Logs
We found it after some looking in the dark after finding the Jenny Dixon one
Nice walk down to GZ and nobody atou d in this neck of the woods. Very nice area I never knew was here. Found with JIDTime22. TFTC
What a walk. Thanks to this cache, I dont need to do treadmill today yay. Found with zeus040 and took the basketball and left a car and a ossie. TFTC MM
A quick find after the Pirate event at Budgewoi. It was a long walk, but it was worth it. The track was in pretty good condition, but the wind blowing off the lake was extreme. It is a forest of paperbark trees in there. TFTC
Now the apprentice eagle eye found this one is gaining in confidence plus plus. Found with Kaz444 and Goldberry17. TFTC.
(1 of 13 today - including 5 Adventure Labs)Back to the Central Coast to totally overdo my calendar caching target today. Was after five but found eight - not counting the ALs.Thought I'd give two previous DNFs another try - and found both. Also "found" another DNF, though. Grumblegrumble...A pleasant day, but as I often do, a tad too much backtracking to make for an efficient trip.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###So, back to this one. My history with this area was detailed in my DNF log.Today, I looked to avenge my being stymied by standing water.Parked at the appointed spot and started my walk in. No sign of trouble until I got to the location that halted me in my tracks previously. and there is still standing water here! But nowhere near as much. Found a way through where the water never reached the laces of my waterproof hiking boots. Perfect. No other problems on my route and I just walked up to GZ and made the find. Easy! Then took to a nearby bench to complete signing duties... Erm, did I mention the wind? All the trees had been swaying on my journey, and as I tried to sign the log did it's best to blow away in the wind. Luckily I kept a tight grip on it. Eventually completed signing on the leeward side of a tree.Back for the replace and then found a small detour that skirted the boggy area completely - which wasn't viable first time here.So glad to turn this into a smilie - a favourite for my history at Canton Beach.SLTNLNTFTC
Where it all begin was turned into a where all returned? DNF removed from my he map, thanks mighty minions for the performed maintenance. Its really a gorgeous location to admire the lake
Tried to find this one, but silly me didnt realise it was floodedAll swampy and no access
Beautiful little area! Coordinates were out a little but once we stopped and looked around, it was in a very obvious spot.TFTC
Staying at the nearby caravan park for a few days. What a beautiful walk along the path. I reckon it deserves a favourite point for the location and the story behind it. Big thanks to Mighty Minions for placing this cache. Cache number 8544 on February 13, 2024
A perfect day. And a perfect walk. Found easily. But the journey was thr prize here. Third bridge has seen better days. FAV point from me!
We are loving exploring all the well maintained bike tracks on the CC. We keep finding these beautiful peaceful little spots all along the coast. TFTC
We have travelled from Sydney's Northern Beaches to the Central Coast for a five day midweek holiday, staying at the Norah Head Holiday Park (caravan park) in Norah Head. Having already found most of the caches around Norah Head and the areas surrounding Tuggerah & Budgewoi Lakes on previous holiday visits, except for a few new ones and the odd DNF needing a visit/revisit, on this trip we will be concentrating our efforts in areas to the north of Lake Munmorah. Planning to explore areas around the southern & eastern shores of Lake Macquarie, including Wyee, Gwandalan, Doyalson North, Cams Wharf, Murrays Beach, Pinny Beach, Caves Beach, and Swansea. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base.Today we travelled from Sydney to the Central Coast via the F3 Pacific Motorway, taking the Wyong Road exit for some caching at Tuggerah, Chittaway Point, Wadalba, Hamlyn Terrace, Gorokan, Canton Beach, and Magenta, before arriving at our Norah Head accommodation. This was the 7th of 8 finds for the day (day 1), and 7th find of the holiday. After visiting the Coles supermarket in Toukley for food supplies, and the co-located Salvos OP shop for some other goodies, this was the next cache we came to. We had DNFed this one on our last Norah Head holiday almost exactly a year ago, and we were worried that it was going to be another DNF for this trip when we noticed it had been recently disabled due to it being missing, but thankfully the CO had performed some speedy maintenance prior to our arrival.Approached the cache via the retirement village, walking through the village and then following the bush track down to GZ for a super quick find in the exact place we were sure it should have been last time. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found, complete with it's two cute little guardians inside. It was great to read all about this spot being the location of your very first find. Long before geocaching was invented, way back in the late 1960's and early 1970's, we used to have family camping holidays at the nearby Canton Beach camping grounds, and us kids would most likely have walked up to this location during those holidays.TFTC, and for the excellent & speedy maintenance, Mighty Minions. We will also delete the DNF photo we posted last time, as it could now be considered a spoiler photo Find #6498
The cache has been replaced, The co ords may be a little out because of the tree cover but the hide is in a pretty obvious spot
Was just doing the geo-maps for our upcoming Central Coast holiday (staying at Norah Head December 4th to 8th) and noticed this one was disabled yesterday. Really hoping it's back before our trip, as we DNFed it on the last trip in December 2022, so it would be disappointing to have another DNF on it.
MaJoBiLo Strikes again.
Whilst we were hampered by a collapsed bridge walking from caravan park, closer to the lake found an impromptu repaired section to Solder on to find the cache.
TFTC.
Great little find.

