After spending the morning in Orewa we stopped off here for another small walk on our way home. Parked up nearby and made a nice quick find.
I found this cache a while ago on a beautiful sunny day. I did all the caches on this road and the coastal walkway almost up to Stillwater, about 25ish caches all in all. Very nice and creative caches on my way and lots and lots of mud... Not sure if this much mud is allowed by the police. Thanks for hiding, Quick find with the help of the hint. Tftc
Today has been an interesting day. Started off on a bit of a bum note when Air New Zealand decided my luggage didn't like flying on the same flight as me, and would come on another one two hours later. What a frustrating waste of time.
However It finished on a high note. I really enjoyed the drive along the road here. There wasn't much traffic and plenty of good quality caches to find.
Cheers and TFTC

Found on a very rainy day with our Boys Brigade group when camping at Dacre Cottage. TFTC.
First find of the day with PHILBIRDBOYS, first good thing of a bit of a disastrous day! TFTC.
After an eventful start and some lost keys we finally found our first cache of the day. TFTC
TFTC. Super windy still! And forgot our pen in the car. Have taken a photo instead
M24: another nice and easy find here, on a roll today. Close to 2000 finds with 5 more to go. Log all good and signed here. TFTC.
1910. 9:44 am. On approach to GZ I was expecting more trees, posts, ... just more. TFT(temporarily replaced)C.
In the area earlier today doing a few caches with my son for easter Monday. Filling logs out now.
GPS issues at this point but Tas managed to find it & add to her telly.
Its now 9-2-0 score between the 3 of us.

Having completed a loop around Shakespeare Reserve it was time to head back west. But not before talking a trip along this cache-rich detour. The drizzle was starting to get persistent so I was grateful for a good hint which lead to a quick find. Thanks AliGle#4450Logged using Cachly.
I had a couple of missions on my mind today, one was to find a mystery cache for a 'mystery a day challenge' GC9BVFZ and also because I need to find 100 caches this month for HQ's challenge and you get 3 souvenirs along the way, so numbers are also important.
I actually started the 5 caches from the carpark, I had done #1 some time ago, but needed to return to find out what of the 'big 5' animals I was searching for. Got that sorted then onto this cache here, had no trouble finding it, good hint too btw, and I was off for #3. Never been on this walk before, so I'm loving it already. Gorgeous weather too and quite hot.

After recent storms and some DNFs on a couple of caches, we checked the caches along the trail this afternoon. All was well with the replacement cache here... we still need to source a suitably themed container.
Nice easy find here. Pleased to be on a side path. The road is surprisingly busy with building trucks so there must be a lot of development going on. Cache is all good. TFTC
After dropping the family off for an overseas flight early this morning, I made sure to allow enough time before heading back to Whangarei, to go for a wander and collect a few caches. I knocked a few off around the Mangere Lagoon and then headed north here to Weiti Road.
I had never been up this road before and I couldn't believe how wide it was and what good condition it was, yet there was almost no traffic ... ??? Surely a road out to the beach, this close to Auckland would be humming..?? It wasn't till I got to the security gate at the end, that I realised why ..
Oh well, little traffic meant for easy searching without too many interruptions. Ran out of cellphone coverage further down the road, so had to return to the top of the hill to download the data for offline use .. Back out at the road end carpark now. Started my walk along the track and cache here was a nice quick find, once I interpreted the hint properly. TFTC

Had looked for this series off caches back in September/October, when this cache had gone missing, but forgot to log them all.
Here today for a bit of fresh air with my son, who's visiting from Wellington. Turned out when we reached the beach to be rather a lot of fresh air, we were being blown of our feet.
Found the temporary replacement. TFTC

I have replaced the original cache with a temporary pill container. The animal name needed for the bonus is written in the cache on the log sheet.
Found the stones as per the hint. Ended up kneeling (well hidden from muggles by the landscaping) to feel under the path but no luck. The cache is missing.
Walking from Stillwater over a very muddy trail we managed to find a few caches but unfortunately not this one!
A nice quick find. Thanks for placing your cache.
I'm in Auckland to house sit while my mother is overseas visting family. Today was a good day weatherwise with only the odd brief shower. Much better than was forecast!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Pleasant weather today after all the rain, so we headed out to do the Weiti Wildlife Walk. Soon spotted animal #2, signed the log and replaced the container. Made sure to note what we had found for the Bonus cache. TFTC
Headed up this way again as we spotted a trail of challenge caches we had qualified for, so thought to make a day of it...Joined by team HeMaLuDy, well actually HeMa only .....
Parked up and headed along the trail to this cache ....
Luckily the weather was on point for the walk, but still managed to get soaking socks as the grass was saturated from the days before rain and a heavy due this morning...
The cache was found in good condition ....
TFTC.

