Quick stop after visiting Bythorne Park. TFTC! Took shopkins, left Pokmon builders.
Out for a little adventure tonight with Kapybeara and our geo-dog. A lovely road for the geo-dog to sniff out the cache. TFTC
With an increasing number of days with good weather as summer approaches, I have been making an effort to get out and cache more often. Along with this, an effort has also been made to head out to areas where I have either not cached before, or not cached in a long time, in an effort to clear out more of my map. With this in mind, todays plan was to spend the day caching in, and around, the Nairne area. Having stopped at a bakery for lunch, I started making my way around the backstreets picking up caches. This was a nice quick find; I parked, found the cache and I was on my way back into Nairne.Find #8074, at 04:23 pmTFTC

Staying in Mt Barker for the long weekend with iluvtrekking so out n about grabbing some finds. Loving the countryside - our kind of caching. Thanks BoogerBoys2
We saw this is your first geocache - this is our 499th find! Thank you for a cute little hide - we didn’t realise this area existed.
Don't know if I'll make 5 finds today, but this was a welcome break from updating my Dad's phone from an old barely touch screen phone to a modern s art phone. Just got to get a SIM to fit it now...
Staying with friends nearby and enjoying exploring the area . This was one we targeted and found. Thanks
Today after the early birds event in North Adelaide I decided to head up into the hills to do a bit of caching for half the day before other commitments.

Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of the cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks BoogerBoys2 for the cache.
A nice drive along this road to get here. If we had time, I would have explored around here some more. We hunted around a bit as the GPS was jumping around. Finally it settled and there it was. Took Painted Rock, left Lego Piece. Cheers.

Rex and I made it up for this great event, albeit a tad later than planned
After the event we headed out with allister w, alysse14, erine14 and JJ52 to find a few caches[^]
allister had been designated the TOTT for a 3*T cache and he wasn't needed[?]
Then soon after alyyse14 used one of my TOTTs to reach a 4.5*T[^]
By day's end, and after continuing caching once Rex and I had left the others, I'd found 9 caches and attended the cool event[^] for 10 smilies[^]
Professor Sniff was not seen but Rex sure sniffed around while we were finding this cache

I had come up to Nairne to meet earthlight and have a day caching with the object of completing the 3 Adventure Labs in Lenswood, Hahndorf and Nairne and also get any that we passed on our way and some Used 2B's that we targeted as well. [^]
A successful day where it was very cold, but the rain held off for the most part with just an occasional sprinkle and we completed all on our list with time to spare.
This was our last for the day and after finding the cache we headed back for a cuppa, before my big drive home.
Thanks for the cache BoogerBoys2.

Please do keep sanitising often! Keep a safe Distance.
Exercise. Cache. Eat. Cache. Repeat. No dancing, esp with foreigners
And do still stay home if you're sick, and get swabbed !
Support all of our SA regions by hiding many good new caches!
( especially around the Barossa/Light area please [:o)] )
And check your first aid kit is always stocked and in the car ! ! !
Found after work this evening. This looks like a quiet back road but it was sure busy tonight. A quick find. Thanks
This evening whilst chasing a FTF in Nairne, I decided to hang around and find a few geocaches around the town. It was nice sightseeing around the town, but once it got dark and got very nippy/cold, I decided to head home. Bring back daylight savings already!
A great first cache hide that was hidden well. It turned out to be a reasonably quick find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and nice to see a good quality container used also! Thanks BoogerBoys2 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Aussie Mary, Carol from Gizmo's Gang and CPwanderer were out and about grabbing a few caches in and around Nairne before a lovely lunch at The Charleston Pub.
This was an extra, as we drove nearby. Unknown to Mary until logging, she had been messaging the CO, re a GOTH's placed Anniversary series multi from 2012, at the time we made this find. ( So sorry you had such a hard time with the multi.) This was a nice and easy park and grab on a lovely back road of Nairne unlike the multi you experienced.
Aussie Mary and Mark lived in Nairne up until November 2002, and it is so different from when we lived here. Lots more housing, traffic and roads here now. Glad to see some lovely paddocks and a view towards Mount Barker from this cache.

I was out this way on Sunday collecting the new multi's.
Unfortunately for me, my ride didn't have time to take me to this cache.
So after a trip to Hahndorf to complete the adventures lab caches,
I took a quick trip to Nairne & discovered this road went further than I had been.
Cool spot, and not too busy. Thanks for the quick cache BoogerBoys2

The Adder was honoured to be invited out by two lovely ladies. A Rat and an Owl to grab a few hides in and around the Mount Barker area.
The Owl designated the Adder to be the navigator however she was not one to follow the directions given and had her own idea of how to get to the various Ground Zero's, quite often taking the wrong turn or the long way around.
What more can we say? The cache name seems to be apt with the owners name. TFTC

An Owl, a Rat and a Snake sailed away together in an Owlmobile in search of small green boxes. This one was a process of elimination but the Snake spotted what the girls missed.
Three geo animals were out and about finding boxes.

Sniffed my way up the hill. The chicken runs on the other side of the hill would be stinky in summer. Cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

I started 2020 with some improbable caching goals that only lasted until mid February.
Then came Covid-19 and now caching will have to take a back seat or be socially responsible.
No more than one or two people and target caches that haven't been visited in some time.
Then things got even tougher and my last long walk through National Park Belair was the 6th April that cleared all that I hadn't found. I managed a find in Murray Bridge on the 7th whilst running my Octogenarian In law to the chemist and shopping but since then nada Nothing within 20 kms of home as the crow flies.
23 days later and one short of my longest streak EVER without a cache (that was back in 2011) a cache finally gets published close to home. [^] Hey - I know that route In fact it is the walk around the block that we take the dogs on. And the four caches mentioned in this cache - they are ours. And it you count the dog's Water hole cache that would have been the magical five. [B)]
Pst, don't tell anyone but there is already a mystery and a multi cache that end somewhere on that walk if you cut through from Matthew to Pulleine via back streets and the Dog Off Leash park between Clezy and Elm Courts.
As it turns out it was Thursday - my one day to get out of the house and do the grocery shopping. So of course I called in here on the way to shopping. Nobody about - no surprises there. Mmm here. In fact I had been eyeing of a tree to put a cache in just up and around the corner from this one. A quick look at GZ the cache was in the first place I looked. Unfortunately I didn't see it. [:o)][:o)] So after circumnavigating the tree I returned to the likely spot and this time in went the hand and I felt a familiar container. Out came a black cache that had been hiding in the shadows. Opened the log to see a blank log book that now has our name as FTF although I was solo as Sal was at work.

South Australia has now gone 7 days without a new Covid case being recorded and the efforts of South Australians have see the curve flattened in this state.
I have therefore decided to publish some caches as a test to restarting publishing in this state.
If the logs show that the geocaching community are being responsible and not breaking social distancing rules when it comes to finding and writing in the logbook I can publish more submissions.
I have put a watch on the caches published and will monitor the logs. If people breach the rules through large numbers of people attempting a FTF or congregating at a newly published cache this will result in me suspending publication again.
I will not be publishing events at this time and I may need to suspend publication of caches again if the current situation changes.
I look forward to being able to look at your cache submissions and thank everyone for their understanding during this difficult time.