Quick find whilst staying at camp Toukley. Nice area on the lake. Nice weather for finding a cache. TFTC!!! #2141
Just catching up on some logging, I missed a few!! Found with MAC and PIG on 10/4/23. Log book signed. Thanks Mighty Minions, lovely spot.
While attending the CO's 10th Geocaching birthday nearby, a few cachers decided to find this cache as the sun was going down. When we arrived the group checked a couple of trees out, but Laighside Legends made the find with a torch. Stamped log and replaced. Thanks to Mighty Minions.
TFTC,
We attended the 10th caching birthday party for Mighty Minions and since I missed out on a challenge once because I had one day in my streak where I failed to do a cache with a physical log. I always make sure I do a physical cache with a log when I attend an Event now.
Towards the end of the event, someone said we were going to do a traditional cache that was just down the edge of the lake. Well 960m later we arrived at GZ and Laighside Legends made the discovery.
What a great story to share about your first cache find.
Guess we took to long because when we returned, all but one attendee had gone. Adding a favourite for the combined event and cache, visited trackables in company.

After the nearby event was finishing up due to the publication of a new cache we decided to walk to this one as it was fitting that the event was a 10 year anniversary and this was the location of the first find that MM made.
We walked with a few other teams and the great conversation along the way made the distance pass quickly, Laughside Legends making the find.
Thanks for a good hide MM.

Well after settling in at the van park set off to have an enjoyable stroll along the path. But there was an obstacle in the way, a 6ft red bellied black snake asleep on the track and didn't want to move. But after getting his photo taken he finally moved for me. Nice way to be greeted at Canton Beach. Thanks MM for this cache. Will give it a fav point for the cache and snake
Camping at Canton Beach with my munchkins.
This cache was calling my name, only 750 metres away!
We decided that today should be a lazy day doing not much of anything at all. I was happy to leave them to their own devices and head off across the first bridge.
What a lovely shady path
I enjoyed my stroll, catching glimpse of a few feathery friends as I went along. Reaching GZ I was glad to have the whole area to myself. The cache was located quickly, I took it over to the seat to sit a while, sign the log and enjoy the view.
Thanks for the smiley Mighty Minions
Happy to part with a FP for this cache.

walked out and checked on the cache today and it was indeed missing. I took a replacement cache and replaced it today. I had the co ords as 3 metres at GZ but there is a lot of tree coverage. look for the tree with the hollow cavity the cache is inside .
We have travelled up from Sydney's Northern Beaches to the Central Coast, staying at the Norah Head Holiday Park (caravan park), for a short four day mid-week holiday. Stopped off on the way up at Somersby Falls and completed the Adventure Lab located there, then grabbed a few Traditionals and a Virtual cache before returning to the freeway and on to Norah Head. Planning on exploring areas surrounding Tuggerah Lake, including The Entrance, and up to Budgewoi. Also hoping to get out to Halloran for the Wizard Of Oz cache trail. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base.
Today we headed out to Halloran to walk the Wizard Of Oz cache trail, stopping off along the way for a few Traditional caches, and afterwards collected a previously solved Mystery/Puzzle cache and then a Traditional cache at San Remo. Stopped at Budgewoi for a late lunch, then back to the Norah Head Holiday Park for a swim in the pool. A total of 12 finds, and 2 DNFs, for the day (day 3).
This was our first cache stop for the day, but sadly it was also our first DNF for the day. Searched for quite some time but failed to find any trace of a cache. The tree closest to the coordinates had a lovely big cavity to house a cache, but sadly nothing was found inside.

It was a lovely walk through the palm tree and paperback forests. Looked in the likely places around GZ but couldn't find it. I was eventually put off by a menace on a mini bike doing laps back and forth, and gave up.
Tried to grab it and a few others on a nice bike ride around the lake !DNF today despite my efforts amongst muggles that seemed to transport in from the Enterprise ! ??Logged with [GCDroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gcdroid).
I am gradually catching up with my logging - am currently only a month and a bit behind. But that's still over 100 caches!
To be honest, while I still find searching for caches fun, I'm finding logging less so. But I have to log to get me stats and souvenirs, so...
Only a few Adventure Labs and my First2Finds have been written up in a timely manner - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.
Nevertheless, I have kept up with my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, but somehow I expect that will eventually prove too hard as I have to travel a good distance if I want more than a cache a day.
Thanks to all the CO's who have made it possible to keep my goal in sight. Most of the finds have been Traditionals, but a few Puzzle series and the odd other cache type have been grabbed where possible.
Sorry the logs are very generic, but I'll never catch back up otherwise.
###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###
Last time I headed south to appease the Caching Calendar Gods, so today I decided to head up to the Central Coast.
Thought I'd head towards Canton Beach, where I spent a few New Year's Eves back in the 80s. So much quicker driving there these days!
Made 10 finds, including a fun puzzle and a challenge.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Tried my best to get to this one but there was so much water I couldn't get within 150 metres of this one today - either by track or by beach.
Maybe next time.