The Stik-A-Crane's planned to do the nearby costal walk and the surrounding roads. Mr and Mrs HeMaLuDy decided to join them for the adventures. Beautiful weather allowed us to really enjoy the very pleasant coast and our day out. We got the last two from the costal walk but park nearby to get the first three. Nice quick find here. TFTC
Came to the North Shore this weekend to go Geocaching for Mothers Day with my son Tim (2FLYTim) we had a lovely walk in to Dacre Cottage and loved the trail set out here. TFTC
Geocaching with Mum (SethRaven) on the North Shore for Mothers Day . . . . . we had no reception for the first 2 so started with #3 and decided to walk the track first . . . . . after having been out to Dacre Cottage, we checked all the notes for Weiti #1 & 2 then came back and made the finds. Thanks for this trail.
Another great cache. Will come back and do the rest of the walk when we have the correct footwear. TFTC

Easy enough to get from the car so it would be rude to leave it behind. I think I'm going to like this series.
Was a easy find maybe make a bit harder and a bit less obvious with the hint.
The ducks nesting under the boardwalk gave me a fright as they rushed into the air from underneath me... this one is my favourite as I have fond memories of these animals from being a child in Asia. T4tc
Had a teacher only day. Out with my amazing grandad Tuty.Sorry for the late log. These are really good caches, thank you!
My Grandson, DragonDefender, had a Teacher-only day at his school and I was put on Grandad duties for the day. So it was planned that we would and try to sign off the caches along the Weiti Puzzle Rd.
Cheers for the cache.

A fun little series on a pretty little walkway, cache located in between passing muggles. TFTC

Nice to see some serious effort has been made to tackle some terrible noxious creeping weed that is slowly strangling native plants in the area. Tftc
Ok I admit it, I drove the car along the road, and took a short cut. It is hot outside, and so I am waiting for shade
As to the cache, it has been moved along from the corner, but look for the rocks, and there is what you seek
Log signed, cache hidden, I am on my way to the water. Thanks for the hide AliGle & Vistra

Last find for today as needed elsewhere brrr!! Will be back for sure to enjoy another lovely weiti walk thx.
Nearly got muggles trying to find this one as we weren't expecting to see anyone around. So after sitting on the grass while they passed and then we could actually find the cache. TFTC
We were having a good look here when we were almost muggled, but we decided to have a nice sit on the grass to discuss the various trees until they passed by. Then we had a quick find. It took longer to get the cache back, so we moved some extra stones.
Now we're off to join the circus.

In the area with Jag 50. The trail is looking a little overgrown but we had no trouble finding the cache
As we approached gz we weren't quite sure where to look for the cache, but once there we saw the obvious rocks and soon after had this cache in hand . Another well themed cache.
Another awesome hide on this walkway. We were beginning to feel like we were on safari. What could be next?
On a geocaching expedition from Nelson. Way back in February Isis58, no.13 and I planned a trip to Auckland for the planned Mega event. When Covid struck and the country went into lockdown we decided to wait and see what happened - - that was less hassle than trying to get refunds on our flights anyway. Well, of course the Mega event was cancelled but luckily for us, flying was an option again by Labour Weekend. We changed some of the details of our trip but decided we would fit in as much caching as we could. We were joined by Mrs SoBad. We visited some amazing places, fitted in some walks, came across lots of people - - lots of traffic too. A huge thank you to the COs for hiding caches which presented us with puzzles to solve, took us to great places, were cleverly camouflaged, were cunningly hidden - - sometimes in plain sight - - all of the above and of course an equal thank you for the ones that just gave us one more smilie. We really really appreciated them all. Thanks !
Off we go on our wildlife walk trying to guess what we might find here. One of us was right. Log signed and we continue on. TFTC # 15,995
We knew what to expect this time and were not disappointed. Very easy track to wander along. Again signed as INSS as we did for all the long weekend.
Thanks.
Thanks.
