washed it into the open. We replaced within a foot of where we found it. TNLN TFTC
I was at Bunnings this afternoon getting some stuff I needed for a little project at home, so took the opportunity afterwards to slip around to the cemetery to have a look for this cache, something I would have done 3 months ago if not for some virus.
I took a look at the hint as I went into the bush and I'm glad I did ... it didn't take long to make the find, but I think it would probably have taken longer to make the find without the hint. Thanks for placing a cache here Wonka.

After being at home 24/7, I had to get some food and decided to try to find this cache to get a bit distracted and away from the news for a change.
GPS insisted on pointing to the other directions. I put it away and quickly found it.
Editing: Getting home, the back of my sock were covered in blood! That’s when I saw a tiny little hole on my heel. Leech?
Thanks Wønka for placing Restful Peace!

Very well hidden. Make sure you have a good hard look where the hint says! Missed it the first time and my friend found it after I’d already looked!
A bit rainy today, so no fullon-geo-adventure as planned, but I did notice this newly published nearby cache. Drove in and had a casual wander to GZ. Easy to find ... once I eventually looked in the right spot. Signed log and replaced all good.
I grew up in Point Clare (and Kincumber) and probably this is the only cemetary that has real meaning for me. Visited my Dad and his parents here today, although for a while I thought I was not going to find the headstone.
The cache previously nearby, as mentioned by BFJ, was [https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC4VC23_birth-to-death](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC4VC23_birth-to-death) , now archived, a very lovely little cache which I still have a fave point attached to.
Thanks for the cache Wønka and for drawing me back here.

The power was turned of at our house so they could work on it. So we decided to go out and get a cache I have in mind ready to be placed . Then on the way to lunch we stopped for this cache as it falls in my 30k radius and visited my brothers grave at the nearby cemetery. Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
When I saw this published yesterday I was hoping the FTF would still be up for grabs today as I was coming up to Kariong and surrounds from Sydney to lead the Bird Watching walk. No such luck, already 2 finds last night.
I arrived up here very early, you're supposed to be early when you're the leader right?
Well I had plenty of time so drove down to Point Clare to grab the cache. I love cemetery caches, looking at the history of an area but this wasn't really in the cemetery after all.
It was just a short walk away. Once at GZ a beautiful Kookaburra was sitting right beside the spot. He watched me circumnavigate it until I found the cache, nicely hidden.
Signed the log as 3TF then headed back to Mt Penang.

The drive up the M1 from Turramurra took forever with a number of cars crashing on the Mooney Creek bridge and it was getting dark as we were passing Point Clare. I took the detour up to the cemetery as we had been here before, then applied mozzie repellent liberally before heading into the bush. I did not use the correct track in but easily reached GZ and took the right track out. The cache was nicely hidden and not easy to see in the gloom, but I did retrieve it and logged. Thanks Wonka for another good hide, I did like the area despite being so close to the cemetery.
FTF at 15:40.
I didn't park at the parking waypoint as, being in Miranda Avenue, Erina, it looked to be a bit of a long hike across to Point Clare. Instead I parked near the end of the sealed road in the cemetery alongside another parked car. Was someone else already at the cache?
Some years back (in 2014 I think), Mumma-Kel (now FreeRangeKelly) had a cache quite close to this one. I'd headed over from Umina as soon as it was published but ended up parking at the end of a line of cars and joining the queue to sign the logbook. Yes, there were a few more active cachers on this part of the coast back then and FTF races were a real thing.
No race today, though, as after a quick find with good coordinates, I had an empty log awaiting my signature, with the only company being swarms of mozzies. Luckily I had some repellent with me. By the time I'd returned to the car, the other vehicle had gone so probably not a cacher after all.
Many thanks for the hide in a nice peaceful spot and giving me an excuse to get out of the house on a pleasant afternoon.