Wow that was an adventure! After a long and very wet walk along the suggested path, I found the cache in great condition. Definitely recommend gumboots or waiting till there has been a long dry period for this one!
I had a decent window of opportunity to do some caching today after dropping off my snuggle muggle at Gosford Hospital for another round of medical treatment. I decided to head to the northern part of the Coast since there's a few caches that have popped up since I was last in this part of the world.
I took the suggested route to GZ initially, but water and mud blocked my way before I got there ... I'm less inclined to get wet feet and dirty clothes than Team737 obviously is. As I walked, though, I remembered that I'd taken an alternative route to GZ when I found the old cache there years ago with Mumma-Kel (a find that would have been early on in our geo-careers too, though not the first), so I returned to the car and made my way to the access point we used then. It ended up proving to be a much more accessible route, and it didn't take me long to reach GZ and make the find.
Thanks for bringing me back to Canton Beach Mighty Minions, I think for the 4th or 5th time, all in the name of geocaching.

Do not recommend this one after heavy rain unless you bring gumboots.

Where it all began??
What did we do before we had geocaching.... I've often wondered this. This afternoon my son and I spent a great few hours chatting in the car, and on a few walks - we talked about school, maths, idiot drivers and life in general. When I think of all these chats over 5000 odd finds, and the friends we've made during the same time - I know this activity is the best out there. I sometimes wonder how everyone who tries it isn't instantly addicted!?
Our first find or two weren't nearly as worthy, a bison in a tree nook (still there!) and a mint-tin in a tree....
We parked at the parking coords, then set off on the track, which got pretty wet, we did manage to finish with dry socks though, needing a fallen log to traverse a nice little lake that has formed in the middle. The cache was found with a widened search, after our initial coordinates led us 10m off, but then at GZ the GPS had settled to 3m. The cache is in great condition too.... TFTC, an FP for the sentiment.....

Found today on a cache drive with my Dad, Had an amazing time finding all the caches around this area! After navigating over here, we parked the car and continued the walk, at first it was a bit muddy, then a bit more, then there was water, blocking our track. So we walked along a log over the top and made a quick detour around, we arrived where we found the cache!
TFTC Mighty Minions, FP for the nice walk!

My gps said it was 9m off the location but Adam found it while I was looking in another hollow spot.
Thank you, missed it a few times, but the eldest went back for another look
We enjoyed a nice sunny days walk out to find this one today. Cute container. TFTC
After a nice walk through the forest in my local area found this cool cache, thanks to the hint. Great hide!
Well hidden! Don’t over think the comments, but the hint is important. A little person might be helpful too!
Not too tricky but not too easy. Found 2 in a row without any hints so I'm on a roll. lovely little spot you've brought us out to... I almost stepped on frog. I actually used to have a cache hidden out here too (under the first bridge) but unfortunately it disappeared after about a year. I wish your cache the best of luck and hope that it can withstand the tests of time. Also this is the first time that I've ever seen an 'official geogache log' (I didn't even know that they existed) so kudos to you for including an official one. I usually just make my own out of paper LOL. Thanks for the cache, I was lucky to find it right on the stroke of midnight!
Found with Shaneo58 on this beautiful sunny day, getting into the thirties. Nice spot for a first find.
Log signed and cache replaced as found.

Just what the Dr ordered. A leisurely 600mt stroll along the foreshore. Passing through the forest, was a little wet underfoot, but with a few detours around the bigger puddles, toes are still dry. I was headed for a ftf on this cache, with Mr & Mrs Chips, from an AL, but I got lost. Funny that. For an area like this, very few birds, a family of plovers, and a solitary pelican, though as I write this sitting on the bridge, a few small wrens are coming out. The sound of the breeze through the she oaks makes up for it. The odd frog, clucking away, and of course, cicadas, but not too bad here. I am sure I have been here before. Tftc.
In the area for the day, great little find in a beautiful little spot.
And if you never found your first cache, we may never have crossed paths and become friends.

Happy Fathers Day to WheezyPuppy and all the caching Dads out there!
The Garbagefamily couldn’t have been happier to recreate the original Minions adventure - and we are similarly glad to have been blessed with great friends and some incredible camping/hiking/kayaking/climbing adventures as part of this wonderful hobby.
We were going to look at one thing but the eldest geokid looked at another and she beat us all to it! Selfie on the nearby lakefront and then back for more MM adventures.
This one earned me a Wonders souvenir too. Yay! TNLN TFTC

This was a really nice walk to GZ, although parts of the track looked like we were in the everglades, though without the alligators and pythons. We soon reached a familar place although quite changed from when we were last here walking the Three Bridges. The cache was nicely hidden aand we were the first to log so took the reward. Thanks Mighty Minions for a good hide and walk, we enjoyed both.
After an adventure with Ronald's ray machine, I headed across to have a go at this one. I'd at first thought that maybe I should have brought my mountain bike, but with all the boggy sections on the track it's probably just as well I hadn't. Once at GZ I soon located the cache.
Many thanks for this enjoyable cache and for enticing me out in the sunshine and fresh air this afternoon.
