With all the recent floods this hiding spot is no longer viable. The cache is also too easily washed away in this area so I've decided to remove it.

Need to replace after flood.

With the Canberra Day Long Weekend upon us, the FFLL ladies and I usually take off towards SA or the likes for some caching, however with the unpredictability of COVID on the borders, we decided we would try for something a little closer to home. We decided that we would come down and have a crack at the VB trail around Eden and Merimbula. It was a great weekend away with both the FFLL ladies and it was nice to see the ocean and get some sun on our faces.

Final day of our short trip away and today we gathered random caches around the traps before making our way home. On our way home and decided to get some caches around Bega. Cache signed and replaced as found.

Thanks for the cache placement JennDL and thanks for the wonderful weekend away FFLL ladies Big Grin Always enjoyable and always something to look forward to.

The Canberra day long weekend falls on the first weekend in March so we usually take this time to head out of town. So this year, the caching troupe of us and Rapidlywild decided to head to the Merimbula to Eden coastline to collect a few smiley's.

Our last day and time to head home but not before doing a few more while still in the area.
We had passed a few on our journey into Merimbula on the Friday we decided to make up for it, so took a detour into these along our way home.
Found, signed and replaced.

Thanks for the hide JennDL

The extended family is down at Tathra for a few days at the beach, foiled by rain, and we are on the way home. We've just been for a walk by the river, and we are now on our way home. There are six of us altogether, and I'm by myself in the truck with all the gear. I'm also the cacher in the family, and I am going to take my time going home. COVID has played havoc with my caching this year. I've found only 60 or so this year. So this is my first go at remedying the situation. I had fun here. I surmised the cache was in a tree, as this is logical for a river bed, but my GPS kept pointing me to a treeless area. I looked at nearby trees with no luck, and gave up. Then I had a thought. I had been unable to load the caches into my GPS as I had forgotten the cable, so I was typing the coords from my phone into the GPS, as the phone, a very old model, has never been any good for finding caches. So I checked my typing, and after correcting my transposition error, the correct tree became evident, and I found it from there easily. Thanks, JennDL.
